Short-Lived Cease Fire and The Next One Planned to Be a Big Give-Away

Israel is fighting on 7 fronts;  Lebanon in the North and Gaza are two of them.  Israel is fighting on seven fronts, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Oct. 7, naming Hezbollah on the north-Lebanon, Hamas in Gaza, the Houthis in Yemen, terrorists in the West Bank and Shiite militias in Iraq and Syria, added to Israel’s promised retaliation to Iran’s Oct. 1 missile attacks on central and southern Israel. Most of the 200 missiles were intercepted, U.S. and Israeli leaders said.

The most recent cease fire, starting on November 27, 2024, has been broken by Hezbollah in Lebanon by December 3rd, lasting one week counting the 27th.  

A 14-month-long conflict between the Lebanese militant group Hezbollah and Israel began on 8 October 2023, when Hezbollah launched rockets and artillery at Israeli positions following the 7 October Hamas-led attack on Israel.

1.  Egypt has released a new ceasefire proposal the would include a preliminary 60 day ceasefire  (cease fire was broken in 1 week by Hezbollah in Lebanon)

 2. and IDF withdrawal from the Rafah crossing, which would be managed and supervised by the Palestinian Authority. PA's Assad, 89 years old,  is hated by PAs themselves..none reliable. Hamas born out of PA.  

3. After the first week of the ceasefire,(then they will break the ceasefire)  living hostages (how many left?) would be released in exchange for hundreds of terrorists released from Israeli prisons.

 Hamas has yet to respond to the proposal. President-elect Trump's new envoy, Steve Witkoff, met with Prime Minister Netanyahu and Qatari Prime Minister Mohammed al-Thani in an attempt to reach a deal before the January 20 inauguration.                                       

Steve Witkoff:  Witkoff was born to a Jewish family in the Bronx and raised in Baldwin Harbor, New York and Old Westbury, New York, the son of Martin and Lois Witkoff. His father was a manufacturer of ladies' coats in New York City. He earned a J.D. from Hofstra University. After school he worked for the real estate law firm Dreyer & Traub, where one of his clients was Donald Trump

Qatar's Prime Minister al-Thani: In January 19, 2021, the day before Joe Biden became president, the United States, represented by the United States Department of Defense, awarded Sheikh Mohammed with the Department of Defense Medal for Distinguished Public Service, one of the highest honors bestowed by the US to officials. The then US National Security Adviser Robert C. O'Brien gave the medal to the Ambassador of Qatar to the US Sheikh Meshaal bin Hamad Al Thani, on behalf of Sheikh Mohammed.

This award was in recognition of his exemplary diplomatic efforts to strengthen relations between the State of Qatar and the United States, to support and advance peace efforts in Afghanistan (including the signing of the US–Taliban peace deal on February 29, 2020, as well as the launch of the Afghan peace process on September 12, 2020), to promote stability and prosperity in the Middle East North Africa region, and to resolve the Gulf Crisis through diplomacy
