Israel has had to face 10,000 Hamas fighters in GazaHamas fighters breached the Gaza–Israel barrier, attacking military bases and massacring civilians in 21 communities, including Be'eri, Kfar Aza, Nir Oz, Netiv Haasara, and Alumim. According to an IDF report that revised the estimate on the number of attackers, 6,000 Gazans breached the border in 119 locations into Israel, including 3,800 from the "elite Nukhba forces" and 2,200 civilians and other militants. Additionally, the IDF report estimated 1,000 Gazans fired rockets from the Gaza Strip, bringing the total number of participants on Hamas's side to 7,000. from Wikipedia on October 7th 2023 Hamas led attack
On October 7, 2023, Israel was attacked by Hamas and several other Palestinian militant groups, on their last day of a Jewish holiday, Succot and Simchat Torah, in the goriest, bloodiest, most disgusting slaughter man has ever created along the border towns in Israel of Gaza. Hundreds of dancers were slaughtered outright and a few hundred were taken as hostages, who faced being slaughtered later. Those remaining are unknown and still held as hostages by this date of 12/24/2024. The attackers were launched, coordinated and armed incursions from the Gaza Strip into the Gaza Envelope of southern Israel. This was the 1st invasion of Israeli territory since the 1948 Arab-Israeli War, nastily held on a Jewish holiday celebrating life. I don't think the outside world will ever understand the meaning of all this; the horror! We've heard it was 3 years in the planning, and then carried out on trusting young people who saw some of the attackers as people who had been in their own homes working for their parents, now high on the glee of bloodying the Jews.
Iranian media reported that Tehran used a new missile, the Fattah-1,
in attacks on Israel. Tehran describes the Fattah-1 as a “hypersonic”
missile – meaning it travels at Mach 5, or five times the speed of
sound (about 3,800 miles per hour, 6,100 kilometers per hour).
But analysts point out that almost all ballistic missiles reach
hypersonic speed during their flights, especially as they dive towards
their targets. (updated)
Hezbollah is reportedly now focusing on "internal reorganization" and rebuilding its political and organizational structure after losing dozens of prominent military, political and administrative figures during the war. It is also investigating the pager explosions and deciding where to bury Nasrallah.
Hanukkah menorah on coins found in digs in Israel 12/23/24Hanukkah begins tomorrow night. For 8 days and nights we kindle lights and celebrate the miracles of the oil, the military victory of the Maccabees over the Hellenist Syrian empire and the victory of Judaism over Hellenism. After the tragedy and horrors of October 7, the nation of Israel seemed to be in existential danger, facing off against a powerful axis of evil led by Iran, tens of thousands of Hamas terrorists to the south and over 150k Hezbollah missiles and tens of thousands of experienced terrorist soldiers capable of destroying large parts of the country to the north. Today, thanks to the sacrifice of hundreds of soldiers who paid the ultimate price and hundreds of thousands others who fought, and continue to fight, Hamas stands in ruins, Hezbollah has been severely degraded and push back from our borders, Syria's military capabilities has been destroyed and Syria is no longer a base for Iranian soldiers and weaponry, and Iran has been crippled and its axis rendered impotent. Our hostages remain in captivity, but we hope that current negotiations will succeed in releasing them very soon.
Potato latkas fried in oilOn this Hanukkah, as we look at where we stand today as opposed to where we were 14 months ago, we can be thankful for the miracles that have brought us to this day, pay tribute to the many who gave their lives to ensure our safety, and pray for the immediate release of all of our hostages, for comfort to the widows and orphans of our brave soldiers, and for true and lasting peace.
May we all merit to see miracles in our own lives, for the nation of Israel and for the entire world. Happy Hanukkah!
To Remember: A 14-month-long conflict between the Lebanese militant group Hezbollah and Israel began on 8 October 2023, when Hezbollah launched rockets and artillery at Israeli positions following the 7 October Hamas-led attack on Israel.
On 8 October 2023, a day after Hamas launched its 7 October 2023 attacks on Israel and Israel began its bombing of Gaza, Hezbollah joined the conflict in "solidarity with the Palestinians", initially firing on Israeli military outposts in Shebaa Farms and the Golan Heights — both territories under Israel.
Since then, Hezbollah and Israel have been involved in cross-border military exchanges that have displaced entire communities in Israel and Lebanon, with significant damage to buildings and land along the border.
USA mock 5 missile: traveling more than 5 X the speed of sound...How did Iran get such missiles? From Who? To confront, it's like hitting a bullet with a bullet, they say. It's grown into an intercontinental missile war from Iran to Israel, where Iran brags about their missiles going at mock 5 speed, reaching Israel in 11 minutes; which means more like mock 6 speed. These missiles each are huge, as big as a bus, and when hit scatter the pieces on the ground in large sections, doing the job of injuring anyone under these pieces. Tel Aviv has already been a target.
From 7 October 2023 to 20 September 2024, there were 10,200 cross border attacks, of which Israel launched 8,300. Over 96,000 people in Israel and over 111,000 in Lebanon have been displaced during this period. Israel and Hezbollah have maintained their attacks at a level that causes harm without escalating into a full-scale war.
On 6 April 2023, in response to the 2023 Al-Aqsa clashes, dozens of rockets were fired from Lebanon into Israel, injuring three Israeli civilians. The Israel Defense Forces said that it intercepted 25 rockets fired from Lebanon, which it said were fired by Palestinian factions Hamas and PIJ with Hezbollah's approval.
The attacks were the largest escalation between the two countries since the 2006 Lebanon War. The United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) described the situation as "extremely serious" and urged restraint.

It was the first direct military clash between Iran and Israel in their ongoing conflict. Iran's envoy to the United Nations stated on April 14 that the attacks can be thought as "finished". The United States, United Kingdom, and Jordan helped Israel by using their air forces to intercept Iranian missiles. One person was injured by part of a missile, and 31 others suffered minor injuries. Israeli Forces claimed they intercepted most of the Iranian projectiles.
Ismail Haniyeh was Hamas's overall leader until the group confirmed his death in Tehran, Iran in July.On 15 July, the IDF fired warning shots and used riot dispersal munitions on 18 people, including journalists and parliamentarians that crossed the border from Lebanon and walked 80 meters into Israeli-occupied territory.
Israel hit the Hezbollah Headquarters located in Beirut, Lebanon on September 27th, 2024. The biggest blast to hit the Lebanese capital in the past year appeared likely to push the escalating conflict closer to full-fledged war. This attack is also because Israel got Ismael Haniyeh, their leader, the Lebanese reported. At least two people were killed and dozens were wounded, Lebanon's health ministry said. Israeli army spokesman Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari said the strikes targeted the main Hezbollah headquarters, saying it was located underground beneath residential buildings.
This past week, Tel Aviv has been hit by Yemen's missiles, supplied by Iran, no doubt.
Yemen’s Iran-backed Houthi rebels fired another ballistic missile at Israel early Tuesday morning, triggering sirens across the center of the country as well as in southern Israel, for the third time in less than a week. The Israel Defense Forces said it managed to intercept the missile before it entered Israeli airspace. According to a military source, the projectile was shot down using the long-range Arrow air defense system, which is designed to take out ballistic missiles outside of the atmosphere.
