Netanyahu of Likud Accused of Fraud, Breach of Trust and Bribery By Labor ???

Netanyahu protecting Israel in UN by showing Iran's development of atomic energy to use on Israel as a bomb.  “It’s not a question of whether Iran will get the bomb. The question is at what stage can we stop Iran from getting the bomb,” said Netanyahu , who also accused Iran of aggression. This happened in September 28, 2012.  That was only 12 years ago.  

Now he is being charged at the Hague;  The world’s top war-crimes court, who issued arrest warrants Thursday for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, his former defense minister, Gallant,  and Hamas’ military chief, accusing them of crimes against humanity in connection with the 13-month war in Gaza.  The UN is always attacking Israel per se, and they have no power, but all the countries have signed on to arrest them, except a few, like the USA.  

Netanyahu has had a problem with the court, and he is the one being charged for his past in accepting gifts he shouldn't have.  He's a member of the Likud political party.  It's probably the Labor party members who are doing the charging, his opposition.  After seeing the shenanigans that have gone on in the USA, it would not be surprising to see one party attacking the other in impossible ways if they can get away with it.  Who else would be after Bibi's position?    

Netanyahu is set to begin testifying on December 10 -----after a series of delays stemmingYe Hezbollah in Lebanon.

He is accused of fraud and breach of trust in three separate cases, including one in which he is also facing the more serious charge of bribery.

It may continue for years and will likely include testimony from hundreds of witnesses. The first week of witness testimony wrapped up Wednesday with the former CEO of the Walla news site, Ilan Yeshua, telling the court he was repeatedly instructed to skew the site in favor of Netanyahu as part of an alleged deal.  Yeshua is a key witness in Case 4000, where the prime minister is accused of establishing an illegal quid pro quo with the owners of Walla in which they gave him favorable coverage and he granted them immensely lucrative regulatory favors.

Yeshua recounted how he was repeatedly instructed by his bosses and people close to Netanyahu to skew the news site, Israel’s second-largest, toward positive coverage of the premier and criticism of his rivals — and said he believed those instructions were part of a tradeoff deal between Netanyahu and the site’s owners.  On Tuesday, Yeshua detailed how he was asked to be part of a coverup effort to hide the alleged quid pro quo deal. The testimony was heard despite efforts by Netanyahu’s lawyers to disqualify parts of it.

Meanwhile, the High Court of Justice rejected a petition on Wednesday requesting that Netanyahu be forced to recuse himself from his position for the duration of his testimony, saying the request was political rather than judicial in nature and that the petitioners had not supplied enough factual evidence to back their request.

Netanyahu has consistently denied any wrongdoing in all three cases, which revolve around allegations of gift-taking and attempts to parlay his official powers for more flattering media coverage. He has claimed that the charges were fabricated in a witch hunt led by the police and state prosecution.  I know;  Trump was always denying his accusation by the Democrats, but he hadn't been PM of a tiny country already who led them to safety like Netanyahu has done.  When the chips have been down, the people turned to Netanyahu for help.  

Walla!'s web portal provides news, search (powered by Google Search) and e-mail, among other things. As of January 2022, Alexa rankings put it in the top 9 sites by traffic originating in Israel. Its online news outlet Walla! News is one of the major Israeli news websites. edited 9/33am.  At the hearing, former Walla! news CEO Ilan Yeshua, a central witness in Case 4000, gave testimony in a counter-interrogation. According to the Haaretz report, during the hearing, Yeshua claimed that he did not know that coverage in Netanyahu's favor is a criminal act.  Edited: 12/8/24
