Obama and Netanyahu Discussed on CNN Sunday Morning: Need for Obama's Legacy

Nadene Goldfoot
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, age 65

Netanyahu was discussed during CNN's programming this Sunday morning by several interviewers.  His ears should be burning.   He is the major topic on many news programs.

One major thing that was mentioned as to why Obama is so angry with Netanyahu was that Obama has been counting on the Palestinian 2 state solution as something he can leave as his legacy.  His LEGACY!    Evidently he doesn't know that it is good deeds that determine one's legacy in life.  My opinion is that he expects something that is outrageous of Israel and Netanyahu to be forced to think that at this inopportune time Palestine is going to be created.  Nothing shows that they are ready for such a responsibility.  It isn't a  good deed to force Israel to sign an agreement that will be giving away their teeny land to people who have no heart for them.  You're asking Netanyahu to sign a death sentence for his people.  It has been the Palestinians all along that have refused any sort of good deal where the Labor party of Israel was giving away far too much as it was.  Obama should have been putting pressure on the Arabs, not the Israelis who have had land taken away.  Look at what happened with Gaza!

John McCain said, "Get over your temper tantrum, Mr. President' in reference to his behavior towards Benjamin Netanyahu.  John McCain had a great understanding of Netanyahu's position and he responded positively when pundits jumped on Netanyahu's election comments such  as "A Palestine will not be created while I'm Prime Minister, and "the Palestinians are coming out in droves to vote!"  Are you going to tell me that the Democrats never said about the Republicans that they are getting out to vote and that the Democrats must do the same?  Did you ever stop to think that the Arabs had been  pressured by Obama's illegal act of having an office in Tel Aviv selling Herzog to the Israeli voters?   I've discussed this already on a previous article I'll list at the bottom of this page.  I'm just happy Israelis didn't buy into such a dastardly act by the USA to change the course of Israeli voting.

New Yorker, 51 year old Fareed Zakaria, Mumbai, India Muslim Newscaster with CNN

Fareed Zakaria in the next segment  has a way of interviewing that doesn't say much about how he feels about things, but did make a comment at the end of his program that told me he does understand more than he lets on about Israel.  However, he opened with the fact that 4.5 million Arabs are living in Judea and Samaria and that Iran's plan in life is not to attack Israel but wants there to be a referendum that allows them and the Jews to decide on a Palestine. That's a very blanket statement.  It's not all that easy to know how many Arabs there are. They're even been known to pad their numbers.    In checking population numbers, I found that the Jerusalem Post reported on July 11, 2013 that there were 4.5 million Arabs in Judea and Samaria. This number included Gaza.

"On the eve of International Population Day, the bureau published a statistical review that showed that the “total population of Palestine at mid- 2013 was about 4.42 million; 2.24 million males and 2.18 million females.” The estimated population of the West Bank was 2.72 million, while the estimated population of the Gaza Strip totaled 1.7 million, according to the review.

Data revealed that the Palestinian population is a young one; the percentage of individuals under the age of 14 constituted 40% of the total population at mid-2013." On November 11, 2014, the population of Arabs in Judea and Samaria were just over 1 million.  Aruts Sheva reported that number.  Living as 1st class citizens in Israel are another group of  1.7 million Arabs with 6 million Jews.

I might add that in July 1972 almost a million Arabs lived in the administered by Israel areas, 640,000 of them in Judaea and Samaria which was on 2,270 sq. miles.  388,600 lived in the Gaza Strip of 140 sq. miles.  At that time there were also included in the count the North Sinai area  Arabs now in Egypt's hands.   8,000 Arabs and Druze  lived in the Golan Heights of 500 sq. miles now belonging to Israel.   The only Christian Arabs were living mainly in Ramallah, Bethlehem and Beit Jala that have now been taken over predominately by the Muslims.

Elliott Abrams 67 year old is an American diplomat, lawyer and political scientist who served in foreign policy positions for U.S. Presidents, Ronald Reagan and George W. Bush.
Now this is pretty ridiculous.  This is what has been going on for 66 years, now, and at the end of the program, Elliott Abrams said just as much.  Never did anyone comment, except maybe Abrams and finally Zakaria, I'd have to look at the transcript, about Hamas being the reason Netanyahu has changed his opinion about a 2 state solution.

Hamas terrorism  has changed the course of the PLO who had changed into Fatah, and the original PLO was not for creating a Palestine but to destroy Israel.  The big problem facing Netanyahu is that Fatah has teamed up with Hamas (they're all terrorists)  in running Judea and Samaria.  Their goal is to destroy Israel.  They've been doing that from Gaza which Hamas has taken over.  You simply can't be in your right mind and expect Israel to be able to not say yes to them in creating a state next door that will be aiming to destroy them!

Martin Indyk, 63 year old UK, the Vice President and Director for Foreign Policy at the Brookings Institution in Washington, D.C.Wikipedia, and has the reputation of being anti-Israel.
Martin Indyk, former ambassador to Israel, and remembered for bashing Israel on Yom Kippur, finally relented to this major fact, but feels Israel isn't helping by creating settlements. "Indyk, who left his role as U.S. special envoy for Israeli-Palestinian negotiations in July 2014 , lashed out at the Jewish state for showing “disrespect” to the Obama administration and warned that the historically strong U.S.-Israel “relationship is in trouble,” according to an audio recording of the event obtained by the Washington ."  I imagine he had a hissy-fit when Netanyahu accepted Boehner's invitation to speak to the Senators.

Oooh,   the land may be coveted by the Arabs as their future state--of which they only decided they needed in about 1967 when Israel won a major war and got back land that had been earmarked as theirs in the first place, but it isn't the Palestinian Arabs' land and never was.  Truth is that they want it because it is Jewish with Jewish history that they want to wipe out.    What they've been doing is just living there without having a claim.  They have been squatters.  In the USA, early pioneers had a Homestead Act, but this land that was once part of the Ottoman Empire was lost to the Empire at the end of WWI and the Allies then controlled the land with mandates. There was no Homestead Act for them.  Martin is a known Israel basher.  He met his match with Abrams who was quick on the trigger to counter Indyk's negative comments and give some facts that Israel bashers like to forget.

Jews were able to negotiate before WWI ended with the Brits to gain back land that had been Jewish under Kings Saul, David, Solomon etc until 70 CE when the Romans attacked and took the land and renamed it in 135 CE as Palaestina (Palestine).  Jews had to wait from 70 CE to 1917 CE--1,987 years to get back their original land that was deeded to them by G-d, by the way.  Deny G-d's rule and you deny the Ten Commandments that came out of that ruling.  Deny that and you negate Christianity.  Deny that and you negate Islam, for all these events led to Jews living in Saudi Arabia who brought such things with them such as the Ten Commandments and the Bible of which Mohammad was able to listen to oral readers in the streets and start to think about such things.

Palestinian Arabs had no burning desire to have their own state until their leaders said so.  They are a conglomerate from all the neighboring Middle East states; people out of work looking for a way to feed their families and live better, so came to work for the returning Jews that were building in the land belonging to the Ottoman Empire.  All was fine until Haj Amin al-Husseini, the Sherif of Jerusalem and Grand Mufti led the people, who were easily exited, into rioting against the Jews.  Jews had always remained in the land and had never left, and were happy to have those who were self-exiled return.  From then on, Jews had to be wary of Arabs who could turn on them and did.  The Grand Mufti in turn was jealous of the leadership of Emir Feisal who was appointed King of Iraq and Syria by the mandates and he had been for the return of Jews and a Jewish state-as long as he got his fair share.

As long as the Arabs were not willing to accept Israel as a Jewish state and were NOT willing to allow them to live in peace without being attacked, Israel decided to use the land that internationally is legally theirs.  Now, we can argue international laws, and I've read the arguments of many famous international lawyers who say the land belongs to Israel.  I have not seen any convincing argument other than the UN expletives against Israel's right to the land.  One would think that the Arabs would say okay, you're a state.  You live and we will live next door and we'll get along like the USA and Canada, but oh no.  It's not like that at all.  It's like being next door to IS; never knowing when they will attack, never knowing when suicide bombers will get into your child's school.  I go with Golda Meir's famous comment that when the Arabs love their children more than they hate Jews/Israel; well-that's when they will be ready to be a state.  Certainly not when they team up with Hamas and pretend to have the people to run their state.  Netanyahu was being rational in his comment but the Oval office is evidently  brain dead in understanding this.

President Barack Hussein Obama (age 53)   in Cairo June 2009  at age 47 speaking to Muslim Brotherhood and students
Obama used to be a college professor of USA law.  His actions have not shown that he understands that he is not a king but shares leadership with Congress and the Supreme Court.  I don't think he knows much about international law, especially situations affecting Israel.

In summation, Obama is acting foolish with his dislike for Netanyahu.  Settlements are beyond the scope of understanding of those who really haven't dug into the facts and Iran's idea of having a referendum would only decide to drive Israel into the sea, I guarantee you.  They've been trying to do such things through the UN.

Which brings up another fact.  Obama is threatening to not back Israel at the UN and threatens to accept  the state of Palestine.  The question of the day on TV should have been, not how Bibi treated Obama, but how Obama has been treating Netanyahu, and that they really did discuss.  The answer is-beneath the dignity of the chair of the President of the USA to a long time friend and only Democratic state in the Middle East.

  1. i have loved that golda mier quote for a long time. it is part why i started viewing israel in a light other than news media told me but mainly because i read and study the bible. it has shown me the world, here in this little corner of it that i occupy, because God has told us through the bible what is to be. i believe obama is a globalist. america is only his stepping stone to a greater spot on the world stage and he will be rewarded for handing over america as a prize. his "work" here is nearly done. turning on israel is the point of no return and pedal to the metal now. he is not hiding his agenda any more. so it is no wonder he has been (with many others for decades-longer actually) undermining the sovereignty and very existence of israel because she is to be thrown under the bus. i saw you brought up indyk. yes i know about him and who he takes his marching orders from. i won't go into it here right now, but i have much more i feel about all of this. so israel has to go down. israel does not suit the globalist picture just like a free america does not either. the cast of characters are in place and the curtain is about to open. from here on out, with netanyahu returned to that key position, i truly believe 2015 will see the mounting issues concerning the "burdensome stone" jerusalem, and all other nations proceeding to the fulfilling of the final prophecies i have studied for over 8 years. i am an expert at nothing here..i am stating an opinion....but i watch history....and it is repeating....and coming back to loom larger each time. i believe the stage is set. this will be epic what is coming into view on the horizon............

  2. Wow! Yes, Golda was so wise, truly a picture of the mother who was able to take care of things, something Hilary isn't. As I study the bible, I believe I see many avenues open for choices and if the wrong avenue is taken, a horrible choice has been selected. It's up to our behaviors as to what happens. As you say, the curtain is about to go up on a stage with quite a cast of characters. We have the power, as if we have a TV clicker in our hands, to control the events, but what will be chosen for the final scene? Hope and pray for our sakes that Obama will not fulfill his role and will stumble with his script in his turning against Israel. I wrote plays and helped to produce them when I lived in Israel and I can't come up with a better script right now. Whatever I write seems impossible, so it's up to the good Lord to see to the future, for sure. Whatever, please let Israel come out okay. Somewhere I had a vision of Israel being circled by fire but not consumed in it; being spared. History 2's version of the Nostradomus effect was quite scary-yesterday, I think it was on. Everyone has a vision right now that is very frightening.

  3. Andre, please read this article I wrote. http://goldfoot_genealogy.blogspot.com/2014/12/judah-ben-samuel-of-regensburg-prophet.html. It's a prophecy about 2017. It's about Israel's redemption that is to take place then. The prophet is connected to me. Well, at least in 2017 we'll have a different president. I think he'll be more favorable to Israel.

  4. nadene, thanks for the link for me to check out. what i do not know about all this is the some of the fuzzy details in the middle, it is like seeing things in the shadows that have not had the full spectrum of light cast upon it but is coming into focus. becoming a clearer picture by the day. politically this is all headed into the ditch-very terrible results and answerable for the great damage caused. the answer to all that is weighing so heavy upon the world will not come through men. what i do know about this is the outcome.....the God of jacob keeps His promises to israel and she with all odds against her, lives to tell His story (that has always been her story too). 2017 is a jubilee year-release! and a 70 year anniversary. the number 7 is a highly significant number in the bible denoting spiritual completion. 70 is 7 multiplied. wow! that comforts me regarding how things will turn out. i see bad things coming. very bad. but good will come because God is good. and His is the final word. He loves His own and He will never leave nor forsake. like the story of job who was devastated for a time then restored incredibly--beauty for ashes.

Isa 49:13 Sing, O heavens; and be joyful, O earth; and break forth into singing, O mountains: for the LORD hath comforted his people, and will have mercy upon his afflicted.
Isa 49:14 But Zion said, The LORD hath forsaken me, and my Lord hath forgotten me.
Isa 49:15 Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee.
Isa 49:16 Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me.

Isa 49:24 Shall the prey be taken from the mighty, or the lawful captive delivered?
Isa 49:25 But thus saith the LORD, Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered: for I will contend with him that contendeth with thee, and I will save thy children.
Isa 49:26 And I will feed them that oppress thee with their own flesh; and they shall be drunken with their own blood, as with sweet wine: and all flesh shall know that I the LORD am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob.

peace and rest will come to israel--and to all whose trust is in the LORD.

  6. Starting with Ted Cruz's announcement this morning that he's running for President and speaks of supporting Israel unlike Obama and California's governor saying that Cruz is unfit is quite a start at that. I figure every morning is reason to get up and see where we are. Life is not going to be boring!

  7. Yes, answering your 1st reply, I see horrible things happening already with the development of IS, Obama going against Israel so strongly, etc. This morning I heard of a traffic murder where a freeway had a car cut off another coming off a ramp and the black lady driver honked and the other car shot her in the head! What is happening to our people! Here we have impatience turning deadly and racial implications. I swear it's like a horrible virus has been turned onto people. The cap of the vial holding the virus has been opened. Lesson here is not to honk at anyone, and be patient on freeways. Leave 1/2 hr earlier nowdays to have patience and don't carry guns. Whatever is going to happen, we don't want to throw fuel onto the fire. Start doing good deeds and love your family.

  8. Had to look up Isaiah and see why he was writing this. 49:4 is where Isaiah was frustrated when he saw that people ignored his preaching, but said that G-d knows that he put all his effort into it, and that the failure was not his fault. On 49:7, he begins a new prophecy: When G-d redeems Israel, which has been despised...loatherd...a servant," its disgrace will be ended and it will be honored by kings and rulers who will recognize that the redemption came about because of G-d. Isaiah is still frustrated by the contempt with which his prophecies had been treated. Sounds like what Netanyahu may feel after trying to tell people of the danger from Iran. Then in 49:24-26 the nations argue that they were justified in conquering and exiling Israel as a fair-punishment for their sins, but G-d rejects their claim. Well, this is an example of history repeating itself, alright. This happened in the days of the Babylonian conquest of Judah in 597-586 BCE. People are still trying to conquer little Israel, a much smaller one than the first but people still covet it and so want to destroy it.
