Blasts from Iran About Israel: And the June 2015 Deadline

Ahmadinejad, former President of Iran (2005-2013)  before Rouhani, showed little knowledge of Israel or of Jews by his comments when he was in office.   "Ahmadinejad said "most Jews in Israel  have no roots in Palestine, but they are holding the destiny of Palestine in their hands and allow themselves to kill the Palestinian people."  As he was talking basically to his people, he could snow them also as they, unless perhaps there are historians among them with access to actual facts, know nothing of the connection of Jewish history.   I find many are not giving permission to Ashkenazi Jews who had been in Europe as having any rights to live in Israel.  This comes from a country that had housed Jews since 722 BCE  when Assyria invaded Israel and again in 586 BCE when the Babylonians invaded Israel.  Many Jews wound up in Persia from these population transfers.  

It shows they know nothing of Haj Amin al-Husseini, Grand Mufti of Jerusalem who instigated attacks on Jews there in 1929 where they killed many Jews.  This Arab was appointed to this  mufti of Jerusalem position by Sir Herbert Samuel, an English Jew who was the high commissioner acting on the mandate England held to bring about the Jewish Homeland once again, who also was ignorant of the hatred he would show Jews.    It was the Palestinian Arabs who were killing Jews up to and after May 14, 1948 and all Jews did was to defend themselves.  It is the Palestinians who have been the aggressive ones who came to the land looking for jobs from the Jews in the first place.

Ahmadinejad and Iran have not accepted facts about the Holocaust.  His thoughts about it in 2005:

“Some European countries insist on saying that during World War II, Hitler burned millions of Jews and put them in concentration camps. Any historian, commentator or scientist who doubts that is taken to prison or gets condemned. Although we don't accept this claim, if we suppose it is true... If the Europeans are honest they should give some of their provinces in Europe – like in Germany, Austria or other countries – to the Zionists and the Zionists can establish their state in Europe. You offer part of Europe and we will support it." Here again, he is in complete denial about our history in Europe.  If he knows about it, he's not about to share facts with his people. In 2006 on December 11  he said, "The Zionist regime will be wiped out soon the same way the Soviet Union was, and humanity will achieve freedom." On Israel's 60th birthday in 2008, he said, "Those who think they can revive the stinking corpse of the usurping and fake Israeli regime by throwing a birthday party are seriously mistaken. Today the reason for the Zionist regime's existence is questioned, and this regime is on its way to annihilation. Ahmadinejad also stated that Israel has reached the end like a dead rat after being slapped by the Lebanese. Later, he said: The Zionist regime is dying, and The criminals imagine that by holding celebrations (...) they can save the Zionist regime from death. Ahmadinejad also stated that They should know that regional nations hate this fake and criminal regime and if the smallest and briefest chance is given to regional nations they will destroy (it) In July 2012, ahead of Qods Day, Ahmadinejad said that "any freedom lover and justice seeker in the world must do its best for the annihilation of the Zionist regime in order to pave the path for the establishment of justice and freedom in the world," and that the ultimate objective of world forces must be the annihilation of the "Zionist regime". Ahmadinejad added that “the Zionist regime is both the symbol of the hegemony of the Zionism over the world and the means in the hand of the oppressor powers for expansion of their hegemony in the region and in the world” and that "liberating Palestine" would solve all of the world's problems. Ahmadinejad also made allegations that Zionists control the world's media and financial systems, and that a "horrible Zionist current" had been managing world affairs for "about 400 years.  This is typical anti-Semitic propaganda, something he's picked up from Europe.   In August 2012, at an annual protest against the existence of Israel, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said that "the very existence of the Zionist regime is an insult to humanity" and that "the Zionist regime and the Zionists are a cancerous tumor. Even if one cell of them is left in one inch of (Palestinian) land, in the future this story (of Israel's existence) will repeat."[ Ahmadinejad also said that Israel would soon be finished off, and that “the nations of the region will soon finish off the usurper Zionists in the Palestinian land". Ahmadinejad added that "it is dangerous if even 10% of the territory is given to the Zionists." Ahmadinejad also said, "The western powers cannot tolerate criticism of the Zionist regime. They feel compelled to defend it Secretary-General Kofi Annan was “shocked” at some of Ahmadinejad's remarks. Ahmadinejad was in a protest called "The World without Zionism" and has derided Israel  many times.  He even asked regional powers to cut diplomatic and economic ties with Israel and stop oil sales them them.  Now everyone is worried about Iran's nuclear program. Ahmadinejad's Israeli comments have been criticized by the USA, EU and UN.                                                                     United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon condemned Ahmadinejad's                                                                   remarks, as well as remarks by Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei, which he called "offensive and inflammatory statements." Ban said that the region's leaders should "use their voices at this time to lower, rather than to escalate, tensions. EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton said that she "strongly condemns the outrageous and hateful remarks threatening Israel's existence by the Supreme Leader and the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran." Ashton added that "Israel's right to exist must not be called into question.  .  United States National Security Council spokesman Tommy Vietor said "Iran's blatant disregard for basic human rights is the real insult to humanity." Vietor condemned "the latest series of offensive and reprehensible comments by senior Iranian officials that are aimed at Israel" as "hateful and divisive rhetoric."On 2 August 2013, while Iranians were commemorating al-Quds Day, (Jerusalem Day as they see it to belong to the Arabs)  Ahmadinejad warned of an impending regional storm that would uproot Israel. He also said that Israel ".has no place in the region."                                                                       Rouhani, new Iranian President  October 2005:  Iran's new president, Ahmadinejad,  has repeated a remark from a former ayatollah that Israel should be "wiped out from the map," insisting that a new series of attacks will destroy the Jewish state, and lashing out at Muslim countries and leaders that acknowledge Israel.  Rouhani isn't trusted by Netanyahu, either.                                                                    "Iran's Rouhani in 2013 said  Israel is isolated after Geneva nuclear deal."  Is there any wonder why Netanyahu needs to talk to the USA Senate about this? To Netanyahu, this deal going on is a historic mistake.  " Netanyahu replied that  Iran is on course to develop a nuclear bomb within six months and time has run out for further negotiations" "From May 2006 to March 2007, the United Nations Security Council passed a series of resolutions requiring Iran to terminate its nuclear enrichment programs. It imposed sanctions on nuclear material and technology entering Iran, and also placed further restrictions on imports and exports with the exception of development and humanitarian aid. The Iranian leader remained defiant." During four years of international negotiations over its disputed nuclear program, during which U.N.-sponsored sanctions have hit Iran's economy hard, Steinitz said in 2013, " the Islamic Republic had only improved its capabilities." "If the Iranians continue to run, in another half a year they will have bomb capability," he said. That brings us to today.  Netanyahu has said that ""The Iranians are spinning in the media so that the centrifuges can keep on spinning." Right now, "The U.S. and its allies must deal with both Iran's nuclear program and its ballistic missile program.  "The original agreement between Iran and the 5+1 big powers – the Security Council five of the U.S., Russia, China, France and U.K. plus Germany – was concluded with smiles in Geneva on November 24, 2013. There was a dramatic 4:30 a.m. close as befits a document rightly hailed as historic, the first agreement between the U.S. and Iran since the latter’s revolution, comparable to the Nixon-Kissinger reconciliation with Communist China. All the signers agreed to have the principles all tied up by March 2015. It won’t happen because of the pre-Christmas announcement by President Barack Obama that the deadline had been pushed back to June 2015. "Just about every western leader is consistently on record saying “No deal is better than a bad deal.The 5 have used sanctions against Iran to change their goals.  ” However, now "Russia and China are apt to accept any Iranian compromise they can package as reasonable. They can return to raking in millions in Iranian trade. Iran knows and is empowered by this. No one is talking about dismantling Iran’s program anymore, except Israel and Kissinger.   "A bad deal is any deal that lifts the sanctions while leaving Iran as a threshold nuclear power with the chance to sneak out a bomb. Sixty percent of the work required to enrich uranium to bomb-grade levels of purity is done by enriching it to 3.5 percent. Since it signed the November 2013 Joint Plan of Action, Iran has enriched enough uranium to produce two bombs. What’s more, Iran is seeking to procure parts for its heavy-water plutonium reactor at Arak. Rather than acknowledge the simple truth that Iran is violating its commitment, the State Department insists this is not a clear violation. Even worse, Iran has repeatedly refused to allow the IAEA access to its installations or to inform the IAEA about the past activities of its military. We are in the dark – and the putative  agreement that is being talked about will not prevent Iran from continuing its activities. The administration has ignored its previous commitment to Congress to ensure that Iran will not have nuclear weapons. It has acted in a way that ensures that Iran will pay no price for negotiating in bad faith and will suffer no consequences for recalcitrance." Henry Kissinger, former Secretary of State,  Fears Iran Talks Will Lead to Nuclear Mideast. He voices grave concerns about the Obama administration’s anemic negotiations with Iran. Rational people and their nations see Iran as being hateful against Israel.  There is no dispute about this.it is thought that they will be the first target on Iran's agenda. We now have a" territorial crescent controlled by Iran stretching from the Mediterranean Sea in the west through Syria and Iraq. Afghanistan is in play, too, once the U.S. leaves that country. The crescent swings south to Yemen, as well, where the Iranian-backed Houthis march through the streets shouting death to America, death to Israel, and curses upon the Jews. Armed with a nuclear weapon, the Iranians may plunge the region into an arms race — or, worse, a genocidal attack on the Jewish State."

Updates on Deadlines:  1:25pm Political Framework Agreement between Iran and P5+1 March 24th
March 24th  New sanctions bill by Dem. Menendez and Rep. Kirk: who support the Iran Nuclear Weapon Free Act of 2015 said would not vote for sanctions UNTIL the deadline for the political framework agreement  between Iran and P5+1 powers on March 24th.  Also signed on 10 Democratic US Senators Schumer, Blumenthal, Peters, Casey, Cardin, Coons, Manchin, Donnelly, Stebenow.   Obama has vowed to veto any new Iran sanctions bill.
Deadline for final nuclear deal:  June 30th

Update from Itamar Marcus: 4:10pm  In Friday's sermon on official Palestinian Authority TV, the cleric demonized Jews as "apes and pigs." 

"Many Muslims are being harmed these days by a group whose hearts were sealed by Allah. 'He made of them [Jews] apes and pigs and slaves of deities' (Quran, 5:60). They are harming the livelihood of the believers [Muslims]... They withhold their [the Palestinians'] money and collect interest on it."

Such verbal slurs were started by Ahmadinejad  and now used by Palestinians.

The Asset That Israel Stands For in This World

The Egyptian-Syrian surprise attack splintered and rushed Israel's army defenses.  Their deception of having practices had worked.  By the Suez Canal, 450 IDF with 50 artillery pieces tried to stop 100,000 Egyptian troops crossing the water under the covering fire of 2,000 artillery pieces.  The enemy also had an umbrella of one of the most insidious SAMs missiles in the world which quickly knocked 50 Israeli planes down.  In just a few days 2 whole Egyptian armies occupied the whole Israeli-held east band of the Suez Canal.
                                                                            

In the north, 1,400 Syrian tanks were going against 160 Israeli tanks.  The Israelis fought bravely against tanks, armored personnel carriers and howitzers and other lethal war machines.

The bloodiest battle was fought on the Golan Heights in the Kuneitra Valley called the Vale of Tears.  Golda Meir herself went to this front to see with her own eyes what was happening to her soldiers.

This was the Yom Kippur War that occurred in 1973, only 6 years after the halting 1967 Six Day War with all the Arabs.  Golda and her staff didn't give up.  She had help from President Nixon, G-d Bless Him, a man I was not in favor of as an American, but who saved the day for Israel.  His help brought about Sadat to Jerusalem and Begin was able to say to the world, "No more war, no more bloodshed."    Then some malcontent Arab had to assassinate this man who had seen the other side of life, and ended something beautiful happening in the Arab world.  Luckily, Egypt has been holding their peace which honors such a great man as Sadat.  From this war, the Arabs realized that they would never beat Israel conventionally.

Along came Operation Defense Edge, a very unconventional war against Israel.  Israel didn't try to destroy Hamas once and for all, but only wanted to cripple them so they would accept the terms of the Egyptian-brokered ceasefire.  After 6 ceasefires, there is still no resolution for peace.  Israeli settlements are still being hit with mortar fire.  Hamas still has the ability to hit urban centers with their missiles.  The terrorists from Gaza and Qatar where they hang out in safety are making impossible demands.  From past experiences, Israel knows they dare not go back to the 67 lines or they will be wiped out.  Nixon is gone, and so was his personal goals for Israel  from the USA.  To him, Israel was a deterrent to the aims of the Soviet Union.  Now we have  a President in the USA who will not fill orders of ammunition already promised to the little state of Israel, even though they helped to create a machine that stops missiles a good % of the time that they are sharing with the USA.

In this latest operation, it has been found but has not made the headlines that damned Israel, that the casualties of the Palestinians were greatly magnified.  More than half of the dead were combatants from Hamas and the other terrorist factions.  Some of the civilian deaths were caused by misfired Hamas missiles, cases of which have been confirmed.    

Just like in 1967 and 1973, Israelis are saddened by civilian deaths.  They realize something others don't, however.  They are on the eve of an escalating war of survival against the terror group of radical Islam, called Hamas, their charter member.  Hamas chooses to fight in urban areas of the population who voted them in and chased Abbas out in 2005.  This is part of Israeli's price to save themselves and the world from the evil threatening to conquer them.  Like Golda had told Sadat, "We can forgive you for killing our sons, but we will never forgive you for making us to kill yours. "  Jews had to kill, something they find repulsive.  

When Golda went to the front to see for herself what was happening, she spoke with her boys.  She asked the men about themselves.  Then she asked them if they had questions for her.  One responded and said, "My father was killed in the war of 48, and we won.  My uncle was killed in the war of 56, and we won.  My brother lost an arm in the 67 war, and we won.  Last week I lost my best friend over there," and he pointed to the Vale of Tears.  and despite the odds at that moment, he bravely said that "we're going to win.  But is all our sacrifice worthwhile, Golda?  what's the use of our sacrifice if we can't win the peace?"

This is something still being thought about, and I fear that the West, who at first supported Israel, has already thrown the towel in and is no longer backing our little state of Israel as one might have backed youthful David against the giant, Goliath.    But, like Golda answered him, the facts remain the same.  Yes, it's worth all the pain.  If Israel goes, so does all of Judaism this time.  We have faced horrible bottlenecks of survival in the past.

At one time we were down to 4 women of who most all Jews trace their lineage from.  We lost 6 million in the Holocaust and have just now reached 6 million Jews living in Israel.  There is a reason why we have been singled out to remain a people and a religion for the past 4,000 years since Abraham, who was born in the 2nd millennium BCE.  Our Torah spells out a set of conditions we are to follow to be a just and honorable people.  If we go, there goes the template for the rest of the world.  So for the past 67 years, Israel has never fought to kill people just because we thought they were unworthy of living, like the Nazis and IS is doing now.  We've had to fight to defend ourselves only against attacks.  

This Yom Kippur War that happened on October 6, 1973, the day of our holiest day of fasting and attending synagogue asking for forgiveness for our sins, had support for the Egyptians and Syrians from Iraq and Jordan and others.  The Soviets airlifted and replaced Arab arms, but Nixon sent Israel help by October 14th.  Then 2 days later, the IDF  crossed the Suez Canal and in a few days more cut off the Egyptian 3rd Army.  The USSR and Kissinger, Sec. of State, got together and worked out terms for cease fire, which were operative by October 25th.  Israel had  lost 2,600 men.  This is something they haven't forgotten and the reason why they will not let it happen again.  Israel needs defensive lines, so Golda wouldn't go back and neither will Netanyahu.  Arab oil seemed to be the asset the Russians wanted.  This asset spoke louder than what Israel stands for.  Even without such an asset, Israel remains the sacrificial lamb, the scapegoat of humanity, for who is willing to stand beside her today?
