Iranian Army in Parade strutting off their stuff The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Look at those shoes! That attack was in response to an Israeli air strike on an Iranian consulate complex in the Syrian capital, Damascus, on 1 April, which killed 13 people, including seven members of Iran's overseas Quds Force. Two of those killed were a senior Quds Force commander and his deputy. Iran said the attack was a violation of its sovereignty. The Quds Force is part of Iran's most powerful armed force, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). The IRGC channels arms and equipment, including high precision missiles, through Syria to Hezbollah. Of course, this started a barrage of attacks from both people responding to their latest attack. The airstrike took place during a period of heightened tension between Israel and Iran, and amidst the Israel–Hamas war and the Israel–Hezbollah conflict.
Reported on Monday, August 5, 2024; "Some anticipate Iran will launch a bigger attack than on Saturday, April 13th, 2023, Shabbat, when some 350 missiles and drones rained down across Israel, resulting in only minor damage. The Alma Research Center in northern Israel estimates a combination of "ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and UAVs from many sites in western Iran" could be launched. U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin has dispatched a fighter squadron to the Middle East, and the head of the Central Command, General Michael Kurilla, is already here in the region. JERUSALEM, Israel – Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared Sunday that Israel stands ready to defend itself against any enemy attack. There is also the possibility that the Israel Defense Forces will go on the offensive." Also reporting about it from JERUSALEM (AP) — Booms and air raid sirens sounded across Israel early Sunday after Iran launched hundreds of drones, ballistic missiles and cruise missiles in an unprecedented revenge mission that pushed the Middle East closer to a regionwide war. A military spokesman said the launches numbered more than 300 but 99% of them were intercepted.Calling the outcome “a very significant strategic success,” Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari said Iran fired 170 drones, more than 30 cruise missiles and more than 120 ballistic missiles. Of those, several ballistic missiles reached Israeli territory, causing minor damage to an air base.
That attack was followed up on Tuesday, October 1,2024, reported CBN from JERUSALEM, Israel –that Iran launched a major ballistic missile barrage at Israel on Tuesday. CBN News witnessed explosions in the sky as Israel attempted to intercept approximately 180+ incoming missiles. On Friday, Israel conducted a precision strike against military targets in Iran. While most of the missiles from that attack against Israel were destroyed before reaching their target, some did impact and cause minimal damage.
On (Thursday, October 17, 2024), Yahya Sinwar, chief terrorist leader, was killed October 16, 2024 by Israel. The escalation comes after the Israel Defense Forces' long-anticipated ground incursion into southern Lebanon began Monday night, September 30th. Israel began its ground assault overnight, aiming to rid southern Lebanon of the Hezbollah terror threat and allow more than 60,000 Israeli residents of northern Israel to return to their homes after nearly a year of daily rocket attacks after (October 7, 2023). Many of the missiles were intercepted with the help of the United States, but some fell in central and southern Israel, the Israeli military said. Israel vowed to retaliate.
Parts of Iranian missiles fell in Jordan, a country between Iran and Israel, Mohammed al-Momani, a government spokesman, told the state-owned Al-Mamlaka TV. Three people had minor injuries, he added. Momani didn’t say if Jordan, a U.S. ally that maintains a peace treaty with Israel, helped to intercept the missiles fired from Iran, but he appeared to suggest it may have. “Jordan’s position is always that it won’t be a place for anyone’s conflict,” he said. “Protecting Jordan and Jordanians is our first responsibility.” In Congress, Republicans urge Israel to strike back hard at Iran.
Israel's awaited for retaliation has carried out a series of overnight air strikes on Iran, hitting what Israel called "military targets." The attack came in the early hours of Saturday and appears to have been restricted to missile manufacturing and launching sites, and what Israel called "other aerial capabilities", without being specific.
IDF Chief Spokesman Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari announced, "Hezbollah turned Lebanese villages next to Israeli villages into military bases already for an attack on Israel. Hezbollah had planned to use those villages as a staging ground for an October 7th invasion into Israeli homes.”
It's Israel's turn, again.
