A major outbreak of violence in the ongoing Israeli–Palestinian conflict commenced on 10 May 2021, though disturbances took place earlier, and continued until a ceasefire came into effect on 21 May. It was marked by protests and police riot control, rocket attacks on Israel by Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ), and Israeli airstrikes in the Gaza Strip

The Palestinian family claims that they purchased the property after they fled from the western Jerusalem neighborhood of Ein Kerem during the 29 November 1949 to 1948 War of Independence ending with signing an armistice in 1949;   but had not yet registered it with the Jordanian authorities prior to the Six Day War in 1967. Such registration was not possible once Israel annexed the city from Jordan after the war in June 1967.

Hamas is the official terrorist group of thousands whose goal is to drive Jews out of Israel so that they can take over.  They were founded in 1987 and held elections by January 2006 by Sheikh Ahmed Yassin (1987-2004).  Leaders are found in Gaza and Judea/Samaria, Syria, Lebanon and even Iran.  They sponsor suicide bombers of which 40% of all from 2000 to 2005 were of Hamas.  They receive their money from Saudi Arabia, the Gulf States, Western Europe, Hezbollah and others.  The USA has it listed as a terrorist organization, but who ever reads?

The crisis was triggered on 6 May, when Palestinians in East Jerusalem began protesting over an anticipated decision of the Supreme Court of Israel on the eviction of six Palestinian families in the neighborhood of Sheikh Jarrah. Under international law, the area, effectively annexed by Israel in 1980, is still considered to be a part of the Palestinian Territories; and since annexation, Israel applies its laws there-real estate laws that haven't changed since they were first initiated by the government-probably the Ottoman government.  I've heard it told to Americans that law is much harder to deal with in Israel than in the USA because of all the regimes who have taken the land, with the Ottoman Empire's imput for the last 400 years.

On 7 May, according to Israel's Channel 12 Palestinians threw stones at Israeli police forces who then stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound where they had come from,  using tear gas, rubber bullets, and stun grenades. The crisis prompted protests around the world as well as official reactions from world leaders...

Between 10-18 May, during the 2021 Israel–Palestine crisis, more than 4,340 rockets were fired toward Sderot, Ashkelon, Ashdod, Jerusalem and other communities from Gaza. Ten Israelis were killed. The Iron Dome intercepted a majority of ones targeted at populated areas. About a third fell inside the Gaza Strip.  The prime minister was:

Naftali Bennett born and raised in Haifa, on March 25, 1972,  the son of immigrants from the United States, Bennett served in the Sayeret Matkal and Maglan special forces units of the Israel Defense Forces, commanding many combat operations, and subsequently became a software entrepreneur, and the Prime Minister of Israel.

In May of 2021, the Prime Minister was  Naftali Bennett.            In 2015, Netanyahu managed to stay in power. Multiple disagreements with his coalition members led to the 2019–2022 Israeli political crisis. In 2021, Naftali Bennett became prime minister. He was succeeded in 2022 by his coalition partner, Yair Lapid.

How did this rocket explosion of 4,340, keeping people in bomb shelters for days on end, affect the Israeli populace?  By electing Benjamin Netanyahu for his 3rd term.

The Hamas armed wing and other Palestinian armed groups launched rockets and fired mortars toward Israeli population centers that resulted in the deaths of 12 civilians in Israel and injuries to dozens of others. Munitions apparently directed toward Israel that misfired and fell short killed and injured an undetermined number of Palestinians in Gaza. Human Rights Watch investigated several of the attacks that killed Israeli citizens, as well as a Palestinian rocket attack that misfired above the city of Jabalya in the Gaza Strip, killing 7 Palestinian civilians and injuring 15.

Rule to wash hands; 1st a religious rule,  is taught to Jewish children before they eat any bread or any food and they discover germs and viruses so hand-washing is doubly important. Jews are familiar with rules.

“Palestinian armed groups during the May fighting flagrantly violated the laws-of-war prohibition on indiscriminate attacks by launching thousands of unguided rockets towards Israeli cities,” said Eric Goldstein, acting Middle East and North Africa director at Human Rights Watch. “The failure of both Hamas authorities and the Israeli government to provide accountability for alleged war crimes by their forces highlights the essential role of the International Criminal Court.”  I beg to differ here.  Israel polices itself all the time in preventing their own soldiers from taking part in any war crime.  Their answer should have been-war crimes by Israel=0.  Israel, whose religion started off with Moses's 613 laws of which has been added to by the IDF.  Israel is a county of laws, magnified by people like lawyers.  They don't run from laws; they love them!!  It stands for security!
