Former American Banker Seeing Only a Two State Solution To Palestinian Problem

 Nadene Goldfoot

Attending the meeting at Reichman University in Israel with Tom Nides on left side.

"US Ambassador to Israel,  Tom Nides, participated on

Sunday in the World Summit on Counter-Terrorism of The

International Institute for Counter-Terrorism (ICT) at

Reichman University  and argued that the leadership in

Jerusalem must support the two-state solution.

He's telling the Jews that they must support the 2-state

solution !!!

“In order to preserve a democratic Jewish state, it is

important to reach a two-state solution. The situation in

Judea and Samaria cannot continue,” Nides said."

I do believe that the Israelis will be able to tell if and when

they would have to arrive at this as a solution!  More than that

they know why they can't at this time.!!

Abbas doesn't even realize it, but Israel's NEVER AGAIN is in

being duped with a situation like Gaza has turned out to be.

To have left it for the Palestinians, lock, stock and barrel, and

then see that this only gives them a closer place to attack

Israel from is very discerning.  No, they know better than to

repeat a mistake again.

Abbas and the rest of the world would help the Palestinians a

lot more if they gave advise to the Arabs to become peaceful;

as requirements for a new state should be.

Israel had to invent this rocket stopper---their Iron Dome.

Streaks of light are seen as Israel's Iron Dome system

intercepts rockets launched from Gaza

Israel feels that this is not a possibility at this time.  The

Palestinians have been using Gaza as a shooting site, shooting

rockets, missiles, mortars from there since they have been

there, when Israel moved out completely and gave it to them.

The Arab states decided at the 1967 conference in Kartoum,

Africa their 3 Nos to Israel "Three Nos": "no peace with Israel,

no recognition of Israel, no negotiations with it....", and until

those are rescinded, Israel can not trust  that this would not

happen again with a declared state alongside them.

What's Tom Nide's background?  Why is he so adamant about

a 2 state solution?  "Thomas Richard Nides (born 1961) is

an American banker and government official who is

the United States Ambassador to Israel since December

2021. Nides describes himself as a "liberal, reform Jew.

From 2013 to 2021, he was the managing director and vice-

chairman of Morgan Stanley, serving as a member of the

firm's management and operating committee.  He's a very new

ambassador who to me remains thinking as a banker.

Nides was previously appointed the United States Deputy

Secretary of State for Management and Resources from 2011

to 2013 during the Barack Obama administration. He has

served in various financial and governmental roles throughout

his life.  He has worked with Mondale, Clinton and other

Democrats.

I don't see much of a Middle East history buff here at all, let

alone any education in Middle East history.  That would help

a lot to understand the workings of two Middle East parties,

the Palestinians and his own ancestry.

"Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on Friday said there was a narrowing window for the two-state solution to resolving the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

"The opportunity for a two-state solution on the 1967 borders may be available today and it may not remain for a long time," Abbas said after meeting with US President Joe Biden in the occupied West Bank.

The veteran leader said Palestinians "look forward" to US efforts to "stop settlements and settler violence" and an end to the "expulsion of Palestinians from their land"."

The violence comes from endless attacks on the Jews by Palestinians since 1967, murders that are gross.  Jews have not forced Palestinians to leave the country.  Those who have left are like other Muslims around the world, heading for Europe and even the USA to find a better quality of life.  Muslims that are  20% of citizens of Israel, earned that citizenship by not following the guidance of their leadership who said to leave the country while they---the Arab army attacked in 1948, and promised them that they could live in the Jewish homes after they won the battle.  Well, they didn't win and then these same Arabs were told to stay in the camps by their leaders.  They've been there ever since, or they have left of their own accord, but haven't experienced expulsion.

Israel has been attacked from 1947-1949 in their War of Independence, then in 56, and the 1967 Six Day War was done by all the Arab Nations against Israel and still Israel won.  But that attacks have been coming ever since once way or the other; from Gaza with rockets mortars and missiles, economically with BDS, tunnel-digging with attackers kidnapping people.  They show that they are not a friendly people!

The miracle has started to happen with the Abraham Accords and we have 2 Arab nations joining Egypt and Jordan, also being good neighbors and friendly now, to show that peace can be acceptable with Israel.  But it's going to never happen for the so=called Palestinians to ever have their first experience of having their OWN country.  (I say so-called because the Jews were also Palestinians before Israel was created.)  And Palestine itself was never a country of a people.  It was a Roman name for land; land that had once been Israel.
