Why The Two-State-Solution Is As Dead As Last Week's Caught Fish-Not Fit to Eat

I just spent the past hour listening to Doron Spielman on JNS talking about why a two state solution is being pushed by a few people in the Israeli government and why this is a terrible idea. I happen to agree with him whole-heartedly. He understands Saudi Arabia's thinking like a psychologist might. His "lecture" thank goodness, is on youtube. He is a well-known man in Israel on his own accords.

Doron Spielman is a Major in the Israel Defense Forces Reserves, serving as an international military spokesman. He has conducted hundreds of interviews with major global news networks, including CNN, FOX News, NBC, ABC, BBC, and Sky News (of which I am suspicious of-oy vey) though today was on JNS-Jewish News Syndicate , most recently during the Swords of Iron War. For over two decades, Doron has played a pivotal role in transforming the City of David from an overlooked hilltop into one of the most significant archaeological and historical sites in the world. As Vice President of the City of David Foundation, he worked to uncover and preserve groundbreaking discoveries that illuminate the deep historical connection between the Jewish people and Jerusalem.

This 2-state solution good for all was initiated by a program called "Abraham Shield Plan", quite different from the Abraham Accords. Initiated by Saudi Arabia itself, it seems but coming through an Israeli, General Udi Deckel and a few others, probably of the Left, it would leave us in a pickle jar of not even kosher dills!

Ehud "Udi" Dekel (Hebrew: אהוד "אודי" דקל; born c. 1957) age 68 now, is a former Israeli army brigadier general. He was head of the Planning Directorate of the Israel Defense Forces and is now deputy director of the Institute for National Security Studies. Dekel's military career began in the Israeli Air Force. He headed the Air Intelligence Group in the mid 1990s and then was chief of the External Relations Division of the IDF.He served as the IAF's representative in peace negotiations with Ehud Olmert, a centrist or on the right,  appointed Dekel to lead the Israeli negotiating team in the peace talks that followed the Annapolis Conference in early 2008. He helped formulate Israeli positions in negotiations.

The plan put Israel responsible for all the work, and the whole Middle East just is to sit by and watch, it sounds like. From their website: "Now, the historic mission of the State of Israel is to translate its tremendous military achievements into a political turning point. One that will break the Iranian stranglehold, leverage the current regional opportunity, and create a new regional order in the Middle East".

• The State of Israel will declare victory in Gaza and the defeat of Hamas' military force.
• Israel will promote a comprehensive ceasefire and commit to the withdrawal of IDF forces from Gaza in exchange for the return of all hostages, living and dead.
• Israel will reach a bilateral understanding with the U.S. on freedom of action for security operations and targeted raids in the future to prevent Hamas's resurgence and to dismantle terrorist infrastructures.
• Israel will work with its regional and international partners to establish a technocratic transitional government in Gaza, with regional backing that will provide all civilian services to the Palestinians during the transition period.
• Arab police forces will operate in Gaza to establish law and order during the transition period. (oh sure)  
• The reconstruction package for Gaza will be led and financed by the West and the moderate Arab states, led by the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.
• The moderate Arab states will lead a process of ‘de-Hamasification’ in Gaza - a deep de-radicalization of society and education (as they successfully implemented in the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia).
• Cash in the Gaza Strip will be abolished (“ZeroCash”) and an advanced mechanism of monetary supervision will be implemented.

Spielman said that Israel cannot do what Saudis suggested; to claim victory over Gaza. That would be a lie, yet in their Abraham Shield Plan, that was step #1. I believe that Netanyhu and Trump expect that Victory over Gaza is a Must. Otherwise, they would have gained nothing but looking forward to more of the same conditions in a few weeks to a few years. Saudi Arabia must stop wanting nuclear energy, too. We know where that leads.

Spielman has taken apart Abbas's of the PA's doctoral thesis and saw that it was he who initiated getting rid of the 6 million Jews before Hitler thought of it, evidently. Abbas has had plenty of statements showing his own hatred of Jews. I thought that was terrific research! "Mahmoud Abbas's 1982 doctoral dissertation, titled "The Secret Connection between Nazism and Zionism, 1933-1945", has drawn significant controversy due to its anti-Semitic content and Holocaust denial. " He's been the PA Palestine Authority leader all this time, but Hamas does the dirty-work. They both have vied for control, like the Democrats vs Republicans.

Judea and Samaria and a Shunda Of a USA Hostage Deal

         This is a monumental announcement !  

All Likud government ministers called on Prime Minister Netanyahu yesterday to apply sovereignty over Judea and Samaria. The letter said, “Following the State of Israel’s historic achievements in the face of Iran’s axis of evil and its sympathizers, the task must be completed and the existential threat from within must be eliminated, to prevent another massacre in the heart of the country.”

The current U.S. ceasefire proposal for Gaza reportedly includes 

1. The release of 10 out of the remaining 20 living hostages,  2. The bodies of 18 dead hostages

3.  During a 60 day ceasefire. (2 months)

                   Possibly like this:  

 In 5 phases over 12 days in each phase hoping to free 2 live hostages at a time, and then hope the other 10 will be alive after the 2 month period for another release (?) 

  The 18 dead hostages might be released also at the same  time during the 5 phases;

   3 at a time in 5 phases, then 3 after the 2 month period.  

No statement as to how they will be released so far.  

A new American clarification, shared with both sides, states that if no final agreement to end the war is reached within 60 days, the ceasefire will still continue as long as negotiations remain serious and ongoing.  One shot by Israel's enemy has already occurred.  

 This is meant to function as a de facto guarantee that Israel will not resume fighting unilaterally.  Pressure on Israel only

 The proposal also includes:  

 increased humanitarian aid, 

phased Israeli withdrawals from parts of Gaza, 

and the release of terrorists from Israeli prisons. Many are in prisons;  captured, not shot dead...

 According to the Saudi newspaper Asharq Al-Awsat , sources close to the group said it was “satisfied” with the revised U.S. assurances and is expected to deliver its formal response before Friday evening.

 Qatari officials reportedly told Hamas leaders involved in the negotiations to lay down their personal weapons and those of their bodyguards.

Several Fatah-supporting militias are now operating in

 Gaza, in coordination with the IDF, which is also arming them.

 For more.  Fatah is the PA (Palestinian Authority).  Hamas

 over-ran Fatah and had taken over.  The head of the Fatah

 political party is Mahmoud Abbas. He is also the current

 president of the Palestinian Authority and the chairman of the

 Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) according to

 Wikipedia. While Yasser Arafat was a prominent leader of

 Fatah and the PLO, he passed away in 2004. 

Tomorrow, July 4th, 2025, will be 636 days since the hostages

 were taken during the October 7th attacks. A total of 251

 people were taken hostage in the attack on Israel on October

 7, 2023. As of June 26, 2025, 22 hostages were reported to

 still remain captive in Gaza. This number includes those

 believed to be alive and those confirmed to have died, with

 their bodies still being held.  

If this is the best the USA could come up with that satisfied our 

Middle Eastern neighbors, I'd  like to see what didn't 

muster through.  This is deplorable for our live hostages, living

minute by minute under the worst conditions after almost 

2 years.

Abdullah II and Abbas Fighting Against Israel's Enemies

Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein Al-Hashemi (Arabic: عبد الله الثاني بن الحسين الهاشمي) is King of Jordan, having ascended the throne on 7 February 1999. He is a member of the Hashemites, who have been the reigning royal family of Jordan since 1921, and is considered a direct descendant of the Islamic prophet Muhammad.  Jordan and Israel are border neighbors, and have kept the peace between each other since  26 October 1994, the past 31 years, when Jordan and Israel signed a peace treaty, normalizing relations between them and resolving territorial disputes, including water sharing. The treaty adjusted land and water disputes, and provided for broad cooperation in tourism and trade.

The two countries had not fought a war since 1967, and their leaders had been in routine communication since the 1940s. Yet the treaty was far more than just a formalization of a de facto ceasefire -- it fundamentally changed the nature of the Israeli-Jordanian relationship, enhancing security, stability, and U.S. interests in a turbulent region.

Jordan has outlawed the Muslim Brotherhood, the country's most vocal opposition group, and confiscated its assets after members of the group were found to be linked to a sabotage plot.

What is the Muslim Brotherhood that Egypt disliked?  The movement's self-stated aim is the establishment of a state ruled by sharia law under a caliphate–its most famous slogan is "Islam is the solution". They provided a lot of charity in order to be recognized and desirable.  The group spread to other Muslim countries but still has one of its largest organizations in Egypt, despite a succession of government crackdowns since 1948. It remained a fringe group in the politics of the Arab World until the 1967 Six-Day War, when Islamism managed to replace popular secular Arab nationalism after a resounding Arab defeat by Israel.                                       

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas called on "sons of dogs" Hamas to "hand over the hostages" in a televised speech at the PA's Central Council on Wednesday.  Abbas added that the "war must end," citing that hundreds are dying every day because "[Hamas] doesn't want to hand over the American hostages. Sons of dogs - hand over the hostages and end the matter."  Mahmoud Abbas   born 15 November 1935), also known by the kunya Abu Mazen , is a Palestinian politician who has been serving as the second president of the State of Palestine and the Palestinian National Authority (PNA) since 2005; President of his followers for the past 20 years.  Gaza is still in the hands of Hamas terrorists which the people themselves had voted for.  In March 2007, a unity government was formed incorporating members of both Hamas and Fatah, with Ismail Haniyeh as prime minister and independent politicians taking many key portfolios, but it didn't hold since they couldn't decide

 who the leader was to be. 

Abbas with Joe Biden-US President, at the Palestinian Presidential Palace, in Bethlehem, July 2022.  Bethlehem has become a Muslim stronghold.  Bethlehem, a city in the West Bank, is a Palestinian city inhabited by both Arab Christians and Arab Muslims. While historically from the New Testament days,  a Christian city, the Arab Christian population has significantly decreased, now making up a minority of the city's population. The city is also home to a mosque and a church, reflecting the presence of both Muslims and Christians. While it was historically a city of Arab Christians, this community has decreased from about 86% in 1950 to around 10% in 2022. 

There is hope that Gaza can be a peaceful land with intelligence such as these two 

men show us.  Not everyone is bloodthirsty like Hamas has been shown to be.  Thank 

you, G-d, for helping us reach this point in time and hope it continues to improve.  Peace

and hostages returned would be nice.

How Fatah and Hamas-Led Palestinians Will Never Co-Exist, Remain Burdens on UNRWA

A picture of Ein El-Hilweh refugee camp in Lebanon shows the overcrowding in the camp and the difficulty of achieving social distancing [Reporters for Investigative Journalism (ARIJ)]  As of 5 October, according to the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) the total number of Covid-19 cases among Palestinian refugees in Lebanon was 1,282 with 478 active cases and 31 deaths. Based on these numbers, the General Director of the Rafic Hariri Government Hospital, Dr Firas Al-Abiad, tweeted that the Covid-19 mortality rate among Palestinians in Lebanon is 2.4 per cent, "more than double Lebanon's 1 per cent rate."

At the very least, it is estimated that 36,000 Palestinian refugees will need intensive care out of a total population of 224,901, which includes camp residents and Palestinian refugees from Syria, a statistic taken from the Committee's document. Given that the mortality risk is higher for those aged 70 and over, around 10,825 Palestinians are already vulnerable.

"The UN agency that supports Palestinian refugees, UNRWA, on Tuesday appealed for $1.6 billion to support its lifesaving work this year amid acute regional crises and chronic funding shortfalls. "  "UNRWA provides services and programmes, including education, health and food assistance, to more than five million Palestinians across the Middle East."

Mahmoud Abbas (Arabic: مَحْمُود عَبَّاس,  born 15 November 1935),  is the president of the State of Palestine and the Palestinian National Authority. He has been the chairman of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) since 11 November 2004, PNA president since 15 January 2005, and State of Palestine president since 8 May 2005-now for the past 17 years.  Abbas is also a member of the Fatah party and was elected chairman in 2009.

  Ismail Abdel Salam Ahmed Haniyeh (born 29 January 1962) is a senior political leader of Hamas and formerly one of two disputed Prime Ministers of the Palestinian National Authority. Haniyeh became prime minister after Hamas won the Palestinian legislative elections of 2006- now for the past 16 years.Hamas was originally the strong-arm of Fatah, and got so powerful that they broke away to rule themselves.   He's become an Iranian puppet. The 2022 budget proposal includes additional emergency funding to address humanitarian needs arising from crises in:

 1. Gaza-ruled by Ismail Haniyeh, 

 2. West Bank (Judea-Samaria)-ruled by Mahmoud Abbas 

These two men have never agreed with each other and fight for single power.  They haven't changed yet.  

3. Syria--by President Bashar al-Assad-Bashar Hafez al-Assad who is a Syrian politician and the 19th president of Syria, since 17 July 2000- for the past 22 years. In addition, he is the commander-in-chief of the Syrian Armed Forces and the Secretary-General of the Central Command of the Arab Socialist Ba'ath Party.

COAR(an international association that acts as a global voice for the repository community.---COAR is an international association with 157 members and partners from around the world representing libraries, universities, research institutions, government funders and others.)  says that Syria is already a failed state.  "On 17 June, the U.S. Department of the Treasury officially enacted the sanctions contained in the Caesar Syria Civilian Protection Act, thus beginning an inauspicious new phase of the long Syria conflict. The sanctions targeted 39 Syrian individuals, including President Bashar Al-Assad and his wife, Asma, in addition to members of the extended Al-Assad family, senior military leaders, and business executives. Many of the sanctioned individuals were already designated under existing U.S. sanctions."

Lebanon--by President Michel Aoun. Michel Naim Aoun is a Lebanese politician and former military general who has served as the President of Lebanon since 31 October 2016-for the past 6 years, the new kid on the block. Lebanon and Israel through the USA just came to an agreement about a gas discovery in the sea.               

 Shu'fat camp is located on the outskirts of Jerusalem. The Israeli settlement of Pisgat Zeev, illegal under international law, is located to the camp’s north. The camp was established by UNRWA in 1965 in order to provide improved housing for the roughly 500 refugee families living in Mu'askar camp in the Old City of Jerusalem.  This refugee camp is 57 years old, and looks like a town or city to me; but its people are mostly surviving on UNRWA.  Shu'fat camp was annexed by Israel after the 1967 hostilities ( considered illegal by UNRWA and rest of world) even though Israel won the 1967 war -a huge attack against them by all the Arab countries)  when Israel unilaterally established new municipal boundaries for Jerusalem. Camp residents still hold Jerusalem IDs and, unlike West Bank ID holders, are allowed to reside in Jerusalem. 

Because the Israeli Ministry of the Interior has a policy of revoking Jerusalem IDs from Palestinians who do not have their ‘centre of life’ in Jerusalem, the camp has become a popular place of residence for Palestinians (non-refugees) with Jerusalem IDs who might not otherwise be able to afford the high living costs of Jerusalem.

The Palestinians of Gaza, Judea-Samaria and Israel have been without a country ever since they entered Palestine in the 1880's to work for the Jewish returnees to their homeland and were in the act of building up their home.  The Palestinian Arabs were looking for jobs in building.  At the time, anyone living in Palestine (named by Romans in 135 CE) were called Palestinians.                        

Many of these Arab Palestinians came from Syria, Iraq, Lebanon and many from farther places than that, all documented and verified in the book, FROM TIME IMMEMORIAL, by Joan Peters. 

War of Independence 1947-1949

Since the Arab attack on Jews at the announcement of the State of Israel on May 14, 1948, all the Arabs attacked the Jewish Israelis, telling the Arab Palestinians what to do--to leave, and let them win the battle.  Well, they were wrong.  The Jews won, keeping their new state, and the Palestinian Arabs were led to live in refugee camps---now seemingly forever.  

Since 1948, they have been fed and clothed by UNRWA- 74 years, the same age as Israel.   What skills have they learned to support themselves?  Make bombs, dig tunnels, What mindset have they given to their families?  Sacrifice their children in the name of a future nationalism of their Palestine; hatred for Jews. That's what living in a refugee camp has done for most all of their people.  

The number of Palestinian workers in Israel and Israeli settlements was an estimated 130,000 in 2019, according to the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD)—but is likely to be higher due to the number who cross into Israel without permits.[1] Most Palestinians work in Israel’s construction sector, where it is estimated that they make up 65-70 percent of the workforce.

The Israeli minister for construction and housing was quoted in the Israeli media explaining that the construction sector must continue as normal “to ensure that construction in Israel for the benefit of home buyers will not be affected, even in the current exceptional circumstances.”  So in Israel, Palestinians are keeping the skills their ancestors came with, and using them. Still, Palestinian murderers keep on attacking Israelis at any given moment; the IDF being their most favored target.  Are they among these with employment?  Or are they coming in from other sources?              

Soda Stream had jobs for Palestinians in Judea-Samaria.  The company left the West Bank-(Judea-Samaria) because the CO said the boycott (BDS)  against them was anti-Semitic and pointless.They even had Golden Globe nominee Scarlett Johansson as the official global ambassador for SodaStream International, the Israeli-made manufacturer and distributor of home beverage carbonation systems.

It's time, way past time for the Palestinian Arab refugees to be freed from just being on the dole of UNRA, treated as a child, and allowed to learn to be honest bread-winners and be able to support their own families by the sweat of their own brows. Such skills must be something that will help their population they live in, not killing or harming others.  They need to learn that Jews are their cousins and not their enemy.  They have so much to learn other than what they have picked up in UNRWA camps which have become political prisons spreading hate.

Israel took in the very same numbers of Jewish refugees that came streaming out of Arab countries in 1948, the birth of their re-born nation.  They managed.  It's time Lebanon and Syria and the other took back their own people by making them citizens and not of refugee status anymore.   In being realistic, I realize that this is a bad time;  these countries are barely able to hang on as a country themselves and are about to fold.  

"In 2014, the United Nations General Assembly recommended that 2014 a year of solidarity with the Palestinian people and called on people around the world to recognize their “inalienable rights”.

Perhaps 2016 should become the Jewish year of solidarity with the Jewish refugees from Arab countries and there should be greater recognition, understanding and education of the inalienable rights of these people to rights and redress" but Israel took them all in, ready for them or not.  

There are Palestinians in Israel who are citizens.  In other Arab countries, they are refugees on the dole with UNRWA, a source of finance and control.
