Israel'a War Goals

 Nadene Goldfoot

                                                 Qiam Missile

On Tuesday, March 31, 2026 Israel continues to strike Iranian military production and defense industry targets. Israel has set crippling Iran’s defense industry, not only its missile launch capability but also the factories, infrastructure and command networks that sustain it, as one of its central war aims.

The IDF said that all critical and essential pre-war Iran targets will have been destroyed by Wednesday, April 1st, first night of Passover.

Iran continues to fire around 10 missiles a day at Israel. They are the Qiam missiles.  The Qiam 1 (Uprising-1") is a short-range ballistic missile designed and built by Iran. It was developed from the Iranian Shahab-2, a licensed copy of the North Korean Hwasong-6, all of which are versions of the Soviet Scud-C missile. The Qiam 1 entered service in 2010, with a range of 800 km (500 mi) and 100 m (330 ft) (CEP) accuracy.

Houthi forces in Yemen have unveiled two Scud-based mobile short-range ballistic missiles: the Burkan 1 and Burkan 2-H. On 4 November 2017, Saudi Arabia claimed to have intercepted a Burkan 2-H over its capital, Riyadh, with a MIM-104 Patriot. It reportedly was aimed at King Khalid International Airport. According to the US State Department, the missile was actually a Qiam.

There have also been reports of previous attempts by Iran to send missiles to Yemen.

From  Ido Efradi of Reuters:

Five Israelis lightly wounded in earlier missile barrage from Iran, Houthis and Hezbollah

A total of five Israelis were lightly wounded in separate impact sites, after Iran, Hezbollah and the Houthis in Yemen launched missiles around the same time earlier Thursday. Three people were wounded in two Iranian missile impacts in central Israel. Two men were wounded, probably by missile shrapnel, following a Hezbollah (Lebanon) missile barrage, in northern Israel.

ATTN: Israel's Answer To Trump's Meeting With Ayatollah Regime Over Nuclear Missiles and Such: WOW!!!

Nadene Goldfoot

He was the international spokesperson of the Israel Defense Forces from 2017 to 2021 and again in 2023. Conricus is a senior fellow at the think tank Foundation for Defense of Democracies, based in Washington, DC, in the United States. He was an officer in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), in which he served for 24 years before returning to duty as a reservist in 2023.
                 Israeli Air Force

At 12:51 pm after lunch today, I heard CBN in Israel make an announcement from Lt. Col Jonathan Conricus, my favorite speaker for Israel, announce that Israel just pulled off the hardest assignment of all;  NO NO NO, to their answer of dismantling their nuclear program, and Israel went ahead and Hit Iran's Nuclear Sites again as well as a lot of other places as well. Trump was told of the plans before.  Israel was hitting with American ammunition exactly as they should be used.  This can turn into war if their ego gets in the way, or let it go and accepts their position today.

Their goal was successful which also had a two-fold purpose;  to help the young Revolutionaries as much as they could.  In fact, much of what they accomplished was aided by some of them.  Both will benefit the disappearance of the Ayatollah's government.  The police force is joining the young Revolutionaries.

The Houthis in Yemen shot a missile at Israel who shot it down.  Hopefully, that was their last one.

CBN was in awe of Israel's Air Force and Mossad working together to pull this off.  They feel it will be studied by many in the future.

In an interview to news agency Reuters, President Trump said he had initially tried to delay an Israeli strike, giving Iran ample time for diplomacy and dialogue, but added that he had given a 60-day ultimatum to Tehran, "And today was the 61st day," he said.  Before it started, Benjamin Netanyahu was at at  the wall putting a slip of paper between the stones, as is the custom.  He also ended his stay with a prayer.  Based on reports from June 2025, former President Donald Trump stated he gave Iran a 60-day ultimatum to reach a nuclear deal, and Israel launched strikes on Iran on the 61st day, which was June 13, 2025.The Ultimatum: Trump claimed he gave Iran a 60-day deadline to "make a deal" regarding their nuclear program following negotiations that began in mid-April 2025.

Finally at 6:41pm I find:  As of February 11, 2026, reports indicate intensified military tensions, with Israel and the U.S. having launched precision airstrikes against Iranian targets following increased threats to Israel's security, specifically related to Iran's missile programs. This follows a previous, significant 12-day conflict in June 2025 where nuclear sites were targeted.Israel.  Iran has made the threat now that this is war.  )

Hamas Terrorists' Missile and Rockets from Gaza

A shoulder-launched surface to air missile was fired at an IDF helicopter over Gaza today, missing it. Also today, Two rockets were launched at Sderot. One of them exploded near Kibbutz Nir Am and the other fell in an open area. Sderot residents reported shrapnel on a local streets, but no damage or injuries. Over the past day, the air force struck 40 Hamas gathering points and command centers throughout Gaza, preventing terrorists from launching attacks against soldiers and civilians. Meanwhile, Israel is sending a delegation to Doha, Qatar today to continue negotiations on a hostage deal with Hamas.

Hezbollah Terrorists' Rocket Launchers in Lebanon

Nabatieh rocket launchers destroyed in this area in Lebanon

Israeli Air Force fighter jets destroyed Hezbollah medium-range rocket launchers in Lebanese territory last night. An IDF spokesman said in a statement: "The Israeli Air Force, with the direction of the Intelligence Directorate, struck Hezbollah medium-range rocket launchers at a military site belonging to the terrorist organization. Hezbollah rocket launchers adjacent to an additional military site in the area of Nabatieh were also struck. As part of the enforcement of the understandings between Israel and Lebanon, prior to the strike a request was sent to the Lebanese Armed Forces to neutralize the launchers that posed a threat to Israeli civilians and IDF troops. The launchers were struck only after the request was not addressed by the Lebanese Armed Forces. The IDF continues to act to remove any threat to the State of Israel in accordance with the ceasefire understandings."

Hostages Since 2023 and Tomorrow is 2025, Held By Hamas and What All Is Involved

 Nadene Goldfoot

Eden Alexander, A happy-go-lucky guy, a champion swimmer for his high school team, and a big fan of the New York Knicks, Edan spent most of his young life in Tenafly. But he was born in Israel just a few months before his parents moved to the U.S. He spoke Hebrew at home and visited Israel often to see both sets of grandparents. He even celebrated his bar mitzvah there.  He's one of the 7 American hostages.

Hamas is reportedly willing to release only 22 of the 34 hostages on the list submitted by Israel during the phase of a potential deal. Instead of the other 12 hostages, Hamas wants to release 12 bodies.  It was on October 7, 2023 that Israel was attacked by Hamas, an arm of Iran doing their dirty work.  Now, today is New Year's Eve, shortly to become January 1, 2025.

Iran's population was 89.17 million in 2023.  As of December 27, 2024, Iran's population is 91,982,642, almost 92 million.

Yemen's population was 34.45 million in 2023.

Israel turned this down and made it clear that it would only accept living hostages during the initial stage of a deal.

Coincidently, the census of population count occurred at this time.  Israel's population grew by 1.1% over the past year to just over 10.027 million, according to the Central Bureau of Statistics. The rate of population growth fell from 1.6% in 2023 to 1.1%. 7.707 million (76.9%) of Israel's citizens are Jewish and 2.1 million (21%) Arabs.

At the same time, we keep hearing of the IDF losing a few soldiers in the battle every day, and we can't afford to do this.  Sergeant Uriel Peretz, 23, from Beitar Illit, a soldier in the Netzah Yehuda Battalion in the Kfir Brigade, fell in battle in the northern Gaza Strip. Peretz was killed by an anti-tank missile fired by Hamas terrorists at a building in Beit Hanoun where the force was stationed. Seven other soldiers were wounded in the attack.

Every day, Israelis are facing missile attacks from Yemen.  A missile fired by the Houthis from Yemen last night was intercepted before entering Israeli airspace. Sirens sounded throughout central Israel, sending millions to shelters. U.S. and British forces reportedly struck Houthi targets in Yemen.

Authorities have named 825 soldiers, 68 police officers, killed in this Gaza war.  Six colonels among the dead, the most senior officers killed in combat in recent memory; 393 IDF troops killed in Gaza ground offensive.

"The IDF announced that 891 soldiers have been killed since the Hamas attack on October 7, 2023, including that day. The number includes 65 soldiers killed in operational accidents and several dozen in traffic accidents and by suicide." This was news on January 2, 2025.

The conflict between Israel and the Iran-backed Houthi movement in Yemen has intensified, marked by missile and drone attacks on Israel and retaliatory airstrikes on Houthi-controlled infrastructure. The Houthis have launched hundreds of ballistic missiles and drones at Israel in recent months, with notable incidents including a December 18 missile strike that destroyed a school in Ramat Gan and a deadly July 19 drone attack on an apartment building in Tel Aviv. These attacks, often involving Iranian-made weapons, highlight Tehran's role in supporting the Houthis’ operations.

In response, Israel and the U.S. have conducted multiple airstrikes targeting Houthi assets. On December 21, U.S. forces struck a rocket storage facility and command sites following a missile attack on Tel Aviv, while the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have repeatedly targeted ports, power stations, and oil reserves to cripple the Houthis’ military capabilities. On December 26, the IDF launched another major airstrike, hitting Sana’a International Airport, key power stations, and western ports like Al-Hudaydah, aiming to disrupt the Houthis' ability to wage attacks and further destabilize the region.

Israel Retaliation Of Missile Attacks From Yemen

 Nadene Goldfoot

Israel launched its largest airstrike against Yemen yesterday, December 26th, 2024. The operation involved 25 aircraft, including fighter jets, reconnaissance planes and tankers. Targets included Sana'a International Airport, where a control tower, terminals, runways and aircraft used by the Houthi government were hit, as well as 2 power stations in the area. Israel is attempting to stop the Houthis from shooting their ballistic missiles and drones at Israel.  The attacks have increased this month.  The Houthis are using their support for Palestine as the cause of the attacks on Israel.

The assault killed at least four people and injured 21 others, the state news agency in Yemen reported. The strikes came after a week of attacks by the Iran-backed militia.

An Iranian ballistic missile, long-range, the Kheibar -Shekan, The name of the long-range point-precise missile, Kheibar-Shekan,

Today, December 27, 2024,  was  the 5th day out  of the past 8 days that Israel was attacked by a ballistic missile the Houthis named Palestine 2.  The Ben Gurion Airport was the target.  They also targeted a ship in the Red Sea with a drone attack.
     Iran's Shahab 3 missile

It was early today, when the Houthis launched a ballistic missile at central Israel, which was intercepted before entering Israeli territory. The launch disrupted air traffic for several hours and sent millions of Israelis to shelters.

Long-range ballistic missiles have been shot at Israel by Houthis on December 1, 15, 19, 21, 24, 25, and 27.  That's 7 ballistic missiles.  Houthis have shot 200 missiles and 170 drones at Israel since  October 7, 2023;

Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned that its response to more than a year of missile and drone attacks by the Iran-backed group was "just getting started".

Israel is retaliating and has good reason.  The largest ballistic missile attack in history took place on 1 October 2024 when the Iranian Revolutionary Guard launched about 200 missiles at Israel, a distance of about 1,500 kilometers. The missiles arrived about 15 minutes after launch. It is believed that Iran's Fattah-1 and Kheybar Shekan missiles were used, which both have a range of about 1,400 km.  It is Iran's first hypersonic ballistic missile. According to Iran, its high maneuverability and speed helps it to evade missile defense systems. In November 2023, Iran unveiled a newer version of the missile, Fattah-2.

The Ballistic Missile War Of Israel and USA's Expenses In Life and Money

 Nadene Goldfoot

December

On 16 December, the US carried out an airstrike on a command and control facility in Sanaa, the capital of Yemen, held by the Houthis,  that was used in attacks against US naval vessels and merchant ships in the southern Red Sea and Gulf of Aden.

On 21 December, CENTCOM announced that it carried out precision strikes on a missile storage facility and a command-and-control site in SanaaAlHadath reported that fuel depots, power stations, and military targets were hit. The strikes were initially blamed on Israel.

Type, class: Guided Missile Cruiser (CG); Ticonderoga class
Builder: Bath Iron Works, Bath, Maine, USA
USS Harry S. Truman aircraft carrier

On 22 December, CENTCOM said a F/A-18 Hornet that had taken off from the aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman was shot down by friendly fire coming from the guided missile cruiser USS Gettysburg over the Red Sea. Its two occupants were rescued.

Stoyan Nenov/Reuters

Yemen hit Tel Aviv with a missile .

A missile fired from Yemen hit Tel Aviv overnight into Saturday, Israeli

authorities said, in a rare instance of a failed interception over the city.

Its Terminal High-Altitude Area Defense (Thaad) battery will sit alongside Israel's existing systems - Iron Dome, David's Sling, Arrow 2 and Arrow 3.  The defences are designed to intercept incoming missiles at a variety of altitudes and distances.

Israel’s military said the projectile landed in Tel Aviv’s southern Jaffa

area, adding that attempts to intercept a (ballistic) missile from

Yemen failed shortly after sirens sounded in the area.  16 people

sustained minor injuries, according to emergency services, but no

fatalities were reported. This was reported on December 21.

Israel’s second-largest city, Tel Aviv is the country’s commercial and

diplomatic center. Direct hits from projectiles fired at the coastal city

are rare, due to Israel’s extensive air defenses.

Ballistic missiles are powered initially by a rocket or series of rockets

in stages, but then follow an unpowered trajectory that arches

upwards before descending to reach its intended target.

Ballistic missiles can carry either nuclear or

conventional warheads.

There  are four general classifications of ballistic missiles based on

their  range, or the maximum distance the missile can travel: 

Short-range: less than 1,000 kilometers (approximately 620 miles)

also known as “tactical” ballistic missiles.

 *** Medium-range: between 1,000 and 3,000 kilometers (approximate

ly 620-1,860 miles), also known as “theater” ballistic missiles. Yemen

is 2,303 km. or 1,431.018 miles away from Tel Aviv.

 Intermediate-range: between 3,000 and 5,500 kilometers

(approximately 1,860-3,410 miles)

 Long-range: more than 5,500 kilometers

(approximately 3,410 miles), also known as intercontinental or

strategic ballistic missiles. Intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs)

can fly much further than the minimum range; for example,

Russia could hit Chicago with an ICBM   launched

which is located 9,156 kilometers (5,689miles) away.

Iran could hit Israel with a medium ranged missile  launched

which is 1,724.48 kms (1,071.54 miles) away.

The cost of a missile can vary significantly depending on the type

and model, but generally ranges from a few million dollars for a

standard missile like an SM-2 to upwards of $10 million for

more advanced interceptors like the SM-3, with some

hypersonic missiles potentially costing as much as $40 million each.

Key points about missile costs:
  • Standard Missiles: A typical missile like the SM-2 can cost around $2 million per unit.
  • Advanced Interceptors: Missiles like the SM-3 can cost between $10 and $30 million each.
  • Hypersonic Missiles: Newer hypersonic missiles like the LRHW can cost upwards of $40 million per unit.
