The September 12, 2025 resolution

The resolution passed with 142 votes in favor, 10 against, and 12 abstentions. 

• It endorsed the New York Declaration, which calls for an immediate ceasefire, the release of all hostages, the establishment of a sovereign Palestinian state, the disarmament of Hamas, and normalization between Israel and Arab countries.
• The United States and Israel voted against the resolution, with Israel's ambassador calling it a "hollow gesture" that weakens the UN's credibility. 

In a significant United Nations General Assembly vote on September 12, 2025, both China and Qatar voted in favor of a resolution endorsing the "New York Declaration," which aims to implement a two-state solution for the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. 

China's vote

China's "yes" vote was in line with its consistent public position throughout 2025, during which it also expressed opposition to Israeli military operations. 

• China's ambassador to the UN, Fu Cong, confirmed the "yes" vote for the resolution and called for an immediate and permanent ceasefire in Gaza and the lifting of the blockade on humanitarian supplies. (Hamas causes the blockade)
• In June 2025, China's mission to the UN criticized the United States for vetoing a different draft resolution on Gaza, accusing it of playing "a game of words".  (translation problems?) 

• Qatar also voted in favor of the September 12 resolution. Qatar's vote came shortly after an Israeli strike in Doha, Qatar, which killed Hamas negotiators.(5 unknowns, in Hamas only report) Important leaders
  • were praying in other room.  
  • On September 11,(9/11) 2025, Qatar's Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, spoke at an emergency session of the UN Security Council to condemn the strike on Qatari territory.  (Qatar has been refuge for Muslim Brotherhood for years;  Qawadari, preacher from Egypt, lived there  and preached against Jews and Israel, etc.)
  • He said the attack showed that Israel intended to derail peace talks and that Qatar would not tolerate further breaches of its security and sovereignty.  (Hamas refuses any peace treaty with Israel, heads are in 
  • Qatar emailing terrorists as to how to attack Israel, so must
  • be stopped.  This is war and Qatar was enabling the enemy-
  • as if France was allowing Hitler to comfort and food an 
  • shelter during WWII.)  
  Recent reports from 2025 show that relations between China and Qatar are strong and multi-faceted, built on energy, investment, and strategic partnerships. China, Qatar's largest trading partner, is a major importer of its liquefied natural gas (LNG), and the two countries frequently collaborate on investments and diplomatic issues.

• Qatar and all the Arab States?  So says one resource.

No, Qatar and other Arab states did not declare war on Israel on September 15, 2025. On that day, an emergency summit of Arab and Islamic leaders was held in Doha, Qatar, to respond to an Israeli airstrike that occurred in Doha a week prior. While the meeting resulted in strong condemnations of Israel, no declarations of war were made.

Now is the big RETURN to Israel, and Jews of all nationalities are turning up.  Although the world Jewry has increased by more than 1.5 million since the year 2000, it is not the highest it’s ever been. In 1939, the world’s Jewish population peaked at over 16.7 million, but the atrocities of the Holocaust during World War II reduced the Jewry to less than 11 million. The population has been steadily recovering since.

Of the five major world religions (Hinduism, Buddhism, Judaism, Christianity, Islam), Judaism is by far the rarest, accounting for just 0.18% of the world’s population. Although Judaism is the oldest of the Abrahamic religions by 1,800 years, Christianity and Islam account for 31.1% and 24.9% of the total world population respectively. In other words, there are 173 Christans and 138 Muslims for every Jew.

Before the Nazi takeover of power in 1933, Europe had a vibrant, established, and diverse Jewish culture. By 1945, most European Jews—two out of every three—had been killed for a total of 6,000,000 killed in the Holocaust. 

 It was 601,730 Jews (Israelites) that were led into Canaan at the 2nd census by Moses.  (Numbers, Ch 26) in 1271 BCE.  

Jews make up 0.2% of the world population. One of the oldest and most practiced religions around the world is Judaism. Jewish people first originated in the Middle East and have grown to more than 14 million people worldwide. 

The enlarged Jewish population includes full or partial ancestry and tops 20 million, based on estimates taken in 2017. 

At the beginning of 2019, the world's "core" Jewish population, those identifying as Jews above all else, was estimated at 14.7 million (or 0.2% of the 7.89 billion humans).

1. The most live in Israel.  There, 6,738,500 Jews reside.  That's 74.80% of the population which is now 8,789,774.    They are from all over the world.

Sammy Davis, Jr.(1925-1990) famous singer, and dancer, converted to Judaism. When he lost his left eye, he was In the hospital, Eddie Cantor described to Davis the similarities between Jewish and Black cultures. Davis, born to a Catholic mother and Baptist father, began studying Jewish history, converting to Judaism several years later in 1961. One passage from his readings (from the book A History of the Jews by Abram L. Sachar), describing the endurance of the Jewish people, interested him in particular: "The Jews would not die. Three millennia of prophetic teaching had given them an unwavering spirit of resignation and had created in them a will to live which no disaster could crush."^[ The accident marked a turning point in Davis's career, taking him from a well-known entertainer to a national celebrity. 2. 2nd in population is the United States where 5,700,00 Jews live.  That's 1.75% of the population of 332,915,073.  There had been 2% of the population that was Jewish.  Through death or immigration, the number is getting smaller.

     3.  France, the most dangerous country for Jews; they have been leaving, making aliyah.

Believe it or not, the 3rd largest Jewish population is France with 453,000 which is 0.70% of their population of 65,426,179.

4. Canada comes in 4th with 390,500 Jews which is 1.06% of the population of 38,067,903 people.

6. Argentina is the 6th with 180,300 Jews which is 0.41% of their 45,605,826 population.

Russia has  172,000 Jews which is 0.12% of their population of 145,912,025.  So many of American Jews had immigrated to the USA from Russia.  It's surprising that so many are still listed from Russia being they are against all religions.  In 1980 I made aliyah to Israel and was in a class of 40, mostly Russians.  They were terrific students, learning Hebrew far faster than we few Americans because they were used to studying foreign languages and had a technique down  in order to learn.  Believe it or not, the Russians in my class were mostly Russian -English teachers.  They asked me a lot of questions;  an actual American teacher.  

These are the top 7 out of 96 countries where Jews reside. 

 There were 100 Jews living in Indonesia where 276,361, 783 people live.  Not surprising, Indonesia is #1 the highest of Muslim populations with 229,000,000 Muslims being 87o.20% Muslim.  This made Jews as 0.0% of the population.  

Iran still has 8,500 Jews which are 0.01% of the population of 85,028,759.  

China has 2,800 Jews which make up 0.00% of their population of 1,444,216,107.  

Ireland, which seems to me to always vote against Israel, has 2,600 Jews which is 0.05% of the population of 4,982,907.  They have a smaller population than Israel does.

Ari Shavit reminds us in his book, "My Promised Land," of who the 6 million Jews were.  We hear that number often, six million, and it doesn't mean anything.  People might think of $6,000,000 (6 million)  as nothing today when we hear that there are billionaires in this world.  Ari presents some numbers that make it more realistic.
                                                   

Holland had 140,000 Jews.  
                  102,000 Jews killed.  Remember the story of Anne Frank?  

Romania had 817,000 Jews.
                   380,000 Jews were killed.

Hungary had 825,000 Jews.
                   565,000 Jews were killed

The Soviet Union had 3,020,000 Jews.
                                  995,000 Jews were killed.

Poland had 3,325,000 Jews.
                 3,000,000 Jews were killed.
                                               

Description

The Auschwitz concentration camp was a complex of over 40 concentration and extermination camps operated by Nazi Germany in occupied Poland during World War II and the Holocaust.

He just named a few countries.  
                                                    

Germany was one of the first to lose the Jewish population to the Nazis.  Jews were feeling the grip of hatred early on in the 30s, and my Uncle Werner Oster,
born in 1916 in Westerburg, Hildesheim, Niedersachsen, Germany,  was put in Auschwitz then for beating a cow on the way to his father's slaughter house with a stick.  He was walking it along a path.  His father made sausages. He wasn't hurting the cow, but the Nazis certainly hurt him in Auschwitz, and that was early on before they starting killing Jews there.  What a pretense for taking him away from his family.  It was because he was Jewish!  
                                                        

 The family pooled all their money for a ticket to get him out of Germany first and he managed to be on the ship, SS Washington,  in May 1939, 4 months before Germany entered Poland.  He might have been the last Jew out of Germany then because the door closed and he was unable to get his parents and 16 year old sister out, so they perished in the Holocaust.

Germany had 523,000 Jews in January 1933.  
                      37,000 emigrated by June 1933.  
                    505,000 Jews remained in June 1933.
Germany's population in 1933 was 67,000,000.
Jews made up 0.75% of the population, not even 1%.  
The largest Jewish population center was Berlin.  
                   214,000 Jews in 1937 left to be exterminated. 
In all, the Germans and their collaborators killed between 160,000 and 180,000 German Jews in the Holocaust, including most of those Jews deported out of Germany.  

Austria had 191,458 Jews in 1934.
                 120,000 Jews emigrated by November 1939
                  Deportation began in October 1939.
Vienna had 90% of the Jews with 176,000 
The population of Vienna was:      191,481.  2/3 of these Jews escaped to
other countrie only to die there later.    
                    65,000 Plus Jews from Austria died in the Holocaust.  

Lithuania was hit hard in the Holocaust.  Our grandmother (Bubba). Zlata Goldfus nee Jermulowske, was from Lazdey (Lazdijai) and both grandparents were in Oregon by 1906.  
On November 3, 1941, 1,535 Jews from the Lazdey district, men, women and children were murdered by the Nazis and their local helpers.

Who Were Forced Out of Their Homes

WW II started with the German invasion of Poland on 1st of September, 1939. 
Earlier, on March 20, 1939, Hitler had given the ultimatum to Lithuania to leave Memel(now renamed Klaipeda-a port city)  in 24 hours.  7,000 Jews lived there and around this city had to escape, leaving their belongings behind and many took asylum in Telz, where the Jewish community took care of them. By June 22, 1941, the Nazis invaded Lithuania and the Jews tried to escape to Russia.  On the 23rd, the Nazis bombed the town.  Before the army arrived, there were  armed Lithuanians with white stripes on their sleeves who took over the town.   On Friday, June 27th, the Jews were expelled from their homes and were told to leave their homes unlocked.  They were circled by armed Lithuanians under German command.  The Jews were told to go to the shore of the lake there.  Eventually they were all slaughtered.  

In 1941 about 7,000 Lithuanian Jews; children, women, men were cruelly murdered by the Nazis and their local collaborators.

Size of Religious Lands

I.  Israel is made up of 8,019 square miles.  Compared to the Arab world, the land mass is about 1/625 or 1/6th of 1%. of Arab land. It is so little that from Tel Aviv to Judea-Samaria (West Bank) it is only 11 miles (18 km).  From Netanya to Judea-Samaria it is only 9 miles (15 km).  Ashkelon is only 7 miles (11 km) from Gaza.  Beersheva is only 9 miles (15 km) from Judea.  Ashdod is the farthest from Judea, 22 miles (36 km).  Haifa is 21 miles (35 km)  from Samaria.  Made of 6 million Jews and 1.7 million Arabs, 130,000 Christians.  

Judea and Samaria were the homes of Judaism, led there by Moses.  They originally made up Israel.  When King Solomon (961-920 BCE) died, the southern part of the tribe of Judah pulled out and became the state of Judah.  The state of Israel was then conquered by Assyria in 721 BCE.  Judah was conquered by the Babylonians in 586 BCE.  Hence, Judaism comes from the name of the biggest tribe remaining, Judah.
