On Monday, September 15, 2025, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a video statement urging Gazan civilians to evacuate Gaza City. This was followed by a formal, full evacuation order from the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) the next

Gaza;  10 hrs. ahead of Portland.

  • There was no specified end time for the evacuation, and the IDF has previously dropped leaflets and sent messages and phone calls to residents urging them to move.
  • The IDF instructed Gazans to move south toward the coastal area of al-Mawasi, near Khan Younis.  The IDF designated this area as a "humanitarian zone" and said it would provide aid. This is a distance of 49 min (15.7 mi) via Salah Al Deen.

King Herod the Great who built the massive supporting walls of the Temple Mount complex in Jerusalem around 20 BCE, and the part of these walls that remains visible today is known as the Western Wall. The Western Wall is the closest surviving structure to the site of the ancient Jewish Temple, which was destroyed by the Romans in 70 CE. Today, the Western Wall is a sacred site where Jews pray and is often referred to as the "Wailing Wall" To wail is to cry.  Many Jews have cried here.

IDF infantry, armor and combat engineering units entered Gaza City overnight, after extensive airstrikes in the city on Monday, kicking off the ground phase of Operation Gideon's Chariots IIThe number of soldiers in an Israel Defense Forces (IDF) unit varies significantly depending on its size and function, ranging from small fire teams of a few soldiers to a battalion of up to 1,000 personnel.

On October 7, reservists from the Engineering Corps were called up to serve, and they have been working tirelessly in all the sectors ever since, especially in providing unique engineering solutions for the units operating in the Gaza Strip.

In the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), the term "Unit of Infantry" is not a specific, standard designation. Instead, infantry forces are organized into a tiered, hierarchical structure, and the number of soldiers depends on the specific type of unit.

The IDF views Gaza City’s Hamas command as a well-organized force, protected by extensive underground bases and tunnel networks either undetected or reconstructed after last year’s initial operations.

Chief of Staff Zamir emphasized to commanders: “This is not a rush job. Operate methodically, thoroughly, and smartly.

Force protection takes precedence over speed.” The offensive is expected to continue through January.

Around 700,000 civilians still remain in Gaza City, after 300,000 heeded IDF warnings to evacuate. That means about 1/3 of the civilians have evacuated already.

President Trump posted a warning to Hamas: "I have just read a News Report that Hamas has moved the hostages above ground to use them as human shields against Israel’s ground offensive.

I hope the Leaders of Hamas know what they’re getting into if they do such a thing.

This is a human atrocity, the likes of which few people have ever seen before.

Don’t let this happen or, ALL 'BETS' ARE OFF.

 RELEASE ALL HOSTAGES NOW!"
