British reward was to receive the mandate to care for land for 30 years, then turn it over to Jews for the Jewish Homeland. This was the size of land that our leaders were led to believe would be their Jewish Homeland. What they got was less than 20 % of it, and they took it and named it Israel after their one and only Israel being it was on a speck of the original land.Pogroms led Jews to realize it was time to take back Judah after a final loss in the year 135 when Bar Kokhba was killed in Battle after regaining it in 132.
WWI was about over when Jewish leaders dealt with Great Britain about their ancient lands. Lord Balfour signed the Balfour Declaration. Later, another member was dealing with Arabs about the land, and the land promised to Jews was pared down 77% and given to the Prince of Arabia who needed a place to rule, so he was given Trans-Jordan. The Prince Abdullah had to import his own people from Arabia to live in Trans-Jordan with a few of the natives.
"He did arrive with a following of armed tribesmen from his birthplace in Mecca. He was more focused on unifying the existing, disparate nomadic Bedouin tribes and a largely imported administrative class to build a new state".
Then, Arabs calling themselves Palestinians (Jews were also Palestinians before 48) started demanding land as well, while there never had been a country called Palestine. These Arabs came from all over the Middle East looking for work in Eretz Yisrael, as word was out that Jews had returned and were building. They would learn to build. Soon, they had backers insisting they needed their own country.
It took a meeting in Oslo, Norway to divide the West Bank into A,B and C sections, giving C on the east side to Jews; and the PA (Palestine Authority) A and part of B as well as Gaza. Now, the United Nations has decided today to accept the creation of an Arab Palestine, another of the 50 some Muslim Majority nations already created. What is left of the one and only Israel created through the United Nations on May 14, 1948? People can barely see Israel on a map as it is ! They think that the West Bank, which is the original Judah and Samaria, and Gaza will become their Palestine.
Israel is not about to follow the dictates of the United Nations! They are not about to reward the "Palestinians" invasion and slaughter by giving up land they do not deserve. ENOUGH !!! DAYAYNU !!!
Too bad that the world has forgotten how to read history books. They need to read From Time Immemorial by Joan Peters, and see how Palestinians came to be. Before they went to vote at the UN, they should have read this book.
