Who Are Israel's Greatest USA Presidential Friends?

Going to war was the U.S. president’s decision, for which he alone is responsible.  Nobody can tell Trump to do something he doesn't want to do.  

There is the Problem With the Idea That Netanyahu Made Trump Attack Iran floating around in the US.  So they blame higher gas prices and food prices on Israel now.  Jews have been blamed for every bad thing that has ever happened;  especially the Arabs.  I know that Syrians blamed even bad weather on Jews.  Well, indirectly, maybe I can say that it's the way Jews have been treated that brings on the bad things,  you know, Karma !  (Thank you, India for that one.)  All I believe is that something is watching up high.  Something knows who's good and who's bad and it isn't just Santa Claus.  (Thank you American children).  G-d knows.  Broad antisemitic tropes and theories regarding Jewish influence on war are significant: 


  • Global Views on War Responsibility: A 2025 Anti-Defamation League (ADL) poll found that 40% of people under age 35 and 29% of those over 50 worldwide believe "Jews are responsible for most of the world's wars".
  • Manipulation Tropes: Approximately one-third of Americans at least "somewhat agree" with the trope that Israeli operatives manipulate U.S. national policy.
  • Antisemitic Tropes in the U.S.: As of 2024, nearly 24% of the U.S. population agrees with six or more traditional anti-Jewish tropes, an increase from 20% in 2022.  So that's during  October 7, 2023;  blaming the victim.  
       Truman was the first to recognize Israel as a state; here with Weisman, and he was adamant about doing so.  His surrounding friends were against it.  Here he is with Chaim Weizmann.  Israel will be 78 years old on May 14, 2026.  It's called Yom Ha' atzmaut in Hebrew.

    David Ben-Gurion (born October 16, 1886, Płońsk, PolandRussian Empire [now in Poland]—died December 1, 1973, Tel Aviv–Yafo, Israel) was a Zionist statesman and political leader, the first prime minister (1948–53, 1955–63) and defense minister (1948–53; 
  • 1955–63) of Israel. It was Ben-Gurion who, on May 14, 1948, at Tel Aviv, delivered Israel’s declaration of independence. His charismatic personality won him the adoration of the masses, and, after his retirement from the government and, later, from the Knesset (the Israeli house of representatives), he was revered as the “Father of the Nation.”
  • Is there a problem in that Trump and Netanyahu have become friends as well as making their country's a friend?  It seems that way.  My goodness, it's true that Trump is the second real friend out of the 50 Presidents of the 50 states.  Trump has gone that extra mile that the others didn't.  However, 3 other U.S. presidents have been close allies of Israel, with Lyndon B. Johnson, George W. Bush, and Richard Nixon frequently cited as strong supporters alongside Truman and Trump. These leaders strengthened strategic, military, and diplomatic ties, with LBJ often regarded as the most emotionally committed, supporting Israel during the 1967 war

  •  By the way, Jews happen to live in the states as well as having returned to their native land they have re-named Israel.  It's interesting that Jews make up only 2%  of the USA, yet many people  distrust them.  Where do they get such ideas? 
Israel has been at war with Iran at least since 1967.  Every day they have had the knowledge hanging over their heads that their neighbors cannot bear a Jewish state among the Muslims surrounding them.  Trump led the motion of the Abrahamic Accords in which 4 countries now belong including the USA and Israel, of course.

These Jews belonged to what is called the Old Yishuv, those Jews who were already living in the Land of Israel before the First Aliyah, which began in 1882.

Here's a photo of agricultural workers in Ein Ganim in 1923. Ein Ganim was a moshav established in 1908. It was later absorbed into the city of Petah Tikva and is today a neighborhood there.

Yet Jews had ventured back in the 1880's and even earlier to their native land of Judah, then called Palestine with the Ottoman Empire at the head of it and all the others surrounding it.  It had become unbearable in Russia and those surrounding states creating Pogroms for Jews to live, always being 2nd class people used to vent all their problems on, then...as now, taking it out on them physically.  Jews started to return after being  chased out in 70 CE by the Roman attack that contained threats of not to return or face death.  

Why are the Jews always blamed for everything--the scapegoat of the world?  It started in the Greek days and have never stopped with Hellenism.  Christianity picked it up and added polish and spit.  This new religion did not help any Jews even though  Jesus was said to be Jewish.  As they saw it in those days, reason enough to kill Jews.  

It's taken over 2,000 years for people of this age to accept Jews, and now they have created anti-Semitism again even as bad as Germany had it before WWII.   In this new land of United States which is only 250 years old to finally accept Jews and secure them as 1st class citizens in 2026 is the greatest blessing  for our USA celebration.  It's been a struggle, but this land has been unique in many ways.  Thanks,  oh young USA.

Zionism, A Historic Subject Very Few Know About

Alfred Dreyfus, born October 9, 1859, died July 12, 1935.  Dreyfus was arrested, cashiered from the French army and imprisoned on Devil's Island in French Guiana. Eventually, evidence emerged showing that Dreyfus was innocent and the true culprit was fellow officer Ferdinand Walsin Esterhazy.  

"A young French-Jewish captain named Alfred Dreyfus was on the French General staff in 1894, and someone accused him of selling secret documents to Germany, which he hadn't done.  He was found guilty, and faced life imprisonment.  The fact that he was Jewish made him a suspect.  Anti-Semitism was flourishing.  A descendent of his was Julia Louis Dreyfus on the Seinfeld show who played the part of Elaine. One needs to read the reams of material on anti-Semitism that Jews have had to deal with since the Greek and Roman days that have continued. The Dryfus Affair was just the cog that turned the wheel in doing something about it by the Jews.  Enough was Enough!!!

On 5 January 1895, Dreyfus was summarily convicted in a secret court martial, publicly stripped of his army rank, and sentenced to life imprisonment on Devil's Island in French Guiana. Following French military custom of the time, Dreyfus was formally degraded (cashiered) by having the rank insignia, buttons and braid cut from his uniform and his sword broken, all in the courtyard of the École Militaire before silent ranks of soldiers, while a large crowd of onlookers shouted abuse from behind railings. Dreyfus cried out: "I swear that I am innocent. I remain worthy of serving in the Army. Long live France! Long live the Army!" 

After obtaining better  counsel, he was found innocent in 1906 and was freed , but the "Dreyfus Affair" caused a lot of friction in France.  Most of the country would not accept the thought that prejudice had been the cause that had condemned him.

Dreyfus' prison sentence on Devil's Island had taken its toll on his health. Alfred Dreyfus was on Devil's Island from April 13, 1895 when 36 years old, to June 9, 1899 when he was 40. He was imprisoned there for a total of 1517 days or 4 years and 2 months.

It was the "penal colony of Cayenne (FrenchBagne de Cayenne), commonly known as Devil's Island (Île du Diable), a French penal colony that operated for 100 years, from 1852 to 1952, and officially closed in 1953, in the Salvation Islands of French Guiana."

He was granted retirement from the army in October 1907 at the age of 48. As a reserve officer, he re-entered the army as a major of artillery at the outbreak of World War I. Serving throughout the war, Dreyfus was promoted to the rank of lieutenant colonel.

   Theodor Herzl was a reporter for the Vienna Frie Presse at the time.  A non-religious Jew, he saw the plight of Dreyfus as a Jewish citizen of France but denied citizen respect and protection.  He decided that it was time that all Jews needed their own homeland.  He realized how they could be attacked and accused of crimes at anytime like Dreyfus was. The poor guy wasn't even versed in his own Jewish history, as he didn't know what the Jewish Homeland was !   

In the Bible, "Zion" primarily refers to a specific location: the city of Jerusalem, specifically a hill within it, or the entire Land of Israel. It also symbolizes God's presence, the spiritual heart of Israel, and even a unified, righteous society. In modern times, "Zion" can also refer to the Jewish people and their homeland. The RETURN, talked about in the Bible and has happened,  has brought together 
Jews from every corner of the world.  They strive 
to be that unified, righteous society even though they've been attacked since their 
inception, now on seven fronts.  England said they would help create our Jewish
 Homeland, then gave away all the land in 1921 except about 10% of it which the 
Jews then named, Israel.   

Herzl started the Zionist movement, which meant that he and others urged Jews to return to Palestine after our 2,000 years of absence from there.  Palestine, renamed that in 135 by the Romans who had forced the Jews out, had never been completely devoid of a Jewish population.  We had always maintained a small one, but most of us were outside of the area and living in pockets throughout the world with many in western and eastern Europe.    

Herzl had wanted a Jewish state backed by international agreement.  The problem for him was where to establish a homeland.  He thought of Africa or other less populated countries, but soon realized that only what was being called "Palestine," a small territory once a part of the original kingdom of Israel, could satisfy the Jewish soul, because that was the chosen home for Jews according to our religious beliefs.  Everyone yearned and prayed to return there.  We would be passionate about protecting Israel if given the chance.

Chaim Azriel Weizmann (November 27, 1874-November 9, 1952 in Rehovot, Israel)  was a Russian-born (Belarus)  Israeli statesman, biochemist, and Zionist leader who served as president of the Zionist Organization and later as the first president of Israel. He was elected on 16 February 1949, and served until his death in 1952.  

Mention "Zionism" and you find many people hating the idea, but they have no idea what is means or stands for;  it's just that they've heard their friends hate it.  

It's a movement for (originally) the re-establishment and (now) the development and protection of a Jewish nation in what is now Israel. It was established as a political organization in 1897 under Theodor Herzl, and was later led by Chaim Weizmann.

What did these 3 men have in common?  All 3 were reform Jews or Jews who had not practiced their Judaism, especially Herzl and Dryfus.    Yet they realized that Judaism was at the base of the feelings people had of hatred for them.  They saw that they were people without a country, and that being a religion only was not enough protection from the world. They knew enough about their religion to not want to give it up for another.  

In Support of Zionism:

Various notable figures have expressed support for Zionism, viewing it as a national liberation movement and a means for Jewish people to have a homeland and escape persecution. Supporters include Israeli figures like General Yigal Allon, Ambassador Abba Eban, Prime Minister Golda Meir, and President Chaim Weizmann, who emphasized the historical connection of Jews to the land. U.S. figures such as Supreme Court Justice Louis Brandeis, Presidents John F. Kennedy and Joe Biden, and Civil Rights leader Martin Luther King, Jr. have also expressed support. Other notable supporters include Nobel laureates Albert Einstein and Bertrand Russell, and French President Emmanuel Macron. Even historical figures like Emir Faisal and Winston Churchill expressed sympathy and support for the Zionist movement. Israel is the only Jewish-majority country and the only explicitly Judaic country in the world.

Israeli Government Actions: The Israeli government has recently approved the establishment of new communities and housing units in Judea and Samaria, viewing this as strengthening the Jewish presence in the area and providing a security buffer, but they've waited through the Oslo Agreement not to do anything but in their own allotted section since it's divided into areas A,B and C.  The Palestinians just keep attacking and will not agree to any peaceful agenda.  Mandate for Palestine: Some interpretations of the Mandate for Palestine (1922) granted the Jews a right of "close settlement" in the region, which included Jerusalem, Judea, and Samaria. This is viewed by some as necessitated for the Jewish people to achieve self-determination in their ancestral homeland.
In Opposition to Zionism:
Simone Rimmon Zimmerman (born November 30, 1990) is a Jewish American activist who is opposed to the Israeli occupation of the West Bank and the Gaza Strip. She is the founder of the lobby group IfNotNow.  She's got the idea that Zionism means taking over by force, land Palestinians are living on.  She's wrong.  That's another step that isn't taken, though that's exactly what the Palestinians have tried to do all along to the Jews.  In the USA, people that did that were called "Squatters." They had just squatted on the land without buying it.  Jews had bought and paid for the land they could find in Eretz Yisrael (the land of Israel).  
Critics argue that Zionism and the establishment of Israel resulted in the displacement of Palestinians.  There is the fear that Jews will kick them out of the land.   Opposition also comes from various groups, including some secular and socialist Jews, certain Orthodox Jews who believe a Jewish state can only be re-established by the Messiah, and many Palestinians and Arabs who view Zionism as a colonial project. Christian Zionists have also faced criticism from some religious leaders.   It was the Arabs who left not being able to keep the land they had bought from the Ottoman Empire that Jews had bought land from, paying their high prices, as to Jewsthe land was holy land.  
Neutral or Critically Engaged Perspectives:
Some individuals have held more nuanced views. Edward Said opposed Zionism but advocated for a binational state with equal rights for both Jews and Palestinians. Hannah Arendt critiqued political Zionism but supported Jewish political agency and Israel during conflicts, while having reservations about certain policies. 
These examples represent a range of perspectives on Zionism, and it is important to note that many individuals hold complex views that may change over time. 
The Jewish population in Israel is approximately 7.2 million, representing about 73.2% of the total population. This figure includes those living within the borders of the State of Israel, as well as a significant number residing in Judea and Samaria.

How Jordan Came To Be Under Arabia's Umbrella and Britain's Partner

On 8 March 1920, Abdullah was proclaimed King of Iraq by the Iraqi Congress but he refused the position. After his refusal, his brother Faisal who had just been defeated in Syria, accepted the position.  In fact, Abdullah I was never King of Iraq. He was initially proclaimed King of Iraq by the Iraqi Congress in 1920, but he declined the position. His brother, Faysal I, accepted the Iraqi throne instead. Abdullah later became the Emir of Transjordan, which later became the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. 

 Chaim Azriel Weizmann 27 November 1874 – 9 November 1952) was a Russian-born Israeli statesman, biochemist, and Zionist leader who served as president of the Zionist Organization and later as the first president of Israel. He was elected on 16 February 1949, and served until his death in 1952.

 His acetone production method was of great importance in the manufacture of cordite explosive propellants for the British war industry during World War I. It helped greatly the British who then won the war.   Weizmann was instrumental in obtaining the Balfour Declaration of November 2, 1917 and convincing the United States government to recognize the newly formed State of Israel in 1948.  Weizmann became the 1st President of Israel May 14,  1948.  Chaim is the one wearing a dark tie.  The Balfour Declaration was written on November 2, 1917.                                  



 It was a letter from British Foreign Secretary Arthur James Balfour to Baron Lionel Walter Rothschild, expressing the British government's support for the establishment of a national home for the Jewish people in Palestine. Lionel Walter Rothschild was born in London as the eldest son and heir of Emma Louise von Rothschild and Nathan Rothschild, 1st Baron Rothschild, an immensely wealthy financier of the international Rothschild financial dynasty and the first Jewish peer in England.

Faisal was the son that was first thought to become friend of Israel. The individual who met with Chaim Weizmann in Paris was Emir Faisal ibn Hussein, son of Sharif Hussein of Mecca. They signed an agreement on January 3, 1919, during the Paris Peace Conference, known as the Faisal-Weizmann Agreement.  

How Jordan became a country of an Arabian son was an event that was very fast.  Abdullah I became Emir of Transjordan in April 1921. He upheld his alliance with the British during World War II, and became king after Transjordan gained independence from the United Kingdom in 1946. In 1949, Jordan annexed Judea and Samaria  (the West Bank), which angered Arab countries including Syria, Saudi Arabia and Egypt.  Israel was also angered, as that piece of land had already been promised to the Jews as the eastern part of the Jewish Homeland, discussed in the Balfour Doctrine in writing.  With the attainment of independence, Abdullah became the first monarch of the Hashemite Kingdom of Transjordan, which later became the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. 

King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein (Arabicعبد الله الثاني بن الحسين, ʿAbd Allāh aṯ-ṯanī bin Al-Ḥusayn; born 30 January 1962) is King of Jordan, having ascended the throne on 7 February 1999. He is a member of the Hashemites, who have been the reigning royal family of Jordan since 1921, and is considered a 41st-generation direct descendant of the prophet Muhammad.

 Abdullah II, son of King Hussein of Jordan, became the king of Jordan in 1999 after his father's death. Abdullah had been named heir apparent just weeks before his father's passing. His father was Hussein bin ali Sharif.

Hussein bin Ali, the Sharif of Mecca, primarily aided Great Britain by leading the Arab Revolt against the Ottoman Empire during World War I. He initiated the revolt in 1916 after securing promises of British support for Arab independence, as detailed in the Hussein-McMahon Correspondence. In exchange, the Sharif of Mecca's forces fought against the Ottomans, contributing to the Allied cause in the Middle East. This was the founding father of the king of Jordan today.  

 

The family belongs to the Dhawu Awn, one of the branches of the Ḥasanid Sharifs of Mecca, also referred to as Hashemites. Their eponymous ancestor is traditionally considered to be Hashim ibn Abd Manaf, great-grandfather of the Islamic prophet Muhammad. Talk about having pull!  

His problem is the other relative also claiming closeness to Muhammad, and this one was the impedus of Shia Islam.  Another claimed ancestor is Ali ibn Abi Talib, the usurped successor of the prophet Muhammad according to Shia Islam.  He must have settled in Persia (Iran).                                

Mohammed Amin al-Husseini (Arabicمحمد أمين الحسينيc. 1897 – 4 July 1974) was a Palestinian Arab nationalist and Muslim leader in Mandatory Palestine. Al-Husseini was the scion of the al-Husayni family of Jerusalemite Arab nobles, who trace their origins to the Islamic prophet Muhammad.😠

A Shia Muslim relative of Ali ibn Abi Talib was Mohammad Amin al Husseini, who had never been a friend of the Jews.  He's the one who was Samuel's designated Grand Mufti of Jerusalem because of his family lines, though he was from the opposing side, the Shia. The irony is that Samuel was Jewish.  Husseini was the agitator who told the Arabs to riot against the Jews. 

Today's Prince Faisel of Jordan Prince Faisal bin Al Hussein (Arabicفيصل بن الحسين; born 11 October 1963) is a Jordanian prince who is a son of King Hussein and Princess Muna, and the younger brother of King Abdullah II. Periodically he has served as regent during his brother's absences abroad.

The Hussein-McMahon Correspondence refers to a series of letters exchanged between Sharif Hussein of Mecca and Sir Henry McMahon (British High Commissioner in Egypt) in 1915-1916 during World War I. The correspondence promised British support for an independent Arab state in return for Arab assistance in the war against the Ottoman Empire. 

Balfour Doctrine:  “His Majesty’s Government views with favour the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people, and will use their best endeavours to facilitate the achievement of this object, it being clearly understood that nothing shall be done which may prejudice the civil and religious rights of the existing non-Jewish communities in Palestine, or the rights and political status enjoyed by Jews in any other country.”

In 1915, towards the beginning of the war, the Brits were really feeling the pressure to defeat the Ottomans. They wanted to enlist the support of the Arabs against the Ottomans who were in control of much of the Middle East. The Arab leadership was against the modernizing, secular Ottomans.

Enter Sharif Husayn bin Ali of Mecca. Sharif is Arabic for “noble” and describes the descendants of Prophet Muhammad’s grandson al-Hassan ibn Ali. Basically, he was a primary leader in the Arab world. He had a need — to get rid of the Ottomans. The Brits had the same need — so like any good OL’ fashioned transactional relationship, the Arabs and Brits started talking. “I scratch your back. You scratch mine” sort of thing. In 1915, he began correspondence with Colonel Sir Henry Mcmahon, and essentially made a deal: if the Arabs joined the fight against the Ottomans, the Brits would recognize Arab independence in specific areas, which would include the region of Palestine. These would later be called the M-H correspondence.

Then, in May of 1916, the British and French started dividing up the Middle East like it was a game of fantasy football or something. It was called the Sykes-Picot agreement and it was TOP SECRET (until it wasn’t).The Sykes-Picot Agreement, also known as the Asia Minor Agreement, was a secret agreement made in May 1916 between the UK and France, with the assent of Russia, to divide the Ottoman Empire's Arab territories into British and French spheres of influence after World War I. This agreement aimed to carve out specific regions for each power's control, influencing the future of the Middle East.  Representing the UK, coming in at 5’10 (I MADE UP THAT HEIGHT) was Mark Sykes, and repping team France was Francois Georges-Picot. As they divvied up the Middle East, they decided that Palestine (remember, that’s what the region was called then – NOT A STATE BUT THE REGION) would be under “international administration.”  British got Palestine and French got 
Lebanon, Turkey, Syria and  the Kurdistan region.  
on the 30 year mandate.  


And then, the following year, the Balfour Declaration of 1917 was composed, which gave official British support for a “Jewish national home in Palestine.”

So, you know when you’re dating someone and then you find out they’re kind of dating a few other people? (pause)…hopefully not but if you do or if you can imagine it,, that’s basically what the United Kingdom was doing at the time.

Some people look back at Britain’s negotiations as deceitful… and humorously, or maybe not so humorously, – refer to the Land of Israel as “the much too promised land” or the “twice promised” land, AS OPPOSED TO THE PROMISED LAND.s

Arabs helped to win the war with the Arab leader fighting; and the Jews also had helped to win the war by giving the special umph to the ammunition with Weizmann's bio-chemical ingredients of which without, they would not have won.
