Simcha Jacobovici's Quest For The Lost Tribes

 Nadene Goldfoot

Simcha Jacobovici  really did it.  He presented the best evidence possible for finding the Lost Ten Tribes of Jacob (Israel) in 1998.  I'm so impressed.  This is not a Naked Archaeologist presentation but a much longer one that he and his group did.  They actually went to the places that they had passed using his logic and archaeology background.  I'm very impressed with this and all the other programs he has put together on our history as Jews.  Not only does he hold true to finding real facts but he's got a terrific sense of humor and makes history so interesting that it's entertaining as well.

Please, take time to watch.  I believe this is just what I saw on my TV.  Someone in my tube knew what I like to watch and what I've been writing about.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DEHuWG6TFAQ.  I watched through youtube on my big TV set where it automatically came on as an option and I clicked on on it, luckily. It's over an hour long, so get your popcorn ready.

He traced the tribes:  Reuben, Simeon, Issachar, Zebulon, Gad, Dan, Naphtali, Manasseh, Ephraim and even Asher who was found on an island made up of Sephardim and Ashkenazim on one part, and Cohens on the other side who traced their father's line back to Cohens taken by the Assyrians that was in their oral history who hadn't agreed with others of that period.

Simcha with his 4 daughters and 1 son and wife.

Simcha Jacobovici's parents were Holocaust survivors from Iași, Romania. He was born April 4, 1953, in Petah Tikva, Israel. In 1962, the family relocated to Canada. He was already 9 years old and in the 4th grade, kita daled.  This way he's also in Israel all the time for his TV Naked Archaeologist programs.

Three-time Emmy award winner Simcha Jacobovici is anything but the typical Oleh (new immigrant). The much-lauded documentary filmmaker, who brought the tools of investigative journalism into biblical archeology, is known for producing groundbreaking documentaries such as The Exodus Decoded and The Lost Tomb of Jesus. While the accomplished director and producer saw making Aliyah from Toronto, Canada as part of the natural progression of his life, others found Jacobovici’s fascinating odyssey and the ease with which he, his wife Nicole, and their five children made their new life in Israel – as nothing short of inspiring.  In the summer of 2009, they made it official when they made Aliyah with Nefesh B’Nefesh. They finally felt they were where they belonged. A Sabra had returned home.

Simcha is an orthodox Jew who doesn't shy away from finding evidence in the New Testament of the Christians for Jewish historical facts as well.

This segment ends with information telling about the Pashtuns of India, Pakistan and Afghanistan and how the Jews of the areas were shocked to discover them and the Pashuns were shocked to find Jews.  The Pashtuns thought they were more Jewish than the Jews that they ran into.

He earned a B.A. in philosophy and political science (with honors) from McGill University and an M.A. in International Relations from the University of Toronto. From 2015 to 2018 he was an adjunct professor of religious studies at Huntington University, Greater Sudbury, Ontario. He is married and the father of five children.  He almost earned a PhD on archaeology but was too anxious to get out and start searching for facts.  He wasn't enthused about some of the methods used then, and has since showed that he had better ideas on how to find information.  I'd say that Simcha has Chutzpa that has aided him, thank goodness! He's had his chidings, a few findings  that haven't been accepted, but they are few.

Here is another mainly on Pathans (Pashtuns) that Simcha Jacobovici did.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D9nFZJeh9Bo.  Great!  another one for me to watch.

Like Simcha said, Is this really happening?  Is this the end of times unfolding? The prophet Zachariah foretells that all the nations of the world will come to Jerusalem on Sukkot in the days of the Redemption. Thus, the holiday reaches out to the nations of the world.

Interviewing Naqibullah Isaczai, who fled the Taliban for the USA and tells Arutz Sheva of education for terrorism, persecution, love for Israel and dreams of visiting the graves of 'our common ancestors' in the Jewish state.

One mind-blowing fact presented was that the tribe of Manasseh on the Burma-India border is populated by a million and a half people, and a few are already in Israel.  Those not there yet are fighting a people that know they are alien to the land where they are, but the Manasseh are good fighters.  At the end of the world, the lost tribes and the population of Israel are to be the same.  What did Simcha say about that?  That it has already happened???  I just wish I had been able to tag along on his quests in finding the Lost Tribes.
