Pashtuns Are Not Aryans

Nadene Goldfoot

James Michener is one of the USA's best writers who writes about all kinds of cultures such as:  TEXAS, HAWAII, Israel with  THE SOURCE, and Afghanistan in CARAVANS. He includes a lot of description in each of his books.  I was surprised to find the following:

1942-43 in Kabul with American diplomat, Mr. Thayer and helpers
The United States recognized Afghanistan, then under the rule of King Amanullah, in 1921, and established diplomatic relations in 1935.

The main character in James Michener's book is a Jewish American soldier of WWII stationed in Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan.

" As we made our way toward the center of Kabul I was reminded of the first contradiction that marked Afghanistan.

Afghanistan refugee-looks Jewish to me...

The men I saw on the streets looked much more Jewish than I.  They were tall, dark of skin, lithe, with flashing black eyes and prominent Semitic noses.  They took great pride in their claim to be descendants of the lost tribes of Israel who were supposed to have reached these mountain plateaus during the Diaspora.
My father and me

He's a Pashto but looks Jewish, if one can look Jewish, that is
I can say that he looks like us.

But at the same time the Afghans remembered that the ancient name of their country was Aryana, and in the volatile 1930s they were adopted by Adolf Hitler as the world's first Aryans and his special wards.  The proud Afghans were able to accept both accolades without discrimination and consequently boasted that while it was true that they were born of the Jewish tribe, the Ben-i-Israel, once they reached Afghanistan they had ceased being Jews and had founded the Aryan race.  It made as much sense as what some of their friends were propounding elsewhere."

We know that the Assyrians took our 10 northern tribes from the original 12 tribes of Jacob from Israel in 722 and 721 BCE.  That's almost 3,000 years ago. It's been found that this is true, they wound up in Afghanistan, Pakistan and parts of India.  At least several of the 10 have been found to be there, at least.  They are today's Pashtuns, or some of them.  Did it really take them from 721 BCE in Israel till our tribe of Judah (Jews) time of the diaspora which would be from 70 CE onward?  That's about right;  about 100 years.  The Assyrians were overtaken by the Babylonians in 597BCE and again in 586BCE.

Jews were taken from Jerusalem in 597 BCE and 586 BCE to Persia and returned in 538 BCE to rebuild our Temple that had been destroyed by the Babylonian Nebuchadnezzar and his troops.

Hitler talking with the Arab Grand Mufti about how to kill all the Jews

By 1930, Hitler had taken over and was spouting his theory of Germans being of the Aryan race, meaning pure white people. He did not consider Jews as being this and thought we were a different race.  Race is a very special term.  There is White, Black, Asian, .
Different races of people

The dictionary says: a family, tribe, people, or nation belonging to the same stock.  a class or kind of individuals with common characteristics, interests, or habits.  a division of mankind possessing traits that are transmissible by descent and sufficient to characterize it as a distinct human type. etc. Jews are Semites.  Hitler said that was a race that had to be destroyed and so he managed to have 6 million of us killed before he was stopped in WWII by the Allies.  If he had won, the Arabs and Pashtuns would be killed next after us because they are also Semites.

Could Pashtuns be descendants of our northern 10 Tribes that were taken from our Israeli family and also be Aryans?  No.  There never was an Aryan race that Hitler had cooked up in his mind.  First of all, Aryan "was like a word used to describe Persia-today's Iran, not Afghanistan.

"Aryan" (/ˈɛəriən/)  is a term that was used to describe themselves by Indo-Iranian people. The word was used by the Indic people of the Vedic period in India as an ethnic label for themselves and to refer to the noble class as well as the geographic region known as Āryāvarta, where Indo-Aryan culture is based.  The closely related Iranian people also used the term as an ethnic label for themselves in the Avesta scriptures, and the word forms the etymological source of the country name Iran.   It was believed in the 19th century that Aryan was also a self-designation used by all Proto-Indo-Europeans, a theory that has now been abandoned.   Scholars point out that, even in ancient times, the idea of being an "Aryan" was religious, cultural and linguistic, not racial.

Arno Breker's 1939 neoclassical sculpture Die Partei (The Party), which flanked one of the entrances to the Albert Speer-designed Reich Chancellery in Berlin. The sculpture emphasizes what the Nazis considered to be desirable "Nordic" racial characteristics.

So, Aryans  did not exist.  Nordic means people like the Swedes and Norwegians.   There is no "Master" race.    It was not a race of people like Hitler said he was and that's why he hated people with black hair.  He thought that all perfect people were Aryans and  had to be blondes.  Many Jews had black hair, or at least a dark brown.  The German Jews, the ones Hitler saw, had white skin and yet they were not a part of Hitler's perfect race of people, his make believe Aryans.

  1. The irony is that Hitler had the blackest of hair.

Another tragic irony was that of all the peoples of Germany during World War 1, those of Jewish faith enlisted in the military in far greater proportion to their population than other groups.

120,000 Jews fought in the German armed forces and 12,000 died fighting for the Fatherland. Yet the false claim that the Jews did not support Germany was spread - just like the blood libels spread by the Church against the Jews before, during and after the medieval period - which led to Germany embracing Nazism and murdering 6,000,000 Jewish men, women, children and babies.

  3. Thanks, Victor. You are right and that should have made Hitler's followers think twice about Hitler and his dark hair, too. But they didn't say a thing about it. My uncle, Werner Oster, barely got out of Germany in May 1939 and the war started in June, and his father served in WWI. He was made to scrub the street on his hands and knees so he wore his WWI uniform in doing it. What the Germans didn't like about Jews was that they managed to keep their stores going during their financial drop in their stock market, keeping many German citizens working, so they were jealous of their business acumen. Jealousy causes much grief in the world. Need I say that it's on the list of the 10 Commandments. The Nazi answer to this problem was to kill the competition.
