Why The Two-State Solution For Israel Is Such A Bad Idea-China Needs To Understand This

 Nadene Goldfoot

   UAE, Bahrain, Morocco, and Sudan are members of the Abraham Accords.  As of current date, May 3, 2025, five countries have signed peace treaties or agreements that normalize relations with Israel: Egypt, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Morocco, and Sudan.

China was amazed that a 2-State Solution hadn't come about after the Six Day War and I am amazed that possibly China was cut off from the world at that time, for that is an ancient idea now, an antique one at that,  and especially after the October 7, 2023  Hamas  attack when they still refuse to return the 50 some hostages they continue to hold.  Surely people should get the message that the idea of placing the group, Hamas next door to Israel, would be like asking people to each take in an adult lion into their home and expect not to be eaten alive. Where on earth was China?

I heard you speak today against Israel who celebrated their 77th birthday on their Hebrew calendar---on the world calendar the date is May 14th!!!  Our ancient Israel had lived from King Saul-c. 1180-1010 BCE to 70 CE:  well over 1,000 years when the Romans burned down Jerusalem, and yes, it was more like an atom bomb had hit;  the people suffered starvation, death from swords, arrows, etc, and those still alive were taken as slaves; with a number escaping.    In the United Nations, China has long voted in support of the State of Palestine and against Israel.Today wasn't any different.

When Israel won the 1967 Six Day war, a war where all the Muslims near and far attacked Israel, when the odds against Israel must have been something like 500 to 1, and Israel embarrassed them all by overtaking them in 6 days-even to their own surprise, they were MAD!!!

They went to Khartoum, Sudan, Africa for a meeting and all swore  the 3 NO's;  The 1967 Arab League summit was held on August 29 in Khartoum as the fourth Arab League Summit in the aftermath of the Arab defeat by Israel in the Six-Day War, and is famous for its Khartoum Resolution known as "The Three No's";

 No peace with Israel,

no recognition of Israel,

no negotiations with Israel.

Have they thrown away this declaration yet?  Have they amended it?

No, they are following it;  all except the few daring enough and intelligent enough to join the Abraham Accords-and for this May Abraham look down and bless those few.  The Abraham Accords have involved Israel and several Arab nations, including the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Bahrain, Morocco, and Sudan. These agreements normalized diplomatic relations between Israel and these Arab states.

Benny Morris wrote that the Arab leaders "hammered out a defiant, rejectionist platform that was to bedevil all peace moves in the region for a decade" despite an Israeli offer on 19 June 1967 "to give up Sinai and the Golan in exchange for peace." Odd Bull of the UNTSO opined in much the same manner in 1976. In 1976, Odd Bull, the Chief of Staff of UNTSO, expressed opinions similar to the rejectionist platform of the Khartoum Resolution, which included "No peace with Israel" and "No recognition of Israel"This occurred during a time of rising tensions, particularly between Israel and Syria, which both claimed territories within the demilitarized zones.  UNTSO's task at the time was to monitor the borders and mediate disputes between them.  So Israel GAVE the PLO Gaza in the name of peace. In September 1993, after the First Intifada, leaders of Israel and the PLO signed the Oslo Accords, allowing Palestinian administration of the Gaza Strip and the West Bank town of Jericho.

China....these are special days that we have entered.  Judaism, Christianity and Islamhave a belief that these are the End of Times Look at our weather, the people, Jews returning to Israel from the 4 corners of the world, earthquakes,  our technical abilities, going into outer space, and who has been cruising over us lately?  UFO's?  Or was it you?  Well, it wasn't us. In those six days, Israel defeated three Arab armies, gained territory four times its original size, and became the preeminent military power in the region. The war transformed Israel from a nation that perceived itself as fighting for survival into an occupier and regional powerhouse;  all in 6 days!!!

The consequences for the Arab coalition were similarly transformative. For those “on the line of confrontation,” as Arab states bordering Israel were called, the war brought the loss of vast territories and crushing humiliation, all the more so for the Palestinians. Gamal Abdel Nasser, President of Egypt and the most prominent Arab leader at the time, survived the war but his leadership never recovered. The stunning defeat initiated the demise of his brand of secular pan-Arabism that was once an assertive ideological force in the Arab world.

Some of us actually believe that Israel had the Almighty help from up above, and it sure seems so.  Jews had to wait for 2,000 years to regain only a teeny 10% of their original land, from a promise, called the Balfour Declaration to them by the British who held a 30 year mandate of Palestine.  This was at the end of World War I when the Ottoman Empire had made the mistake of joining on Germany's side (the axis) and lost all their land.
