Happenings With Israel's IDF On May 15, 2025

Judea-and land surrounding it called Samaria, the Jewish home of ancient Israel which has been called "West Bank" by Jordan and others of late.  Judea was the land of the tribe of Judah, one of the 12 tribes of Jacob housing Jerusalem;   and Samaria was originally the capital of Israel since 880 BCE by King Omri of Israel (1 Kings (16:24).

The land of Judah/Judea was again renamed as Palaeasatina (Prima and Secunda) by the Romans in 135 CE(AD).  Also, Samaria means "the center' and Galilee means "the north.'
The Judea and Samaria Area is administered by the

Israel Defense Forces Central Command, and military law is applied. Administrative decisions are subject to the Command's chief.

A terrorist opened fire on a vehicle on Rt. 446, near the settlements of Peduel and Bruchin in Samaria, killing Tzeela Gez, a 30 year old pregnant mother who was on her way to the hospital to give birth to her fourth child, and wounding her husband. Doctors managed to deliver her baby via emergency cesarean section. Security forces are hunting for the terrorist. Samaria Regional Council head Yossi Dagan, who cut short a trip to the United States after hearing about the attack, said, “This road has seen four attacks. No country would allow this to continue. We demand a change in policy.”

The future status of the region is a key factor in the ongoing Israeli–Palestinian conflict, especially since October 7th's (2023) attack, showing that Israel will most likely continue governing here for a while longer.  Remember, Hamas are the terrorists who plotted and took the active part in October 7th.

TURNED INTO PLATFORM FOR SHOOTING ISRAELIS BY THESE TERRORISTS.  Israel completed its withdrawal from the Gaza Strip and transferred control to the Palestinian Authority (PA) in September 2005. This event is known as Israel's disengagement from Gaza.

A US backed group says it will deliver aid to Gaza, but humanitarian organizations are skeptical.  CNN- A controversial new American-backed organization, the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), has announced it will begin delivering aid to the besieged territory within two weeks and says it has Israel’s approval.  What is heard is that Hamas has been stealing the trucks and food, and reselling it asking high prices for it, and feeding themselves first.  I believe that  Jake Wood is the man for this job and will get the food through.

Officials said their goal was to force the group to accept new ceasefire terms and release hostages taken from Israel on October 7, 2023.

The Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), announced last week by Steve Witkoff, received Israeli approval to begin operations in the Gaza Strip before the end of the month. GHF Director Jake Wood said, “The fund operates independently of direct government influence, featuring fortified, closed distribution sites monitored in real time, armored vehicles and professional civilian security—with no military presence whatsoever.” It’s being led by Jake Wood, a US military veteran who founded and ran Team Rubicon, which has provided humanitarian relief during natural disasters.Jake Wood is a former US Marine scout sniper and social entrepreneur who co-founded Team Rubicon, a global disaster relief organization. Wood served in Iraq and Afghanistan from 2005–2009, graduating top of his class in Boot Camp, Scout-Sniper School, and the School of Infantry. He received the Navy-Marine Corps Commendation Medal for Valor and three meritorious promotions, including one in combat.

The air force reportedly conducted airstrikes across Gaza throughout the day today, including in Jabalya and eastern Khan Yunis, as well as other locations. Palestinian sources claim that 100 have been killed in the strikes.  This is the end after pin-pointing the head of Hamas as the target in Khan Yunis.  Gaza Strip, on Thursday, May 15, 2025. (AP Photo/Jehad Alshrafi)  The IDF said it had struck over 130 terror targets in the Strip over the past 48 hours. The targets included rocket launchers, cells of operatives, and buildings used by terror groups to plan attacks on forces, the military said.

The new hostage proposal under discussion for several days in Qatar is reportedly based on the framework put forth by Trump envoy Steve Witkoff. Under the plan, Hamas would release 10 of the remaining living hostages in exchange for a 40 to 50 day ceasefire,(when about 20 are believed to still be alive)  the release of Palestinian prisoners and negotiations toward a permanent end to the war, culminating in the return of all living and deceased hostages.  Hamas, however, has rejected the outline, insisting on firm guarantees for a full cessation of hostilities before agreeing to any release.
