When Will Hamas Love Their Children More?

 Nadene Goldfoot

Golda  Meir nee Meyerson (1898-1978), born in Russia, lived in USA as a child, made Aliyah in 1921 when Palestine;  in politics as in Labor Zionism, author of "My Life", Prime Minister of Israel,

“When peace comes we will perhaps in time be able to forgive the Arabs for killing our sons, but it will be harder for us to forgive them for having forced us to kill their sons. Peace will come when the Arabs will love their children more than they hate us.”  In other words, she said it more like a prophet, and that day hasn't yet arrived.

I'm sure that Israelis hate having to bomb Gaza every time they must in the act of a war that they didn't ever ever start but have been the target of acts of hatred of this type way before Golda ever said those words as Prime Minister of Israel starting in 1969.  Israelis are also squeamish at the thought of taking Palestinian lives, but war, then and now,  is in the act of defending their own.  Many were not happy with it and demonstrated against it, actually not understanding the closeness they were in losing their own country.

The Palestinians know of our moral code, which Hamas has never used.  They are willing to allow their own people's lives to be taken in order to preserve their Hamas politics of driving Jews out of the land once Palestine-which, by the way, was also their name before May 14, 1948 when they announced the birth of Israel.  Their intentions were solidified in Khartoum, Africa's meeting after the 6 day war on August 29, 1967 when all Arab armies attacked Israel at once and failed in doing so, in fact, losing the war.

Their determination has softened to the point of t countries signing on a peace with Israel and being on the Abraham Accords, but Hamas terrorists, just keep getting more determination to hurt both physically and mentally, the people of Israel.  They know the rest of the world will side with the "poor" Palestinian Arabs and hate Jews, as the world always has since the Greek and Roman periods, because they would not change their religious outlook of life to match theirs.
According to an analysis by US-based researchers Jamon Van Den Hoek and Corey Scher, at least 60 percent of all buildings in Gaza have been destroyed. [Mohammed Salem/Reuters]

Portland's channel 2 of abc announced that today was National Recycling Day.  It made me think of the waste in Gaza, the once good buildings that the Jews had left for them in handing over Gaza to Palestinians on 22 November 2005, not because we were forced to do so, but by the good will of the Israeli government, though you'd ask those Jews who had to be moved out in the act of accommodations of the Arabs, they were not happy about it. In 5 minutes, Hamas, who had taken over their government by vote, was shooting at Israel and haven't stopped. They themselves destroyed the building Jews had left in perfect condition, including businesses they had.  Nothing was acceptable to the Hamas government for the people.  "Hamas said it returned the bodies of four Israeli hostages in exchange for hundreds of Palestinian prisoners. This was the final hostage release under the first phase of the ceasefire. Negotiations have yet to begin on phase two. BBC News correspondent Sebastian Usher reports."

Even today when Israel was offering a thousand criminal Palestinians in return for about 25 remaining hostages of theirs, they wouldn't do it but kept up the war by shooting at Israel.  Do journalists of the world make this clear?  I don't think so.  What most people hear or read is how horrid Israelis are to shoot these poor indefensible people.  It happens that these people are the parents of present day Hamas terrorists and were in the same role 20 years ago.  They know who they are aiding and abetting. They've been helped all along by the nation of Iran, evidently the center of Ayatollah instigators of hatred.

The Arab leadership had told their people to remain in refugee camps.  They were the pawns in a gigantic chess game that the Arab thought they would be the winners.  They had even told their people to have patience and that they would soon win so that the people could take over the Jews' homes.

What can I say?  We got back the Golan Heights.  Cut, cut, cut, everyone wanted a bite.  We are left about  10,000 sq. miles or 25,899.88 km.
Well, Jews had more determination than they realized in staying alive and keeping what the small fraction of the Jewish Homeland had become in this bartering game of the Allies.
