Dead Soviet civilians near Minsk, Belarus, 1943We American Jews, in remembrance of the 3 million Jews that lived in Ukraine, our relatives, before World War II, are on Ukraine's side in this horrible Nazi-like invasion and slaughter of Ukraine by Russia. We support their acts of self-defense. We will not forget what happened to our people.
August 1939, Germany and the Soviet Union signed a non-aggression treaty.
Kiev, 23 June 1941, 81 years ago, 3 generations since then:On June 22, 1941, Nazi Germany launched a surprise attack against the Soviet Union, its ally in the war against Poland.
By the end of the year, German troops had advanced hundreds of miles to the outskirts of Moscow. Soon after the invasion, mobile killing units began the mass murder of Soviet Jews. German military and civilian occupation policies led to the deaths of millions of Soviet prisoners of war and Soviet civilians.
World War II losses of the Soviet Union from all related causes were about 27 million, both civilian and military,
How can Putin bear to lie with every word he says? Everything has turned out to be a lie, the opposite of the truth.
Starting attack in Leningrad battlefront22 June 1941 with the invasion called Barbarossa, 80% of the German army attacked the Russians:
How can Russia do this detestable act after living through such an attack in World War II?
Soviet prisoners of war
The German armies eventually captured some 5 million Soviet Red Army troops. The Nazis deliberately starved to death or otherwise killed 3.3 million Soviet prisoners of war, and millions of civilians, as the "Hunger Plan" worked to solve German food shortages and exterminate the Slavic population through starvation.
It wasn't the Ukraines who attacked Russia in 1941, it was the Germans-Nazis. How can you treat Ukraine as the Germans did in their plundering of Poland? How can any of you sleep at night?
