True Facts About UNRWA And UNESCO

While it has received praise and recognition for its work by various governments, public figures, and independent monitors, UNRWA (United Nations Relief and Works Agency) has also been subject to criticism and controversy related to its operations, role in the Gaza Strip, relationship with Hamas, and textbook content.   The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA,  is a UN agency that supports the relief and human development of Palestinian refugees. 

Most recently, the agency faced allegations by the Israeli government that twelve of its employees were involved in the 2023 Hamas-led attack on Israel, leading to lay-offs, an investigation, and the temporary suspension of funding by numerous donors. As of May 2024, several major donors have since resumed funding as the investigation remains ongoing.  Lawmakers also voted to declare UN relief agency a terror group, banning any direct interaction with Israeli state.

UNESCO, or the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, is a specialized agency of the United Nations that works to promote peace and security through international cooperation in education, science, culture, and communication.

UNESCO was founded in 1945 as the successor to the League of Nations' International Committee on Intellectual Cooperation. UNESCO's founding mission, which was shaped by the events of World War II, is to advance peace, sustainable development and human rights by facilitating collaboration and dialogue among nations. It pursues this objective through five major programme areas: education, natural sciences, social/human sciences, culture and communication/information. UNESCO sponsors projects that improve literacy, provide technical training and education, advance science, protect independent media and press freedom, preserve regional and cultural history, and promote cultural diversity. The organization prominently helps establish and secure World Heritage Sites of cultural and natural importance.

Everything they have been doing is slanted in the Palestinian favor.  What they have been dishing out is anti-Semitism to the children and adults.  Palestinians are  people on the dole of the UN for the longest time.  

 UNRWA's mandate encompasses Palestinians who fled  during the the 1948 War, when Jews declared Israel a state, and subsequent conflicts, as well as their descendants, including legally adopted children. As of 2019, more than 5.6 million Palestinians are registered with UNRWA as refugees.  As of 2024, approximately 5.9 million Palestinians are registered with UNRWA as refugees. 

UNRWA was established in 1949 by the UN General Assembly (UNGA) to provide relief to all refugees resulting from the 1948 conflict; this initially included Jewish and Arab Palestine refugees inside the State of Israel until the Israeli government took over this responsibility in 1952.   As a subsidiary body of the UNGA, UNRWA's mandate is subject to periodic renewal every three years; it has consistently been extended since its founding, most recently until 30 June 2026.

UNRWA employs over 30,000 people, most of them Palestinian refugees, and a small number of international staff. Originally intended to provide employment and direct relief, its mandate has broadened to include providing education, health care, and social services to its target population. 

UNRWA operates in five areas: Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, including East Jerusalem; aid for Palestinian refugees outside these five areas is provided by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), established in 1950 as the main agency to aid all other refugees worldwide.

 UNRWA is the only UN agency dedicated to helping refugees from a specific region or conflict, and that has been the Palestinians.  UNRWA has developed its own working definition of "refugee" to allow it to provide humanitarian assistance. Its definition does not cover final status.   Palestine refugees are "persons whose regular place of residence was Palestine during the period 1 June 1946 to 15 May 1948, and who lost both home and means of livelihood as a result of the 1948 conflict."

On 8 December 1949, the General Assembly adopted Resolution 302(IV), which established the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA). The resolution was adopted and passed unopposed, supported by Israel and the Arab states, with only the Soviet bloc and South Africa abstaining.

Historically, most of the agency's funds came from the United States ($7 billion in total) and the European Commission; in 2019, close to 60 percent of its total pledge of $1.00 billion came from EU countries, with Germany being the largest individual donor. The next largest donors were the EU, United Kingdom, Sweden and the United Arab Emirates, followed by Saudi Arabia, France, Japan, Qatar, and the Netherlands. UNRWA also establishes partnerships with nongovernmental donors, including nonprofit "national committees" based in donor countries.

It's either naivety or plain lying to believe the following:  "Oh I am sure that there are Hamas members on the UNRWA payroll and I don't see that as a crime. Hamas as a political organization does not mean that every member is a militant and we do not do political vetting and exclude people from one persuasion as against another. FIGHTING UNESCO; The Jewish Past and the Jewish Present of Israel Will Not Be Buried: Our Documentation

"UNESCO's big fight with ISRAEL is erasing the Jewish history of this site.  "UNESCO’s draft resolution, sponsored by several Arab countries, referred to the Temple Mount and Western Wall only by their Muslim names and condemned Israel as “the occupying power” for various actions taken in both places.  "

                                                                         

Israel is a country that has returned to its own special history.  Its religion of Judaism is tied to its land in that G-d had told their ancient fathers to live on this special land to do their work.  One can't turn over dirt with a shovel without finding some remnant of Jewish history.  What the eye can see is recorded in the Torah and following books that make up the Tanakh, what others call the Old Testament.  It's all documented and recorded, there to find if anyone has the interest to read.
                                                                           

The Temple Mount in Jerusalem is the spot that King Solomon had built their 1st Temple. He was our 3rd king, following King Saul (c1050-1010 BCE) , King David (1010-970 BCE) and David's son, King Solomon 961-920 BCE).  Solomon was said to be the wisest king.  Here he solved how to find the true birth mother of a baby two women fought over.
                                                                       

Judeans forced by Babylonian soldiers to march to Babylonia in their conquest by Nebuchadnezzar II from 597 and 586 BCE. They may have met up with the Lost 10 Tribal members there as they were taken by the Assyrians in 721 BCE and Nebuchadnezzar inherited land and people from there.  

                                                                           

  It was destroyed by the Babylonian invasion in 586 BCE when the Judeans were taken away to Babylonia.  They were able to finally return 70 years later and rebuild a 2nd Temple on the same spot called the Temple Mount.  Then the Romans invaded Jerusalem and took it over, finally burning down that Temple along with the city and killing thousands of people in 70 CE.

The Romans first occupied Jerusalem.   Their rule was unbearable and the people revolted in 66.
They had independence for 3 years, then were besieged by Titus.
The 2nd Temple burned down with Jerusalem by the Romans in 70 CE. Thousands
were starved to death as Josephus wrote all about it. In the siege of Jerusalem during the Roman War, the Temple served as a center of military activity but then was destroyed.  Romans built a temple on the site  with a mosque there afterward. 

 The Babylonian Jews rose up against the Roman Emperor Trajan in 116 CE.  when he ordered a massacre of Jews in Mesopotamia.  Judea was held down by his General Lucius Quietus. 

By 132 Judean General Bar Kochba revolted and held Jerusalem for 3 years before he
was killed in 135.  Emperor Hadrian rebuilt Jerusalem as a Roman Colony and renamed it Aelia Capitolina.  Jews were forbidden to approach it under pain of death.  Under Constantine it was Christianized.  Helena, his mother, visited in 335.  Now it had churches and monasteries; pilgrims and religious disputes.  

By 638, the city fell to the caliph OMAR who set up a place of prayer in the Temple esplanade, which was rebuilt in 691 as the DOME OF THE ROCK(also called the Mosque of Omar).   by the Umayyad caliph Abd-el Malik.   It was built in the center of the Temple area to replace the temporary structure set up by Caliph Omar 100 years earlier.  Omar was the 2nd caliph.  Under him, Jews were expelled from N. Arabia.  Now the city was under Arab rule and Jews were allowed to return.

This organization works at odds in preserving historic sites in Israel, which Israel does. 

"The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) has been treating Israel with hostility in recent years. Time and again, the organization adopts anti-Israel resolutions denying the Jewish people’s connection to the Land of Israel and Jerusalem and defining Jewish sites as "Palestinian heritage sites."

The USA and Israel are on the verge of pulling out from UNESCO with the USA planning on doing so the end of the year.  One lady " reportedly told the premier she was making big efforts to change UNESCO’s treatment of Israel, and added she would like to meet him at the sidelines of the UN session to discuss a possible postponement of Israel’s exit from the agency. "

The outgoing Israeli ambassador to UNESCO,  Carmel Shama-Hacohen,  said he welcomed “the new personality and the new energy brought by the new Director,” adding that he was going to recommend his government reconsider its decision to withdrawal or “at least to postpone it for a year.” These remarks are all the more surprising as they come from someone who was always quick to denounce the organization’s resolutions which in the eyes of the Israeli’s authorities use heritage protection as an excuse to deny any link between Judaism and its historic sites including Jerusalem.

From 1948 Jews were cut off from this wall which was under Jordanian control, despite a paragraph in the Israel-Jordanian control,  and despite a paragraph in the Israel-Jordan 1949 Armistice Agreement affirming Jewish right of access.

It wasn't until 1967 Jews could again visit the Wall now under Jewish sovereignty for the 1st time since the 2nd Temple Period.  
On Shavuot 1967, the 1st day the public could visit, 200,000 people went there, a focal point for all Jews who come from around the world.

onslaught of all the Arab nations. 

Instead, UNESCO denies any connection between Israel and its historic Temple Mount and Western Wall also located in Jerusalem.  The Wall is the remnant of the ancient retaining wall of the ancient Jewish 1st and 2nd Temples that were repaired by King Herod.  You'd think this would be high priority on their list, but then they favor the Palestinians politically who are trying to take over the Jewish land.

UNESCO is not a peaceful organization.  They are appeasers.

UNESCO is the heir of the League of Nations' International Committee on Intellectual Cooperation.  UNESCO is like the theater of the Absurd.  

UNESCO, standing for the United Nations Educational, Scientific, Cultural Organization, is an agency of the United Nations, located in Paris and includes 195 member states and 9 associate members.  

They just wrote a resolution on what they called "Occupied Palestine" which negates the move that their forefather,  The League of Nations took, and the United Nations had followed up and verified with when they decided to give the mandate for Palestine to Great Britain with the direction to help the Jews and to help them turn it into the Jewish Homeland.  They did, and when the Brits' 30 year mandate came to an end and they packed up and left, the Jews declared their state to be called ISRAEL on May 14, 1948.

Their declaration sets out to Islamize the ancient history of the people of Israel, with Islam, a religion that came 1,600 years after Israel's King Saul had established his Israel.  We see from those who voted for it that they were a mixture of European and other Christian nations along with many Muslim states.

Then this new group of culturally interested and oh so educationally minded approved their resolution at a committee stage by 24 votes to 6, with 26 abstentions back on October 13, 2016.  

The people voting against this terrible resolution were:  Estonia, Germany, Lithuania, The Netherlands, United Kingdom and the United States.  Six brave countries who said NO!  

Abstaining were:  Albania, Argentina, Cameroon, El Salvador, France, Ghana, Greece, Guinea, Haiti, India, Italy, Ivory Coast, Japan, Kenya, Nepal, Paraguay, Saint Vincent and Nevis, Slovenia, South Korea, Spain, Sri Lanka, Sweden, Togo, Trinidad and Tobago, Uganda and Ukraine.  

Absent were Serbia and Turkmenistan.  

The nasties who voted FOR this unbelievable resolution were Algeria, Bangladesh, Brazil, Chad, China, Dominican Republic, Egypt, Iran, Lebanon, Malaysia, Morocco, Mauritius, Mexico, Mozambique, Nicaragua, Nigeria, Oman, Pakistan, Qatar, Russia, Senegal, South Africa, Sudan and Vietnam.  Why would they vote for such a horrific resolution against Israel ?  What's in it for them?  What do they have in common?

We had our first run-in with Muslims in 624.  Mohammad died in 632.  
624: Muhammad broke with his Jewish supporters because they refused to recognize him as a prophet and adopt Islam. He chose now to emphasize the Arabness of the new religion and has his followers face Mecca when praying instead of Jerusalem. In the end, all the Jews were either banished or executed.
634-644: Umar (c. 591-644) reigns as the second caliph. The Muslims subjugate Egypt, Palestine, Syria, Mesopotamia and Persia. Garrisons established in the conquered lands, and the Muslim rulers begin to take control of financial organizations.   
638: Caliph Umar I enters Jerusalem.
711: With the further conquest of Egypt, Spain and North Africa, Islam included all of the Persian empire and most of the old Roman world under Islamic rule. Muslims began the conquest of Sindh in Afghanistan.
715: By this year just about all of Spain is in Muslim hands. The Muslim conquest of Spain only took around three years but the Christian reconquest would require around 460 years (it might have gone faster had the various Christian kingdoms not been at each other' throats much of the time). Gibbon wrote: "A victorious line of march had been prolonged above a thousand miles from the rock of Gibraltar to the banks of the Loire; the repetition of an equal space would have carried the Saracens to the confines of Poland and the Highlands of Scotland; the Rhine is not more impassable than the Nile or Euphrates, and the Arabian fleet might have sailed without a naval combat into the mouth of the Thames. 
911: Muslims control all the passes in the Alps between France and Italy, cutting off passage between the two countries.
916: A combined force of Greek and German emperors and Italian city-states defeat Muslim invaders at Garigliano, putting Muslim raids in Italy to an end.  

Today we are fighting ISIS whose goal is to establish again a Muslim worldwide caliphate.  The Christian establishments seem to be viewing their days through the new Muslim view which is prevailing in such international institutions as UNESCO.  We notice this the most in their Jerusalem Declaration   which ignores our Jewish historical facts.  

There is also the Venice Declaration of 1980 that was issued by the European Community which tried to force Israel to survive in a smaller segment of Israel than had been promised which wanted the tiny state, after being attacked from 1947-49, 1956, and 1967 and again in 1973 to go back to the original time out borders after surviving all these attacks!  I'm afraid that the Europeans were pacifying the Arab League with it, something I've also seen the Pope do by fawning over Jordan on his visit and ignoring Israel.   These Europeans were trying to make nice with the Arabs who had been angered by the peace treaty between Israel and Egypt in 1979.  We saw the holy sites of Jews and even the survival necessities of Israel sacrificed by the European Community in exchange for petrodollars.  As they say, money speaks louder than truth.  Whatever they learned in their churches about right and wrong were ignored for that all-mighty paper dollar or Euro, whatever they were bargaining for.   

It must be remembered that the Arabs calling themselves the Palestinian Arabs, were never a people.  They were a hodgepodge of Arabs from the surrounding lands of israel since there never was a country or state called Palestine.  The only thing that binds them together is their Arabic language.  Before May 14, 1948, many called themselves the Syrian Palestinians.  

I'm afraid that UNESCO has set out to islamize Jerusalem and to delegitimize the State of Israel in this Venice declaration.  The European Union has continued to view this as valid.  Though Great Britain probably has economic reasons to pull out of this Union, it's one less country attacking Israel with it.

No connection between the Temple Mount and Judaism?  They dismiss 

all our history? Islam is a newcomer, as Mohammad died in 632 CE, and the

It's called The Temple Mount because Solomon's Temple stood here and was built in his time.(961-920 BCE).  Solomon was the son of King David who ruled from 1010 to 970 BCE.

Jews and Muslims  alike share Abraham as the father of their people.   The 3 important people of the Jewish history were Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. 

The Jewish religion originated with Abraham's grandson, Jacob whose father was Isaac, brother of Ishmael who is said to be the father of the Arab people.  Being Islam wasn't created until by Mohammad (570-632) they acquired their historical stories through hearing Jewish stories first, and have Abraham sacrificing their son, Ishmael. Judaism and Islam are separated by 2, 600 years!  
                                                                        

 King David (1010 BCE-970 BCE)  made Jerusalem the capital of united Israel in 1010 BCE.  Just read about it in II Samuel of the "Old Testament" or Tanakh as we say in Hebrew.  He was buried there.  

King David knew King Saul, Israel's 1st king, very well.  Ask the Pashtuns of Pakistan and Afghanistan about Jerusalem being a Jewish city.  They know of their history which is that they came from King Saul's tribe of Benjamin and are part of our 10 Lost Tribes that the Assyrians kidnapped and took as Israel's assets-prizes to be used as slaves or sold into captivity. Their government voted for this terrible resolution?  He or she must not have been a Pashto, then. 
                                                                     

King David's son, King Solomon ((61-920 BCE) , built our Temple on the original  threshing floor because of its historic value to our history.  After it was destroyed by the Babylonians in 597 and 586 BCE, the Jews were returned from Persia 40 years later and rebuilt it where it stood on the threshing floor until 70 CE when the Romans destroyed it and took the city.

Not only do Israelis have to be on constant guard for attacks from enemies surrounding them, but are attacked by the very institution that helped to create them in the first place!  it's another form of infanticide!  The parent is trying to kill their own creation, their child, and a teeny one at that.  In ancient Rome, they did things like that when they had an emperor like Nero and Caligula.  Jews were the parents of Christianity which was started by Jews, and here we are again.
