Legal Facts Verifying Israel's Legitimacy And Right To Be

 Nadene Goldfoot

Praying at the Wall on the Temple Mount, a picture showing the various styles of Jews;  orthodox not serving in the army and orthodox serving in the army-different levels of practicing one's faith.  Most citizens are living in Israel because of their Jewish faith which can be at any level, but Israel means something to them in their soul.  Otherwise they'd never bother to make aliyah and live there among all the enemies.

Let's start with the bare facts.  Jews are an indigenous people of Palestine.  There's not another nation in on the face of this earth that has proof of being as old a people as they are from the same land they now live in.  Jews being on the Land go back to Moses and Joshua entering Canaan.  Moses died (Jewish date) in 1271 BCE just outside of Canaan, so Joshua led the Exodus to their Promised Land.  That was a good 3,294 years ago.  Their history is all vetted in the Torah (Old Testament), said to be 1st hand account by Moses himself.  Their very first king was Saul, born before 1010 BCE when David, 2nd king,  ruled. David ruled 3,033 years ago so Saul was about 3,060 years ago.  The Romans drove them out in 70 when they burned down Jerusalem and the Temple, and said they'd kill any who returned.

This happened when many of the world's population were mutating from Neanderthals to Homo Sapiens, while those Jews had already been in existence a few thousand years already in Mesopotamia, reading and writing and debating,  descendants of Abraham and had spent 400 years in Egypt -most of which in slavery already. This is why Jews were invited into other countries;  Jews were literate people, they could read, write and were good in math; a treasure to have so that counties could trade and do business with other countries.  Their own people were not at this level at all.

Edomites, Moabites, Ammonites, Aramaeanites, Horites;  Nabatites, all gone; assimilated, not a people anymore.

Jews are an ancient people who have not died out and disappeared like so many other tribes.  They are vibrant and believe in life; living, and believe in rules as to how to do it best. They have a culture, a language, foods, and a history also vetted in many other Mesopotamian lands.

USA  was a country in 1776; 247 years ago.  England was a country, say-1066 when William the Conqueror came along with the Norman Conquest.  That was 957 years ago. Their people are a mixture of Vikings and Normans, Saxons, etc. Classical French historiography usually regards Clovis I, king of the Franks ( r. 509–511), as the first king of France.  Some Jews even lived in France before 70 CE, Charlemagne, the Holy Roman Emperor born in about 771, had a lot to do with the birth of countries or not.  So did the Romans. So now all these countries are questioning Israel's right to survive?

On May 14, 1948, Israel announced their birth and had a population of about 600,000 Jews.  That's the number, actually it was 601,730 that arrived with Joshua on the 40 year Exodus.  They had lost 1,820 from the start of the 40 years.  Israel by 1948 birthed itself after the Holocaust of losing 6 million people.  This was something prophesized in the Bible-the gathering of Jews returning again to Jerusalem from all 4 corners of the Earth.  It's been going on.  We have people living in Israel, Judea and Samaria.  We are the descendants of the Judeans;  the Jews.

                                   Lord Arthur James Balfour(1848-1930)

Herzl negotiated with him in 1902 , very impressed by Chaim Weizmann.  As Foreign Secretary in 1917, he issued this Balfour Declaration.  He remained outspokenly devoted  to the Zionist ideal.

1. Balfour Declaration:  On November 2, 1917, the British government issued this document of sympathy with Jewish Zionist aspirations, pledging support for the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people.  The Allied Governments were parties to the negotiations and approved the Declaration.  So did some of the principal leaders of the Arab national movement like Emir Feisal who eventually was king of Iraq and Syria. The agreement concluded on January 3, 1919 between King Hussein's son, Emir Feisal, chief Arab delegate at the Paris Peace Conference, and Dr. Chaim Weizmann, on behalf of the World Zionist Organization.  The Balfour Declaration was endorsed and Palestine recognized as a separate Jewish entity which the Arab States would maintain diplomatic relations, on condition--ah yes, on condition that Britain and France met Arab demands in other territories other than Palestine.

2. The Palestine Mandate:  The British were given a 30 year mandate by the League of Nations on July 24, 1922 which followed the 1st World War. This incorporated the text of the Balfour Declaration about the Jewish Homeland, even recognizing the historical connection between the Jewish people and the Land and called upon Britain to facilitate the establishment of the national home.

The mandate covered the land on both sides of the Jordan River but as early as 1922, Britain divided the mandated territory  establishing an Arab emirate in Trans Jordan, which deprived the Jews of any Rights in the Land east of the river.  It was made forbidden to Jews to buy land or settle there.

British policy towards the establishment of a Jewish national home was highly ambivalent.  At certain times, Jewish immigration to the Land was allowed.  At others, it was severely restricted and land purchase was prevented if you were Jewish.

3. 1936-1938 British Proposal of Fixing Problem:  Britain; proposed to repartition Palestine into an Arab and a Jewish State with a British enclave.  The leadership of the Jewish community accepted it in principle.  The Palestine Arab leadership rejected it.

An undisputed leader of the Palestine Arab community at that time was the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, Haj Amin al-Husseini, who, during the 2nd World War, joined the Nazis and spent the war years in Berlin.

Abba Eban (center) with Israeli PM David Ben-Gurion and U.S. President Harry Truman (1951)

As Abba Eban said, "The Arabs never miss an opportunity to miss an opportunity."

They've since 1967  said, No, No, No when in Khartoum, Africa at a conference with other Arab countries.

No peace with Israel;

No negotiations with Israel;

No recognition of Israel;  and insistence on the rights of the "Palestinian People"-

and may I remind all that Jews were Palestinians too before 1948.  Anyone living on the land, Arab or Jew were called Palestinians, especially on any legal work like passports, etc." in their own country.  Today's Palestinians are not from a country with a president or king or anything like that.  Their heritage comes from an assortment of Arabs from many sources and countries who were looking for work, and the Jews needed workers.  They were rebuilding their ancient country into a modern country.

Do you wonder why Israel feels the Arabs are not interested in making peace with them?  It's so obvious.

4. Buying The land on which Jewish towns and villages were settled was bought and paid for by the Jews, often times individually and a few times by donation money from Jews.

The Tzedakah (Charity) Box: Pushka Power:  a little box or tin can sitting on a counter somewhere. Every day, a little spare change gets dropped in there, plus a few more coins just before Shabbat. When it's full, it goes to a good cause, whichever the family chooses, or to send to Palestine to buy land.  Most Jews in the diaspora kept a little can, a pushka, with coins in it to buy the land.

Most Arabs were hurting under the Ottoman Empire and couldn't pay the taxes and weren't doing well as farming goes.  They were only too happy to sell at very exhorbitant prices, but the Jews paid it since the land was so holy to them. So there are land records.  More often, the Arabs need the records for proof of living on the land, and can take their case-if there is one-to the highest supreme court in Israel-now under it's own problems. Israel's laws are the hardest of all countries to follow as some of the laws are on the books and so ancient; ask any American lawyer who tried to work in Israel. There's Ottoman law, still in use; Israel law, etc.

Baron Edmund de Rothchild (1845-1934) from a family of financiers and philanthropists  of Frankfort-on-Main in Germany where his ancestors lived from the 16th century onwards.  The "House of Rothchild" became well known.  Edmund was from the French line.  Luckily, Edmund and wife Adele, another Rothchild, was interested in intellectual and artistic pursuits and had a great art collection.  They were attached to Jewish religious traditions.  They had large donations from the few wealthy Jews in the Diaspora, like Baron Edmond de Rothschild.

The first Zionist pioneers in Palestine appealed to him for financing  in the early 1880s to save them from financial collapse.  He continued to support Palestinian colonization unostentatiously and gradually taking under his protection all the new settlements, which would have had to be liquidated had it not been for his aid.  Altogether, he bought 125,000 acres in Palestine and is to be credited with the settlement of Galilee and Samaria.  In 1900,  he transferred the management of the colonies to ICA, and then from 1924, to PICA.  In his last years, he cooperated with Chaim Weizmann and Nahum Sokolow and in 1929 at the time of terrible rioting became honorary president of the Jewish Agency.  He's buried at Zikhron Yaaaov -reinterred, in 1954.

Jewish National Fund (קֶרֶן קַיֶּימֶת לְיִשְׂרָאֵל‎, Keren Kayemet LeYisrael; previously הפאנד הלאומי‎, Ha Fund HaLeumi) is a non-profit organization founded in 1901 to buy and develop land in Ottoman Syria (later Mandatory Palestine, subsequently Israel and the Palestinian territories) for Jewish settlement. By 2007, it owned 13% of the total land in Israel. Since its inception, the JNF says it has planted over 240 million trees in Israel. It has also built 180 dams and reservoirs, developed 250,000 acres (1,000 km2) of land and established more than 1,000 parks.  And we've witnessed the Arabs purposely flying kites lit with fire in order to cause forest fires and fires on farms such as wheat fields. That doesn't cause love for the Arabs.  Israel was attacked

5. Wars Fought to Keep the Land:

  A. The War of Independence from 29 November 1947 to 1949:  Arabs refused to accept its very existence, attacked 5 minutes after announcement of birth. First, units of Arab irregulars crossed into the country from Syria, Lebanon and Egypt to reinforce local Arabs in their attacks upon Jewish localities and in an attempt to block the main roads.

Then on May 14, 1948, day of birth, Israel was invaded by the regular armies of Egypt, Transjordan, Iraq, Syria and Lebanon and a Saudi-Arabian contingent.  General of the Arab League, Azzam Pasha,  said, "This will be a war of extermination and a momentous massacre which will be spoken of like the Mongolian massacres and Crusades."

 B. the Sinai War from 29 October until 5 November 1956

 C. The Six Day War from 5th to 11th June 1967

 D. The War of Attrition from 1968 to 7-8 August 1970-never peaceful, with forays into Israel, engaging in acts of terrorism and sabotage.   Clashes along frontier lines with Arab terrorist organizations (fidayun) who was supported by Arab governments.

 E. Yom Kippur War, 6 October to 26 October 1973.  Hit on Jewish holiest day of year, people in synagogues on a 25 hour fast...Israeli soldiers at their weakest.

Besides all out wars, there have been so many attacks that Israel has had to enter Gaza to stop them.

Despite it all: all the tsuris that has hit this teeny country, they have made a name for themselves giving the world some of their talent showing they are a people worth keeping.

Take Off Those Rose Colored Glasses and Look At Palestinian Terror

Nadene Goldfoot
Unified Hamas-Fatah Government-Terrorists in Suits

The Hamas charter goals are to exterminate ALL Jews because that pleases Allah.  Hamas TV broadcasted statements like this over the summer.  One such Muslim religious leader who preaches this and has been for several years is Qaradawi from Qatar.  One broadcast from Ismail Haniyeh said, "We love death like our enemies love life!  We love Martyrdom, the way in which Hamas leaders died!"

Our motto is, "Don't treat others like we wouldn't want to be treated."  It's our Golden Rule.  Palestinians swear they love death while Israel is all about life.   With our toast of "L'Chaim (To Life) ,"  we're not hiding the fact.  Let a doctor tell us bad news and we'll scramble over to another who gives us a better hopeful outcome.  It's hard to believe for us, but Hamas had a formula down for garnishing bad press for the Israelis.  Their equation was that the more civilian casualties they managed to have on their side of Operation Defensive Edge, the more condemnations Israel received from their part of the world.  This of course encouraged more people to lose their lives on purpose, including putting their own children in harm's way.  Israel did everything and more to keep from harming civilians in Operation Defensive Edge.  They went over the top, warning the civilians with everything imaginable, phone calls, leaflets, megaphones,  in Arabic, only to be foiled by their own Palestinian leaders.  Israel had 2 choices;

1. Lay down in their bomb shelters, take poison and die
2. Stop the people and their places of shelling Israel

All the while, General Martin Dempsey of the USA said that the Israeli army went to "extraordinary lengths to limit collateral damage and civilian casualties in its war against Hamas."  Colonel Richard Kemp of Britain said, "The IDF has developed the most comprehensive and sophisticated measure to minimize civilian casualties during attacks against legitimate military targets. No army in the world acts with as much discretion and great care as the IDF in order to minimize damage.  The US and the UK are careful, but not as much as Israel."

Then, on top of all this, I see the USA and the other 4 leaders of the world pushing and pushing Israel, never the PA, into  a situation of having the ancient state of Judah be turned into a Palestine which would be quickly taken over by Hamas now that Fatah and Hamas have united.  Israel had regained Judah, by the way, at the outcome of the 6 Day War.  Israel won against an onslaught of all the Arab nations.  It was a horrible war with many deaths on both sides.  The only good thing was that Israel survived and gained their own land back that the Arabs had stolen in 1948 when they attacked at the mention of Israel's birth.

The Big Five leaders even seem to be backing that  Palestine can claim all of east Jerusalem-paving the way for their plan of taking over all of the Jewish city.  Arabs refuse to recognize Israel after its 66 years of existence as well as their refusal of recognizing the Jewish ancient history of belonging in the Middle East in the first place that is recorded right in the Bible.   I've even heard tell that they are bragging that Jerusalem is their city simply because, according to their Islamic story, Mohammad went to heaven from Jerusalem.  It doesn't matter to them that Jerusalem is never mentioned once in the Koran.

That isn't stopping European nations from jumping on the bandwagon to outdo each other in being among the first to now recognize a Palestine.

The UN's World Health Organization condemned Israel for  "targeting civilian populations."  It blames Israel for all civilian casualties in Gaza and ignore the facts like the deaths in a Gaza City refugee camp were caused by misfired Hamas rockets and mortar shells aimed at Israel which killed 9 children in the camp.

Take a look at the UN  Security Council.  The UNSC president spoke for the entire council in condemning Israel in Gaza and the loss of civilian lives.  They ignore why Israel had to go into Gaza in the first place, and that was because: after being shot at since 2001 with mortars, missiles and rockets which were coming down every day, the missiles became the type of a much longer range and were hitting the whole state of Israel.  Israel was  spending all the time in shelters and nothing was stopping the terrorists; certainly not those providing funds or the UN.  There was only one thing left to do since talk wasn't stopping the attacks.  After much warnings, Israel marched in.  Their goal was to take out the sites where the strikes were coming from; not the people.  The missile launches had been placed among the people on purpose; not something normal people would do.

The UN has also requested an increase in humanitarian aid to Gaza because of their "critical humanitarian needs."  Hamas used "human shields, residential areas as cover and its deliberate targeting of Israeli civilians before the Operation.  All this is of course, ignored by the UN.

Hamas Terrorists

Fatah Terrorists

The Arab terrorists also have the Human Rights Watch on their side.  This so-called humanitarian NGO argued in the article, "Unlawful Israeli Air strikes Kill Civilians," that Israel struck against non-military Hamas infrastructure which is a war crime.   They're saying that Hamas is a political group and do not have a military role and so are not terrorists, thus not valid military targets. This stamp of Hamas being terrorists comes from the USA and the EU!   Give us a break.  Hamas is a terrorist organization, not merely its military wing.  Fatah was originally the PLO, led by Arafat, terrorists.    Look what happened in Gaza.  Hamas kicked out Fatah completely with muscle!

People supporting Hamas terrorism and Palestine are:

1. President Heinz Fischer of Austria:  "Israeli military acts in such a manner that the number of civilian deaths is significantly if not extremely  disproportionate."   He also ignored and said nothing about  Hamas using human shields or shooting from residential areas, or tunnels used to help terrorists attack Israelis with the goal of killing Israeli citizens.

2. Jimmy Carter; former USA President; open supporter of Hamas's interests, stated that the way to solve the conflict is that Israel should lift the blockade of Gaza and Israel should recognize Hamas as a legitimate partner in a Hamas-Fatah unity government. He's backed the Palestinian Arabs all along, no matter what; wrote several books in support.

3. Mary Robinson, former UN human rights high commissioner and president of Ireland, in agreement with Carter; open supporter of Hamas's interests, stated that the way to solve the conflict is that Israel should lift the blockade of Gaza and Israel should recognize Hamas as a legitimate partner in a Hamas-Fatah unity government.  By the Gazans encouraging and helping to cause their own civilian deaths has now given bonus points in the UN and most of the Western world.  In essence, apologizing for Hamas.  She gives them a good image, making it pay to be crazy.  I tell you what, Mary.  You take them as your neighbors.

In 2012, the UN gave Palestine a non-member observer State status.  Now, Sweden and France have granted them recognition.  Why am I not surprised with these 2 states.  Most all of the Western states support a 2 state solution, as long as they don't have them as their neighbors.

None of the western states have had the experience of Israel being attacked by Arabs the moment of their recognition.  Israel has returned to their origins just like Jacob/Israel did and had to face his twin, Esau.  Jacob/Israel brought tribute with him for Esau, 200 she-goats and 20 he goats; 200 ewes and 20 rams, 30 nursing camels with colts, 40 cows and 10 bulls, 20 she-donkeys and 10 he-donkeys and with this was met by Esau with 400 men.  That meeting actually turned out well.  But when the Jews had the okay of Emir Feisal for the Jewish Homeland, the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem started riots and a backlash against the Jews that hasn't stopped since WWI.  The Arabs all say they will never ever recognize Israel.  There never has been another Emir Feisal come along who was as worldly with his intelligence, either.  The problem is that the Palestinians are sheep led by a terrible shepherd.  The rest of the world are also sheep, following right along their same path.

Emir Feisal: For Israel- Hashemite, Descendant of Muhammad and Against Israel: Haj Amin al Husseini of Jerusalem

Nadene Goldfoot

Father, Hussein bin Ali, Sherif and Emir of Mecca
"As a Hashemite, he was highly respected in the Islamic world. His noble lineage granted him the status he maintained in the Hijaz:(Saudi Arabia)  as a descendant of the Prophet Muhammad.   The British recognized this status.

The sherif of Mecca 1854 – 4 June 1931) was the Sharif and Emir of Mecca from 1908 until 1917, when he proclaimed himself and was internationally recognized as King of the Kingdom of Hejaz.   Hejaz was the original name of Saudi Arabia.  The Hejaz became independent in 1916, and became Saudi Arabia in 1932.

The 3rd son of Hussein bin Ali, sherif of Mecca,(1885-1933) was Feisal Ibn Hussein, also a Hashemite. Feisal was the younger half brother of Ali of Hejaz and Abdullah I of Jordan.   He was the leader of the Hashemites and led the Arab "rising" against Turkey which was the Ottoman Empire in WWI by being on the Allied side and fought with the British.  This took place from 1916 to 1918. His father, the sherif of Mecca, proclaimed himself as the Caliph of all Muslims.  No wonder Feisal was considered the major leader of Arabs after WWI.

Because he was the most important leader of his day, the leaders of the Zionist movement of returning to the Holy Land  invited him to their meetings.  His opinion was important to their success.

He had been sympathetic to Zionism because he hoped to receive help from the Jews in building his future kingdom.  He had met Dr. Weizmann in Transjordan in 1918 and then in Paris in 1919 where they reached an agreement on mutual aid, conditional on the implementation of the British promises to the Arabs. At the time, many European and Arab leaders hoped Jews would revive this small, impoverished, thinly populated region.

                                                   Chaim Weizmann and Emir Feisal

He said in 1919, "We Arabs, especially the educated among us, look with deepest sympathy on the Zionist movement.  We will wish the Jews a hearty welcome home.  Our two movements complement one another."

Palestine was part of the Ottoman Empire.  The British were given the mandate to manage it and the French had Syria.  The ancient kingdoms of Israel and Judah lay in Palestine.  They had been renamed "Palestine" by the Romans in order to erase their history who commonly did things like that.  They picked the name of the Philistines, the old enemy of the Jewish empire.

For his contributions, Feisal was chosen to be the King of Syria. Because he was expelled from Syria by the French in 1920,  he then became King of Iraq through the British from 1921. The other Palestinian Arab leaders influenced him to change his attitude towards Zionism and so he became hostile towards it.

What Feisal is known for is Pan Arabism.  "Faisal fostered unity between Sunni and Shiite Muslims to encourage common loyalty and promote pan-Arabism in the goal of creating an Arab state that would include Iraq, Syria and the rest of the Fertile Crescent."

Feisal's health was failing.  "In July 1933, right before his death, Faisal went to London where he expressed his alarm at the current situation of Arabs that resulted from the Arab-Jewish conflict and the increased Jewish immigration to Palestine, as the Arab political, social, and economic situation was declining. He asked the British to limit Jewish migration and land sales. The British went overboard in keeping Jews out which was going against the mandate they had been given; to see to it that the Jews had their homeland.
King Faisal died on 8 September 1933, at the age of 48. The official cause of death was a heart attack while he was staying in Bern, Switzerland, for his general medical checkup

King Hussein, born in 1935, was the king of Jordan.  He succeeded to the throne in 1952.  His son, Abdullah II,  is now King of Jordan.

The Jordanian monarchy was set up in 1921, with the help of Britain. The sons of Sherif Hussein ibn Ali were set up as kings of Iraq and Jordan. In Jordan, Abdullah I, 2nd of the 3 sons of the sherif of Mecca,  was made Emir of Transjordan, a post he held from 11 April 1921 until Transjordan was granted independence on 25 May 1946 as the Hashemite Kingdom of Transjordan. Abdullah was crowned the country's first king. He was the half-brother of Emir Feisal.  The country's name was shortened to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan on 3 April 1949.
The Hashemite dynasty originates in the Hejaz, which is now part of Saudi Arabia.

"Haj Muhammad Amin al-Husseini (1893-1974)was born to the wealthy, prominent and a devout Muslim Husseini family in 1893 in Jerusalem. His father was Tahir al-Husayni (1842-1908), also the Mufti of Jerusalem.  The family was the most powerful and influential clans of the Ottoman Province, with his grandfather Mustafa and half-brother Kamal both being the muftis of Jerusalem. Husseini attended Al-Azhar University of Cairo and studied Islamic philosophy, carrying on his family tradition. Husseini received the honorary title of ‘Haj’ on his pilgrimage to Mecca in 1913." During WWI and the fight against the Ottoman Empire with the British he was just an artillery officer.  He returned to Jerusalem and was incensed to find that new Jews had come to live there and had joined Jews already there.  He feared that the Arabs would be expelled with this incoming tide of immigrants.

This Palestinian leader, Haj Mohammed Amin al-Husseini,  was against the Jews' return as it spoiled his plans of having his own little empire, so he repeatedly fomented riots against Jews.  During 1920 there were many incidents.  Six Jews were killed and 200 wounded.  In 1921 there were 43 Jews killed and 147 wounded.  In response, Jews organized defensive forces that would later become the Haganah, the forerunner of the Israel Defense Forces or IDF.  This type of Arab riots and terrorism happened in the early Mandate Period with the British in control.

Al-Husseini was sentenced to ten years imprisonment, but was pardoned by the British.  Starting in 1921, al-Husseini was appointed  Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, using the position to promote Islam, while rallying a non-confessional Arab nationalism against Zionism.  It was Sir Herbert Samuel, a British Jew,  who appointed him mufti of Jerusalem. and Supreme Moslem Council.

"The whole idea of sharing their land with anti-Islamic nation and ending the Muslim control was unacceptable to Husseini from the beginning so he rejected Balfour Declaration and also the British Mandate in Palestine."

In 1929 more massacres were instigated by Haj Amin al-Husseini.  Mobs attacked Jews in Jerusalem, Safed, Jaffa and Kfar Darom, a kibbutz in the Gaza Strip.  Hebron, which was a Jewish community for centuries, was destroyed and 67 Jews were slaughtered there.  British authorities reported the incidents of rape, torture, beheadings of babies and mutilation.  The British High Commissioner, John Chancellor, wrote, "I do not think that history records many worse horrors in the last few hundred years."  135 Jews were killed and 350 were maimed or wounded in these riots.  This was also the year of the stock market crash in the USA.  The whole world was going through an economic crisis.

“Fuhrer of the Arabic World: Haj Amin al-Husseini and Hitler

With the support of Nazi Germany, Haj Amin al-Husseini led a 3 year rebellion against the British, the Jews and his political opponents to force an end to Jewish immigration and land purchases.  An estimated 415 Jews, 200 Britons and 5,000 Arabs were killed from 1936 to 1939, which was the era that the Nazi party was changing the world and taking over.  By 1939, only one ship was able to leave Germany with Jews heading for the USA and safety.

It was in 1936 that he organized the Palestine disturbances for which he was sentenced to exile in 1937 where he fled to Lebanon and was in the coup in Iraq during WWII before he went to Europe where he assisted Hitler and was largely responsible for the liquidation of the Jews in the Moslem areas of Bosnia.  In 1946 he escaped to Egypt.  After 1948 he set up a short-lived "Palestine Government" in Gaza and later in Cairo.

Husseini influenced  "Anwar Sadat, Gamal Abdul Nasser and Yasser Arafat. Yasser Arafat met Grand Mufti while he was still young. He became his role model and a mentor and also involved Arafat in his cover network."  "One can say that Haj Amin was the father of Arab nationalism and the only reason he is not revered as much in Palestine today is because “he did not succeed in destroying the Jews and Israel”."  He died in Beirut, Lebanon on July 4, 1974.

A note on religion of Husseini clan:  Husayni (Arabicالحسيني‎ also spelled Husseini) is the name of a prominent Palestinian Arab clan formerly based in Jerusalem, which claims descent from Husayn ibn Ali (the son of Ali).
The Husaynis follow the Hanafi school of Sunni Islam, in contrast to the Shafi school followed by most of the Arab Muslim population of Palestine.  Mustafa was the mayor of Jerusalem.  Shafi Islam is also followed by Indonesia, Egypt, Malaysia, some of Yemen, Somalia, Jordan, Djibouti, Drunei, and Maldives.

In studying the family line, this has been found.  "Researchers and historians have differed in their evaluations of the Husseini family’s lineage since the Mandate period, following a political struggle between Haj Amin Husseini and his parliamentarian supporters and the opposition led by the Nashashibi family. Haj Amin contributed to the spread of an account of the family stating that it was among the ashraaf, that its members had settled in Jerusalem and its suburbs since the thirteenth century CE, and that they had played an important role in Jerusalem’s history since the Mamluk period. The opposition to Haj Amin’s appointment as Palestine’s mufti and his political leadership in turn spread an account stating that the affiliation of the Husseini family to the ashraaf was false and that Haj Amin’s grandfather, Mustafa, had attained the post of mufti through lies and trickery.

The opposition’s account found traction with Zionist researchers inimical to the Palestinian national movement, who then spread it in campaigns against Haj Amin intending to mar his family’s reputation and harm the national movement he led. Israeli researchers in recent decades have published studies casting doubt on the Nashashibi family’s account of its competitors.

In fact, they have leaned towards accepting the Husseini account of their lineage and their historic role in Jerusalem, at least post-eighteenth century. Although these studies are important, have distanced themselves from propagandistic research, and have removed some of the confusion concerning the Husseini family history, they have not entirely uncovered the truth of this family’s origins or its role prior to the mid-eighteenth century."

Nazi Goals Alive in Palestinian Hearts: Nazi Plan to Take Over Islamic World

Nadene Goldfoot

What would have happened if Hitler at age 56 had not been stopped in his attempt to kill all Jews on this planet?  The USA's Jews would have been next.  They killed 6 million Jews.  The fact is that  the goals of the Nazis are still alive and well.  The movement didn't die with Hitler (April 20, 1889-April 30, 1945) .

Aleppo, Syria on March 8, 1920 when King Faisal I became King of Syria and the event was celebrated with a military parade.

We had knowledge of the Arab-Nazi connection when Haj Mohammed Effendi Amin el-Husseini/Husayni went to Germany to speak with Hitler.  He was a leader of the Arabs in Jerusalem who was highly offended when Abdullah was willing to accept Jews into the Middle East.  Abdullah, ggrandfather of the King of Jordan,  saw the benefits of having these very distant Jewish cousins there and okayed their goal.  But not Hussaynei.  He went to Damascus, Syria as a supporter of the Arab Kingdom of Syria.  The rule of the Arab Hashemites in Damascus fell apart and he had taken a position on pan-Arabism.  He reversed that to local nationalism for the Palestinian Arabs and moved back to Jerusalem.  He then worked from 1920 to create an independent Palestine Arab state so actively opposed Zionism.  He did this by being the leader of a very violent riot and was sentenced to 10 years in prison, but pardoned by the British.  From 1921 to 1937, al-Husseini was the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, promoting Islam and being against Zionism.

During the WWII he collaborated with both Nazi Germany and Fascist Italy, meeting Adolf  Hitler and asked him to back Arab independence.  He was promised the leadership of the Arabs after Germany had driven out the British.  He even helped recruit Muslims for the Waffen-SS.  When the war was over, he was under French protection and went to Cairo.

He was able to oppose  both the 1947 UN Partition Plan and his relative, King Abdullah's designs to annex the Arab part of the British Mandatory Palestine to Jordan.  Failing to take over Abdullah's highest position, he became commander of the Arab rescue army (jaysh al-inqadh al-'arabi) of the Arab League and had his own militia.  He  eventually was left on the outside of the PLO and lost most of his influence.  He died in Beirut, Lebanon in July 1974.  The question remains as to if he was so grounded in nationalism or anti-Semitism or both.  I think the latter helped to cause him to become nationalistic, as he saw the Jews had become very nationalistic and was about to create a Jewish state.

In the meantime, books translated into Arabic such as  the Protocols of the Elders of Zion and Mein Kampf are the most popular ones read in the Arab states.  "Jeffrey Herf, author,  believes that Nazi thinking exercised an important influence on the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt. But the Brotherhood's founder, Hassan al-Banna, seems to have owed far more to his reading the Qur'an and the Islamic modernist Rashid Rida, as well as his disgust at the incompetent way Arab regimes had conducted the war against Israel in 1948."  "Although Jeffrey Herf's book, Nazi Propaganda for the Arab World,  mostly chronicles German radio broadcasts to the Arab world during the Second World War, it also covers German propaganda directed at Turkey and Iran, as well as Italian propaganda to the Arabs. In addition he pays a lot of attention to the activities of the notorious Palestinian leader, Haj Amin el-Husseini, the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem."

One of their beliefs" from Nazi literature, probably from the Protocals,   is thus an accepted belief throughout the Arab world that there is a map on the wall of the Knesset in Israel delineating the borders of Israel in accordance with the divine promise in the Bible: from the Euphrates to the river of Egypt"  They are worried that Jews have an expansionist plan while they themselves are expanding all over the world.  Their maps do not show Israel at all!

Since Hitler was involved in racial identification,  Amin Husseini didn't stop to think that Arabs are also  Semites like the Jews.  This is what the Nazis thought of them.  "Hitler said that the conquering Arabs, because of their racial inferiority, would in the long run have been unable to contend with the harsher climate of the country. They could not have kept down the more vigorous natives, so that ultimately not Arabs but Islamized Germans could have stood at the head of this Mohammedan Empire."  Naturally, Hitler didn't care about religion, only race since his moral compass had completely shattered.  This is a quote from Albert Speer's book,  Inside the Third Reich.

Now we have seen the Nazi flag fly  by a group of Palestinian Arabs near Hebron over the road between Halhaul and Etzion Bloc.  The IDF soldiers couldn't  take it down because it was so high up.  This was the 2nd time this group has done this.  The first time was in May over Highway 60.   This is telling us that their goal to wipe out all Jews and take over Israel comes from this original belief.  It's the same goal of the Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas.

What Hamas does is glorify terrorists and the act of terror itself, absolutely opposite of the ethics of the Jewish belief and of the USA.  4,000 years ago when the Israelites started to rejoice when the Egyptian soldiers were drowning in the sea as they chased after them, Moses told them to cut it out.  He said that the enemies were children of G-d as well as they were and we could not be happy about this.  So it's become inbred in us not to react like they are, and their behavior is an anathema to us.

In their culture which starts in their schools, they honor the worst killers.  They are giving approval to murder and enticing future terrorists by showing them they will be glorified and honor if they succeed.  It's their ticket to fame.  To be so honored, the ones who kill the most people are the #1 on their hit parade.  Abd al Baseet Udeh killed 30 at a Passover seder.  It was a massacre.  This guy got a soccer tournament for 14 year olds named for him.  Dalal Mughrabi was a bus hijacker in 1978 which was the most lethal terror attack in Israel's history.  She and others killed 37 civilians of which 12 were children.  She has had summer camps, schools, graduation ceremonies and sporting events named for her.  The list goes on and on.  Only the murderers get such honor in their society.

Isn't it the most ironic thing on this planet that the world is backing such people to live right next door to us?  People who tried to exterminate us in the Holocaust are being followed by Arabs trying to do the same thing.  They have selected such behavior as part of their ethics.  It's become another replacement theory, replacing any good moral conduct they may have had  from Islam for such hatred and slaughter and admiring their results.  Evidently the rest of the world feels the same way to not speak out about it.  They only complain when Israel builds a protective wall to defend their civilians from such murderers if it inconveniences them in their travels to find their victims.

The Grand Mufti of Jerusalem and Stanley Goldfoot, Chief of Intelligence of Lehi: Two Men of Jerusalem

Nadene Goldfoot

Grand Mufti of Jerusalem meeting with Hitler November 1941
Haj Mohammed Amin al-Husseini was born in 1893 and died in 1974.  He was appointed the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem by the Jewish British High commissioner, Sir Herbert Samuel in 1921.  He was also appointed the head of the Supreme Moslem Council at the same time.  This is when Arabs were attacking Jews in Jaffa and Petach Tikvah with the help of  the British officials.  As a result of the attacks,  the British  suspended Jewish immigration.  They used this as the reason why.

Again in 1928 al Husseini incited Arabs to attack Jews at the Wailing Wall (Western Wall)  in Jerusalem.  He went on to incite Arabs to attack Jews in other towns  of Safed and Hebron, two of the four Holy Cities  of Israel.   Jews were massacred in Hebron on August 24,  1929 for which Mufti and his party were responsible.   67 Jews were killed of which 23 were college students. The Arabs were incited by rumors planted that Jews were massacring Arabs in Jerusalem.  Many were left wounded or maimed.   Then on August 29, 1929, the Arabs massacred Jews in Safed in the Galilee  "The Mufti of Jerusalem, told his followers that Jews were preparing to take over the Al Aqsa Mosque.   Anti-Jewish riots erupted across Palestine that became known as the 1929 Palestine riots. The Safed pogrom was part of this wave of violence."  Homes were pillaged and synagogues were ransacked.  They rioted and assaulted Jerusalem Jews and many Jewish villages.  This was deliberate religious inflammation.  By now Husseini had made friends with Jack Philby, double agent and spy, a  traitor to Britain who was working in favor of the USA and in creating oil reserves in Saudi Arabia.  Jack converted to Islam to please the Grand Mufti, Husseini.

In 1933 Husseini gave a violent speech against Jewish immigration which caused strikes and anti-Jewish riots.  Hitler came into power at this time.

Stanley Goldfoot was born on May 2, 1914 in Houghton, Johannesburg, South Africa, and died in 2006 in Jerusalem.   I met this 3rd cousin of mine when he was  67 in 1981 and he was tall and  lanky with a very marked British accent. We met in Jerusalem at the King David Hotel.  I asked how I would know him and he answered, "Don't worry.  I'll know you.!"   He had heard a speech about the Zionist vision by Ze'ev Jabotinsky, which appealed very strongly to him. It was all he needed to hear before packing a bag, leaving a shocked family and heading for Palestine at age 18 after graduating high school. He joined a HaShomer HaTzair kibbutz and had the job of  picking eggplants in the fields  and making floor tiles, called "balatot".

Since he arrived alone without an entry permit, the British police soon shipped him out of the country together with another South African.  In South Africa, he was drafted into the South African Army, where he learned to handle a rifle.

In 1936 Goldfoot had returned to Israel. On his return trip, the German ship he was on put up the Swastika flag.  He didn't know if he'd make it to shore or not.  He did, and was approached by members of the Stern Group (Lehi) and joined  this underground Revisionist Party (another name for Lehi). It was the Fighters for Freedom of Israel Party, a militant group founded by Avraham Stern.  "Its avowed aim was forcibly evicting the British authorities from Palestine, allowing unrestricted immigration of Jews and the formation of a Jewish state."  Soon he was appointed the Chief of Intelligence for the Stern Group.  He was rubbing elbows with such people as Yitzhak Shamir.

At first opportunity, he returned to Tel Aviv to open the first "School of English" which gave him entry into the British High Society where he was privy to important information from the top echelon of the British Army. He was now able to pass this invaluable information on to other Lehi members.Stanley Goldfoot did this with alacrity, under cover of legitimately representing English and French news. His valuable "press cards" gained him admittance everywhere!  This was when he and many of his Sternists were imprisoned by the British in Acre, which is on the coast of the Mediterranean.  I went through it and saw that they hung some of these young fellows.  It was hot and horrible in there.  Evidently they were yelling and carrying on in there a lot.

He was active in many other activities against the British Mandatory Power, while working in Jerusalem as a respected journalist.  Some of those activities were so sensitive that they were never made public.

In 1936 when the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem  was Chairman of the Arab Supreme Council, The Mufti  organized the Palestine disturbances which were anti-Jewish pogroms and riots that were happening all over Palestine.  He hated the Jews and the British.  Arabs were striking with the imported assistance of hired Syrian and Iraqi mercenaries.  This became known as the Arab Revolt.   For this he was sentenced to exile in 1937 which meant 10 years in prison.  Instead, he fled to Lebanon right next door. It was Herbert Samuel, a Jew who had appointed him as the Grand Mufti, who then gave him amnesty.   In return, Husseini managed to cause guerrilla warfare which was supplemented with imported Arab rebels in Palestine in 1938.  They occupied the Old City of Jerusalem.  The Mufti had a plan of systematic extermination of his opponents, the Jews.  In 1939 he had a rival, Nashashibi.  They entered into their own violence and rebellion with 348 dying in the first quarter of that year.  Arab leaders collaborated with the Nazis.  England declared war on Germany and the axis powers.

In 1942, almost all the Sternists, including Goldfoot, had been jailed by the British. Many were hung by them.   Most of them were teenagers.  In 1946, Stanley Goldfoot and the Stern Group were involved in the King David Hotel of Jerusalem being bombed.   Later, on September 17, 1948 they planned and carried out the assassination of Count Bernadotte, who was the U.S. appointed Count Folke Bernadotte of Sweden to mediate between the Arabs and the Israelis.  They considered his plan disastrous.

During WWII The Grand Mufti participated in Rashid Ali's pro-Axis coup in Iraq before leaving for Europe, where he helped Hitler and was largely responsible for the liquidation of the Jews in the Moslem areas of Bosnia.  In 1946 he escaped to Egypt.  After 1948, he set up a short-lived "Palestine Government " in Gaza and later in Cairo.

After the rebirth of the Jewish State of Israel, Stanley  made aliyah legally in 1956. His main goal became his desire to establish a Zionist English newspaper "The Times of Israel", which eventually appeared on the streets of Israel, New York and the West Coast of the USA. For this purpose, he even spent a year in New York to raise funds to promote his newspaper.

In the first issue of the "Times of Israel", Stanley Goldfoot wrote his famous controversial "Letter to the World from Jerusalem", which at the time, caused a huge stir. His article is still relevant. Stanley had a lovely home in Jerusalem near Golda Meier's home.

Later in life Stanley was involved with the Temple Mount group.  "Dolphin, a Christian Evangelical,  seems to be promoting the works of Stanley Goldfoot and another Temple Mount zealot, Gershon Solomon, who is the founder and leader of a group called The Temple Mount and Land of Israel Faithful Movement."  He spent time speaking in large football stadiums in California and other states about building the 3rd Temple.

Both the Grand Mufti and Stanley Goldfoot were in and out of Jerusalem.  They were fighting against each other but most likely never met.  Each stood for different values.  The Mufti wanted Jews out and Goldfoot fought to have Jews in.
