Trump Again With Accusations About Minnesota Other than Oregon

• Trump said in a Thursday post on Truth Social that he would invoke the Insurrection Act if Minnesota politicians "don’t obey the law and stop the professional agitators and insurrectionists from attacking the Patriots of I.C.E., who are only trying to do their job."

•  President Donald Trump has referred to the Rose City as being “war-ravaged,” a “hell hole” under siege by “Antifa” domestic terrorists. The President has also called for National Guard troops to be deployed and authorized “full force, if necessary.”
• In essence, "how bad" it was depends on perspective: some saw a city under siege by anarchists, while others saw a necessary protest met with excessive, often brutal, force by authorities (ICE) . 
• We had Protester Actions: Some protesters engaged in riots, vandalism (including federal buildings like the Courthouse), arson, and violent acts against officers (e.g., using hammers, lasers).

ICE refers to the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, a federal law enforcement agency within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) responsible for enforcing immigration and customs laws, conducting investigations, and managing detention and removal operations. Formed in 2003 from parts of the former Immigration and Naturalization Service and Customs Service, its core functions involve interior immigration enforcement, Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) for transnational crimes, and managing detention/removal of immigrants.

Head man of ICE:  The current "head man" (Acting Director) of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is Todd M. Lyons, who took over in March 2025 and leads the agency's national security and public safety missions. Lyons, a career member of the Senior Executive Service, oversees ICE's large workforce and significant budget, focusing on enforcing immigration laws and protecting the U.S. homeland.           I

It's now January 15, 2026 and we are in one piece.  Minnesota is   under scrutiny:  Trump says he will invoke Insurrection Act IF......Instead, 

• Thousands of ICE and Border Patrol personnel have been sent to Minnesota, with tear gas and pepper spray used in confrontations with protesters.

• Insurrection Act:  The Insurrection Act of 1807, or just the Insurrection Act, is the U.S. federal law that empowers the President of the United States to nationally deploy the U.S. military and to federalize the National Guard units of the individual states in specific circumstances, such as the suppression of civil disorder, of insurrection, and of armed rebellion against the federal government of the U.S. 
• The Insurrection Act provides a statutory exception to the Posse Comitatus Act (1878) that limits the President's deploying the U.S. military to enforce either civil law or criminal law within the United States.
• The Posse Comitatus Act of 1878 is a U.S. federal law that restricts the use of the U.S. military (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Space Force) for domestic law enforcement, stemming from the Reconstruction era to prevent military interference in civilian affairs, but it includes exceptions like the Insurrection Act for emergencies and allows military support in specific situations like counter-drug operations, with National Guard troops typically exempt unless federalized
