James Baker was anti-Israeli.  He sent arms and money secretly to appease Jew-hating dictators;  and he was surprised when the dictators declared war on Israel.  Saddam Hussein, Iraq and Hafez Assad of Syria were copycats of Hitler against Jews.  Baker was being a copycat of Secretary of State John Foster Dulles who did similar things towards Israel.  He served as White House Chief of Staff and United States Secretary of the Treasury under President Ronald Reagan, and as U.S. Secretary of State and White House Chief of Staff under President George H. W. Bush. As Secretary of State, he helped oversee U.S. foreign policy during the end of the Cold War and dissolution of the Soviet Union, as well as during the Gulf War.

Some of the most important people in our American government have not liked us Jews.  The Honorable James Baker, Secretary of State in 1992 said, "Fuck the Jews...they won't vote for us anyway."   He worked under George Walker Bush, President from 2001 to 2009.  After him was President Obama from 2009 to 2016, a president decidedly seeing Jews in an unfavorable light, as shown distinctively in the few weeks before his term was up by his UN dealings with Israel.  Jews traditionally voted Democratic and still do. The majority were small businessmen and my father told me that the difference between the two was that the Democrats were helpful to the small businessman and the Republicans were for corporate businesses.  He was a 1st generation American Jew.  Roosevelt, Democratic President from 1933 to 1945  had been looked upon as a savior of Jews.  The Holocaust lasted from about 1939 to 1945.    About 40%  of Jews, who were about 2% of the American population,  were voting for Republicans in 2001.

Spying on Jews started in the 20's as described in two former spies' book, The Secret War Against the Jews. We have known all along that all countries spy on each other, but since when do they pick one religious group and spy on them?  The USA has done it to the Jews.

John Loftus, former prosecutor with the US Justice Dept's Nazi-hunting unit who was able to get into CIA and NATO archives,  and Mark Aarons, who exposed Nazi war criminals in Australia, an investigative reporter,  call the period from 1920 to 1947 The Age of Bigotry, and indeed it was.  There was lots of anti-Semitism going on then.  My mother-in-law, Brooklyn born, told me of how hard it was for Jews to get jobs in New York and of her personal ordeal.  I already knew about the quota system put on Jews for getting into Medical school.  No matter how high your score was , if the quota of Jews was filled, you didn't get it.  The book, "The Arabists" by Robert Kaplan tells how anti-Semitism was an accepted part of everyday life for the American establishment.  The State Departments had many bigots on its payroll.  They referred to us as :the oily Jews in official diplomatic reports in the USA and Britain.
                                                                             
The Brits also did their share of spying on the Jews as well, and were even better at it.  Harry St. John Bridger Philby  known as Jack and his Communist double-agent son, Harold Adrian Russell Philby, known as Kim, were spies.   A close friend was Allen Dulles.  Jack became a M16 British secret service spy and had been picked out of his civil service job because of his sexual misconduct.

Jack Philby  wound up in what is now Saudi Arabia and was best friends with a fanatical Arab sect led by Ibn Saud.  He wound up passing  Ibn Saud intelligence information that helped them to have a military victory against other Arab leaders who were supported by the British government.  You see, the Brits were in the Middle East long before the Americans by  their holding the mandate over Palestine for 30 years and favoring the Arabs.  Jack Philby was a friend of Lawrence of Arabia.
                                                                       

Allen Welsh Dulles was an American diplomat and lawyer who became the first civilian Director of Central Intelligence and its longest-serving director to date.  He served under Eisenhower and Kennedy from 53 to 61.
 

Ibn Saud, Jack Philby and Allen Dulles worked behind the scenes to put Hitler onto the world stage and managed to fuel the Nazi war machine in the 1930s.   They were the very ones who sabotaged the Jews' last best hope of an escape route to Palestine.  Somehow, they have escaped the judgment of history by playing behind the scenes as spies, for they managed the source of oil, wealth and international influence working behind the scenes.

Jack had recruited Allen Dulles in the 1920 as his agent to influence American policy against the Jewish homeland and then as his secret partner in the development of Saudi Arabian oil.  Money speaks.  People become greedy.  Jack kept Ibn Saud politically solvent with Dulles's help by creating a partnership with American oil companies, allied against British interests, in favor of Nazi Germany.  Jack sabotaged international efforts to create the Jewish Homeland with Nazi intelligence.  Jack was made the secret service's head of intelligence for Transjordan where he met Allen Dulles who was stationed in Istanbul.  Dulles ran networks across the Middle East and had obtained much information on the potential wealth of Arabia and the potential sticking point of Zionist aspirations.
                                                                       

John Foster Dulles , brother of Allen Dulles, served as U.S. Secretary of State under Republican President Dwight D. Eisenhower from 1953 to 1959. He was a significant figure in the early Cold War era, advocating an aggressive stance against Communism throughout the world.

They spied on the Zionists with American partners in crime, the Dulles brothers, Allen and John Foster, who were two of the most powerful men in the world.  Their mother's brother was Secretary of State, Robert Lansing, founder of the State Department's first CIA.  John became Sec. of State and brother Allen became head of the CIA during Eisenhower's administration.   

The Dulles duo spied on the New York financial district, several floors of Rockefeller Plaza, part of the RCA Building, 2 prominent clubs, and various shipping firms.  The wiretaps were crude;  microphones linked by hard wire to a machine that cut phonograph records.   The coverage was spotty because of staff limits and the early technology, but the results justified the effort.  They were responsible, reported to Sir William Stephenson, a Canadian electronics genius known as "Intrepid."  He sat in the Rockefeller building.  Actually, his job was to find companies aiding the Nazis, which was a good thing.  This leaked information was sent to FBI director J. Edgar Hoover who took no aggressive action.

Roosevelt was using the British wiretap team to dig up dirt on his political opponents.  Before the 1940 election, the Nazi (3rd Reich) tried to intervene in American politics by giving 7 US senators and 13 congressmen campaign contributions.   Most of the isolationist wing of Congress was bought and paid for by Berlin. 

 Senator Burton Wheeler from Montana  sent Nazi propaganda by mail using his privileges.  At the time, the Nazis had more money than sense if they thought Wheeler could win a national election.

It's a pretty big shock to find that the information put out to the general public about the Dulles brothers leaves out so much about them now exposed.  George Orwell said, "Omission is the most powerful form of lie, and it is the duty of historians to ensure that omissions do not creep into the history books."  

This happened under the Republicans, the political party we are now depending on to do the most for Jews and Israel.  Yet we have seen a remarkable increase in  active overt anti-Semitic acts against Jews lately harming their cemeteries and community centers.  This has been blamed on present president Donald Trump, a Republican, even though his daughter and grandchildren are Jewish as well as his son-in-law who he likes and respects very much.  Trump was brought up as a Presbyterian.  However he may have felt about Jews in his youth, his daughter has developed his understanding for the Jews today, since she fell in love with a Jewish man who also finds favor in Donald's eyes as much, too.  As a Jew, I feel very comfortable with Donald Trump standing up for the Jews of the USA and of Israel.  His major talent has been honed to be a negotiator, so let's see if he can do the impossible;  bring the Palestinians around to favoring life instead of death and peace instead of war.  Now this includes the insufferable Hamas as well as Fatah; known terrorists.

The FBI were doing surveillance on Jews during what we now call the McCarthy era.  American Jews were placed in the basket along with Communists to spy on.  (p. 187). Before Pearl Harbor of Dec. 7, 1941, Herbert Hoover was busy chasing "Irish Jews" and Jewish communists but had turned a blind eye toward the American Nazi sympathizers.  He didn't like to ask any Jews for help, of course.  Any Jewish informants he had were also spied on.  Ha!  Hoover figured that all Zionists were potential Communists terrorists.  Anyone who supported Zionism or sent money to Palestine Jews was either a Communist or a terrorist to him or both.  If any Jew emigrated to Palestine at this time, he labeled them a Soviet agent in disguise.
                                                                     

James Vincent Forrestal was the last Cabinet-level United States Secretary of the Navy and the first United States Secretary of Defense.   Forrestal was a supporter of naval battle groups centered on aircraft carriers. 

This is the sort of anti-Semitism put out by James Forrestal, Defense Secretary.  He had been continuing a wiretap link on Jews between the FBI and British intelligence behind President Truman's back!  Truman had ordered it shut down on Sept. 28, 1945 when he issued an executive order abolishing the Office of the Censor that stopped the interception of American telegraph cables, but they were continually intercepted anyway, and now sent to Forrestal's Army Security Agency which continued the bugging under the code name, "Operation Shamrock."  No one knew if they were legal from 1945 through 1946, so finally Forrestal called in  the officials of companies asking them to continue as this had wide national security needs.

Loftus and Aarons wrote their book showing the betrayal of Israel.  Moslem crimes against minorities almost never make the press but are now.   CNN did one this morning on a Muslim minority attacked by ISIS.  Americans have had 7 recent scandals;  Watergate, debategate, Irangate, Contragate, Iraqgate, savings and loans scandal and Hillarygate.   Our Western media succeeded in only one investigation.  The press finally got to Nixon because someone in the intelligence community spoon-fed them the story.  They couldn't  go out and find it themselves.

They conclude that the American press hasn't been able to commit sufficient resources to develop its own expertise in intelligence matters and have simply abandoned any pretense of long-term investigations.  Dan Rather said to a group of broadcasters, "We should all be ashamed."  

Today all we hear about is the spying on the Trump Tower by Obama that Trump believes has happened.  It's not so outlandish.  We've been spied upon.  I'm on my 4th book by Daniel Silva about an Israeli spy named  Gabriel Allon who is the hero.  In it I'm learning much about what spies are capable of doing very secretly.  It's called "Portrait of a Spy."  The 3rd book was called " The Rembrandt Affair, also telling about spy capabilities.  A lot is done with things connected to computers, and planting minuscule things.  That's why they meet in parks, so they can talk without being heard.

We know that facebook is quite the spy.  They know from what we type what we will buy.  We common folk have no idea who or what could be spying on Trump, but he has an idea.  We learn that on the surface, Britain and the USA and others have professed to be ardent allies of Israel, but through their intelligence services have betrayed Israel's secrets to the Arabs with the motivation of oil and multinational profits which must be had at any price through international covert policies.  If they have had this practice on the Jews, they might do it on--say ---a president they do not respect.

 If the FBI or the CIA say, "NADA has spied on the president", well, with our history, who knows?  Have we vetted our own people lately?  We cannot forget the mistakes of Hillary and the findings on her computers.  It's these things that cost Hillary her position, not Russia trying to get us all to vote for Trump.  We who did,  did it without Russia's help.  Hillary's actions, and especially Obama's  did it for us.  Trump used his business sense.  He played to the electoral votes.  He's a ham actor at heart, and it worked.  That's why he thinks of himself as a "winner."  He plays to win.

It took me over a year to read The Secret War Against the Jews.  I could only take so much at a time and had to leave room to cry a lot over what our country did to us.  That's why I trust little today. Just like, you can't trust a book by its cover, I now see that anything can be possible. Many people walking around are wolves in sheep's clothing.  They are spies for their own profits.

Who Can Israel Trust? Or, The Work of Spies Against Israel, Friends or Enemies of Presidents

President from 2009 to 2017. He was the first African American to serve as president, as well as the first born outside the contiguous United States at age 48 in Hawaii.

Checking to see how nations and their government have treated Israel is most enlightening.  It tells me a lot about the people and leaders.  Obama has been a disaster for Israel in favoring the Arabs and in being led by the Saudis in his decisions and peace plans.  How have other American presidents stacked up?  Has he been the worst?  For so goeth the nations in their treatment of Israel, so goes their fate as well, infers the Bible.  I have double reason to use Israel's treatment as my yardstick of measuring.  I have dual citizenship with the USA and Israel as well; my mother country and my father country.

Israel's money was on Nixon while American Jews were all for Kennedy.  Why?  First of all, John Kennedy's father, Joseph Patrick Kennedy, Sr.  was a well-known pro-Fascist and held anti-Semitic views.  He invested with the Nazis, secretly, of course and he even encouraged Britain to ally itself with Hitler against Stalin.  Yet, this millionaire was  an American businessman, investor, and politician known for his high-profile positions in United States politics.  Though he sided with Nazis, he produced a President, an Attorney General and a Senator in John, Robert and Ted Kennedy, with 2 being assassinated while serving their country.  .  

                                                                         

Allen Welsh Dulles (/ˈdʌləs/; April 7, 1893 – January 29, 1969) was an American diplomat and lawyer who became the first civilian Director of Central Intelligence (CIA) from February 26, 1953 – November 29, 1961 and its longest-serving director to date.  He was the younger brother of of John Foster Dulles, Sec. of State from 1953 to 1959.  I doubt if either one were ever vetted properly.  It seems these Dulles boys
were pretty much running the Washington DC show.  Allen Dulles's partner in crime was
actually Jack Philby, spy of Britain.  Philby carried on a secret war against the Jews, and had helped Allen Dulles to put on the anti-Semitic stranglehold on the US policy in the Middle East that lasted through George Bush's White House in the 1990s.

Jack Philby was a British Spy and Ibn Saud was his Arab protege.  His friend was Allen Dulles, also an American spy and Wall Street lawyer specializing in international finance.  They were all very interested in oil.
The Dulles-Philby duo covered up a Nazi oil scandal, Ibn Saud's blackmail of the president, but it was Justice Arthur Goldberg, who had served in US intelligence during WWII, that said they were traitors, betraying their country by giving aid and comfort to the enemy in time of war.

Israel's Ben-Gurion wasn't of Mossad, but he sure had a lot of dirt on Nixon anyway, so wasn't for him.

Ben Gurion knew that  in 1953, Nixon was involved in a program run by Allen Dulles to help the Arabs get missiles to use against Israel.  Dulles had Nazi friends and had asked Nazi General Gehlen to send a few Nazis to Egypt, to help create a training force for Egypt's Nasser.   Besides that, Nixon was involved with Dulles's Nazi net-works .  Nixon became president in 1969 and turned out to be the most generous arms supplier that Israel ever had.  To Israel, Kennedy was an unknown quality towards Israel.

In September 1962, John Kennedy decided to supply Israel with defensive ground-to air missiles capable of stopping aircraft, but couldn't handle the Egyptian offensive missiles being made next door to Israel.  They knew from secret documents that 900 missiles were being constructed, and also had evidence that research work was being carried out to fit the weapons with gas, chemical or biological warheads.  This sounds like the situation today with Iran possibly doing the same things.

This was the USA's first arms sale to Israel.  With it, Kennedy promised the Israelis that when the 1964 election was over, he would break the CIA into a thousand pieces and scatter it to the winds.  Loftus and Aarons, former CIA spies said in 1994 that Kennedy should have been angrier with the State Department because at the time the CIA was trying to undo the Dulles legacy, and would have most likely been of duplicity, working for their own nest to be feathered generously.

Kennedy had also blunted Nasser's missile threat, made the 1st arms shipment from the US government, and backed Israel repeatedly in the United Nations.  Kennedy offered Israel a deal if they would stop its nuclear project in the early 60s of the construction of the Israeli nuclear reactor at Dimona.  He offered $600 million for a nuclear-powered water desalinization plant which Israel refused.  To Israel, just the threat of having a nuclear weapon would be the only thing that could deter the Arabs from starting another holocaust.

 Kennedy, as you may remember, was assassinated in November , 1963.  Kennedy had been Israel's best friend since Truman had departed in 1953.  Harry S. Truman, Missouri Democrat (1945-1953) had voted Israel into the UN first.  General  Dwight David Eisenhower, New York Republican (1953-1961) was the next president, and then we had John Fitzgerald Kennedy, Massachusetts Democrat from 1961 to 1963.

Publicly an ardent supporter of Israel, but an oil man.This changed his priorities.  

Kennedy's death caused his Vice President to become President, which was Lyndon Baines Johnson (1963-1969). Texas Democrat.  During his term, all the Arabs attacked Israel and Israel won in this onslaught in 6 days from June 5th to the 11th in the Six Day War.  LBJ did not back Israel, but had sanctioned a continuation of the Dulles brothers' policies of 1956. Israel's Knesset did not trust Johnson.  After the Suez situation, they would never trust any American with the lives of their citizens.

 The Israelis thought they had cleared their preemptive strike on the 5th with Washington first, but they found out that this president had sympathy for the oil corporations and their Arab friends were more powerful than the Democratic party's traditional support for the Jews in Israel.  The American intelligence agencies had betrayed Israel's military secrets to its Arab enemies in 1956 and had done it again in 1967.  Israel realized they were in danger of the massed Arab attack and so informed the USA of their intention to launch a preemptive strike, which the CIA promptly told to the Arabs.  The CIA was trying to impress the Arab oil producers by giving the precise details of Israel's order of battle to the Arabs during the war.  STILL ISRAEL WON AGAIN ALL THESE ODDS, MAKING IT EVEN MORE OF A MIRACLE!

That's why, when Israeli's Mossad discovered this American betrayal that they attacked the US ship, the Liberty, which was busy gathering electronic information on Israeli troop movement and sending it to MI16 (British Intelligence), which in turn relayed it to the Arabs.

.  Israel during 1967 had been abandoned by the UN and were attacked by the Egyptian-led Arab armies.  The Jews had to fight all alone and yet, in six days had defeated the entire forces of the United Arab Armies.  (To me this is clear evidence that Israel was not alone.  They had to have had G-d on their side as in the bible days.  After all, that's why these Jews differed from their American brothers.  They did believe strongly in G-d and their mission was to live where they had been told to live originally.) That, and the fact that after WWII, also a time when they stood alone, no one wanted Jews in their country.

Nasser's plan was for a fall invasion because Soviet tanks had no air conditioning and were ovens in the summer.  By planning for fall, Nasser had time to get his 50,000 men and their heavy armor out of Yemen and move them into the Sinai.  He figured that Israel would be crushed long before its first warhead was completed in the making.  Israel wasn't even 20 years old in June 1967.  It was already headed for extinction by its huge neighbors who surrounded it on nearly all fronts.  Nasser started his massive radio propaganda campaign calling on the Arab nations to unite in destruction of the Jews.  Egypt was equipped by the Soviet Union.  Egypt moved to close the Red Sea to any vessel flying the Israeli flag and blockaded their port of Eilat, a clear violation of international law.  The UN did nothing except to follow Nasser's request to get the UN out of the way.  That was their act of WAR.  The US offered sympathy but refused to give any military assistance.  Johnson turned his back.  Israel said that in that case, then to keep their planes and ships out of the combat area and Israel would fight by itself.

In the 1st 3 days starting on June 5th, tanks were doing the battlling and the Israeli army pushed the Egyptians back across the Sinai and away from Israel.  The Arab air force was destroyed.  The Arab radio broadcasts announced their triumphant victories, but by the morning of June 8th, nothing could stop the Israeli army from marching on Cairo, Egypt, Damascus, Syria, or Amman, Jordan.  The United Arab armies were in ashes.  The British American intelligence helped to give the Arabs time to get a diplomatic victory.  At the time, there were 1 billion Moslems in the world but less than 3 million Jews in Israel.  Any war of attrition always favored the Arabs.
                                                                     

The Six Day War caused the Jews in the whole world  to be proud of the victory in Israel for the first time in 2,000 years!  Yet, while the USA and British governments pretended to be on Israel's side as well, they had been giving all of Israel's secrets to the Arabs.  In fact, wasn't it the Western spies of the CIA who indirectly started this 1967 war that caused all the Arab armies to surround Israel battle ready, causing Israel to pre-empt?  Why did Syria, Egypt and the Soviet Union spread false reports of concentrations of Israeli forces on the Syrian frontier and ignore the UN reports that no such concentrations existed?  Why did Egypt give out false reports in order to concentrate the bulk of its army in the Sinai.  They had 90,000 men in place with their 900 tanks.  Why did Egypt then demand that the UN Emergency Force leave who had been acting as a barrier between Egypt and Israel?  Why did Egypt lead them ALL into battle?  The Arab nations of Egypt, Jordan, Iraq and Syria  had formed a war pact against Israel.  Israel waited for 3 weeks from May 15 for someone to stop the escalation and get them to leave.

He is currently serving as the Assistant to the President and Chief Strategist in the Donald Trump administration.  His background is that of " His working class, Irish Catholic family were pro-Kennedy, pro-union Democrats.  Trump used to be a Democrat.  

Steve Bannon is turning out to be quite important to new President Donald Trump.  His picture is on the cover of Time magazine this week.  The question raised on internet is, Can he be pro-Israel but anti-Semitic against American Jews?  Commentators say Breitbart, which he has resigned from, was anti-Semitic. (See jewishbubba reference below).  I have not yet found enough evidence except an ex-wife's comments.
                                                                       
Israel has always been alone; alone in their religion, philosophy, and has had to stand alone when forced into a corner.  People can say they are friends, but actions speak much louder than words.  Here Israel depended on the USA to be their friend and at the last minute, Obama's office would not vote against 2334 but abstained, which was the same as voting against Israel.  Just like in 1967, Israel is still alone but always has hope that the next in charge will be open-minded enough to consider Israel's dire position and  and not only care verbally but outwardly as well.

1967 When USA's CIA Involvement With Israel and Jordan's "West Bank" Was Routine

attacked Israel.  

Back in 1967, the USA was "big brother" to Israel.  Israel had to keep them informed before they did anything  defensively when under attack.  It was like they had to ask permission before they acted.

For the past 10 years, there had been a UN Emergency Force standing between Egypt and Israel to keep the peace after the 1956 War.  Clashes continued along Israel's frontiers, but the frontier with Egypt remained the quietest.  The Gulf of Eilat was open to ships going to and from Israel, but all this was illusionary.  Underneath the Arabs were plotting again.

Arab hostility and hatred never slackened.  Egypt was again their leader in wanting to get even since Israel had won wars against them from the Arabs in 1948, and 1956 and all the attacks in between.
                                                                     

President Gamal Abd el Nasser of Egypt wrote letters to his co-conspirators such as:
WE BELIEVE THAT THE EVIL WHICH WAS PLACED IN THE HEART OF THE ARAB WORLD SHOULD BE ERADICATED !  This was sent to King Hussein of Jordan on March 13, 1961.

THE PROSPECTS ARE FOR WAR WITH ISRAEL.  IT IS WE WHO WILL DICTATE THE TIME.  IT IS WE WHO WILL DICTATE THE PLACE.  Nasser said this from Cairo on February 24, 1964.

THE ARAB NATIONAL AIM IS THE ELIMINATION OF ISRAEL. Nasser published this with President Aref of Iraq on May 25, 1965.

1967 came and there was much tension between Syria and Israel because of this active policy of hostility towards Israel.  By the middle of May, the tension was exploited by the USSR, Egypt and Syria to produce the escalation which led to the Six-Day War of 1967.

 Egypt, Syria and the Soviet Union spread false reports of Israeli forces being on the Syrian frontier.  The UN gave out on the spot reports that they were not and that this was false reporting that was ignored.  The Arabs did this on purpose in order to have reason to menace Israel's borders.

Israel had launched a preemptive strike in the Sinai in 1956 without Washington's direct approval, and the CIA was angry about it.  Imagine-it was strike or be killed and Israel didn't have the time to waste to defend itself to have to call and wait for approval.  Now the CIA had been briefed from the Israeli embassy in Washington about Israel's plans to preempt an Arab invasion that was seen from their binoculars.  Egypt had already closed the Straits of Tiran on any ship trying to get to Israel.  The Arabs had formed a war pact against Israel and their soldiers were sitting along the frontiers with Israel.  Jordan's army was among them, being led by an Egyptian officer.  The Arabs were busy making speeches, and they publicly proclaimed that they were going to destroy Israel.

WE ARE RESOLVED, DETERMINED AND UNITED, TO ACHIEVE OUR CLEAR AIM OF WIPING ISRAEL OFF THE MAP...THIS IS THE DAY TO WASH AWAY THE STAIN.  GOD WILLING, WE SHALL MEET IN TEL AVIV AND HAIFA.  This was said on Radio Baghdad by President Aref of Iraq on June 1, 1967.  It was only one of other threatening comments.

Every major facet of the impeding campaign of the Israelis was first discussed in advance with the CIA including a strike against Syria.  The US government knew that Israel planned to attack the Golan Heights before it happened and gave them the OK.  Syria, who held it, was in thick with the Russians and was not a friend of the USA.  Jordan was different.  A CIA agent in Amman, Jordan leaked word to Jordan's King Hussein about the secret Israeli briefing, thinking this was good news.  He told Jordan that the Israelis would  counterattack only in the north and south against Egypt and Syria and not Jordan.

Israel had been under USA pressure to not send the IDF into Judea and Samaria (West Bank) which was their eastern border.  They would not do this as long as Jordan didn't attack Israel.  That way, Jordan would not lose the provinces of Judea, Samaria and the old city of Jerusalem that they held even though they had stolen these from Israel in 1948 as they had been part of the planned Jewish National Home being they were the Jewish original lands.

However, as many plans go astray, it turns out that of course Jordan was under pressure from the other Arabs to join in the attack against Israel, so they had to make a showing.  It was only about 9 miles from Israel to the ocean.  A Jordanian armored column could cut the country in half, King Hussein thought.

Hussein then sent Jordanian troops to attack from Syria while he promised the CIA that not a single Jordanian soldier would attack Israel from the West Bank.  Thus, the CIA told Israel that Jordan would not attack from the east..  Well, Israel does have Mossad and Mossad has spies, just like the CIA.  They found out quickly about the deal with Hussein and were furious!  This was a big deal to the safety plans for Israel.

Then Israel found out more.  The CIA had also made a deal with the Egyptians.  As it turns out, the CIA was actually acting like the messenger boy for others because the deal this time was made in the White House, Aramco and the other big players in the oil business who were concerned that American aid to Israel would alienate the Arab oil producers.

It wasn't enough that the White House was withholding military assistance to Israel in this coming war.  The Moslem world knew that the USA was still neutral but still  favored  Israel.  The oil men wanted some under-the-table help for the Arabs.
                                                                                 

At this time, Lyndon B. Johnson was President of the USA.   The oil producers got to LBJ or his closest person and asked if the president could throw the Arabs a bone.  They wanted to keep the oil flowing no matter what was going to happen.  So the White House approved a contingency plan to send the Arabs a little intelligence about the IDF; not too much, nothing that would change the balance of the war.  Their plans fell through and the small-scale contingency plan just expanded!  Only some of the staff in the WHITE HOUSE, the NATIONAL SECURITY AGENCY AND THE CIA knew what had happened, and they all accused each other of the leaks.  

The CIA had had few positive experiences  by 1967.  They were successful in 1949 with a Syrian coup, and installed the Shah of Iran in 1953, but they failed in rolling back communism and in keeping the Middle East safe for the oil companies.  They were failures with Egypt even though Kermit Roosevelt and Miles Copeland had worked on them for a long time to get Nasser to be their tame puppet.  Nasser was favoring the Soviets instead.

  It was back 1957, Roosevelt had sent CIA agents to bribe Nasser.  Roosevelt had left the CIA to head up Gulf Oil and had worked with Copeland in anti-Israel operations!  His CIA agents built Nasser a sophisticated communications tower in Cairo-right downtown.  Nasser took the CIA money and laughed as he called the tower "Kermit's phallic symbol" and kept on bringing in more Soviet advisers.  The CIA then bowed out to let in the National Security Agency.  They had in their basket of goodies, the ship:  USS Liberty.  This ship picked up 2 non-Jewish but Hebrew translators who were NSA employees from Spain and they headed for the eastern Mediterranean.  They were to spy on Israel and betray its secrets, all planned in advance.  The Liberty was a giant magnet for electronic intelligence.  The US embassy in Beirut could monitor all the radio traffic in all of Israel.  This embassy taped the Israeli pilots talking back and forth when the hit the Liberty.  The Egyptian embassy in Jordan could listen to radio traffic and they were closer than the Liberty was.  The Liberty was there in order to make a war map.  The ship could hear an IDF soldier on his walkie-talkie, record his voice and index it on  map.  It's called doing "raw intelligence take."   With such friends, who needs enemies?  It wasn't done to help out Israel.  In 1967, the British had planned to hand the Liberty's intelligence report to the Egyptians!  

Israel waited for 3 weeks from May 15th for international intervention to stop the escalation and remove the threat from its frontiers.  They were all incapable of effecting any change.  On June 5th, War broke out.

On June 4th, King Hussein had called Nasser to tell him that the CIA had just alerted him that the Israelis would attack in the morning.  Again, Nasser laughed off the CIA's betrayal of Israel's plans.  The Americans had called Wolf once too often.   The Egyptians stopped laughter on June 5th.

King Hussein was angry with the CIA, ignoring the fact that he had lied to them about not attacking.  Jordan had also been shooting in Jerusalem before Israel had fired one shot at Jordan.  The Jordanians had also had an air attack on Israel before the war even started.

Israel destroyed the armies along its frontiers and were menacing its vital centers.  Cease-fire lines were established along the Suez Canal, the Jordan River and the Golan Heights.  The Straits of Tiran were open to navigation and Jerusalem was finally re-unified like it was in 1947-48.

In 6 days Israel had won, despite all the conniving against her from her "friends."  Which tells  you something;  Israel as been rightly needing its friends but must rely on itself also, as it has done, knowing it has G-d's help.  And as we know, G-d helps those who help themselves.

Israel's Prime Minister was Levi Eshkol, originally Shkolnik, born in Kiev, Ukraine in 1895-part of the Pale of Settlement.  His father's family were from Vilnius, Lithuania and mother was from a Hasidic family.  He had made aliyah in 1914 to Palestine.  He died in 1969 at age 73.  I believe this was one of the tensest of times in Israel's history.  The decisions he had to make and at the same time to make sure the USA was kept in the loop must have been horrendous to most of us.  He was there at the right time to see it through.

Israel announced it was a state on May 14, 1948 amidst the act of Britain high tailing it out of Palestine because their 30 year long mandate was up, and they were leaving it actually in Arab hands.  They had been assigned this mandate in order to help the Jews create their Jewish Homeland after the Axis countries had lost WWI, and Palestine had been deemed to become a Jewish state, but Britain smelled oil and had different ideas.  Harry S. Truman, USA president, was the first to recognize the state of Israel.

David Gruen AKA David Ben Gurion 1886-1973, born in Plonsk, Poland, came to Palestine in 1906. 

David Ben-Gurion, Haganah leader and chosen as the first Israeli prime minister AND Minister of Defense,  could not get the West to supply the Jewish populace with weapons for protection they needed in fighting the Arabs.  The British had virtually handed the Arabs their weapons when they left and gave the Jews nothing.  The British and other Americans  were convinced that the Soviets would be infiltrating Jewish Communist agents into Palestine as new immigrants that would be soon entering, and of course, Communism was a RED word.  Was he going to allow Israel to be destroyed before it became a nation?

A Czech Jew, Ludvik Hoch, AKA Robert Maxwell, became one of Israel's first and most secret spy.  It happened that in 1948, Czechoslovakia had come to Israel's aid out of all the countries.

 The USA may have been first to vote for Israel's existence because of President Truman's stand, but from there on the country was indifferent and were abandoning her. Harry was surrounded by dissidents against Israel.  .  

In 1952 Stalin's government executed almost the whole Czech government members.  11 of those people were Jews.  Stalin said that the Czechs were plotting with the West to break the country away from its alliance with Moscow.  The accused were working with the Zionists to bring their plan to fruition, they charged.  What then happened was that the Czechs backed Israel, perhaps in defiance, perhaps in feeling empathy.  They supplied Israel with artillery and ammunition and the best of the Nazi air force from WWII which had just ended in 1945.
                                                                                 

 They supplied Israel,with the Messerschmitt Bf-109 which had been built for Germany by the......Czech arms industry!  How Ironic.  Israel got the top arms of the Nazis who had wiped out 6 million Jews.  This seems to have been a miracle that came in the nick of time that Czechs of all places came on strong with help!

Now Israel had an air force.  The first plane arrived in Israel just in time when the British mandate had not yet expired when Israelis were surrounded by Arab enemies, spurred on to be against the state by Haj Amin al-Husseini, the enemy of Emir Feisal, top Arab leader who had been for their creation. This plane and the others to follow saved Israelis and helped them to win their War of Independence.  There were American pilots who flew these planes from Czechoslovakia to Israel  and they saw the new immigrants who were surviving Jews right out of Europe's concentration camps of death and starvation in tattered clothing standing in trucks who would unload the incoming planes looking like they were about to ride to their deaths, which spurred the pilots on.

We come to a time 50 years later and Robert Maxwell allegedly committed suicide caused by problems in his life. He had been a Mossad spy.   He had become a very wealthy British publisher of the Daily Mirror. In May 1991 while on his huge yacht, he fell and drowned at age 67.   .In turn, Robert had practiced fraudulence in his publishing empire when he couldn't wait any longer during a recession and used other people's money.  He was broke and exposed, so may have committed suicide.  He was in debt for more than $5 billion dollars.

Israel took his body and buried him in Israel's soil  wrapped in his prayer shawl.  Many old men who knew him came to his funeral wanting to pay their respects to the man who had saved Israel from a defeat.  He had saved this nation.                                                

James Forrestal 1892-1949 -last Cabinet-level United States Secretary of the Navy and the first United States Secretary of Defense.

His nemesis had been James Forrestal who had died earlier and was buried in Arlington National Cemetery.  Forrestal was not liked by President Harry Truman who he disagreed with when he became the first Secretary of Defense of the USA from 1947 to 1949, critical years for Israel.  He was against recognition of Israel. Forrestal believed that controlling Middle Eastern oil was more important than the Jews and their Zionist reasons.  To him the Jews were expendable.  He thought Saudi Arabia was the most important.  One must remember that Forrestal came from an anti-Semitic world.  His family was anti-Semitic and many of his friends disliked Jews, though they most likely knew none.  He had worked on Wall Street where many large banking houses and law firms refused to hire Jews and New York and Washington clubs where he belonged didn't allow Jews to be members.  Even the Navy Department itself was known for its anti-Semitic promotion policy.  Forrestal had said that he thought Jews were different.  He couldn't understand how Jews and Gentiles could ever become friends.  This man felt indifference to Holocaust survivors.  Allen Dulles, director of the CIA,  was his friend and they both opposed Jewish immigration to the USA.  He kept saying they should all be sent to South America.

 The man was found to be suffering from deep depression, perhaps what happens to certain vets in wars, and was dismissed by Truman in March 1949.  He had to be hospitalized and fell to his death from a window on the 16th floor in Bethesda Naval Hospital 2 months later at age 57.

The amazing irony is that these 2 men on opposite sides of the fence came to tragic ends and both may have committed suicide.  However, Israel was saved. " For a few brave hours in 1948, Maxwell's friends in the Czech government had done what the USA hadn't" .  "They had, for the 1st time in 2,000 years, given the Jews" something close to a  fair fight, that is if you see the emaciated bodies of men recently let out of death camps waiting to be thrown into the furnaces a fair fight fighting for Israel.

During Franklin Delano Roosevelt's time in office from 1933 to 1945 when he died, many things were going wrong.  Vice President Henry Wallace constantly shared information with his brother-in-law, the Swiss minister in Washington during WWII.  Wallace had secret meeting with Roosevelt and he blabbed about it to him.  Doing this was as harmful as giving out info to the Nazis because they had recruited the head of the Swiss secret service.  By January 1944, German intelligence were reading the most sensitive war plans of the Roosevelt administration.  Roosevelt got wind of this and replaced Wallace, the most popular man in the USA at that time, with Harry S. Truman.  At this time, Forrestal was running a campaign with other right-wing Democrats such as oil man Edwin Pauley who went into business with George Bush later.  This was another miracle that Truman got into this good position.
                                                                           

Franklin Delano Roosevelt 1882-1945.  He called for the Evian Conference in 1938 to talk about the Nazis in Germany and in January 1944 established a War Refugee Board to rescue survivors of Nazis.  Then before he died he was swayed by King Ibn Saud for the Arabs and against a Jewish state.  He had been sympathetic towards Jews before this meeting.  He died at age 63.   

Some people have thought that President Roosevelt was Jewish.  Hardly.   He wasn't.    Roosevelt's foreign policy was trying to lock the USA government into a pro-Arab policy in Palestine of neutrality.  In February 1945, Roosevelt told King Ibn Saud that the USA would not help the Jews fight against the Arabs which in effect showed favoritism for the Arabs.  One week before he died, Roosevelt had given Saud a written guarantee.  One of the first memos from the State Department warned Truman never to allow the Jews to have their own country because it would become a Communist puppet in 3 years.  As it turned out, Israel has set the bar very high as being a most Democratic state.  Freedom to rule themselves has meant all the world for the Jews.  Communism was the only thing going to change Russian rule, but Israel created democratically means a different story.

Hmmm.  The USA interfered with Gaza and insisted they vote democratically for their government.  They somehow voted in Hamas, not a democratic society but voted for a despot, a terrorist.  They were not of the same morality that makes up a democracy then.  They were not ready.  Neither is Fatah, so called the Palestine Authority.  Abbas was first chosen on November 11, 2004 and is still in the same position 11 years later.  Perhaps he's trying to start his own Royal House. His time was to end in 2009.

Well, Obama can say that the Iran deal is the best deal going for Israel, but that's really a form of brain washing because it's almost as bad as saying that the king is dressed in gorgeous clothes when he's naked.  They had an agenda to acquire and wound up accepting all of Iran's demands, instead, it seems.  There are too many flaws in accepting this deal.  There has been so many secret deals going on against the Jews of Israel that this seems to be another one in a huge list of spying and conniving one can barely imagine going on.  They've missed another of lost opportunities to stop Iran from gaining nuclear material to make their own bombs and rule the Middle East.
