Scott Wiener (born May 11, 1970) age 56, is an American politician who has served as a member of the California State Senate from the 11th district since 2016. A member of the Democratic Party, his district encompasses San Francisco and parts of San Mateo County.

California State Sen. Scott Wiener advanced Tuesday as the frontrunner to succeed former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi in Congress, in a contest closely watched in Jewish politics after Wiener called Israel’s actions in the Gaza War a genocide and called for a halt to arms sales to Israel. Our senior political reporter, Jacob Kohnbluh, who tells us he  tracked the debate over Zionism and the war in Gaza, detailing how prominent Jewish candidates (such as California State Sen. Scott Wiener) have faced intense primary pressure for their evolving views. For instance, Kornbluh reported that after Senator Wiener made statements calling Israel’s actions in Gaza a "genocide" and urged a halt to arms sales, he ultimately stepped down as co-chair of the California Jewish Caucus following backlash.  The Jewish progressive, who won the Democratic primary to replace retiring former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi in Congress, navigated a highly tested relationship with his local Jewish community.

• The "Genocide" Remark: Following a refusal to take a definitive "yes" or "no" position on whether Israel's actions constituted genocide during an early January 2026 debate, Wiener released a video clarifying that he believed the Israeli government's attempts to destroy Gaza and displace Palestinians amounted to genocide. Destroy Gaza, an area that Israel had given freely to the Palestinians in the name of Peace?  No way!  
• Timeline: The evacuation began in August 2005 and the last Israeli military forces left the territory on September 12, 2005.  Scope of the Withdrawal: Israel dismantled all 21 Jewish settlements in the Gaza Strip and four additional settlements in the northern West Bank.  While Israel handed over internal control of the land and evacuated its civilian population, it maintained (and continues to maintain) strict control over Gaza's borders, coastline, and airspace.  Good thing, too, since 5 minutes later it became a base for Hamas terrorists to attack Israel.  It was a slap in the face for Israel.  
• There have been other peoples moved from one area to another like the Muslim people of India who were moved to Pakistan.  (Muslim people migrated from India to Pakistan in one of the largest mass migrations in human history. The primary exodus took place during and immediately after the Partition of India in 1947, when the British Indian Empire was divided into independent India and Pakistan (which included what is now Bangladesh).  
• Resignation from Jewish Caucus Leadership: Because of the controversy and petitions from local constituents, Wiener stepped down from his co-chair role in the California Legislative Jewish Caucus in February 2026, though he remains an active member.
• Policy and Re-election: Despite alienating segments of the local Jewish establishment with his "genocide" remarks, Wiener—who supports a two-state solution (today rather passe thinking after October 7th)  and generally views the U.S.-Israel alliance favorably—handily advanced out of his congressional primary. Past Antisemitic Targeting: Earlier in his legislative career, JTA reported on instances where Wiener was targeted with antisemitic tropes, including a 2020 Facebook ad by a construction trade union that depicted him clutching a handful of Monopoly money, which was condemned by Jewish advocates. 
• You know what this Portland, Oregon writer thinks about that?  It's the anti-semitism that is driving this Senator into fearing the reaction of Israel's creation among the world of anti-Semites, and he doesn't have the strong spine of most of us who is fighting it.  He's caved in.  How disappointing he is to me.  Disappointing and makes me angry that he has botched up our history so badly.  There's no excuse for that with me! 
• This Left sided Democratic  Senator Wiener who even happens to be Jewish, advanced in the Congressional Primary in San Francisco.  He is to face off against Connie Chan, who was endorsed by current seat holder Nancy Pelosi, after a former AOC aide backed by anti-Israel streamer Hasan Piker falls short.  
  
  Connie Chan (born Chan Sze-man, October 8, 1978; 48 years old;  Chinese: 陳詩敏) is an American politician serving as a member of the 
  San Francisco Board of Supervisors
   for District 1 since January 8, 2021, after defeating Marjan Philhour in 2020, and again in 2024. Chan is a progressive Democrat.
• I'm looking at Connie Chan. She's also another Democratic anti-Semite about Israel.  Need I remind readers that Israel is a Jewish state?    Connie Chan, a San Francisco Supervisor and Democratic candidate for California's 11th Congressional District, has made her staunch criticism of Israel's military actions a central pillar of her foreign policy platform. Her stance on Israel has become one of the defining and most controversial issues in the election. 
  Her Stance and Record:
  • Gaza and Military Aid: Chan has consistently condemned Israel's war in Gaza, frequently characterizing the crisis as a genocide against Palestinians. She supports imposing an arms embargo on Israel and previously backed the Block the Bombs Act, a congressional bill designed to restrict specific U.S. weapons transfers to Israel. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had already explicitly backed a legislative push to phase out direct U.S. military aid to Israel, stating his goal to draw American financial support down to zero over the next decade. This strategy transitions the long-standing dynamic from an "aid recipient" to an equal "defense trade partnership".  Rather than waiting for the expiration of the current U.S.-Israel security agreement in 2028, Netanyahu expressed plans to start the transition immediately.Under this proposal, Israel will fully finance its own weapon acquisitions from American defense manufacturers rather than relying on subsidized grants.
  • Lebanon: In April 2026, she issued a joint statement with Lebanese-American activists demanding an end to U.S. taxpayer money and military aid to Israel, citing devastating harm to innocent families in Lebanon and Gaza. {Does she not realize that Lebanon is attacking Israel first or why they are fighting in the first place; and that it's about Hezbollah terrorists fed by Iran?}
  • Local Resolutions: During her time on the San Francisco Board of Supervisors, she voted to pass the city's ceasefire resolution in early 2024. [Nope, she's not keeping up with facts other than California news, evidentely]
  The Campaign and PAC Controversy:
  Chan's foreign policy views generated significant late-breaking controversy just ahead of the June 2026 primary election. Although she pledged not to accept direct donations from the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), journalists uncovered a super PAC network (Pro-Choice Majority Action) backing her campaign. This PAC spent nearly half a million dollars supporting her candidacy and received hundreds of thousands of dollars from AIPAC-aligned super PACs.  AIPAC stands for the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, which is the largest and one of the most influential pro-Israel lobbying groups in the United States. It is a bipartisan, grassroots organization that advocates for strong U.S.-Israel relations
  The Response:
  Chan's campaign pushed back heavily against this revelation, stating in a release reported by J. Weekly that the funds were given to independent entities, not her campaign, and urged any group supporting her to respect her values and reject pro-Israel PAC money. Nevertheless, the situation was weaponized by progressive opponents like Saikat Chakrabarti.

From Jews Don't Exist to Exodus From Slavery

                                A mixture of us Jews living in Israel from all corners of Earth

We Jews are unlike any others in history.  We certainly are not known to Muslims who have been told an opposing story of our lives.  Many don't believe there ever were such people as Jews.   We've been isolated from others;  our choice and everyone else's choice, too, not wanting to marry a Jew.   Geneticists love to study us.  We're a small group, 0.02% of world population;  2% of USA's population, about 14 million of us, total.                                                      

 Amal Saad-Ghorayeb, a Lebanese writer and political analyst, devoted a chapter of her book Hizbu'llah: Politics and Religion to an analysis of Hezbollah's anti-Jewish beliefs. She argues that although Zionism has influenced Hezbollah's anti-Judaism, "it is not contingent upon it" because Hezbollah's hatred of Jews is more religiously motivated than politically motivated. 

Our Jewish history goes back to Moses, born in about 1391 BCE or 3,415 years ago and the Exodus from Egypt.  We started as a family that became a tribe and then a clan and finally the nation of Israel, twice.  We were shepherds, then farmers, traders and craftmen and are salesmen, scientists and Holocaust survivors.  

 A recent revelation uncovered their story of us which is the opposite of our truth.  I've known they had a few things upside-down, but all of it is really hard to swallow, so let me explain,  with some thoughts of mine.

Egyptians are known to only say good things about their country.  If someone was an embarrassment, they covered up the evidence.  It's hard, I admit, to find facts about Jews on their walls, etc.    Israelites and Hyskos were either the same or came at about the same time.  Jacob had made his 11th  son, Joseph, a coat of many colors.  These people are wearing cloth showing many colors and designs.   

 Moses is the originator of the Jewish history.  He at age 80, an adopted prince of Egypt which was probably the best kept secret of that time of being adopted by the pharaoh's princess, had freed the 600,000 slaves, descendants of a man named Jacob, 40 years before and marched them back to their origins, Canaan.  Jacob later took the name of Israel after wrestling with a heavenly emissary when returning home after a 20 year absence. Israel means, Wrestled With G-d.    Those people were the first Jews, named for Judah, a state in the empire of Israel. Babies were to be killed, so this Jewish mother hid her Moses in a basket and set him in the Nile River where the barren Princess found him.  

Moses had learned a lot being a Prince of Egypt, grandson of a pharaoh.  He learned how to move an army, and used that knowledge to move this mass of people.  He kept them in their tribes which they also had been able to do living in Egypt the past 400 years as slaves.

When they were on the march of the Exodus, they had flag-bearers holding high their banners showing the name of their tribe, one of the 12 which were originally Jacob's  sons (Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, and Zebulah),  6 sons and a daughter, Dinah to Leah, 2 sons to Leah's sister, Rachel- Joseph and Benjamin, 2 to each of the sisters' handmaidens-Zilpah-Gad and Asher; and Bilhah-Dan and Naphtali.  This original group were migrating across the land for 40 years.  Moses started at age 80 and arrived outside the walls of Canaan at 120 years of age.

That means that if a baby was born at the beginning of the Exodus, he was 40 upon arrival. A 10 year old arrived at age 50.  the 20 year old mother would be 60.  Moses took a census at the beginning of this journey and at the end:

Reuben's tribe  had 46,500 and at the end of the journey had       43,730, losing   2,770.  

Simeon            had 59,300 and  at the end                                    22,200, losing 37,100

Levi                not counted as didn't inherit any land-Cohens will come from them; to live with siblings

Judah              had 74,600 and at the end of the journey had 76,500, gaining 1,900

Issachar          had 54,400 and at the end of the journey had 64,300, gaining 9,900

Zebulun         had 57,400 and at the end of the journey had 60,500, gaining 3,100

Dan               had 62,700 and at the end of the journey had 64,400, gaining 1,700

Naphtali       had 53,400 and at the end of the journey had       45,400,    losing 8,000

Gad             had 45,650 and at the end of the journey had        40,500,    losing 5,150

Asher          had 41,500 and at the end of the journey had 53,400, gaining 11,900

Ephraim     had 40,500 and at the end of the journey had        32,500,     losing 8,000

Manasseh   had 32,200 and at the   end of the journey had 52,700,  gaining 20,500

Benjamin   had 35,400 and at the end of the journey had 45,600,  gaining 10,200

Moses was able to speak with the leaders of each group, with their elders, to glean the history from each of their people which was handed down orally from Abraham's day of  about 1948 BCE to Moses who was born in 1391 BCE, a difference of 557 years.  It most likely was told to the tribes orally in sing-song chants to help the memory, as being slaves, could not read or write in any language.  That was what Moses was able to do, read and write being the Prince of Egypt.  Moses also received help from G-d, the incentive to write all the history down, and to be able to include it in his memory.

For 40 years, these some 600,000 received an education all the time, as if they had been in a college class, graduating every 4 years, 10 times over and over and over again.  They eventually learned the 613 laws that Moses dictated to them.  They lived through near-death experiences edged into their memory banks, never to be forgotten, such as earthquakes, attacks by  the Amalakites, on their quest to arrive in Canaan.  They were chased by the Egyptian army after being allowed to leave, forcing all to enter the Red Sea with the soldiers being drowned in it while the slaves were able to escape.  

                                                                   

The whole story of the Jewish people is in the Torah, or 5 Books of Moses.  The Torah is also copied into the beginning of a thicker book, people call the OLD TESTAMENT, and Jews call  TANAKH, which includes other writings finished up until the time the Christians start their book, NEW TESTAMENT, which contains writings, many years after the death of their originator, Jesus Christ.  Islam didn't start until after Mohammad, born in 570 AD (CE to Jews) had died in 632 AD (CE).  Each book is based on the teaching of Moses but interpreted in different ways.  In both cases, their intention is to replace Judaism; to be the religion meant for their people only.  It became a competition among religions; and competing for power.  

The stories read like a soap opera with people who have similar problems we have had today.  Much reads like an army manual, telling of the wars fought. Mistakes made are written about so as not to be repeated.   In the Tanakh, as asides, interpretations, impressions are addressed, written down for us to understand more.  

The Jewish Oral Laws are :  The Oral Torah is the body of laws that were passed down orally before being compiled in texts. It is believed that Moses taught the Oral Torah to Aaron, his sons, and the Elders. The Oral Torah was meant to cover an infinite number of cases that could arise over time, so it could never have been written in its entirety.  The Jewish Oral Law is found in the Talmud, the Mishnah, and rabbinic codes:                                                    

Now, in the year 2024, we have DNA.  We find the line of men who scientists refer toas the Y haplogroup, show that our Cohen line, which came from the tribe of Levi, areshown as J1 or or JS1......., something most Arabs also have but with different addedon endings.  DNA is showing us a great deal about who we are and where we come from.  Most likely we're very distantly related to the Arabs, as our stories about Lot tell us. 

Archaeological evidence is being uncovered all the time.

Finding So Many Anti-Semites iin Scotland and Why

I can't get it out of my mind of a recent find of so many anti-Semites in Scotland! There hasn't been any large number of Jews living there as they have been in London, England.  What was going on?  

Scotland is a small country of 5.454 million as of 2019, with less than Israel.  Scotland is a country that is part of the United Kingdom. Covering the northern third of the island of Great Britain, mainland Scotland has a 96-mile border with England to the southeast.  In 1878, despite opposition, a Roman Catholic ecclesiastical hierarchy was restored to the country, and Catholicism became a significant denomination within Scotland.  There are an estimated 75,000 Muslims in Scotland (about 1.4% of the population), and significant but smaller Jewish, Hindu and Sikh communities, especially in Glasgow. 

JBS TV had shown the findings of an interviewer in one of their pubs, and in the conversation with those there, discovered they were all against Jews, and especially the Israelis. The interviewer moved about and spoke with people in many other places and kept getting the same results.  It was most depressing!   

They were all believers that Jews had flown in and taken over Palestine-a country with a government and all, snatched it away from the Palestinians, leaving them without homes.  They were all pro-Palestinian and anti-Israelis.  They had no idea of the real facts and showed no inkling of wanting to learn.  They backed the Palestinians and that was that, like a preferred soccer team.  

My thought was, how could they be believing such misconscrewed history in this day and age and there it was.  They had more trust in anti-Israel propaganda, most likely from al Jazeera or places like that, and nothing in their past school days.  Since England had kicked out Jews for 365 years anyway from 1290 to 1655 as it was, due to Papal orders,  this propaganda was being built on  anti-Semitism besides. The interviewer was appalled and saddened by his discovery.   

Jews were not in Scotland in medieval days as there is little evidence of any living there in that period.  But, Jewish merchants were to be found in Edinburgh and Glasgow by the 17th century when the ban was lifted.  In the 18th centuries, some Jews studied medicine at Scottish universities.  There are indications of a Jewish community in Edinburgh in 1780, but it was properly organized only in 1816, one following in Glasgow in 1823. 

            Protests by Muslims all over, sending the message of "freeing" Palestine.  This type of message, along with what Scots see and hear on the Telly, are their source of education about the situation between a "Palestine" and Israel.  

The large increase in the number of antisemitic incidents in Scotland during the third quarter of 2014 following the war in Gaza came as an unwelcome shock, not only to the Jewish Community, but to civil society at large. During August 2014 alone, SCoJeC received more than 25 reports relating to at least 12 separate antisemitic incidents, almost as many as in the whole of 2013, and Police Scotland advised us that they had received reports of threatening phone calls and e-mails, graffiti on synagogues, and two cases of incitement to break the criminal law. In addition, many people told us that they now felt uncomfortable, anxious, and in some cases even afraid, going about their day-to-day activities as Jewish people in Scotland. Although these absolute numbers may not seem high, the most recent Scottish Government figures reveal that, when the size of the different faith communities is taken into account, Judaism is almost 8 times, and Islam 3 times as likely as Christianity to be the victim of religious hatred. In order to gauge how typical were the expressions of anxiety, insecurity, and alienation that we had reported, the Community Safety Unit of the Scottish Government provided SCoJeC with funding to carry out a follow-up inquiry into how the experience of Jewish people in Scotland had changed during the three years since our original study. 

The Russian Jewish immigration of the early 1900s resulted in the growth of the 1823 community, which is the 4th in size in Great Britain.  Edinburgh, on the other hand, has only 600.  There were also smaller communities in Aberdeen and Dundee.  The Jewish population in 1990 was 12,000.  According to the 2011 census, 5,887 Jews lived in Scotland; a decline of 8.7% from the 2001 census. The total population of Scotland at the time was 5,313,600, making Scottish Jews 0.1% of the population.

4th Surprise Leading Socialitsts : Linda Sarsour

Linda  Sarsour, born March 1980 in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, New York City
38 years old.  She's the oldest of 7 children.  Unlike the other 3 socialists,  she is still married to her husband, "Maher Judeh aka Maher Abo Tamer who she married at the age of seventeen. The couple  has three children, a son, Tamir;  6 years old and two daughters; Sabreen and Sajida; 14 and 12 years old respectively." According to her write-up, she stands 6'2" tall and is very wealthy.   I have found this fact of wealth mentioned in several articles but was in shaky and incorrect wording that was impossible to understand.

Linda Sarsour is a Palestinian American political activist.  She's not a leader in our government yet, but was "co-chair of the 2017 Women's March and the 2017 Day Without a Woman strike and protest, and former executive director of the Arab American Association of New York. "

Linda endorsed Senator Bernie Sanders for the President of the United States in 2016. She was arrested along with another activist in March 2017, when she was a co-chairman of the Day without a Woman protest. 

"In March 2017 interviewing with The Nation, she linked feminism to end Israeli occupation and settlement growth, saying, “ You can’t be feminist in U.S. and raised for the rights of the American Women and then say that you don’t want to stand up for rights of women in Palestine. It is all connected”.   Palestinian women know how to speak out for themselves.  I've heard plenty.  Linda hasn't met many in Brooklyn, evidently.  Maybe her mother is shy.                                         

She's another of the young women in power who is against Israel, and also a Muslim like two others.  "Sarsour, who is of Palestinian descent, has publicly advocated for the rights of Palestinians in the Israeli-occupied territories and spoken in "full support" of the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) campaign. A Muslim, she has stated that she views the hijab as a symbol of empowerment and often defends sharia law.  

"In Germany, in 2014, the Interior Minister (Thomas de Maizière) told a newspaper (Bild), "Sharia law is not tolerated on German soil.  Some countries and jurisdictions have explicit bans on sharia law. In Canada, for example, sharia law has been explicitly banned in Quebec by a 2005 unanimous vote of the National Assembly, while the province of Ontario allows family law disputes to be arbitrated only under Ontario law.
                                                   

 
 In the U.S., opponents of Sharia have sought to ban it from being considered in courts, where it has been routinely used alongside traditional Jewish and Catholic laws to decide legal, business, and family disputes subject to contracts drafted with reference to such laws, as long as they do not violate secular law or the U.S. constitution. After failing to gather support for a federal law making observing Sharia a felony punishable by up to 20 years in prison, anti-Sharia activists have focused on state legislatures. By 2014, bills aimed against use of Sharia have been introduced in 34 states and passed in 11. These bills have generally referred to banning foreign or religious law in order to thwart legal challenges."

I'm getting tired of writing this, but Israel does not occupy anything in Eretz Yisrael.  Judea-Samaria is run by Abbas of the Fatah Terrorizing politics, and Israelis left Gaza for the Arabs lock, stock and barrel, even moving out their deceased that were buried there, for the sake of peace-of which Hamas terrorists became their leadership.  Palestinian Arabs voted them in.  
                                                       

Farrakhan,  born Louis Eugene Walcott; May 11, 1933), formerly known as Louis X, is an American black nationalist and minister who is the leader of the religious group Nation of Islam, and is one year older than myself.  Farrakhan has been described as antisemitic by the Southern Poverty Law Center, the Anti-Defamation League and others. The NOI promotes an anti-white theology, also according to the SPLC. Some of his remarks have also been considered homophobic.

   Her political activism has been praised by some liberals and progressives, while her stance on the Israeli–Palestinian conflict has been criticized by some conservatives and Jewish leaders and organizations. Her leadership in the 2019 Women's March was also controversial, with several chapters and its former co-founder calling for her resignation along with those of her three fellow co-chairs for their perceived refusal to clearly condemn Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan.                                                                                

Tamika Danielle Mallory
b: September 1980
is an American activist who currently serves as co-president of the 2019 Women's March. She was one of the leading organizers of the 2017 Women's March, for which she and her three other co-chairs were recognized in the Time 100 that year.

Anti-Semitism appears where she is.  "In September 2018, Sarsour announced that she would lead the 2019 Women's March on Washington along with Tamika Mallory, Bob Bland, and Carmen Perez. In 2018 Sarsour and Mallory were the focus of a controversy over their perceived refusal to clearly condemn the Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan, whose rhetoric has been deemed antisemitic and homophobic by the Southern Poverty Law Center and the Anti Defamation League. There were also accusations that the organization's leadership had excluded Jewish women. In November 2018, Teresa Shook, the march's founder, called for the Women's March leadership to step down, accusing them of having "allowed anti-Semitism, anti-LBGTQIA sentiment and hateful, racist rhetoric to become a part of the platform by their refusal to separate themselves from groups that espouse these racist, hateful beliefs. "Linda was the former executive director of the organization until stepping down from the position in 2017.

Sarsour first gained attention for protesting police surveillance of American Muslims, later becoming involved in other civil rights issues such as police brutality, feminism, immigration policy, and mass incarceration. She has also participated in Black Lives Matter demonstrations and was the lead plaintiff in a suit challenging the legality of the Trump travel ban.

When Sarsour and Atweh (a relative and head of the American Arab Ass.) were returning from the 2005 gala opening of the Arab American National Museum in Dearborn, Michigan, their car was struck by a tractor-trailer. Atweh died of her injuries, and two other passengers suffered from broken bones. Sarsour, who was driving, was not seriously injured She returned to work immediately, saying of Atweh, "This is where she wanted me to be". She was named to succeed Atweh as executive director of the association at age 25. Over the next several years she expanded the scope of the organization, building its budget from $50,000 to $700,000 annually.

I can find no information about her Palestinian parents or when they came to the states.  What's dangerous is a Palestinian without any knowledge about the history of either Palestine or Israel.  They do not bother to read but go by hearsay and gossip.  I'm afraid that's her experience from what she has said.
