Peace In Our Times With The Palestinians? What Are The Odds?

Nadene Goldfoot

Vice President Pence is trying again for the umpteenth time to expect to bring a peace deal about with Palestinians and Israelis.  My reaction is that we are beating the horse to death by not realizing that the Arabs are not of the mindset to want peace.

Seventy-Six years ago, my neighbor, Mimi Padow, told her daughter and I about how her family had owned an orange orchard in "Palestine" and the Arabs worked for them and were peaceful.  She had playmates to play with from the Arab workers.  Then came 1929, the Crash in America, and Palestine was affected as well, but in a different way.  The Arab Sherif of Jerusalem, Haj Amin al-Husseini, also called the Grand Mufti, feared he was about to lose his powers awarded to him by the British Jew from the League of Nations, and he caused riots of Arabs attacking Jews there and in other towns.  The British had occupied Jerusalem in December 1917 with General Allenby at the head.   Husseini had also instigated riots in 1922 because  the British now held the mandate for 30 years and were going to allow Jews to enter.  By 1946 the  population was 165,000 of whom 100,000 were Jews.   Arabs didn't want Palestine to become the Jewish Homeland.

This went on and changed the calm attitude of the Arabs so much that Dr Padrow, a dentist and pharmacist, packed up his wife Mimi, and they headed to the United States.  Mimi had been born in Tel Aviv, founded in 1909 as the suburb of Jaffa.  1948 came about with Israel being formed out of a small piece of Palestine, when all of Palestine had been planned through the League of Nations to be the Homeland for the Jews, people who had waited over 2,000 years to regain their homeland, homeless themselves for that length of time.  They had lived in many countries, thinking they had had a home and were part of it, only to be expulsed over and over again because they weren't Christians and were becoming successful.

from left: British Foreign Secretary Arthur Balfour, General Edmund Allenby and Sir Herbert Samuel
At first Jews were able to enter the land that was held by the British until they became wise about the oil found in places like Saudi Arabia and realized that England needed oil more and more for cars that were developing rapidly.  Suddenly, as WWII approached, Jews were kept from entering while Arabs were allowed and were coming through with the British blessing, illegally or not.

Khaled Meshal, head Hamas terrorist and government leader, wants EU to release them from the terrorist list.
He doesn't want to give up his terrorism acts, though.
Peace with the Arabs?  It sounds easy, doesn't it?  Who wouldn't want peace?  The Israelis certainly do.  They haven't experienced peace in their time since the creation of Israel May 14, 1948.

Ever since that day, the Palestinian Arabs have been tools used by their leaders, who have wanted the land because the Jews have it.  Their coveting leaders saw to it that these Arabs were to live in refugee camps in order to gain sympathy from the rest of the world.  There were Arab families who weren't duped by these leaders and who remained.  They're the Arab citizens of today, 20% of the population.   Let it be understood.  Israel is not just a state for all.  It was created for the purpose of being the Jewish Homeland.  It's the only state in the world that is a refuge for Jews in a world of Gentiles.  That balance is not to be changed as happened in Lebanon.  That was once a refuge for Christians, ruled by Christians who were slaughtered and have been taken over by the terrorists for many years now.

Take  25 year old Palestinian parents with a year old child in 1948.  That baby today is 70 years old.  The 25 year olds were born in 1923, and have long died  Their descendants have been educated with a historical fiction of a past made with stories of an ownership of land that never existed.  There never was a country of Palestine that was lost to the West.  It was land, originally mostly ancient Israel, taken originally by Roman soldiers who had burned the 2nd Temple down and had taken Jerusalem.  Then later in 132, they named the land Palestine.  It has been occupied by a number of Middle East Caliphates through the ages, but never had become a country of its own  It was in dire shape by the 1920's, swampy-filled and turned to desert, weeds and mosquitoes  living there with marauding Bedouins racing through on their donkeys or camels  on the way to somewhere else.  Poor Jews lived there, many depending on aid from fellow Jews in their temporary homes.  Turkish soldiers patrolled, keeping order and taking baksheesh.   It was the pits, as far as other Arabs were concerned, the dregs of land no one wanted to be sent to, the Siberia of the Middle East.

Arabs were not interested in becoming responsible for creating a country UNTIL the Jews wanted it back and received it.  That old commandment of "Thou shall not covet your neighbors things" never fell on these Arabs' ears.  Instead, Thou Shall covet your neighbor's land  had become the law of the land and all Arabs seemed to follow this opposing belief.  One by one, leading countries came from all corners of the Middle East, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Turkey it was as the Ottoman Empire for the last 400 years occupied the land until they miscalculated by joining Germany in WWI.

The Palestinian Arabs are the mixture of many people who can never be peaceful because they haven't been so ever since their creation which was AFTER Israel's birth.  Before that, they told people they were Syrians.

In my opinion, they have become the closest you can get to find living robots.  That's because they have been programmed to have one goal in life, to take ALL of Israel and to kill Jews.  No other goal has mattered.  They have been told no other teaching other than their religion of Islam.  Many Arab countries have been sending them vast amounts of money.  The United States has been doing this, and they haven't used it for the basic needs of anything, even  of electricity.  It's been Israel who supplies the electricity and they've never paid their bill for it.  They are not using it to better the life of their people.  Do that and they'll forget to hate Jews!

No, they've used the money to buy weapons and the raw materials to make them with as well as to dig walkable tunnels in which to attack Israelis from.

Oslo Accords September 13, 1993 signed
There have been moments when the West thought they held peace in the palm of their hand.  When Bill Clinton was president from 1993 to 2001, Arafat made out like he wanted peace, but it never came about.  He even was awarded a peace prize along with Clinton and Rabin, but it was given out  without testing the waters.  They should have waited to see if it would hold more than a week.

"In August 1993, the delegations had reached an agreement, which was signed in secrecy by Peres while visiting Oslo. In the Letters of Mutual Recognition, the PLO acknowledged the State of Israel and pledged to reject violence, and Israel recognized the PLO as the representative of the Palestinian people and as partner in negotiations. Yasser Arafat was allowed to return to the Occupied Palestinian Territories. In 1995, the Oslo I Accord was followed by Oslo II. Neither promised Palestinian statehood."  And on and on.  Nothing has been reached except attacks on Israel with Israel being forced to retaliate.

It's worse than the shape we're in today with Democrats and Republicans.  We're only dividing more and more with all sorts of tricks being played in the disappointment of today's president for the other side.  Hatred has developed far more than understanding and patience.  These same people cannot get their act together to get along and they expect the Palestinians and Arabs to make peace today!  At least Pence has a better realistic awareness of the problem than previous people.

Bill Clinton and aide, Monica Lewinsky
Maybe we've all been programmed in our genes to see two sides of a coin, to see the glass being half filled or half empty  The trick of civilization is to be aware of 2 opinions and live with it anyway in the best possible ways.  We're still emotionally in the stone age in an era of being capable of inter-universe travel.  Technically we're brilliant, while our men are still sexually ready to grab women by the hair and drag them into their dens.

yet the time becomes closer to their capabilities
La dee da.  I wonder if other planets are having the same problems?  Well, we've reached  a point of being able to destroy ours.  This is the time for the Moshiach to arrive, isn't it?  Life is getting out of our hands.

We're not living up to our requirements as people on this earth.  I think the biggest shock to me is that there were men on earth a few thousand years ago who were prophets telling others that this very point in time would happen.  Gee whiz!  That's more mind-blowing than flying to the moon!  The 2nd shock is that all 3 major religions, Judaism, Christianity and Islam also believe this, but with their own versions, of course.  Yet they still continue on as nutty as ever.  Talk about stubbornness!

The Hamas Covenant or Hamas Charter, formally known in English as the Covenant of the Islamic Resistance Movement, was originally issued on 18 August 1988 and outlines the founding identity, stand, and aims of Hamas (the Islamic Resistance Movement).A new charter was issued by Hamas leader Khaled Mashal on 1 May 2017 in Doha.

Hamas reenactment of kidnapping Israeli soldiers

The 2017 charter accepted for the first time the idea of a Palestinian state within the borders that existed before 1967 and rejects recognition of Israel which it terms as the "Zionist enemy". It advocates such a state as transitional but also advocates "liberation of all of Palestine". The new document also states that the group doesn't seek war with the Jewish people but only against Zionism which it holds responsible for "occupation of Palestine". Mashal also stated that Hamas was ending its association with the Muslim Brotherhood.

That's nothing.  Mashal and Abbas can't even get along for any long period  It's an off and on relationship at best.  This seems to be typical.  The Middle East is a very competitive land, even more than Europe was.  What does Pence think of the new Hamas Charter?

Arafat: The Greatest Deceiver and His Legacy

Nadene Goldfoot
Egyptian-born Arafat (24 August 1929- 11 November 2004)  was the head of the PLO and Fatah.  He had been the architect of terrorism against Israel.  The PLO was founded in 1964 and it's explicit goal had been to replace Israel;  not to live alongside it.  "Arafat was born in Cairo, Egypt. His father, Abdel Raouf al-Qudwa al-Husseini, was a Palestinian from Gaza City, whose mother, Yasser's paternal grandmother, was Egyptian.  Could it be he was related to the Haj Amin al-Husseini, Sherif of Jerusalem called the Grand Mufti?   He was the worst instigator of violence, causing much starting in 1929 at a time when Emir Feisal was all for Jewish immigration and creation of a Jewish Homeland.  No.  He said that "his full name was Mohammed Abdel Rahman Abdel Raouf Arafat al-Qudwa. Mohammed Abdel Rahman was his first name, Abdel Raouf was his father's name and Arafat his grandfather's. Al-Qudwa was the name of his tribe and al-Husseini was that of the clan to which the al-Qudwas belonged. al-Husseini was based in Gaza and should not be confused with the well-known, but unrelated, al-Husayni clan of Jerusalem

1987 The Islamic Resistance Movement called Hamas was created and won in the Palestinian Authority Parliamentary elections by January 2006.  It was an outgrowth of Fatah, the outgrowth of the PLO.

In 1990 new opportunities rose up when the First Intifada ended and PLO Chairman Yasser Arafat claimed that he endorsed the UN Resolution 242.

Israel's enemies seemed ready to lay down their arms and make peace.  Israel was prepared to take on this opportunity and were full of hope and optimism as we all thought that the Palestinians were, also.

Then in 1992 the PLO and Israeli representatives began secret talks in Oslo, Norway.  Arafat claimed he had renounced violence and would stop inciting his people against Israel.  He even recognized Israel's right to exist and accepted a 2-state solution.

Rabin, Clinton, Arafat signing the Oslo Accords on White House Lawn
1993, September 13 was when Arafat and Yitzhak Rabin of Labor Party,  shook hands on the White House lawn and signed the DECLARATION OF PRINCIPLES ON INTERIM SELF-GOVERNMENT ARRANGEMENTS.  This laid out gradual steps for Israeli withdrawals from land.  The PLO were to stop all incitement and all violence.  They were to dismantle terrorist groups and eliminate the clauses in its CHARTER that called for the destruction of Israel.  Jerusalem's position, refugees, final borders, settlements and security were to be negotiated 5 years later in 1998.  That that time it was figured that Israel would be assured that its former enemy had really renounced violence and the goal of destroying the Jewish state.

In return, Israel and the USA forgave their past and acknowledged the PLO as the official representative of the Palestinian people and agreed to give the Palestinians self-rule.  However, the process of getting agreements didn't go well.

Arafat was awarded the 1994 Nobel Prize in World Peace for his efforts in signing the 1993 Oslo Peace Accords.Rabin (1 March 1922 Jerusalem-4 November 1995 Tel Aviv in assassination) Rabin and Clinton also received Nobel prizes for peace.

1996, January 30th and Yasser Arafat spoke to an Arab audience in Stockholm, Sweden and said, "You understand that we plan to eliminate the state of Israel and establish a purely Palestinian State.  We will make life unbearable for Jews by psychological warfare and population explosion....I have no use for Jews;  they are and remain Jews."

1997 was the year that the Palestinian Authority (PA) governed  98% of the civilian population.  By now Palestinian incitement and terrorism had escalated  which led Israel to delay further withdrawals from sections of land.

The Palestinians turned around and questioned Israel's commitment to Oslo because of their delays.  Calls to violence by official Palestinian media continued, agencies and religious and political leaders led many Israelis to question Arafat's sincerity.

1998, October 23rd, 5 years after a peace agreement, and the WYE RIVER MEMORANDUM was drafted to clarify each side's ongoing obligations and to address Palestinian violations of previous agreements to end incitement which had never ended but only got worse.  The obligation of amending the PLO Charter had not been fulfilled nor had dismantling terrorist groups.  Further Israeli withdrawals were tied to Palestinians fulfilling these promises and obligations.

PM Ehud Barak, President Bill Clinton, Yasser Arafat
2000, July 11-25  at Camp David, Arafat rejected Israel's peace offer of a 2-state solution that was endorsed by President Clinton and made no counteroffer.  The 2nd intifada, a campaign of terrorism, erupted 2 months later.  Barak was a Prime Minister from the Labor Party, born Feb. 12, 1942 on a kibbutz in Israel.

2000, September 28-2005  and the Oslo process came to an end when many extremist Palestinian groups backed by Arafat and the PA launched a terrorist war against Israel.  They had taken away the peace agenda from ordinary Palestinians and forced Israel into a self-defense mode.  It has escalated into roadside explosives, ambushes and shootings and suicide bombings.  47% of Israeli casualties were from suicide bombings targeting civilians in restaurants, dance clubs, synagogues, parties and public buses.  Snipers shot people on the highways.  Attackers went into home and launched rockets into schoolyards.  This is why ground level apartments have bars on windows.

Sept 28, 2000 to Dec 31, 2005, 25,770 terrorist attacks had hit Israel.  147 suicide bombings occurred.  1,084 people were killed and 7,454 were injured.  82% of the dead and wounded were Israeli civilians throughout 2000 to 2004.

2003 was when the UN, EU, USA and Russia endorsed a new plan called THE ROAD MAP.  This was used to revive the peace process.  Negotiations on this failed so Israel started a policy of unilateral (decided by themselves only) withdrawals from pockets of land.

" Arafat's legacy has left him highly scorned and villified for leading the Palestinians into the Al-Aqsa Intifada, a war with Israel that lasted nearly five years from 2000 to 2005 and claimed thousands of lives on both sides of the conflict.

Khaled Mashal with ideology of Muslim brotherhood

2006:  Hamas won the elections of the PA with leaders Sheikh Ahmed Yassin from 1987 to 2004 and Khaled Mashal from 2004 to the present.  They follow the Muslim Brotherhood ideals and acted as opposition to PLO.  Israel will exist until Islam will obliterate it.  there is no solution for the Palestinian question except through Jihad (Holy War).  This is from the Hamas charter.

Arafat's  statement of goals to destroy Israel turns out to be the only honest thing he has ever muttered.  He had no intention of pursuing a road of peace.   This seems to be the same with both Fatah and Hamas today.  Israel cannot afford to take the word of Palestinians as the gospel, but must look beyond what is verbally said to what is in their hearts and minds that comes out sooner or later.

Widow Suha and possibly daughter Zahwa Arafat
In 1990, Arafat married Suha Tawil, a Palestinian Christian when he was 61 and Suha, 27. Before their marriage, she was working as a secretary for Arafat in Tunis after her mother introduced her to him in France. Prior to Arafat's marriage, he adopted fifty Palestinian war orphans. Arafat narrowly escaped death again on 7 April 1992, when anAir Bissau aircraft he was a passenger on crash-landed in the Libyan Desert during a sandstorm. Two pilots and an engineer were killed; Arafat was bruised and shaken.
During her marriage, Suha tried to leave Arafat on many occasions, but was not permitted to by her husband. She views her marriage to Arafat as a mistake. Suha said she regrets the marriage and given the choice again, would not have wed him.  As 2-faced as Arafat, after he
died she acted like an unhappy and indignant widow and insisted he had been poisoned by
Israel with polonium  and had many tests taken.  It is assumed by Israel and the USA that he
died from AIDS.

On 24 July 1995, Arafat's wife Suha gave birth to a daughter in Neuilly-sur-Seine, France. She was named Zahwa after Arafat's deceased mother.  It's hard to believe but his daughter will be 20 in July.

Countries Voting For Palestine Are Voting For Hamas

Nadene Goldfoot
Khaled Meshaal-Hamas
Ismail Haniyeh-Hamas

Knowing what's in the Hamas Charter, how can any country vote to recognize a Palestine today that would be adjacent to Israel occupying Israel's own ancient state of Judah with the goal to destroy Israel?  That's like voting to put a bomb next door to Israel.

Though many Palestinians already live in Judea and Samaria, they do not have the rights of a state which would include such things as having an army of their own.  One may ask what the difference would be being that Gaza is about 100% Hamas terrorists already being supported by their Muslim brothers.

Right now as it is, Israel has the right to police the incoming packaging coming into Gaza and Judea-Samaria to keep out ammunition as much as they possibly can as it would be used on Israel; civilians and military.  Much of Israel's energy has to go into defense and has been ever since 1948, their own inception.  This move is putting the enemy into their own state, as the Arabs want to take over Jerusalem, the capital of Israel.

Mohammad's Horse, Al Buraq
Jerusalem is not a part of the history of the Muslims, who follow Mohammad, a recent newcomer to the world, having been born as late as 570 CE and died in 632 CE.   He wrote about mounting his flying horse and arriving at the farthest mosque, but did not name it.  That's because it didn't exist.   Since Islam has spread forcefully, there are many mosques in the world.  Muslim clerics are trying to make out that there was a mosque in Jerusalem.

There was no mosque until  a Roman Temple was built on the site of the Jewish Temple first and after Mohammad had died, the Muslims built a mosque in the center of the Temple area there, which is called the Mosque of Omar and Dome of the Rock.  It was Caliph Abd al Malik in about 738 who built it to replace the temporary structure set up by Caliph Omar a century earlier, making the first built in about 638, 6 years after Mohammad had died.  So their claims of the unnamed farthest mosque couldn't have been in Jerusalem.  .
This section of the charter is from Camera.
D. Arab and Islamic States and Governments Article Twenty-Eight
The Zionist invasion is a cruel invasion, which has no scruples whatsoever; it uses every vicious and vile method to achieve its goals. In its infiltration and espionage operations, it greatly relies on secret organizations which grew out of it, such as the Freemasons, the Rotary Clubs, the Lions and other such espionage groups. All these organizations, covert or overt, work for the interests of Zionism and under its direction, and their aim is to break societies, undermine values, destroy people's honor, create moral degeneration and annihilate Islam. [Zionism] is behind all types of trafficking in drugs and alcohol, so as to make it easier for it to take control and expand.

We demand that the Arab countries around Israel open their borders to jihad fighters from among the Arab and Islamic peoples, so they may fulfill their role and join their efforts to the efforts of their brothers - the Muslim brethren in Palestine. As for the rest of the Arab and Muslim countries, we demand that they facilitate the passage of the jihad fighters into them and out of them - that is the very least [they can do].
We should not fail to remind every Muslim that when the Jews occupied the Sacred place [i.e., Jerusalem] in 1967 and stood on the threshold of the blessed Al-Aqsa mosque, they shouted: "Muhammad is dead; his offspring are women." Israel with its Jewish identity and Jewish people is challenging Islam and the Muslims. May the cowardly know no sleep.

Reading this shows how twisted the minds of the jihadists are.  Let's start with Jerusalem, THE Jewish city, the most Jewish in the whole wide world, not a Muslim city.

Evidently the Muslims are the most uninformed and the European nations of today are right behind them in not knowing the history of Jerusalem, and if they do know, are in such denial that its history simply does not matter to them as long as they get their way.  It does matter to Jews very much, though.

Jews have been in the Middle East as far back as Abraham was since they come from Abraham and his son Isaac and grandson Jacob.  It was Jacob's  great grandson, Moses, who led the captive Israelites out of Egypt, rescuing them from Egypt's slavery of 400 years.  The country known as Israel had been Canaan before Moses and then Joshua led the Israelites into it as according to G-d's direction.

First Saul was chosen King from the tribe of Benjamin.  Then it was king David from the tribe of Judah, 3rd great grandson of Jacob, who was king of Israel and took on Jerusalem as his capital.  It is an ancient center. In the early books of the Bible, Jerusalem was also called Jebus, after the people inhabiting it before King David.  The last Jebusite king was Araunah which is written about in II Sam.24:15.  They remained in the city under King David and became tributary under King Solomon, David's son. In the course of time, they were assimilated into the Israelites.

Jerusalem is sometimes called Zion after King David's fortress, and was also known as the City of David.  The Bible is full of beautiful names for it;
1. city of Righteousness
2. the faithful city
3. the city of G-d
4. The holy city
5. City of truth

The name of Jerusalem comes from the Hebrew name of Yerushalayim.  It is mentioned 669 times in the Bible.  The Land of Israel is mentioned 154 times.  When it fell to the Romans in 70 CE, the Romans renamed it Aelia Capitolina as they turned it into a Roman colony.  The Arabs today refer to it as El-Kuds (the Holy, and sometimes Beit el-Makdes (The house of Holiness from the Hebrew of Bet ha-Mikdash (Temple).

Jews Praying at the Western "Wailing" Wall in Jerusalem
As long as Jews have had to live outside of Israel and Judah, their Jewish Homeland, they have prayed every day to their return to Jerusalem.  They said they'd rather lose the use of their right hand than ever forget Jerusalem.  This is where the First Temple was built by King Solomon and where it was rebuilt a 2nd time when the Jews were able to return from captivity in Babylonia.  After the majority of the Jews had been away for 1,878 years,  they were able to announce the creation of their state again; Israel.  This is something that had been prophesied.  Even Emir Feisal, son of Sherif Hussein of Mecca, was all for the return and hoped his own Arabs would learn from the Jews instead of being so backward.

Emir Feisal
Now.  Did the Zionists invade Palestine?  No, they held countless meetings among themselves to organize after much persecution, especially in Russia and the pogroms there, and decided that if the West won WWI, the Ottoman Empire would lose, and the land would in essence be up for sale.  They decided to work hard to gain back their ancient land of Israel and Judea.  They met with Western leaders and Arab leaders such as the highest one, Emir Feisal, Ibn Hussein (1885-1933)  who wanted his own reward of land to be a king since he led the uprising of Arabs against the Ottoman Empire (Turkey) from 1916 to 1918.  He wanted some of the Empire as well, which was vast and underpopulated.   Feisal  was THE spokesman for all the Arabs.
Grand Mufti and Hitler

Grand Mufti of Jerusalem
One Arab was jealous, and that was Haj Amin al-Husseini (1893-1974), Sherif of Jerusalem appointed in 1921  known as the Grand Mufti. He was appointed by a British Jew, Sir Herbert Samuel, which smarts.  Husseini  caused Arabs to riot against Jews and to kill them.  In 1936 he was causing all sorts of riots against Jews.  During WWII he assisted Hitler and was largely responsible for the liquidation of the Jews in the Moslem areas of Bosnia.  It was he who set up a short-lived Palestine Government in Gaza after 1948.  Later he did it in Cairo.   He was a big fish in a little pond, a minor leader compared to Emir Feisal, who was the oldest son of Hussein, sherif of Mecca.

The Emir Feisal became King of Iraq, dubbed this by the western powers from 1921.  He was also designated King of Syria.  He had been hoping that he would receive aid in building his future kingdom from the Jews. and had met with Dr. Weizmann in Transjordan in 1918 and again in Paris in 1919 where they reached an agreement on mutual aid.  It was all conditional on the British promises to the Arabs.  The French and English weren't even in agreement or together in meetings, as the Emir was expulsed from Syria by the French in 1920.  When that happened, he seemed to sour quickly in his attitude to Zionism and became hostile.

The McMahon correspondence, an exchange of letters in 1915 between Sir Henry McMahon, British commissioner in Egypt, and Sherif Hussein and his son Feisal, are a must to look at.  They contain a promise of British support for Arab independence.  You see, they didn't like living under the Ottoman Empire anymore than the Jews did who also lived there, for Jews had never left what had become Palestine.  There was always a core group living there, holding on.  In return for this independence Arabs wanted,   the Arabs staged a revolt against the Turks.

Palestine was not mentioned in the letters as Britain had not yet reached agreement on this subject with France.  This was all conjecture.  The Arab, however, claimed that Palestine was included in the area for which independence was promised.  You see what had happened.  Somehow, the Arabs thought they would get the land that the British had already promised to the Jews as told in the Balfour Declaration.

Sir Henry McMahon stated explicitly in 1937 that his pledge was meant to exclude the area of Palestine and that this was fully realized at the time by Hussein.  Sloppy work, I say, unless papers can be dug up with signatures of acceptance of the plan.  Does McMahon forget that he's dealing with Arabs and Jews who are using English as a 2nd or 3rd or 4th language of their repertoire?  As a teacher of ESL, I know you have to be very careful and very direct-even use pictures, maps, etc, to make a point such as this?

Now, do the Palestinians ever study such history?  Do they know about such things?  Do the countries voting on Palestine's acceptance know about the history of how Israel was accepted?  I doubt it very much.  Too bad the French didn't allow such a smart man as Feisal to remain the king of Iraq, but then, he was too smart for them, possibly.  He did wind up as King of Syria, so he came out of it all right.  I'm sure his line would have been much better than what Iraq wound up with.  Perhaps there never would have been such a leader as Saddam Hussein in Iraq and the mess the world is faced with now, such as the jihadists of IS.

Accusing any fraternal organization found in the USA and most likely in Europe as well as being subversive groups is ridiculous.  The Lions Club was singled out.  This is their goal.
Lions Club International
100% OF DONATIONS GO TO HELP THE BLIND,BUY HEARING AIDES, SUPPORT MEDICAL MISSIONS AROUND THE WORLD. THEIR LATEST UNDERTAKING
IS MEASLES VACCINATIONS (ONLY $1.00 PER SHOT).
These groups have a goal of benefiting their communities.  Of course the Palestinians evidently listen to gossip only.  Facts don't matter.  You can bet they've never been members of such groups, so what do they know.  My husband was the president of Kiwanis, a do-gooder organization.  His group met in the morning once a week and had speakers of about 20 minutes inform them of interesting things happening.  They held dinners to make money to give to charities.  I think their specialty went to glasses for the needy.  They had fun getting together and did something good; charity work.  Nobody asks if the person is Muslim or Christian or Jewish; just if they were among the needy and needed glasses and couldn't afford them.  They had a baseball team.  My husband was the pitcher.  He loved it.  That's America for you.  We didn't have to watch out for some crazy with a knife long enough to chop our heads off.  We all loved life and loved our days.

Trafficking drugs and alcohol?  Jews are blamed for everything, even the weather in Syria.  No, trafficking alcohol went on in the USA in the 20's.  Hamas is way behind times.  Drugs are being trafficked by Mexico today, and let's not forget Columbia.  They are in on it big-time.  Not Israel.  Not Jews.  Next accusation?

They are telling the Muslim countries to allow jihad fighters into their land.  Well, they are moving in, all right, with or without permission.  They're already into or around Jordan, as it is.  IS is seeing them in Syria and Iraq, destroying and killing people wherever they go with their favorite way of slaughtering; cutting off heads.
Hamas Terrorists
So by allowing Palestine to have more power than they already do, you are signing a death wish for Israel. What is Palestine?  Is it made up of Gaza, Judea, Samaria, and East Jerusalem?  Are you tearing apart our eternal capital?    You are cursing Israel.   There are no agreements of recognizing Israel as a Jewish state.  There is only the Hamas charter of destruction.

You did nothing to help Israel when they were being attacked by Gaza.  Nothing.  You did not help Israel when it had to go into Gaza to stop the missiles.  Nothing.  Now you condemn Israel with the creation of Palestine without one iota of their madness changed.   Israel was for the idea of a 2 state solution, but nothing has changed; not their charter or their hatred.  They do not love even their own children more than they have allowed their hatred to grow in jealousy of Israel.  They are people who sacrifice their own children to get praise and the nod from you.   In essence you are blessing their madness.   All I can say is read your Bible.  Doesn't it say something about what will happen to people who are against Israel?  In Genesis 12:3 it says:

"I (God) will bless those who bless  you (Israel) and will curse those who curse you"
God said He would re-gather Israel back in the Land . . . on May 14, 1948 God’s prophetic clock started ticking again, loudly.

Lying in the United Nations Epidemic Proportions

Nadene Goldfoot

The Palestine Government:  Fatah and Hamas Terrorists in Suits

Lies have been told so much in the UN and are being believed about Israel.  The Muslim representatives are backing the Palestinians, one of theirs, instead of standing up and backing true facts.  As with IS today, there are Muslim states who disagree with IS goals, but they have not done so in the case of accepting Jews in their midst.  As long as Palestinians do not want them in the Middle East, their governments  all support this attitude.  This is unacceptable.  It's racist.

In 1990 there were 1.1 billion Muslims in the world
In 2010 there were 1.6 + billion Muslims in the world or 23.4% of world population
In 2011 there were 1.57 billion Muslims in a world of 8 billion people.  Muslims made up 26.4% of the population.
In 2013 there were 1.6 billion Muslims in the world or 23% of the growing population.
In 2013 there were 2.04 billion Muslims in the world

The Middle East-North Africa region has 341 million people of which 93% are Muslims and that's where Israel's 6 million Jews live.  That's a  ratio of 6:341.  Abraham's Ishmael certainly was able to be more prolific than Isaac had been.  Isaac's line has had to deal with anti-Semitism for 2,000 years and such things as a Nazi caused Holocaust that cut down their population by 6 million deaths.  .

In 2014 there are 2.08 billion Muslims in the world
By 2030 there will be 2.2 billion Muslims in the world.  That is, if they can stop fighting each other in their own religious battles between Sunni and Shi'a and Alawite against Sunni or Salafi against Sunni.

Arafat, PLO's leader, Speaking at UN before November 11, 2004 when he died.

A younger Arafat Speaking at UN

Mahmoud Abbas of Fatah Speaking At UN on  September 29, 2014

It appears that the UN is following the lead of the wishes of the Muslims at the UN and ignoring the facts from the Jews who are a mere 0.02% of the world population.  The fact remains that the Jews are telling the truth and the Palestinians are lying in order to achieve their goals of destroying Israel instead of living peacefully with them. It's been that way since 1948.

                                                       Ban Ki-moon, head UN Official

1. The UN allowed Palestinians to use UN schools and facilities as storage and launch sites for Hamas terrorist rockets during Operation Defensive Edge of this last summer's war in Gaza. After rockets were found in the UN schools, UN officials RETURNED them to Hamas.

Hamas had been firing these rockets onto Israeli cities, reaching Tel Aviv and Jerusalem as well as southern Israel.

2. Palestinians, especially Hamas in Gaza, refuse to recognize Israel's existence.  They do not think they have a right to exist under any borders.

3.  Hamas has a manifest, a charter which says this.  Has UN ever read it?  Do they understand what it is saying?

2. Israel left Gaza.  THERE IS NO OCCUPATION BY ISRAEL IN GAZA.  Israel pulled out all the Jewish people from Gaza for the sake of having peace.

3. Violence has happened this past summer because:
      A. Hamas rockets hitting Israel in cities.  Aggression and attacks from Hamas terrorists.
      B. Rocket attacks broke neutrality of the UN when they used their spaces and their schools.  UN IS NO LONGER NEUTRAL ON THE ISSUE BETWEEN ISRAEL AND PALESTINE

4. Judea and Samaria area with Palestinian Authority's Abbas has made unilateral moves at the UN.  They aren't helping peace but make the situation worse.

5. Abbas's Fatah (PLO) united with Hamas terrorists in government, following Hamas charter of destroying Israel.  By doing this they are not aiming for peace; only to wipe out Israel.

It's a case where the UN has accepted that MIGHT makes RIGHT.  Anything Israel does is criticized and turned upside down in fact.

When Netanyahu of Israel spoke at the UN in September, our Condoleezza Rice, former Secretary of State of the USA,   walked out immediately to keep a luncheon date, it was said..  Muslims walked out and were not there to listen before he even started to speak.  It happens that he is an excellent speaker with important facts to relate about the Muslim country of Iran and their use of uranium, Israel's biggest problem.  This is not respectful.  Israel has been a friend of the USA, and friends set an example and stay and listen to the head of Israel, not walk out.  It's fuel for the UN to also be disrespectful to Israel by not listening to the truth about their situation with the Palestinians.  Well, when has truth ever mattered in politics, huh?
