Knowing what's in the Hamas Charter, how can any country vote to recognize a Palestine today that would be adjacent to Israel occupying Israel's own ancient state of Judah with the goal to destroy Israel? That's like voting to put a bomb next door to Israel.
Though many Palestinians already live in Judea and Samaria, they do not have the rights of a state which would include such things as having an army of their own. One may ask what the difference would be being that Gaza is about 100% Hamas terrorists already being supported by their Muslim brothers.
Right now as it is, Israel has the right to police the incoming packaging coming into Gaza and Judea-Samaria to keep out ammunition as much as they possibly can as it would be used on Israel; civilians and military. Much of Israel's energy has to go into defense and has been ever since 1948, their own inception. This move is putting the enemy into their own state, as the Arabs want to take over Jerusalem, the capital of Israel.
Jerusalem is not a part of the history of the Muslims, who follow Mohammad, a recent newcomer to the world, having been born as late as 570 CE and died in 632 CE. He wrote about mounting his flying horse and arriving at the farthest mosque, but did not name it. That's because it didn't exist. Since Islam has spread forcefully, there are many mosques in the world. Muslim clerics are trying to make out that there was a mosque in Jerusalem.
There was no mosque until a Roman Temple was built on the site of the Jewish Temple first and after Mohammad had died, the Muslims built a mosque in the center of the Temple area there, which is called the Mosque of Omar and Dome of the Rock. It was Caliph Abd al Malik in about 738 who built it to replace the temporary structure set up by Caliph Omar a century earlier, making the first built in about 638, 6 years after Mohammad had died. So their claims of the unnamed farthest mosque couldn't have been in Jerusalem. .

D. Arab and Islamic States and Governments Article Twenty-Eight
The Zionist invasion is a cruel invasion, which has no scruples whatsoever; it uses every vicious and vile method to achieve its goals. In its infiltration and espionage operations, it greatly relies on secret organizations which grew out of it, such as the Freemasons, the Rotary Clubs, the Lions and other such espionage groups. All these organizations, covert or overt, work for the interests of Zionism and under its direction, and their aim is to break societies, undermine values, destroy people's honor, create moral degeneration and annihilate Islam. [Zionism] is behind all types of trafficking in drugs and alcohol, so as to make it easier for it to take control and expand.
We demand that the Arab countries around Israel open their borders to jihad fighters from among the Arab and Islamic peoples, so they may fulfill their role and join their efforts to the efforts of their brothers - the Muslim brethren in Palestine. As for the rest of the Arab and Muslim countries, we demand that they facilitate the passage of the jihad fighters into them and out of them - that is the very least [they can do].
We should not fail to remind every Muslim that when the Jews occupied the Sacred place [i.e., Jerusalem] in 1967 and stood on the threshold of the blessed Al-Aqsa mosque, they shouted: "Muhammad is dead; his offspring are women." Israel with its Jewish identity and Jewish people is challenging Islam and the Muslims. May the cowardly know no sleep.
Reading this shows how twisted the minds of the jihadists are. Let's start with Jerusalem, THE Jewish city, the most Jewish in the whole wide world, not a Muslim city.
Evidently the Muslims are the most uninformed and the European nations of today are right behind them in not knowing the history of Jerusalem, and if they do know, are in such denial that its history simply does not matter to them as long as they get their way. It does matter to Jews very much, though.
Jews have been in the Middle East as far back as Abraham was since they come from Abraham and his son Isaac and grandson Jacob. It was Jacob's great grandson, Moses, who led the captive Israelites out of Egypt, rescuing them from Egypt's slavery of 400 years. The country known as Israel had been Canaan before Moses and then Joshua led the Israelites into it as according to G-d's direction.
First Saul was chosen King from the tribe of Benjamin. Then it was king David from the tribe of Judah, 3rd great grandson of Jacob, who was king of Israel and took on Jerusalem as his capital. It is an ancient center. In the early books of the Bible, Jerusalem was also called Jebus, after the people inhabiting it before King David. The last Jebusite king was Araunah which is written about in II Sam.24:15. They remained in the city under King David and became tributary under King Solomon, David's son. In the course of time, they were assimilated into the Israelites.
Jerusalem is sometimes called Zion after King David's fortress, and was also known as the City of David. The Bible is full of beautiful names for it;
1. city of Righteousness
2. the faithful city
3. the city of G-d
4. The holy city
5. City of truth
The name of Jerusalem comes from the Hebrew name of Yerushalayim. It is mentioned 669 times in the Bible. The Land of Israel is mentioned 154 times. When it fell to the Romans in 70 CE, the Romans renamed it Aelia Capitolina as they turned it into a Roman colony. The Arabs today refer to it as El-Kuds (the Holy, and sometimes Beit el-Makdes (The house of Holiness from the Hebrew of Bet ha-Mikdash (Temple).
Jews Praying at the Western "Wailing" Wall in Jerusalem |
As long as Jews have had to live outside of Israel and Judah, their Jewish Homeland, they have prayed every day to their return to Jerusalem. They said they'd rather lose the use of their right hand than ever forget Jerusalem. This is where the First Temple was built by King Solomon and where it was rebuilt a 2nd time when the Jews were able to return from captivity in Babylonia. After the majority of the Jews had been away for 1,878 years, they were able to announce the creation of their state again; Israel. This is something that had been prophesied. Even Emir Feisal, son of Sherif Hussein of Mecca, was all for the return and hoped his own Arabs would learn from the Jews instead of being so backward.
Emir Feisal |
Now. Did the Zionists invade Palestine? No, they held countless meetings among themselves to organize after much persecution, especially in Russia and the pogroms there, and decided that if the West won WWI, the Ottoman Empire would lose, and the land would in essence be up for sale. They decided to work hard to gain back their ancient land of Israel and Judea. They met with Western leaders and Arab leaders such as the highest one, Emir Feisal, Ibn Hussein (1885-1933) who wanted his own reward of land to be a king since he led the uprising of Arabs against the Ottoman Empire (Turkey) from 1916 to 1918. He wanted some of the Empire as well, which was vast and underpopulated. Feisal was THE spokesman for all the Arabs.
Grand Mufti and Hitler |
Grand Mufti of Jerusalem |
One Arab was jealous, and that was Haj Amin al-Husseini (1893-1974), Sherif of Jerusalem appointed in 1921 known as the Grand Mufti. He was appointed by a British Jew, Sir Herbert Samuel, which smarts. Husseini caused Arabs to riot against Jews and to kill them. In 1936 he was causing all sorts of riots against Jews. During WWII he assisted Hitler and was largely responsible for the liquidation of the Jews in the Moslem areas of Bosnia. It was he who set up a short-lived Palestine Government in Gaza after 1948. Later he did it in Cairo. He was a big fish in a little pond, a minor leader compared to Emir Feisal, who was the oldest son of Hussein, sherif of Mecca.
The Emir Feisal became King of Iraq, dubbed this by the western powers from 1921. He was also designated King of Syria. He had been hoping that he would receive aid in building his future kingdom from the Jews. and had met with Dr. Weizmann in Transjordan in 1918 and again in Paris in 1919 where they reached an agreement on mutual aid. It was all conditional on the British promises to the Arabs. The French and English weren't even in agreement or together in meetings, as the Emir was expulsed from Syria by the French in 1920. When that happened, he seemed to sour quickly in his attitude to Zionism and became hostile.
The McMahon correspondence, an exchange of letters in 1915 between Sir Henry McMahon, British commissioner in Egypt, and Sherif Hussein and his son Feisal, are a must to look at. They contain a promise of British support for Arab independence. You see, they didn't like living under the Ottoman Empire anymore than the Jews did who also lived there, for Jews had never left what had become Palestine. There was always a core group living there, holding on. In return for this independence Arabs wanted, the Arabs staged a revolt against the Turks.
Palestine was not mentioned in the letters as Britain had not yet reached agreement on this subject with France. This was all conjecture. The Arab, however, claimed that Palestine was included in the area for which independence was promised. You see what had happened. Somehow, the Arabs thought they would get the land that the British had already promised to the Jews as told in the Balfour Declaration.
Sir Henry McMahon stated explicitly in 1937 that his pledge was meant to exclude the area of Palestine and that this was fully realized at the time by Hussein. Sloppy work, I say, unless papers can be dug up with signatures of acceptance of the plan. Does McMahon forget that he's dealing with Arabs and Jews who are using English as a 2nd or 3rd or 4th language of their repertoire? As a teacher of ESL, I know you have to be very careful and very direct-even use pictures, maps, etc, to make a point such as this?
Now, do the Palestinians ever study such history? Do they know about such things? Do the countries voting on Palestine's acceptance know about the history of how Israel was accepted? I doubt it very much. Too bad the French didn't allow such a smart man as Feisal to remain the king of Iraq, but then, he was too smart for them, possibly. He did wind up as King of Syria, so he came out of it all right. I'm sure his line would have been much better than what Iraq wound up with. Perhaps there never would have been such a leader as Saddam Hussein in Iraq and the mess the world is faced with now, such as the jihadists of IS.
Accusing any fraternal organization found in the USA and most likely in Europe as well as being subversive groups is ridiculous. The Lions Club was singled out. This is their goal.
These groups have a goal of benefiting their communities. Of course the Palestinians evidently listen to gossip only. Facts don't matter. You can bet they've never been members of such groups, so what do they know. My husband was the president of Kiwanis, a do-gooder organization. His group met in the morning once a week and had speakers of about 20 minutes inform them of interesting things happening. They held dinners to make money to give to charities. I think their specialty went to glasses for the needy. They had fun getting together and did something good; charity work. Nobody asks if the person is Muslim or Christian or Jewish; just if they were among the needy and needed glasses and couldn't afford them. They had a baseball team. My husband was the pitcher. He loved it. That's America for you. We didn't have to watch out for some crazy with a knife long enough to chop our heads off. We all loved life and loved our days.

Trafficking drugs and alcohol? Jews are blamed for everything, even the weather in Syria. No, trafficking alcohol went on in the USA in the 20's. Hamas is way behind times. Drugs are being trafficked by Mexico today, and let's not forget Columbia. They are in on it big-time. Not Israel. Not Jews. Next accusation?
They are telling the Muslim countries to allow jihad fighters into their land. Well, they are moving in, all right, with or without permission. They're already into or around Jordan, as it is. IS is seeing them in Syria and Iraq, destroying and killing people wherever they go with their favorite way of slaughtering; cutting off heads.
Hamas Terrorists |
So by allowing Palestine to have more power than they already do, you are signing a death wish for Israel. What is Palestine? Is it made up of Gaza, Judea, Samaria, and East Jerusalem? Are you tearing apart our eternal capital? You are cursing Israel. There are no agreements of recognizing Israel as a Jewish state. There is only the Hamas charter of destruction.
You did nothing to help Israel when they were being attacked by Gaza. Nothing. You did not help Israel when it had to go into Gaza to stop the missiles. Nothing. Now you condemn Israel with the creation of Palestine without one iota of their madness changed. Israel was for the idea of a 2 state solution, but nothing has changed; not their charter or their hatred. They do not love even their own children more than they have allowed their hatred to grow in jealousy of Israel. They are people who sacrifice their own children to get praise and the nod from you. In essence you are blessing their madness. All I can say is read your Bible. Doesn't it say something about what will happen to people who are against Israel? In Genesis 12:3 it says:
"I (God) will bless those who bless you (Israel) and will curse those who curse you"
God said He would re-gather Israel back in the Land . . . on May 14, 1948 God’s prophetic clock started ticking again, loudly.
