9/11 on 2001 and 2026 USA and Jewish Start of a New Year

Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, begins tonight. According to 

Jewish tradition, the world, as well as every individual, is judged. It is 

meant to be a time of repentance and reflection, and of recognizing 

that God is the ultimate sovereign of the world. May this Rosh 

Hashanah result in a judgement of peace and prosperity for each of us 

and for the entire world. (from my Israel AM information)

This is also  the day, our TV programming of all the 

channels 2 onward, has 9/11 history about :

what happened in New York City's buildings and all the people 

who died from it. It is a day to recognize and be kind to our 

veterans as well.                    

On September 11, 2001, 19 terrorists from the 

extremist group al-Qaeda hijacked four 

commercial 

airplanes to carry out coordinated suicide attacks 

against the United States.

                No pictures of Jolani until 2016 

Al Qaeda is the terrorist group.  Jolani (now President of Syria)was head of this terrorist group.  Ahmed al-Sharaa, widely known as Abu Mohammad al-Jolani, led the Syrian al-Qaeda affiliate (Jabhat al-Nusra) from April 2013 until July 2016.  The 9/11 attacks and the later U.S. response sparked his interest in militant jihad. 

He began attending hidden religious and political discussions 

in the suburbs of Damascus.  After the U.S. invaded Iraq in 

2003, he left Syria to join al-Qaeda in Iraq. 

Years later, he rose to lead militant groups like al Qaeda in the 

region.

The Attacks

1,2. World Trade Center: Two hijacked planes were flown into the Twin Towers in New York City, causing both structures to collapse and destroying large parts of lower Manhattan. 
3. The Pentagon: A third plane struck the Pentagon, the headquarters of the U.S. Department of Defense, just outside Washington, D.C.
4. Shanksville, Pennsylvania: Passengers and crew on the fourth plane, Flight 93, revolted against the hijackers, causing the plane to crash into an empty field rather than its intended target. 

Casualties and Aftermath

Loss of Life: A total of 2,977 victims died during the attacks, including civilians on the planes, at the World Trade Center, and at the Pentagon, alongside hundreds of first responders. 
Global Impact: The attacks prompted the United States to launch the "War on Terror", invade Afghanistan, and create the Department of Homeland Security.
Reactions and Impact in Israel

     PM Ariel Sharon: Ariel Sharon (born February 26, 1928, Kefar Malal, Palestine [now in Israel]—died January 11, 2014, Ramat Gan, Israel) was an Israeli general and politician, whose public life was marked by brilliant but controversial military achievements and   political policies. He was one of the chief participants in the Arab-Israeli wars and was elected prime minister of Israel in 2001, a position he held until he was incapacitated by a stroke in 2006.
Ariel Sharon's parents originally came from the Russian Empire (specifically from areas that are modern-day Belarus and Russia/Belarus border regions, and present-day Belarus/Russia). 
• His father, Shmuel Scheinerman, was born in Brest-Litovsk (now Brest, Belarus).
His mother, Vera (Dvora) Schneirov, was born in Mogilev (now in Belarus). 
They immigrated to Mandatory Palestine in 1922 to escape the growing persecution of Jews by the Soviet government.  
This RETURN happened all over the world, but mainly in Russia; it was the start of 6 Aliyahas (Aliyot) from Russian lands to Palestine, their ancient homeland.  
Official Condolences: Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon and other leaders strongly condemned the attacks, offering deep sympathies to the American people and declaring a national day of mourning.
Security Responses: Israel temporarily closed its international airspace to incoming foreign flights and placed its security and intelligence forces on high alert out of concern for potential ripple effects or coordinated regional threats.
Geopolitical Shift: Israeli officials recognized immediately that the event would radically transform U.S. foreign policy and global attitudes toward militant Islamist terrorism, a dynamic discussed in analyses from the Council on Foreign Relations. 
Context and Conspiracies
The "Dancing Israelis" Incident: Hours after the attacks, the FBI detained five Israeli men who worked for a moving company and were reported by a bystander for acting suspiciously while filming the burning towers. They were thoroughly investigated and eventually deported back to Israel after authorities concluded they had no prior knowledge of the plot. 
Debunked Theories: Over the years, the incident and other fabricated rumors—such as a false claim that 4,000 Israelis or Jewish people stayed home from the World Trade Center—became the basis for persistent, antisemitic and thoroughly debunked conspiracy theories attempting to blame Israel or the Mossad for the attacks.
It had been common practice among Arabs in the Middle East to blame Israel or Jews for everything bad that happened, even the weather.  I'm not surprised at these baseless accusations.  Again, it's anti-Semitism.
