Haggarty aka Macklemore is my choice of a scumbag anti-Semite pretending he isn't of the week. Smerconish brought him to my narrow-minded assisted living TV this morning, so I checked Macklemore out as well as possible. This is his AKA. His real name is Benjamin Hammond Haggarty, age 43, born on June 19, 1983 and is an American rapper from Seattle, Washington who has teamed up with a British singer, Ed Sheeran. Evidently they were noticed and on the Today Show.
One extra comment from me, Haggarty and Sheeran seem to be surnames from Ireland. I wonder if Ireland's position against Israel has anything to do with Haggarty's emotions.
Haggarty aka Macklemore made PRO PALESTINIAN COMMENTS WHILE ON STAGE. He has promised money to the Palestinian cause, in the amount of $1 million dollars and that's for Palestinian Aid Groups as Relief and Attention.
One time he was on stage, and he wore an artificial hook nose-size very large, and other props to make sure the audience could make fun of "the Jew". as his rapping must have been carrying on, and then he denied making scurrilous comments about the Jewish people. "Oh no", said he, "I'm not an anti Semite !" This was one of Smerconish's references, in full view. Absolutely disgusting !!!
The owner of the stage kicked him off from any other presentations. People are now asking if he had the right to do that. The owner might have been Jewish himself, but at any rate, he did not appreciate having anti-Semitism coming from his quarters. He did not want that reputation happening.
For me, an American senior, I barely know our own American singers at my age let alone the British singers, but it looks like this Ed Sheeran is most famous ! Sheeran has sold 200 million records worldwide, making him one of the world's best-selling music artists. He has 119 million RIAA-certified units in the US, and two of his albums are in the list of the best-selling albums in UK chart history. Ed Sheeran is one of the most famous and best-selling music artists in the entire world.
Smerconish had checked into it and could not find anything showing what Haggarty aka Macklemore did that broke any law, giving him a green light, so to speak. I think it was wrong,, so wrong of allowing this rapper to be able to go through the world spreading his vile lies about Israel which also harms not only all Israelis but all Jews everywhere and brings on this gleeful hatred lying just below the surface of the many. Here he is in Switzerland, attempting to swing their feelings his way.
Now it's up to the British singer, Ed Sheeran, to drop Macklemore from his show and he's in the act of making a decision.
Update: Ed's band left him and now he has left Macklemore.
