There is only one Jewish state and that is Israel, which is one of the smallest in the world.Israel has Muslims living here making up 20% of the population. Israel was created to be a Jewish state, and is the only one in the world after a 2,000 year wait and prayers 3 times a day. Christians live here as well as other groups. Bahai's live here and have a lovely well-known garden in Haifa.
Announcing the birth of Israel: May 14, 1948Judaism is outlawed in Russia and has been for a long time. Judaism has been at the brunt of anti-Semitism just like today when I heard disparaging remarks about Jews on the news, prompting me to comment. Education seems to be needed badly for people who fall for fake information spread by such anti-Semitic groups. All over the world demonstrations are being held of people's hatred for "Jews" and Israel. Anti-Semitism was said to be up 300% from earlier weeks, and it has been bad enough lately as it is.
In response to such anti-Israeli statements I hear on TV:
There are some 48 Muslim majority states in the world not counting Palestine. There has never been a state of Palestine for that matter in the ancient world. It's only been talked about in today's world.
Circling the Mediterranean Sea is the Middle East. Israel is so tiny it can't hardly be seen, but it's purple on the map. These chanters are begrudging Jews to have their speck of land back that President Bush said was only as big as his ranch in Texas. The ten largest populated Muslim states have been Indonesia, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nigeria, Egypt, Iran, Turkey, Sudan, Algeria and Morocco in that order. 7 states state they are Islamic states; Pakistan, Iran, Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Somalia and Mauritania and 17 state Islam is their State religion who are: Bangladesh, Egypt, Algeria, Morocco, Malaysia, Tunisia, Tajikistan, Libya, Jordan, UAE, Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain, Comoros, Qatar, Brunei, Maldives . 6 said they had no state religion who are: Indonesia, Sudan, Syria, Sierra Leone, Lebanon, Albania and 17 said they were Secular who are Nigeria, Turkey. Iraq, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Niger, Burkina Faso, Mali, Senegal, Guinea, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Chad, Kosovo, The Gambia and Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
The Promised Jewish Homeland above:Israel: a tenth (1/10) of the Promised Jewish Homeland by the Allies (Brits) Judaea and Samaria were given to Jordan by the Brits-and they held the mandate-probably through the royalty! Most of Israel, about 70%, is desert land. The Brits gave land to Lebanon while Turks earlier as the Ottoman Empire gave land to Egypt. By 1949 what was left after everyone ate most of it up was 8,000 sq m- with complicated borders. Israelis were not allowed into Jerusalem to pray until the 1967 attack-the war-was over and they won. These Israeli paratroopers are seeing the famous Wall (wailing Wall) for the first time.
Along came the 6 Day War of 1967 when all the Muslims from every state attacked and Israel won. She gained back all of Judea and Samaria, the Golan heights, the Sinai up to the Suez Canal. Sinai was returned to Egypt. There were left the swamps in the Sharon and Haifa Bay areas that were drained.
There was an Israel in ancient times that had kings; Saul, David, Solomon of biblical days. It divided by 933 BCE into Israel and it's southern state of Judah with Israel's last king-Hoshea (730-731 BCE) and Judah's last king-Zedekiah (597-586 BCE. Jews lost Jerusalem in 70 CE when the Romans occupied and then destroyed Jerusalem, burning the 2nd Temple. They had followed the Greek Invaders who Hellenized much of the land of which Alexander the Great was a civilized person with empathy, so much so that many Jews named their sons and businesses Alexander. After WWI and after many meetings with the allies who won that war, Britain held a 30 year mandate over Palestine when it would be turned over to the Jewish representatives. That happened after WWII's ending in 1945 in 1948 when 6 million Jews were murdered in the Holocaust.
