  Moses leading 603,550 Israelites and Others in Exodus  from Egypt

Jews had been held as slaves for 400 years in Egypt. They had entered Egypt with Jacob that had the Pharaoh of that day's blessing for he was pleased with Jacob's son, Joseph, who had become his right-hand man.  The next pharaoh had other fears of their high count from multiplying, taking the Israelites  as slaves. 

Finally, along came Moses and his brother, Aaron, who talked this Pharaoh into letting all 603,550 slaves, a mixed bag of Israelites and others go.  Moses had the unusual background of having lived through a purge, killing all males his age through the fears of this Pharaoh and being found and raised by one of the Pharaoh's daughters.  He had all the education of a son of a royal, so could read, write and do math as well as being educated in army maneuvers and such.                                   

The biblical descriptions of G-d's manifestations during Moses' time, when we read about the pillar of cloud by day and fire by night guiding the Israelites during the Exodus, resemble modern UFO phenomena, leading some to view them as divine spacecraft or advanced technology.  To the people of the Exodus, they were seen as G-d's tangible presence.  Moses was born in about 1391 BCE, which was 3,416 years ago.  He died at age 120, which was in 1271 BCE or 3,297 years ago. He was still on the Exodus, buried in a secret place.  Joshua took over his position as leader of the Exodus group.  The pillar seen as fire at night leading them continued in its job for 40 years until they reached Canaan from Egypt.  It wasn't that far away if taken by a few men, but moving 600,000 some people over unchartered land except for an Egyptian excursion now and then took time.  Besides that, it took time to change the people from a slave mentality to a unified religious one that was to last for all eternity. 

UAPs, or Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena, are unexplained observations in the sky, space, or underwater that can't immediately be identified as known objects or phenomena, replacing the older term UFO (Unidentified Flying Object) to encompass more than just aerial sightings and encourage scientific study, with potential explanations ranging from drones, balloons, and atmospheric effects to advanced foreign technology or, less commonly, extraterrestrial craft. The U.S. government and NASA now formally study UAPs, focusing on data analysis to identify prosaic explanations while acknowledging a few cases remain unexplained.  

Couldn't it be that the pillars and fire described in the Bible are like the cigar-shaped UFO's sighted in our generation?                                                    

                                  Ezekiel's Chariot 

Ezekiel of the 6th century BCE, a prophet, part of priestly family of Zadok, served in the Temple before 586 BCE by Babylonians;  among those exiled before to Tel Abib on the river Kebar in Babylonia, had a vision.  

Ezekiel's Vision is a c. 1518 painting by Raphael showing the prophet Ezekiel's vision of God in majesty. It is housed in the Palatine Gallery of Palazzo Pitti, Florence italy...It's how Raphael saw it; 

Ezekiel's chariot,(Ezekiel 1:1:3-13)  described in the first chapter of the Bible book of Ezekiel, isn't a conventional vehicle but a complex vision of God's divine throne-chariot, featuring four living creatures (cherubim) with four faces (human, lion, ox, eagle) and wheels within wheels (ophanim), symbolizing God's omnipresent, omnipotent, and mobile presence, moving with glory and majesty, even in exile, demonstrating His control over all creation.  "There was a stormy wind coming from the north, a great cloud with flashing fire, and a brilliance surrounding it, and from the midst of the fire, was a likeness of 4 Chayos (heavenly being that bore the chariot."

In a vision the prophet Ezekiel sees "the appearance of a man" sitting on a throne shaped by four creatures. The creatures have different faces: that of a man, an ox, a lion and an eagle. The "appearance" speaks to Ezekiel, who realizes that it is God himself who speaks to him.  Ezekiel didn't exactly ride something, but he saw a spectacular vision of God's throne-chariot, described in Ezekiel 1, featuring four winged creatures (Cherubim) with four faces (man, lion, ox, eagle) and complex, eye-covered wheels that moved with them, all surrounded by blinding light and appearing like a rainbow. Artists have depicted this as a radiant chariot, a "flying machine," or a complex celestial vehicle, with famous examples including Raphael's "Ezekiel's Vision" (c. 1518) showing the throne-chariot with glowing figures and wheels. 

Ezekiel's vision of "a wheel within a wheel" (Ophanim or Galgalim) describes complex, fiery, jewel-like wheels full of eyes that moved alongside four living creatures (cherubim) with four faces and wings, forming a divine chariot, representing God's omnipresence, knowledge, and sovereignty, with images showing these intersecting, multi-eyed wheels and creatures as described in Ezekiel chapters 1 and 10 of the Bible, Shutterstock, and Alamy. Famous artistic interpretations include William Blake's work, found at the Museum of Fine Arts Boston, showcasing these mystical, complex shapes. 
                                                       

 Ezekiel's vision (wheel within a wheel), are also sometimes reinterpreted as UFOs by people today, contrasting with mainstream religious understanding that he would have had that sees these as angelic or divine encounters.     

In describing what one sees, it depends on how they can understand what they see  according to their own environment. 

• Elisha lived in 9th century BCE:  a vivid description in 2 Kings 2:11-12, where a fiery chariot and horses of fire appear, separating Elijah from Elisha as Elijah ascends to heaven in a whirlwind, symbolizing divine power and transition. Famous artistic depictions, like those by Gustave Doré, often show Elisha watching Elijah's ascension, highlighting this miraculous moment of the prophet's departure. 
• He was said to have resurrected the dead and other miracles:    Elisha's Fiery Chariots (2 Kings 6:17): Elisha's servant saw the mountain "full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha," revealing an unseen army of divine protectors.  
  
  
  
• Seraphim in Isaiah's Vision (Isaiah 6:2-3): Isaiah was a prophet in Jerusalem from the death of Uzziah until the middle of Hezekiah's reign (740-701 BCE) of a noble family;  
• Six-winged angelic beings (Seraphim) described as covering their faces and feet with two wings and flying with two, declaring "Holy, holy, holy is the Lord Almighty".
• God's Chariot-like Clouds (Psalm 104:3): God described as making the clouds His chariot, riding on the wings of the wind.

These visions, while sometimes described with technology-like features (wheels, fire, speed), are interpreted as spiritual encounters with God's heavenly realm, not extraterrestrial spacecraft. 

Of course, they had not even been around when the airplane was invented.

 The consumption of meat by humans has a rich and complex history, evolving from scavenging to organized hunting and ultimately to the domestication of animals and the rise of meat-based industries. Evidence suggests that meat-eating began as early as 2.6 million years ago, with early hominins incorporating meat and marrow into their diets. This early meat consumption was likely driven by scavenging, with humans utilizing tools to access bone marrow and other parts of animal carcasses.

The concept of "following the animal" in hunting refers to the practice of tracking and pursuing game animals, (following the herds on animal trails) which has been a fundamental part of human survival and cultural practices for thousands of years. This practice, often involving methods like persistence hunting and still hunting, was crucial for early humans and continued to be important as they migrated and settled in different regions, including the West.

Meat preservation techniques have evolved significantly over millennia, transitioning from simple methods like drying and salting to more complex ones like smoking, curing, and refrigeration. Early humans relied on natural preservation methods such as freezing in cold climates and sun-drying in warmer regions. Salt was a crucial preservative, used to draw moisture out of meat and prevent bacterial growth. Smoking also played a vital role, creating a protective layer and inhibiting spoilage. As technology advanced, methods like pickling, fermenting, and even using natural refrigerators like underground pits and streams were employed                                

As humans migrated westward, hunting practices adapted to new environments and game. These practices ranged from tracking animals on foot to using spears, bows and arrows, and later firearms.

  Around 10,000 years ago, the domestication of animals, starting with goats and sheep in the Near East, revolutionized meat production. This shift led to a more consistent and reliable food supply and the development of livestock  farming. Abraham's family(2nd millennium or 1948 BCE)continued to be dependent on sheep and were shepherds and kept sheep; having them when they entered Egypt.

  The Roman Empire and later the Industrial Revolution saw the development of specialized meat-processing and preservation methods, further shaping the consumption of meat. 

Evolutionary and Cultural Factors:

• Evolutionary Advantage:

  Meat-eating may have played a role in the evolutionary development of humans, potentially contributing to brain size and other physical adaptations. 
• Social and Cultural Significance:

  Meat has become a cultural symbol in many societies, often associated with wealth, status, and specific religious or dietary practices.  Jews follow Kashrut, rules covering the eating of meat, for one.  They don't eat a meal that mixes milk and meat as they are eaten separately.  Jews eat only certain animals.  Later, when Islam came into being with Mohammad (570-632 CE [AD]) they also follow some of the meat rules of the Jews.   Jews do not eat any blood.     Jews do not hunt today; not after Moses gave us the kosher rules for animals, anyway, but they had to do something on the Exodus.  This is why cheese blintzes were invented;  something to eat when not eating meat.  Meat is always well done, by the way, and salted when first obtained to get all the blood out.                                     

                              Discovering the benefits of a fire:  cooking meat

Mankind could not eat meat very well unless they cooked it, as they soon found  out after chewing a lot of raw meat and smelling the cooked aroma.  

They had to learn to run 2 sticks together to make a fire, after discovering fire did a lot to improve the taste.                                     

The history of matches can be traced back to early attempts to create self-igniting sticks. Early sulfur matches were used in China as early as 577 CE. The first truly modern, self-igniting match, developed in 1805 by Jean Chancel, utilized a potassium chlorate, sulfur, gum, and sugar mixture that was ignited by sulfuric acid. John Walker, in 1826, developed the first friction match, which gained popularity and was later copied by others. 

Because of  problems, many scientist, chemist and engineers of the early human civilizations (Mesopotamia, Egypt, India, China, Greece and Rome) tried to find some way to make fire easy to create, portable and reliable. Because they lacked the knowledge of the chemistry and physics, their early efforts were unsuccessful.   The only relatively successful example of the early control over fire came from 5th century AD China, where sulfur coated wooden sticks was used as a catalyst of creating fire. By 10th century manufacture of these "light-bringing slaves" or “fire inch-sticks” could be found in all parts of china, but the self-igniting match stuck was not found.

1000 years passed, and scientists still did not come close to the finding the way how to create self-igniting source of fire that could be used reliably by general population (few impractical and very dangerous chemical reactions were present). The basis of the modern match and lighter technology was founded by none other than an alchemist Hennig Brandt in the second half of 17th century, who his entire life dreamed of creating gold from other metals. During his career he managed to extract pure phosphorus and test his interesting flammable properties. Even though he discarded Phosphor in his alchemic experiments, his notes proved to be an important stepping stone for future generations of inventors.

                                            Hamas (Terrorist Organization) in Uniform

An honest review of what just happened in Rafah causing this terrible fire and loss of life is on ISRAEL AT WAR, DAY 235 from i24.  I get it on you-tube.  This is what Netanyahu described as a tragic error.

It was explained that their rocket meant to hit (in error) a site devoid of civilians which had (not known to Israel) included some sort of Hamas weaponry that caught fire, causing this huge fire. Terrorists had been shooting from this site.   The weapons were stashed, not showing up by eyesight or radar  The drop by Israel had been delayed by checking the area to make sure no civilians were there.   It's being investigated right now.

Like Israel said, the war is against the terrorists, Hamas; not their civilians.  Try to get this video.

Hamas Terrorists Now Arsonists in Israel Attacks Besides Rockets, Mortars and Missiles

Fires in forests and brush, wherever they come from are dangerous business to any community.  People have to move out of their homes to escape these flames that move quickly.  They are likely to occur in the summertime most of all.  California and Oregon have been fighting such fires lately.  So has Israel, and theirs is 100% caused by Palestinian arson.

It's become one of the norms used by Hamas terrorists living in Gaza to attack  Israel.  They have been sending up balloons carrying fire-starting mechanisms that land in the farms and brush, which in turn bring out the man-power to stop the fires.  It's a destruction of future food and land.

As of today, August 14, 2020, Israel has had to hit Hamas sites after 100 arson balloons started fires in Israel.  Hamas again threatened Israel with “consequences”after claiming that two Gazan civilians were slightly hurt in the IDF’s fifth strike in a week. Combat helicopters and tanks Friday night struck Hamas’s naval compound, underground infrastructure and observation posts, after another day of arson and incendiary balloon attacks on Israeli farms and brush land – 100 in a week.

“The State of Israel won’t accept any violation of its sovereignty or harm to residents of the south,” Gantz wrote on Twitter. “If the terror organizations still don’t understand, whoever tests Israel will be hit hard.”

At least three brush fires were ignited in southern Israel on Thursday by balloons carrying incendiary devices that were launched from the Gaza Strip, the fire department said, sparking concern over a possible return of the phenomenon."

                                                

"Nearly 8,000 acres of land has been lost to Palestinian arson terrorism.  That was back in 2018.  Now, more land has to be added to that total.  "The number of incendiary kites and balloons being sent by Palestinians over the Gaza border and causing fires in Israel had fallen, enabling the Israel Nature and Parks Authority to begin assessing the ecological and financial damage to Israeli parks and nature reserves.
Authorities had also worked on a plan to minimize the damage if the arson terrorism campaign resumed.

The four-month arson terrorism campaign, part of the campaign of border violence orchestrated by the Hamas terrorist group that rules the Gaza Strip, has resulted in appalling damage: Some 32,000 dunams (7,900 acres) of Israeli fields, parks and other lands had been reduced to ash in 2018.

                                               

The 2018 report found that 12,086 dunams (2,987 acres) of national parks and nature reserves, 9,873 dunams (2,440 acres) of JNF-owned land, 4,237 dunams (1,047 acres) of agricultural fields and 6,085 dunams (1,504 acres) of open land have been burned. Since the arson terrorism began, 14% of all nature reserves in the region bordering the Gaza Strip have been lost to fire.

The worst-hit areas are the Be'eri Crater Nature Reserve, 78% of which has been burned, and the Kurkar Niram Nature Reserve, 77% of which has been burned. Fifty percent of the Karmiya Nature Reserve, 30% of the Reches Gvaram Reserve, 27% of Nahal Grar Park, and 21% of the Besor Nature Reserve have also been lost to the fires.

The parks authority is concerned that invasive plant species could replace local plants and cause more damage. Workers are taking care to root out invasive species, and next spring, after the winter rains, the authorities plan to inspect the damaged areas for any changes to the plant life.

The fires have annihilated wildlife as well as flora. The bee-eater birds indigenous to the Besor Reserve are gone, their nests having been lost, and Be'eri's wild turtle population has suffered a critical blow".                                          

By December 19, 2019, Israel announced that they had a light blade laser that might finally answer Gaa's burning kites and fire balloons.  "The “light blade” system is world’s first with the ability to knock down kites and balloons, the Israeli police say." It can also take down armed drones – a threat coming mainly from Iranian-sponsored militias in the north.

Called “Light Blade,” it is a laser system that looks much like a miniature Iron Dome, the anti-missile defense system that protects Israel from short-range rocket attack. It tracks the suspicious airborne object, locks onto it, and blasts it with a unique laser beam. If it is a balloon loaded with flammable material, it will explode. If it is a drone, its motor will be burned out and it will crash.  “The system provides an almost complete response to the threat of balloons and kites and provides an effective and safe solution to the drone threat,” Shabtai told the network.

Arson balloons flown from the Gaza Strip have caused millions of dollars of ecological damage in the south, burning thousands of acres of cropland and forests."

Update: 2/16/2020:   Two IDF Gaza strikes happened when Hamas added rocket fire to balloons.  An israeli man was injured.

Update 8/17/2020: United with Israel:  The IDF hit Hamas posts in the Gaza Strip in response to rockets and a wave of airborne arson attacks.

IDF tanks on Sunday night shelled Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip in response to dozens of arson balloon attacks on southern Israel earlier in the day.

The IDF stated that it hit Hamas observation posts in the strip.

This was the sixth IDF strike in the Strip in recent days that was carried out in response to the arson balloon attacks.
