The 3rd and current Supreme Leader of Iran is Mojtaba Khamenei. He was officially selected by the Assembly of Experts in March 2026 to succeed his father, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
Blame the Shiite Government of the past 45 years for Death Everywhere Blame Iran for wanting to get rid of Netanyhu with their intercontinental ballistic missiles when Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was president(2005-2013).

New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani stated that the International Criminal Court (ICC) arrest warrant against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu "should be taken seriously". He described Netanyahu as a "war criminal" and the "architect of the genocide against Palestinians in Gaza".
By holding back relevant information explaining Israel's position in Gaza and all that was going on to damage their reputation, the whole world has followed Mamdani's words like sheep.
Responding to comments by NYC Mayor Mamdani about potentially having Prime Minister Netanyahu arrested in NYC for war crimes, President Trump wrote, “Benjamin Netanyahu will not be arrested, in any way, shape, or form, while in the United States of America."
The International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague does not have practical jurisdiction over Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu while he is in the United States, as the US does not recognize the court's authority. Arrest and Extraction: The ICC has no police force and relies on its 124 member nations to make arrests. If a foreign leader with an active ICC warrant travels to a member state (like European Union countries), those states are obligated to detain and transfer them to The Hague. However, this does not apply in the U.S
He is fighting against the Islamic Republic of Iran, which recently killed 52,000 innocent protestors, and has spent the last 47 years killing American soldiers, and others. The only ones that should be arrested are the people that led Iran into this unprecedented spiral of death and destruction.”

Unfortunately, Mamdani himself happens to be one of them, and I doubt if many people realize this.
Political Governance: Since the 1979 Islamic Revolution, the country has been governed as a theocracy. Supreme Leader Grand Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and other high-ranking clerics hold ultimate political and moral authority, integrating religious law (sharia) into the daily administration of the state.
Mamdani has not given up. Mayor Zohran Mamdani said in an interview with The New York Times that he was in “an active conversation” with New York City’s Law Department on whether he had the authority to arrest the Israeli leader.New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani renewed his vow to explore the legal feasibility of arresting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ahead of the UN General Assembly. Mamdani stated that Netanyahu "belongs in The Hague" as a war criminal, and that he is in "active conversation" with the city's Law Department to see what actions are allowed under local law.
