Female Terrorist Aafia Siddiqui: Hostage Taker's Reason For Invading Synagogue

 Nadene Goldfoot

Aafia Siddiqui (Urdu: عافیہ صدیقی; born 2 March 1972) is a Pakistani neuroscientist convicted of multiple felonies in 2010 and serving an 86-year sentence at the Federal Medical Center, Carswell in Fort Worth, Texas, over an alleged assault on U.S. personnel while detained at an Afghan detention center. She's now 50 years old, having already served 12 years with 74 more to go.  At age 50, this is a life-time sentence .   Her case has been described as "one of the most troubling in the sordid history" of the War on Terror.

FBI composite image of Siddiqui for the FBI wanted poster

She's the reason, supposedly, that hostages were taken on a Saturday morning at a synagogue in Texas,  The hostage-taker wanted to free Aafia Siddiqui from a Texas prison.  This was a well educated Pakistani woman who was charged with attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon and was convicted and sentenced to 86 years in prison in the USA.

Not included in her sentence was this fact.  According to US investigators, Baluchi, her 2nd husband,  told the FBI that al-Qaeda had set up a biological weapons lab and he asked Aafia Siddiqui (who has a biology degree from MIT) advice on how long it would take to develop such weapons and whether the man in charge was capable of developing the weapons. Siddiqui replied that she "was willing to participate in a biological weapons (BW) project if al-Qaida tasked her to do so".

Imam Jaconiah Abdullah Toalib Faaruuq in Boston praised Terrorists in 2010 when Aafia siddiqui was sentenced.  So did Qaradawi, well known anti-Semite .

Imam Jeconiah Abdullah Taalib Faaruuq’s Pro-Terrorist Remarks (March 6, 2010) and Qaradhawi were men who spoke against the USA and were for terrorism and praised terrorist acts and   people like Siddiqui. in Boston. Her sentence fired them up.  Qaradawi  hated Jews and spoke about it constantly.  He had to have given Siddiqui  that same hatred.                          Siddiqui was born in Pakistan to a Sunni Muslim family. For a period from 1990, she studied in the United States. She attended MIT with a full scholarship and obtained a Ph.D. in neuroscience from Brandeis University in 2001. She returned to Pakistan for a time following the 9/11 attacks and again in 2003 during the war in Afghanistan. Khalid Sheikh Muhammad named her a courier and financier for Al-Qaeda, and she was placed on the FBI Seeking Information – Terrorism list; she remains the only woman to have been featured on the list.

Counter-terrorism groups have dubbed her "Lady al-Qaeda" and U.S. officials once described her as "The Most Wanted Woman in the World". Counter-terrorism groups have dubbed her "Lady al-Qaeda" and U.S. officials once described her as "The Most Wanted Woman in the World".

Siddiqui was shot and severely wounded at the police compound.  Her American interrogators said she grabbed a rifle from behind a curtain and began shooting at them. Siddiqui has denied this and said she simply stood up to see who was on the other side of the curtain and startled the soldiers, one of whom then shot her. She received medical attention for her wounds at Bagram Air Base and was flown to the US to be charged in a New York City federal court with attempted murder and armed assault on US officers and employees.

The government had accused her of "faking mental illness", as they denied she had been kidnapped, despite other psychologists saying she was mentally ill and unfit to stand trial. After receiving psychological evaluations and therapy, the judge agreed with the government psychiatrists declared her mentally fit to stand trial. Siddiqui interrupted the trial proceedings with vocal outbursts and was ejected from the courtroom several times. The jury convicted her on all charges in February 2010,

Siddiqui came to the United States on a student visa in 1990 for undergraduate and graduate education and eventually settled in Massachusetts. In 1995, she agreed to a marriage arranged by her mother to Karachi-born anesthesiologist Amjad Mohammed Khan just out of medical school and whom she had never seen. The marriage ceremony was conducted over the telephone. Khan then came to the US, and the couple lived first in Lexington, Massachusetts, and then in the Mission Hill neighbourhood of Roxbury, Boston, where he worked as an anesthesiologist at Brigham and Women's Hospital. She gave birth to a son, Muhammad Ahmed, in 1996, and to a daughter, Mariam Bint-e Muhammad, in 1998.  They are now 26 and 24 years old.

While completing the requirements for her master's degree and her PhD in neuroscience in less than four years, she found time to marry and start a family, and volunteer with the Muslim Student Association and Al-Kifah Refugee Center, proselytizing, urging greater religious observance among Muslims, and doing charity work. Immediately following the 9/11 attacks she returned to Pakistan but then returned to America where her husband was completing his board exams.

                                                    Khalid Sheikh Mohammed in 2001

Later, she divorced her husband She married again to Ammar al-Baluchi, also known as Ali Abdul Aziz Ali (February 2003 – present)]and in March 2003 disappeared with her 3 young children, shortly after the arrest in Pakistan of her 2nd husband's uncle, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the alleged chief planner of the 11 September attacks.  Khalid Sheikh Mohammed is a Pakistani Islamist militant held by the United States at the Guantanamo Bay detention camp under terrorism-related charges. He was named as "the principal architect of the 9/11 attacks" in the 9/11 Commission Report.

Khalid Mohammed gave her up quickly, and she was a relative.  He reportedly mentioned Siddiqui's name while he was being interrogated, and shortly thereafter she was added to the FBI Seeking Information – War on Terrorism list.

Ammar Al-Baluchi, her 2nd husband,  is a Pakistani citizen in U.S. custody at Guantanamo Bay detention camp. Charges against him include "facilitating the 9/11 attackers, acting as a courier for Osama bin Laden and plotting to crash a plane packed with explosives into the U.S. consulate in Karachi." She had married into quite the terrorist family.

An outraged Siddiqui circulated an announcement with a scornful note deriding Pakistan for "officially" joining "the typical gang of our contemporary Muslim governments", closing her email with a quote from the Quran warning Muslims not to take Jews and Christians as friends.

She wrote three guides for teaching Islam, expressing the hope in one: "that our humble effort continues ... and more and more people come to the [religion] of Allah until America becomes a Muslim land."

She also took a 12-hour pistol training course at the Braintree Rifle and Pistol Club, mailed US military manuals to Pakistan and moved from her apartment after the FBI agents visited the university looking for her.

Peter Bergen of CNN has described her as an "icon for terrorists" and notes she is "used as a rationale for terrorism against Americans" such as in the Colleyville synagogue hostage crisis. that just happened Saturday on the 15th.  Current Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan has expressed support for freeing Siddiqui on multiple occasions. The Pakistani Senate has unanimously passed resolution no. 399, calling for Dr. Aafia's repatriation to Pakistan.

This means that Pakistan backs her terrorism against  the USA.

The FBI on Sunday identified Malik Faisal Akram, a 44-year-old British national, as the hostage-taker.  He was shot and killed when they rushed in.  Malik had been about to shoot the hostages when one threw a chair at him and the 3 ran were able to run out quickly after about 11 hours of being held.  He had mental health issues.  Anyone deciding to go into a synagogue to take hostages would.  He told the 4 men that Jews could do anything and taking them meant that they would get Aafia out.  Aafia was known to be a very strong anti-Semite.  He was a man who had believed all the stories he had heard about Jews and how they ran the world, etc.  He wasn't a great planner, going into a synagogue known to be broadcasting their service on TV because of Covid, and people could be watching for 1 1/2 hours as he drew his gun and held them.  The rabbi had thought he was just a homeless man and had invited him in, making sure he was comfortable.  Luckily, the 4 had had a class in just this situation and were prepared as one could be not expecting it to ever happen.

How Taliban Differs From Al Qaeda

Nadene Goldfoot

The Taliban is an Islamic fundamentalist political movement that started in Afghanistan when they were fighting against the Russians in 1996.  They continued to fight until 2001.  They believe in strict Sharia law.  Their practices have been very unfair towards women, part of their understanding of the law.   It formed a government of its own and ruled as "the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan from 1996 to 2001.  Taliban is interpreted as "students of Islamic knowledge,"   which shows that they are knee deep into their Sharia law as a main goal.  They used Kandahar as their capital.  Only Pakistan, its neighbor, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates gave it recognition.  Their spiritual leader since 1994 is Mohammed Omar.   The Taliban is made up of people called Pashtos.  Many Pashtos have claimed to be the Lost Tribes of Israel.  Their culture backs this up with many showing practices of the Jewish culture, but they have no interest in regaining their past religion.  It's more likely they would be adamant to indoctrinate all Jews to Islam instead, and they will not hesitate to fight against Israel.  They see it as part of their Sharia law.    Not all Pashtos are Taliban members, either.  Many have suffered under them.

"The Taliban have been accused of using terrorism as a specific tactic to further their ideological and political goals. According to the United Nations, the Taliban and their allies were responsible for 75% of Afghan civilian casualties in 2010, 80% in 2011, and 80% in 2012.

Between 1994 and 1999 about 80,000 to 100,000 Pakistanis trained and fought in

Afghanistan on the side of the Taliban.  "The Taliban was ousted from power in December 2001 by the U.S. military and Afghani opposition forces in response to the September 11, 2001, terrorist attack on the U.S."

Since 2009, the Taliban took the hostage, Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, and held him till now, exchanging him for 5 terrorists held in Gitmo called Gitmo detainees.  Reports are from TV that they are commanders, leaders, planners of terrorism, not just the common run of the mill variety  footmen terrorists who just take orders.

All Qaeda

The Taliban are friends of al Qaeda and they work together.  "In 2001 alone, according to several international sources, 28,000-30,000 Pakistani nationals, 14,000-15,000 Afghan Taliban and 2,000-3,000 Al-Qaeda militants were fighting against anti-Taliban forces in Afghanistan as a roughly 45,000 strong military force.

The USA lists Al Qaeda as terrorists, and the Taliban is not listed, yet they fought together against forces that most likely were American.  They are brutal.   A  purported Al Qaeda Leader is said to have beheaded a  U.S. civilian in Iraq, and pictures of it are on the internet.  This is Osama bin Laden's group.  They operate a multinational stateless army and a radical Sunni Muslim movement calling for global jihad and they interpret the sharia law in a very strict way, so they are good companions for the Taliban.  They're so nutty that they fought each other's  units in Syria as well as the Kurds.  "It has been designated as a terrorist organization by the United Nations Security Council, NATO, the European Union, the United States, Russia, India and various other countries.

Money has come to them from Osama bin Laden's wealth.  In 2001 Afghanistan was in a mess.  Osama bin Laden's source was only one of many.  Others such as Jamaa Al-Islamiyya and the Islamic Jihad also financed them.  Both are connected with Afghan-based Egyptians.  They also had money from selling heroin and from supporters in Kuwait, Saudi Arabia  who supplied a lot of their money,   and other Islamic countries.

One of the Taliban terrorists is Noorullah Noori.
Noorullah Noori vowed to return to Afghanistan and fight Americans, according to NBC News.
Supposedly 5 dangerous terrorists were released in exchange for our American soldier that was held for 5 years.   They were to be taken to Qatar where the Taliban has an office, and are to live there for one year.   "Noori pushed to return to Afghanistan after learning that the U.S. had provided written assurances that no country would arrest any of the five freed for a year as long as they lived peacefully, one of his relatives told NBC News by telephone from Afghanistan.

How do you get on the American  terrorist list?  Hamas is listed,  yet is being accepted as part of Palestine's government.  Al-Qaida in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM) is listed.  Our State Department monitors terrorist groups around the world to identify them.  They look at actual terrorist attacks that they have carried out and if the group has been planning and making preparations for future acts of terrorism and has the capability and intent to carry out such acts..

The USA has been in Afghanistan since 2001 looking for Osama bin Laden who was behind the attack in the USA in New York City on the Twin Towers and in Washington DC on the Pentagon. Osama was a Saudi Arabian and member of the very rich bin Laden family.  ethnically he was a Yemeni Kindite.  He joined the mujahideen forces in Pakistan against the Soviets who were fighting in in Afghanistan.

That was terrorism.  We've tried to get out of Afghanistan but here's the situation. We want to leave the policing there to their Afghan National Police who support their own army.  The police are mostly illiterates.  17% are on illegal drugs as tested in 2010.  They take bribes easily.  Nobody can build a good police force with such men to choose from.  1/4 of them quit every year anyway.  Afghan is having a rough time building their police force to take the place of our American soldiers.

Back in 2001, the coordinator of a plot to blow up the American Embassy in Paris told the French Police that the Taliban formed a pact with Osama bin Laden 5 months ago and any terrorist attacks since then had their approval.  This shows that way back then that the Taliban and al Qaeda were working together.

As far as I can see, there really is no difference between these two terrorists, except that al-Qaeda has more financial backing.  62% of al-Qaeda has university education.  "In 2006, it was estimated that al-Qaeda had several thousand commanders embedded in 40 different countries.  As of 2009, it was believed that no more than 200–300 members were still active commanders.   I think in the end they'll take the Taliban for a ride.  After committing the act of kidnapping a strayed American soldier, they should be put on the terrorist list, especially using him as a hostage for 5 years.  They've  messed with our army.

9/11 Attacks Give Credence to Video's Message

Nadene Goldfoot
Instead of proving to the world how wrong a stupid video was that was made by a handful of uneducated people in the USA that few of us here have watched or even knew about, radical Muslims, whose group seems to be growing by leaps and bounds, fell into the trap of proving that this poorly made-video is correct.

The hateful al-Qaida, Muslim Brotherhood and Salafists most likely were behind a coordinated attack on the anniversary of 9/11/2001 when Muslim extremists managed to attack the Twin Towers and other places, killing more than 3,000 Americans.  With American cell phones, it's easy to stir up people and dictate attacks.  It's too easy to stir Muslims up with the claim that we were disrespecting Islam with this video.

Americans note that we did not observe this anniversary by attacking Muslims to get even.  Instead, it is Muslims who attacked Americans by human sacrifice; attacking American Embassies in the Muslim world.  First Egypt, then Libya where 4 were killed, people who had befriended that country. These Americans thought they were in safe territory and didn't have Marines to protect them, only a few security people who were killed.   Now it's spreading to Yemen, Iraq, Iran, and Gaza.  Stronger controls in Jordan and Afghanistan so far have kept it under more control.  Don't tell me they didn't have human slaughter on their minds when they stormed that building.  They killed their best friend and spokesman in their violence.

If Muslims are irate that someone had made fun of their prophet, a man who they believe uttered divinely inspired revelations,  they have an unusual way of expressing it.  It's behavior that this prophet was teaching that is now made fun of by these radical Muslims!.  To react by rioting and killing is not doing Mohammed any good at all in garnishing respect.  I haven't seen the film and don't want to, but that's what religion is all about; teaching people how to behave among other people.  Your leadership, who are still dealing with the world in a Genghis Khan type of thinking, are not fulfilling Islam at all, unless of course, people are right in that you just want to take over the world with  7th century thinking.

All this rioting and screaming "God is great" while shooting and throwing grenades and rocks only demeans G-d.  You're turning people off  religion of all sorts, and especially Islam.  You only know force.  That's a very primitive level of thinking to the rest of the world.  It's time to grow up.

Update:  Since Friday's prayers, rioting has also spread out to India, Bangladash, Pakistan, Phillipines, Indonesia, Sudan, Kenya, Nigeria, Kuwait, Qatar, Tunisia, Jerusalem and now a US army post in Afghanistan and an English one with 2 US soldiers killed. .
