THE POINT IS: Why THIS IS MY LAND

This land of Israel is land that rightfully belongs to the Jews; Jews who lived here 3,972 years ago.  I'll tell you why.  There's lots of documentation.  

Jews had lived here on this very land, brought here by Moses 3,600 years ago on the Exodus. It was land they had lived on before, when Abraham had entered Canaan and their descendants, Isaac and then his son Jacob had lived there.  

Their descendants had established the kingdom of Israel with King Saul 3,051 years ago and it so remained until  the Assyrians attacked and took many captives away 2,742 years ago, later called the Lost 10 Tribes who were most of the northern tribes of Israel. Israel was left with their remnant population, the largest tribe of the 12 which was Judah and some of Benjamin and the straggling others, either too old or too young or out of harm's way at the time.  

Israel continued on-now being called Judaea, carrying on with Jerusalem as their capital which had been thus since their King David from 3,031 years ago had created for Israel's capital. The Romans renamed it "Judaea."  Judaea was still Judah as it always had been until the Babylonians attacked 2,607 years ago and took a great many of them away, ironically having replaced the Assyrians who had held the same land the Babylonians had this time.  The Babylonians in other words, had replaced the Assyrians, literally.  However, this time they finally allowed these Jews the right of return to Jerusalem, and rebuild their Temple which the Babylonian leader Nebuchadnezzar had destroyed.  The Jews returned  in 538 BCE which was 2, 559 years ago.  

                                                 

They rebuilt the temple from 538-515 BCE- 23 years of working on it.  

Jews held onto Judah until the Romans destroyed it in 70 CE by burning Jerusalem and the 2nd Temple and killed thousands and thousands of Jews while taking prisoners as many as they could capture.  This happened 1,951 years ago.  

For these some past 2,000 years, Jews have been praying 3 times a day for their return to Judah;  to Israel.  They have tried intermittently to do so.  Not enough Jews were on the land to form a state, country or empire again.  They simply continued living there as before, best as they could do.  

They saw their temple turn into a Roman  center of military activity and after the destruction the same site turned into a Roman Temple .  Since then, during the Moslem Period, a mosque has stood there, called the Mosque of Omar-on the very same site where the 2nd Temple had stood.  To keep the peace, Moshe Dayan gave the Muslims the right of policing the area.  As that turns out, Jews are kept from praying on or even near this area. 

                                                  

 What has become dear to Jews now is the Wall, first called the Wailing Wall,  now the Western Wall, the wall around King Herod's Temple that still stands in Jerusalem.  He had worked on the Temple remains and he rebuilt or refurbished it.  It is sacred because the site of the Holy of Holies is figured to be at the western end and this includes it.                                                   

      The first to be at the wall in 1967, and they danced!  

 This part of the wall was under Jordanian rule, meaning Jews could not come here until 1967's war's conclusion.  The war was not over the wall, but the wall returned to Israel hands because all her surrounding nations had attacked her and Israel won, miraculously!  

 Some Jews had been able to hide from the Romans and had remained; people they could return to.  The land was never without Jews living there, but so very many had lost their lives, especially in the Roman attack.  The Jewish general who lived through it all was Josephus, and he continued to live by obeying the Romans by writing the history of this war on the Jews, and it lives on.  

Before the rest of the world started to write, the Jews were writing, and their history was recorded for posterity by Moses who led them to their land and told them that G-d said that this was where they were to live. (Scholars now recognize that writing may have independently developed in at least four ancient civilizations: Mesopotamia (between 3400 and 3100 BCE), Egypt (around 3250 BCE which was 5,271 years ago),  This was their land.  He gave them laws to follow given to him by G-d,  and the laws have lived onto this very day.  

Along with our history of Moses, we gathered the history of Egypt, as it included Moses since Moses was from the Jews taken as captives during the time when Jacob and his family had entered Egypt and remained slaves of Egypt for 400 years.  Moses, at age 80 had returned to Egypt from the desert to bargain with the pharaoh along with his newly found brother, Aaron,  also born in Egypt.  They had been separated when Moses was a baby, placed in a reed basket in the Nile to escape the pharaoh's decree to kill all Jewish babies.  This piece of news is also documented in Egyptian history.  Moses did have reason to do what he could as a member of the royal family of Egypt to free the Jews.  

Jews have a history longer than any other people alive today; first being one of the oldest people to be alive today.  All the others have died out or have been assimilated into other groups, including the Jews themselves.  They are distinctly Jews (of Judah), the original Israelites, now proved by DNA.

The land of Israel was taken by the Romans who renamed it "PALESTINE"  1,886 years ago in 135 CE in a fit of anger when the Jewish general, Shimon Bar Kokhba,  had retaken Jerusalem and held it for 3 years.  

Since then, many countries have taken the land but never have lived in it or made it into any other country.  There was no country of Palestine; only the land had this new name.  The land itself was wasted, went into waste of swamps and deserts unattended and was not used for farming except for a few new Syrians who came down and lived there in the late 1800s. 

It was in 1880 that Russian Jews appeared, fleeing pogroms and found that the Ottoman Empire had been holding the land but simply taxing these Arabs who said they were Syrians.  They knew their history and that this was where they were told to live.  The taxes were very high and the Arabs were not making a living on this land.  Jews kept following and building, hiring the Arabs in their endeavors of creating a new country.  Arabs sold the land to the Jews who valued it higher than gold. 

 This was where they were determined to stay for their descendants' sake.  This was their land once more on May 14, 1948.  The cruelty of others had driven them back home.  Yes, G-d does work in mysterious ways!  The cruelty of other nations towards Jews had finally come to the great impasse!  Enough  already.  They were home and so let it be.  The Jewish Homeland  became legal through the League of Nations and the United Nations, the world's center of declarations to help keep the peace on earth and good will towards all men.  

This was the homeland of a people who believed in one G-d amid a world of people believing in more than one force such as the Jews believed. The Jewish G-d had no form, no shape, no idol, different from other beliefs in this way.   They would not treat others as they didn't like to be treated.  They knew what it was like to be treated so cruelly.  They knew only so well after the world tried to eradicate them and all they stood for during the HOLOCAUST from 1939-1945 when 6 million Jews were killed by the Nazis and those who aided and abetted in the many countries they were taken from.

 For so many people decided they agreed with the Nazis;  those and those who feared for their own lives.  People who were brave and determined people didn't and helped Jews to live by hiding and feeding them.  Like wheat, the people were divided like chaff is from grain.  

Anti-Semitism continues to live on, building up again like in the late 30s.  This time we have our country back  and will hold it with the good graces of our belief system and the good people still existing in the world.  For any people of any religion can agree that it is not a good thing when one people can turn on another and kill them just for their differences in religion.  A mass extermination of a people can never be good to anyone.  The extraordinary thing is that Jews gave to the world the religions they now follow.  Something from Judaism has gone into their own religions. 

                                                 

1. I am the Lord your God. 2.’You shall have no other gods before me; You shall not make for yourself a graven image; 3. ‘You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain;’ 4. ‘Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy;’ 5. ‘Honor your father and your mother;’ 6. ‘You shall not murder;’  7. ‘You shall not commit adultery;’ 8. ‘You shall not steal;’ 9. ‘You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor;’ 10. ‘You shall not covet.”

How about the Ten Commandments?   Most follow 7 of these commandments and include them in their morality and so into the laws of their towns and states.  This was from Judaism.  Judaism also follows more; totaling 613 laws, many of which any normal people do normally without even knowing it.                                                    

Funny thing is that in living in a country of many religions, the 10 are not allowed freedom of speech.  They cannot be seen posted anywhere; it might offend someone.  So in Israel, at least during Shavuot, it's allowed, I wouldn't be surprised, even though there are multiple religions residing there-the basic religion of the land and why it was created in the first place is that of Judaism.  It is our land of refuge.

The Dead Sea Scrolls include the 10 Commandments and can now be seen as they are included in the display.  They are the oldest ever found.    

1492 was the year of the Spanish Inquisition when Jews were forced out of Spain because they were Jewish.  The ship, the Mayflower, didn't sail those dangerous seas until 1620.  The Mayflower had sailed 128 years after the Inquisition!  This gives you an idea of time-how old the Jewish people are.  In 128 years you can have 5 generations of families.  1492's horrible and bloody Inquisition happened 529 years ago;  the very worst display of anti-Semitism! 

Jews are an ancient people who have survived, knowing many bottlenecks to lose genes of valued family lines but whose own genes carry on those ancient ones.  They know their history for their history is involved in their religion; a religion that values their memories!  It's a religion of the living, of how to live and not harm others, yet now they have to spend their young's lives in defense of these very lives.

Syrians are the 17th largest populated state out of the 48

Muslim majority states in the world.  They are 90% Muslim of Sunni/Shio'a.

After 1880, many moved into Palestine, saying they were Syrians,

because they were looking for work with the new Russian Jews who were

building.  Arabs came from other states as well, and all, Jew and Arab,

were called Palestinians.  Arabs kept the name.  

Studying the genetic relation between Jews and Syrians showed that the two populations share close affinity. Apparently, the cultural influence of Arab expansion in the Eastern Mediterranean in the seventh century was more prominent than the genetic influx. However, the expansion of Islam did leave an impact on Levantine genes. 

Jewish religion and culture can be traced back to Semitic tribes that lived in the Middle East approximately 4,000 years ago. The Babylonian exile in 586 B.C. marked the beginning of major dispersals of Jewish populations from the Middle East and the development of various Jewish communities outside of present-day Israel.

In 2001, a team of Israeli, German, and Indian scientists discovered that the majority of Jews around the world are closely related to the Kurdish people -- more closely than they are to the Semitic-speaking Arabs or any other population that was tested.

                                               

Kurdistan is a mountainous region divided among Turkey, Iran and Iraq.  Jews went to Kurdistan way back in the time of Ezra (5th century BCE-400s BCE or 2,420 yrs ago).  

For populations of the Jewish diaspora, the genetic composition of Ashkenazi, Sephardi, and Mizrahi Jewish populations show significant amounts of shared Middle Eastern ancestry. According to Behar and colleagues (2010), this is "consistent with a historical formulation of the Jewish people as descending from ancient Hebrew and Israelites of the Levant" and "the dispersion of the people of ancient Israel throughout the Old World". Jews living in the North African, Italian, and Iberian regions show variable frequencies of admixture with the historical non-Jewish population along the maternal lines. In the case of Ashkenazi and Sephardi Jews (in particular Moroccan Jews), who are closely related, the source of non-Jewish admixture is mainly southern European. Behar and colleagues have remarked on an especially close relationship between Ashkenazi Jews and modern Italians. Some studies show that the Bene Israel and Cochin Jews of India, and the Beta Israel of Ethiopia, while very closely resembling the local populations of their native countries, may have some ancient Jewish descent.                                         

                                                                           

The paternal Y-DNA haplogroup J1, (also called the Jewish Cohen gene) which reaches its highest frequencies in Yemen 72.6% and Qatar 58.3%, accounted for 33.6% of Syrians. The J2 group accounted for 20.8% of Syrians; other Y-DNA haplogroups include the E1B1B 12.0%, I 5.0%, R1a 10.0% and R1b 15.0%.  ^{These are also common with the Jewish people.  
A multidimensional scaling plot placed six of the seven Jewish populations in a relatively tight cluster that was interspersed with Middle Eastern non-Jewish populations, including Palestinians and Syrians. Pairwise differentiation tests further indicated that these Jewish and Middle Eastern non-Jewish populations were not statistically different. The results support the hypothesis that the paternal gene pools of Jewish communities from Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East descended from a common Middle Eastern ancestral population, and suggest that most Jewish communities have remained relatively isolated from neighboring non-Jewish communities during and after the Diaspora.}

In a study of Israeli Jews and Palestinian Muslim Arabs, more than 70% of the Jewish men and 82% of the Arab men whose DNA was studied, had inherited their Y chromosomes from the same paternal ancestors, who lived in the region within the last few thousand years. "Our recent study of high-resolution microsatellite haplotypes demonstrated that a substantial portion of Y chromosomes of Jews (70%) and of Palestinian Muslim Arabs (82%) belonged to the same chromosome pool." In relation to the region of the Fertile Crescent, the same study noted; "In comparison with data available from other relevant populations in the region, Jews were found to be more closely related to groups in the north of the Fertile Crescent (Kurds, Turks, and Armenians) than to their Arab neighbors."

                                   

Approximately 35% to 43% of Jewish men are in the paternal line known as haplogroup J  and its sub-haplogroups. This haplogroup is particularly present in the Middle East and Southern Europe. 

15% to 30% are in haplogroup E1b1b(or E-M35) and its sub-haplogroups which is common in the Middle East, North Africa, and Southern Europe.

The Y chromosome of most Ashkenazi and Sephardi Jews contains mutations that are common among Middle Eastern peoples, but uncommon in the general European population, according to a study of haplotypes of the Y chromosome by Michael Hammer, Harry Ostrer and others, published in 2000. According to Hammer et al. this suggests that the paternal lineages of Ashkenazi Jews could be traced mostly to the Middle East.                                                

Religion drove Levantine Muslims to mix with other Muslim populations, who were close culturally despite the geographic distance, and this produced genetic similarities between Levantine Muslims and Moroccan and Yemeni populations. 

Christians and Druze became a genetic isolate in the predominantly Islamic world.
Genetic tests on Syrians were included in many genetic studies. The genetic marker which identifies descendants of the ancient Levantines is found in Syrians in high proportion. Modern Syrians exhibit "high affinity to the Levant" based on studies comparing modern and ancient DNA samples. Syrians cluster closely with ancient Levantine populations of the Neolithic and Bronze ages. A Levantine ancestral genetic component was identified; it is estimated that the Levantine and the Arabian Peninsula/East African ancestral components diverged 23,700-15,500 years ago, while the divergence between the Levantine and European components happened 15,900-9,100 years ago. The Levantine ancestral component is the most recurrent in Levantines (42–68%); the Arabian Peninsula/East African ancestral components represent around 25% of Syrian genetic make-up.                             

 The Syrians are closest to other Levantine populations: the Palestinians, Lebanese and Jordanians;  this closeness can be explained with the common Canaanite ancestry and geographical unity which was broken only in the twentieth century with the advent of British and French mandates. Regarding the genetic relation between the Syrians and the Lebanese based on Y-DNA, Muslims from Lebanon show closer relation to Syrians than their Christian compatriots. The people of Western Syria show close relation with the people of Northern Lebanon.

Besides religious identities, the Syrian people are split among three identities, the Arab, Syriac, and Syrian identities. Many Muslims and some Arabic-speaking Christians describe themselves as Arabs, while many Aramaic-speaking Christians and some Muslims prefer to describe themselves as Syriacs or Arameans. Also some people from Syria, mainly Syrian nationalists, describe themselves only as Syrians or ethnic Syrians. Most of the divisions in ethnic nomenclature are actually due to religious backgrounds.

                                                  

The researchers suggested that the approximately 12.7 percent of Ashkenazic Jews who have the Eu 19 chromosomes -- which are found among between 54 and 60 percent of Eastern European Christians -- descend paternally from eastern Europeans (such as Slavs) or Khazars. But the majority of Ashkenazic Jews, who possess Eu 9 and other chromosomes, descend paternally from Judeans who lived in Israel two thousand years ago. In the article in the November 2001 issue of The American Journal of Human Genetics1, Ariella Oppenheim of the Hebrew University of Israel wrote that this new study revealed that Jews have a closer genetic relationship to populations in the northern Mediterranean (Kurds, Anatolian Turks, and Armenians) than to populations in the southern Mediterranean (Arabs and Bedouins).

                                    

 Our data suggest that Eu 9 originated in the northern part, and Eu 10 in the southern part of the Fertile Crescent. Genetic dating yielded estimates of the expansion of both haplogroups that cover the Neolithic period in the region. The Neolithic Revolution started around 10,000 B.C. in the Fertile Crescent, a boomerang-shaped region of the Middle East where humans first took up farming. Shortly after, Stone Age humans in other parts of the world also began to practice agriculture.

Palestinian Arabs and Bedouin differed from the other Middle Eastern populations studied here, mainly in specific high-frequency Eu 10 haplotypes not found in the non-Arab groups. These chromosomes might have been introduced through migrations from the Arabian Peninsula during the last two millennia.

Refugees? All About Them

Not until after WWI was the protection of refugees first recognized as an international responsibility.  Millions of people found themselves as refugees and had to leave their country because of Political, racial or religious persecutions.
                                                                             

In 1921, Dr. Fridtjot  Nansen was appointed by the League of Nations as high commissioner for Russian and Armenian refugees.He created an identity certificate and a travel document for refugees.  This was called the Nansen passport.                           

The protection of refugees was continued by the Nansen Office of the League of Nations after his death.  In 1933 an international convention was held to prescribe their status.  Nazi persecutions were happening in this year causing another high commissioner of the League to be appointed for Jewish and other refugees from Germany.

James G. MacDonald, the first high commissioner, resigned after 2 years because of inadequate action by the members of the League.  Even his successor was restricted to the juridical protection of refugees.
                                                                         

In 1938, President Roosevelt of the USA convened a conference of government representatives at Evian to help with the emigration and resettlement of refugees.

By 1939, a most disastrous year for German Jews, the high commissioner for German refugees became director of the inter-governmental committee and responsible for all refugees under the protection of the League.  This is when Werner Oster, age 22, German Jew, left Germany but only because my great uncle had signed a paper to sponsor him in the USA.  He got my father to employ him, and he later became my uncle.  It was very expensive for Werner to be able to leave Germany, costing his parents a lot of money. He immigrated on ship SS Washington; costs $M350.  to New York, then Texas.

 His father had served in the German army and was a decorated soldier in the service of the Kaiser Wilhelm II, but was forced to scrub the streets because he was a Jew.  Many wore their uniforms while doing this to show people they had been good citizens.  Remember this fact when you feel secure in the USA.  Jews had lived in Germany since before 70 CE.  As it turns out, the Kaiser was anti-Semitic. He was for  ""regular international all-worlds pogrom à la Russe" as "the best cure" and further believed that Jews were a "nuisance that humanity must get rid of some way or other."  " I believe the best thing would be gas!"he said."  So much for being a patriotic soldier in Germany!

to keep Jews out of  Palestine. They thought up the "Final Solution."

During WWII, which commenced in Europe at about this time, the high commissioner worked to relieve refugees who were outside the Nazi occupied territories and improve the conditions of emigration.

The war was over by 1947 when the League office and the committee were replaced by an arm of the United Nations.  It was the International Refugee Organization which was a non-permanent specialized agency.

When Israel announced its birth after gaining the approval of the League of Nations and the United Nations again on May 14, 1948 and was summarily attacked on all sides by the Arabs, there became the problem of Arab refugees who had left their homes at the advice of their leaders who were attacking Israel.  The leaders wanted them out of the way of the barrage of bullets and ammunition.  They figured they would win quickly and the Arabs could then move into the Jews' homes if they wanted to.  Refugees concentrated themselves into Jordan and the Gaza Strip at this time.  They now became the concern of a non-permanent  specialized agency of the UN-UNRWA- United Nations Relief and Works Agency.
                                                                     

                                     The UNWRA definition of Palestinian refugees is "

UNRWA definition of Palestinian refugees: “People whose normal place of residence was Palestine between June 1946 and May 1948, who lost both their homes and means of livelihood as a result of the 1948 Arab-Israeli conflict.” As a rule, those displaced after 1948 do not qualify for UNRWA assistance."  Israel begged them not to leave, but their leaders' words meant more to them.  
A census taken in Palestine in 1945 found only 756,000 permanent Arab residents in what was to become Israel.  On November 30, 1947, the date the UN voted for partition, the total was 809,100.  The government of Israel took a census in 1949 and counted 160,000 Arabs living in the country after the war.  This means 650,000 Palestinian Arabs had become refugees.  A report by the UN Mediator on Palestine arrived at an even lower figure--472,000.  


The problem with the UNRWA definition is that Britain held  the mandate for 30 years.  In the late 30's when Jews were trying to get out of Germany, they couldn't get into Palestine where the Brits were to help Jews create the Jewish Homeland.  Instead, the Brits were allowing all the Arabs to enter. Jews couldn't enter other countries because they had to have baptism  certification, and being Jews, wouldn't have this.  That's why there were even that many at this point in time.  When Mark Twain toured Palestine in the late 1800s, there were hardly any he could find.  



Is this why Gaza children are taught to hate Israelis in school? 

I see nothing to have helped the same amount of Jews living in Arab lands who were forced out at the creation of Israel in 1948.  They fled to Israel and were taken in, first to live in tents, then finally regular housing.  They had been a people held back from progress that many of the Ashkenazi Jews had experienced.  They had much catching-up to do.  Living in Arab lands meant they were Dhimmis, 2nd or 3rd class Jews, not allowed certain privileges, like education, etc.  But that was what Israel was created for, a haven for its Jews, and so they took on the responsibility with loans from the USA to get by.  
The USA has paid most of the "over a billion dollars in UNRWA funds over the last 30+ years  up to 1984 for what was to have been "temporary relief before resettlement of 652,000 Arabs."  Since 1984, the $ is in the billions.  "$400 million a year goes to support the UNRWA’s promotion of terrorism; our government also redistributes a staggering $5 billion per annum to Palestinians: the people carrying out the yet another intifada, the people who elected Hamas – a formally designated terrorist organization under American law – to govern Gaza, and the people whose U.S.-supported Palestinian Authority has voluntarily formed a unity government with Hamas." - 
That isn't the only source of money for them.  "American Friends of UNRWA (UNRWA USA) is an independent 501c3 nonprofit that supports the humanitarian and human development work of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) through fundraising, advocacy, and outreach. UNRWA USA aims to educate the general American public about the situation of Palestine refugees and generate support for UNRWA's work in Gaza, the West Bank, Lebanon, Syria, and Jordan."  They are now counting 5 million Arabs as Palestinian Arabs under the UNRWA umbrella.                                                  


Such growth in numbers means that "UNRWA provides facilities in 59 recognized refugee camps in Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, the West Bank and the Gaza Strip, and in other areas where large numbers of registered Palestine refugees live outside of recognized camps.  They must all be labeled as refugees.  "With a total of $644,701,999 in contributions, the US, EU, UK, Sweden, Norway, Germany, The Netherlands and Japan pay 71% of the annual UNRWA budget." This has been going on since Israel was voted in as a state in 1948, 67 years .

In 1974, PLO Syrian leader, Zuheir Muhsein said in a PLO strategy discussion that many nations had already accepted the calculated interchange of images of the Arabs.  He saw the Arabs had managed to juxtapose the Israeli existence with a Palestinian one.  He explained the proposed "Independent Palestinian State" to be on the "West Bank", which was actually the ancient site of Israel and Judah.
                                                                           


 
     "Our purpose is a democratic State in the whole of Palestine.....(this means taking over Israel).  A State in the occupied areas will not constitute an obstacle.  The contrary is true---it will be a point of departure.....This State will be the backbone of our struggle against Israel."  
Arab states keep the Palestinian Arab refugee in camps dependent on UNRWA.  They are not allowed to enter their state to find work or living.  UNRWA has padded the list of people.  In 1961, John Davis, their Director, admitted that the refugee counts include other victims of the conflict of 1948 and that he thought it would be wrong to deny them aid merely because they weren't legally qualified.  Therefore, UNRWA contributed to further distortion of the already misrepresented and misunderstood refugee situation.  
The Arabs take the credit for having prevented Israel to be created earlier, before World War II.  Then the final solution to the Jewish problem might have been having their haven, not a Holocaust.  That's why the Jewish leaders started proceedings to have their own state before WWI had ended.  They saw the mood of the lands, and knew that finally, the day had come.  They could not depend on the goodness that they found lacking in countries to allow them to live in peace.  2,000 years of such a life was enough.  They had prayed to be again in Jerusalem and this is where they needed to go.  
Jews had been refugees after WWII.  They knew what it was like.  They did not expect the Arabs to put themselves in such a position, but they did by listening to their leaders who wanted them to be pitiful in order to gain sympathy and to make people feel repugnance for the Jews.

Theodor Herzl, newspaper reporter, had plans for the Jewish State when he wrote in 1896 Der Judenstaat.  "Palestine is our unforgettable historic homeland. . . Let me repeat once more my opening words: The Jews who will it shall achieve their State. We shall live at last as free men on our own soil, and in our own homes peacefully die. The world will be liberated by our freedom, enriched by our wealth, magnified by our greatness. And whatever we attempt there for our own benefit will redound mightily and beneficially to the good of all mankind.
This has come true.  Israel has shared with mankind all its inventions.  The Arab refugees were offered a state in 1947 and consecutive years after that but have refused.  While Israel lives and creates and shares its magnificence amid shelling of rockets, missiles and mortars, the refugees multiply in refugee camps and relive the Middle Ages.  Do not let this happen with today's refugees where their camps are like a chess game to hold against you.  
Syria was made up of 22,505,000 people before the Arab Spring. In 2009, Damascus had a population of 1.711 million people.   90% were Muslims of both Sunni and Shi'a.   Iraq had 31,234,000 with 97% Shi'a/Sunni.  Lebanon, a small country, had 4,196,453 with only 60% Muslims of Sunni/Shi'a.  They had had a large group of Christians who used to be the rulers.  


Obama has 190 cities selected to take in 10,000 Syria refugees. " Last year we took in 36.  "Of the more than 500 Syrian refugees brought to the U.S. so far this past year, 90 % of them have been Muslim,", Corcoran said..  Were they vetted during the past 2 years before allowed entrance?  Is that even possible?
