Winning the Gold in Marathon in European Athletics Championships: Israel

Israel's men's marathon team won the team gold medal at the European Athletics Championships in Birmingham, England, finishing with a combined time of 6:28:37 to edge out Germany by 34 seconds. Individual runner Gashau Ayale also secured an individual bronze medal.

Gashau Ayale: Finished 3rd individually with a time of 2:09:21 (Bronze medal).

1.Tadesse Getahon: Finished 5th individually in 2:09:31.

2.Haimro Alame: Finished 8th individually in 2:09:45.

3. Yitayew Abuhay: Finished 12th in 2:10:59.

4, Maru Teferi: Finished 22nd in 2:13:36.

5. Bukayawe Malede: Finished 35th in 2:18:28
