Donald Trump's Goofs at Republican Jewish Coalition Meeting

CNN announced this morning that Donald Trump is the front runner for the Republican Party.  Several pundits talked about him in their shows, something that is quite common.

The Prophet, Samuel had the duty of selecting the next King of Israel, and chose David while he was a child. David was an excellent shepherd and worked hard to keep all the sheep alive.   I'm no prophet, but was right when I said that Obama would not be a wise choice for us as President of the USA.  I wrote my reasons for this in 2008 and again in 2012 and felt he would be very bad for Israel.  What I did in that election was view all the candidates and write about each one.  Today I continue to see that I was right on.
                                                                             

I'll start today with Donald Trump even though we have to wait a whole year before anyone can be elected and a lot can change in a whole year.  This is the eve of Chanukah which starts tonight, and one can look at this declaration for Obama as his Chanukah gift, if he were Jewish, which he is not.  To be declared the front runner, though, a whole year in advance, must be an ego-builder.

Obama had earlier comments about "hard choices" that lay ahead.  "The talks resumed after three years as Israel approved the release of more than 100 Palestinian prisoners in order to get them going again."  Nobody else had to make such "hard choices."  

Donald spoke at the Republican Jewish Coalition  in Washington on Thursday and was very offensive to the Jews in his comment in which he made a gross offensive stereotype of Jews by saying, " You're not going to support me because I don't want your money. Isn't it crazy?"
                                                                                 

 He also said that Jewish people were "good negotiators," which again is describing a whole group with one adjective.  Not all are good negotiators, Trump.  Haaretz mentioned in the Israeli newspaper his comment that he would not accept their donations  because he is mostly funding his campaign himself, and therefore cannot be bought.  He was implying that those that donate expect something in return.

Israelis in Israel also took his statement with offense, and were not happy with him since he has declined to support Jerusalem as the undivided capital of the country, something the USA keeps on refusing to accept.

At this gathering, the presidential candidates went there to show their solidarity with Israel, and today's front-line candidate did not say much at all to ingratiate the Jewish Republicans.  Trump plans on meeting with Netanyahu this month for a planned visit.  I hope he will experience some enlightening.

Yes, Trump.  I wouldn't back any candidate monetarily who didn't back Israel.  That's why I didn't want to vote for Obama, but then I'm an anomaly among American Jews.  Most have to have rock solid evidence of this negating Israel's rights, and I just saw it coming with little evidences appearing.   You're giving out rock solid evidence with your words at this meeting.

Now for Donald's  webpage.  What is he saying in it about Israel?  What is his stand?  Perhaps it's too early to declare how he feels about this tiny state, which the evangelicals running have been already commenting about orally on TV.  There is nothing said about it, yet, but he has laid down his opinions already on IS, information on people being gathered, marijuana, gun control, and on another website, has listed such subjects as trade, the VA, taxes, 2nd amendment rights and immigration.  Nothing on Israel. Is this brazen man afraid to commit to Israel for fear of losing votes?  That shouldn't be the case where he continually puts his foot in his mouth and garnishes votes for it instead of losing them.  Or is it as I fear that he doesn't want to say because he will lose votes for not whole-heartedly backing Israel.

What have the others already written on their webpages about Israel?  Off-hand, I know that former governor Mike Huckabee is a big-time backer of Israel.  Other governors, Jeb Bush, Chris Christie, Jim Gilmore, John Kasich, and George Pataki must be researched.  As for senators, Ted Cruz, Lindsey Graham, Rand Paul, Marco Rubio and Rick Santorum also need to be researched for another article.  Off-hand, I'd say right now that Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio are supporters.  Carly Fiorina is a supporter.  I think Ben Carson is also, but just made the funny by calling Hamas as Hummus-the dip all Israelis enjoy eating.  Oy!  Ben!

I hope Trump will learn a lot on his trip to Israel and his meeting with Netanyahu.   Either way, front runner or not, a little education can't hurt!
