Ending The War A Must In Gaza and Why

 Nadene Goldfoot

According to The Washington Post, Israel has deployed five divisions into the Gaza Strip This means there are at least 50,000 IDF soldiers in there. I'm stumped at choosingGideon, who only had 300 soldiers to work with-his choice, too. 300 soldiers, in the U.S. Army and Israeli IDF, would typically make up a battalion. A battalion is a sub-unit of a regiment, generally consisting of 300 to 1,000 soldiers. While a division can consist of 10,000 to 15,000 soldiers, a battalion is a smaller, more manageable unit.

Yes, according to The Washington Post, Israel has deployed five divisions into the Gaza Strip as part of a renewed ground offensive.

Here's a summary of the situation:

  • Operation Gideon's Chariots: The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced the start of "Operation Gideon's Chariots," which involves extensive ground operations in both northern and southern Gaza.
  • Eastern border of Egypt northward along the coast for 22 miles, average width 8 miles. The 1967 census found 352,260 in the Gaza Strip of whom 172,520 were refugees.  From 1967 to 2025-the past 58 years, they have remained dependent on the UN listed as refugees unable or unwanting to find better homes elsewhere.
Brig. Gen. Effie Defrin b: 1972 (53 yrs old)
is an Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) Brigadier General, which serving as the current IDF Spokesperson .His last position was Head of the Tevel Division. The term "Tevel Division" refers to the International Cooperation Unit within the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), responsible for the IDF's foreign relations.
  • Another I turn to for facts is Lt. Col. Jonathan Conricus.  Jonathan Conricus (Hebrewיהונתן קונריקוס; born 1979-46 yrs old) is a Swedish-Israeli spokesperson and media commentator. He was the international spokesperson of the Israel Defense Forces from 2017 to 2021. Conricus is a senior fellow at the think tank Foundation for Defense of Democracies, based in Washington, DC, in the United States. He was an officer in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), in which he served for 24 years.
  • Five Divisions: IDF spokesman Brig. Gen. Effie Defrin stated that five divisions are currently operating within Gaza. This represents a significant escalation of the ground offensive.
  • Airstrikes Preceding Ground Operations: The ground offensive followed a week of intensified airstrikes by the Israeli Air Force (IAF), targeting what the IDF said were over 670 "Hamas terror targets".
  • Objectives of the Operation: The IDF says the objectives include dismantling terrorist infrastructure both above and below ground, and deploying troops in key positions within Gaza. The operation aims to exert pressure on Hamas.
  • Humanitarian Concerns: The renewed offensive coincides with a severe humanitarian crisis in Gaza, exacerbated by a prolonged blockade on aid entering the territory. There have been reports of rising malnutrition and a lack of essential supplies.
  • Ceasefire Talks: The ground offensive is occurring while ceasefire negotiations are ongoing in Doha. Hamas has confirmed its participation in the talks.
An anonymous source familiar with the discussions stated that U.S. officials conveyed to Israeli counterparts that failure to conclude the war would lead to a withdrawal of American backing. Trump must remember that Obama threatened but didn't follow through.
  • Now, Trump has threatened and must follow the consequences. US President Donald Trump has issued what he called a "last warning" to Hamas to release the hostages being held in Gaza.  "I am sending Israel everything it needs to finish the job, not a single Hamas member will be safe if you don't do as I say," Trump said in a lengthy post on his Truth Social platform.  .  Hamas accused the US president of encouraging Israel to break the ceasefire deal currently in effect between the two sides.     Trump's statement came just hours after the White House confirmed it was holding direct talks with Hamas over the remaining hostages.
  • It's important that this takes place.  Otherwise, Trump's threats will mean nothing to Iran, and the USA is trying to stop Iran from its goal of having Atomic weapons to thrust at Israel and the United States.  Besides that, Israel has been defending themselves from Hamas's attacks for too long.  It's time to end the suffering from it.  You know the USA would never had allowed one missile to hit their land without retaliation.  Israel has been bombarded by Iran itself at least twice, now, and has been held back .  The light is now green.

Yes, Israel is sending  5 divisions in Gaza to end the war.  A complete division in the Israeli army, also known as the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), typically comprises 10,000 to 15,000 soldiers. Here's a breakdown of what a division typically includes:

  • Combat troops: Roughly a third of the division consists of combat personnel.
  • Support roles: The remaining soldiers provide crucial support in areas such as logistics, intelligence, and other essential functions.
  • Some may be women.  The structure of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) differs from most armed forces in the world in several ways. These include the close integration of air, ground, and sea forces, and the conscription of women.

Zahal (Israel's military) is maybe the finest fighting force in the world. This goes especially for their infantry.

Units like the IDF’s “Oz” Commando Brigade or the “35th Paratroopers Brigade” are recognized worldwide for their excellent combat performance. These are elite fighting units.

The rest of Israel’s infantry also consists of battle-proven units with longstanding traditions and proud combat records.

Andrew J. Stein: Democrat, Leader of Democrats For Trump

Nadene Goldfoot

Andrew J. Finkelstein b: March 4, 1945
A miracle has happened this morning.  Andrew J. "Finkelstein"  Stein has stepped up to the plate and announced that he's a Democrat  on Trump's side.  I wondered if anyone would see today's history in a different light.  He has been and has decided to form the group of Democrats on Trump's side--Democrats For Trump.

What makes him more reasonable?  He's " a politician who served on the New York City Council and was its last president, and as Manhattan Borough President.  When he stepped into politics, he changed his surname from Finkelstein to Stein.  His father was Jerry Finkelstein, born Albert Finkelstein and mother was Shirley Marks who married in 1942." He was well known for his series of public hearings into the management practices of nursing homes in the state" of New York.

He's a leader in politics.  "As city council president, Stein served as the presiding officer of the city council, was acting mayor in the absence or disability of Mayor Edward I. Koch, was a voting member of the New York City Board of Estimate, and handled constituent and policy issues. Stein derived most of his power from his seat on the Board of Estimate, which was made up of the mayor, the city comptroller and the city council president, each of whom had two votes, and the five borough presidents, each with one vote.  Stein was re-elected City Council President in 1989."

"Stein retired from the city council presidency and from public life in the city. Since leaving office, he has pursued private business as a partner in Arapaho Partners, LLC, a business consulting firm based in New York City."  He hasn't kept  all his friendships Democrats.  He dated the famous conservative, Ann Coulter, so must have at least listened to some of her opinions.  I'm glad he didn't date Debbie Wasserman Schultz of Florida!  Or maybe he did!  I don't know.

In November 2016, Stein had said to a NY magazine, the Wall Street Journal in an op ed that he endorsed Trump though he was a Democrat.  "“I believe my party has become the party of the elites and moneyed class and has deserted its historic mission as the party of the working class and disadvantaged.” Therefore, he argues, “I believe Donald Trump will make a great president and I ask my fellow Democrats to vote for him.” His father must have been of the opinion as my father had been about the Democrat Party.  Most Jewish families had grown up thinking this and have been Democrat supporters as they have remained so .  It's been ingrained in us to be Democrats, in my opinion, since our parents felt they owed so much to Franklin Delano Roosevelt for taking their parents in as refugees escaping Hitler.  He said i;n 2016, "I have been steeped in the Democratic Party all my life. My father, Jerry, was a New York City Democratic chairman and power broker, and I grew up in and around the Democratic Party. "

Yet this was announced today that Stein is now the leader of Democrats for Trump, so he hadn't changed his opinion.  Now he's going to try to do something about the situation of Democrats nay-saying Trump regardless of what it's about.  Our country has never been so divided since the Civil War of the 1860s.  Never before have our values been so different, either.

Andrew,  "a lifelong New York Democrat, explained to Neil Cavuto why he is separating from many in his party to support Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump."

He defends Trump of the accusations made by the Left.  " He refutes the charge that Trump is a racist by asserting, “Donald Trump is no racist,” a defense that may not fully address every concern on this front. His affirmative case for Trump states, “He is for strong pro-growth policies like reducing the marginal and corporate tax rates and eliminating thousands of job-killing and business-stifling regulations, the biggest of which is ObamaCare.”

"The country is not only divided, it is separated. For decades, researchers pointed out that shifting demographics—including the tendency among those with advanced degrees to move away from where they grew up—our communities have grown more ideologically homogenous. "

From the looks of the situation as it stands today, Andrew might be the only person in his group.  I hope it grows.  People have dug down as if they are defending their choice of football groups.
