An Answer To the Nazis About Whether Jews Are Inferior People Or Not

            Me, chosen as Queen Esther at our Portland Purim Ball in 1951.  After this honor, I had the responsibility of another layer of being Jewish that has never left me.  It gave me a unique zeal all my life for our history.  Of course we Jews are not an inferior people.  Nazis peddled such nonsense to their people and  many of their people fell for it as it was in agreement with the already present anti-Semitism.   Yet who keeps winning most of the Nobel prizes?  Jews!  More Jews keep winning, way over the % one would think for such a small group of people-0.02% of the world population.  Nobel prizes are given for outstanding findings in a certain field. The Nobel Prizes are five separate prizes that, according to Alfred Nobel's will of 1895, are awarded to "those who, during the preceding year, have conferred the greatest benefit to humankind." Alfred Nobel was a Swedish chemist, engineer, and industrialist most famously known for the invention of dynamite.     

In the nineteenth century, religion played a less important role in Germany. It was replaced by theories about the differences between races and peoples. The idea that Jews belonged to a different people than the Germans, for instance, caught on. Even Jews who had converted to Christianity were still 'different' because of their bloodline.

My answer to the Nazis about whether Jews are different from other races and peoples or not is because they believed we were very different enough and evidently they didn't like it as they plotted and worked at eradicating all Jews in the whole world.  

The Nazis considered Germans to be members of the supposedly superior “Aryan” race. They saw the so-called Aryan German race as the strongest, and most valuable race of all. They had lost WWI and were trying to give them a shot in the arm of pride, evidently, which had been tarnished.  It's sad to think that it all depended on winning wars or not. It's harder to accept that we lost 6 million people because of their lies.  

Scientific fact shows that there is no such Aryan race, by the way.  

 They thought Jews belonged to a separate race that was inferior to all other races. 

 Actually, a good part of German men's Y haplgroup is either R1b or R1a and even more I.  I is  found in most present-day European populations, with peaks in some Northern European and Southeastern European countries.  Haplogroup I appears to have arisen in Europe. 

According to the Nazis, Jews were not Aryans. ( By saying this they were denying them the right to citizenship--taking away their equality.)  Jews had lived in Germany since Roman days since they have found Jewish soldiers in the Roman garrisons.    By the 9th century there were town with lots of Jews such as Metz.  In the 10th century Worms had many Jews. 

Here's where Reformed Judaism didn't help those Jews at all.  Nazis didn't care if we were Reformed, Conservative or Orthodox Jews.  We all were destined for the gas chambers or being shot like in a shooting galley. One Jewish grandparent and you were doomed.   

 The Nazis believed that the presence of Jews in Germany threatened the German people. They believed they had to separate Jews from other Germans to protect and strengthen Germany. The Nuremberg Laws were used as an important step towards achieving this goal.  

According to the Nuremberg Laws, a person with three or four Jewish grandparents was a full-blooded Jew. A grandparent was considered Jewish if they belonged to the Jewish religious community. Thus, the Nazis defined Jews by their religion (Judaism), and not by the supposed racial traits that Nazism attributed to Jews. Your parents could be assimilated, maybe even Christians, but those grandparents !  

The Law for the Protection of German Blood and German Honor was a law against what the Nazis viewed as race-mixing or “race defilement” (“Rassenschande”). It banned future intermarriages and sexual relations between Jews and people “of German or related blood.” The Nazis believed that such relationships were dangerous because they led to “mixed race” children. According to the Nazis, these children and their descendants undermined the purity of the German race.  They admired or thought of themselves as blonde blue-eyed people, a standard set for themselves;  yet Hitler himself was the opposite.  

This legal definition of a Jew in Germany covered tens of thousands of people who did not think of themselves as Jews or who had neither religious nor cultural ties to the Jewish community. For example, it defined people who had converted to Christianity from Judaism as Jews. It also defined as Jews people born to parents or grandparents who had converted to Christianity. The law stripped them all of their German citizenship and deprived them of basic rights.

According to our own basic Jewish law, one is Jewish if they had a Jewish mother.  It was mothers who not only gave birth to the child, but raised it as well, educating the child and how they acted was copied by the child.    

According to the Civil Service Decree, a German could be classified as "non-Aryan" if only one grandparent was Jewish.  To further complicate the definitions, there were also people living in Germany who were defined under the Nuremberg Laws as neither German nor Jew, that is, people having only one or two grandparents born into the Jewish religious community. These “mixed-raced” individuals were known as Mischlinge. They enjoyed the same rights as “racial” Germans, but these rights were continuously curtailed through subsequent legislation.

Well, my answer is that I'm Jewish and proud of it. I'm one of the 2% Jewish population making up the USA, and am also part of the rare  0.02% of world population of Jews.   I'm proud to have genes from Jewish people, and have found through DNA that I have genes that go back to Rashi, born in 1040, a very famous French rabbinical scholar who commented on different pages in the Bible. Jews have had so many bottlenecks in our history and I'm here and alive !  That's an accomplishment and a gift of life. l'chaim ! So many Jewish lines of families existing for generations since Moses were wiped out.  So few of us left to carry the ball and represent the Jewish people.  

  I'm also Nationalistic and view Israel as deserving of its existence as well, being I now have Israeli citizenship after living there for a little over 5 years.  But as far as being different, it's in the genes and what they carry for me from my ancestors.  Everyone's genes have nucleotide bases and almost all (99.9%) are exactly the same in all people;  and-not get this shock, Mr. Nazi, 97% of our nucleotide bases are the very same as the chimpanzee's.  

The question should be whether environment or genes decide on our personality, our decisions, our politics and beliefs.  My Jewish genes certainly seem to be helping me along.

When Marie Jana was born, her father was serving as a press-attaché at the Czechoslovak Embassy in Belgrade. The signing of the Munich Agreement in September 1938—and the German occupation of Czechoslovakia by Adolf Hitler's troops—forced the family into exile because of their links with Beneš. 

Madeleine Korbel Albright was almost 2 years old when her parents whisked her out of Czechoslovakia in March 1939, less than two weeks after the Nazi occupation, giving up their life as a prominent Czech diplomatic family and saying goodbye to many relatives. Eventually, she and her parents came to America, where Madeleine followed in her father's footsteps into a diplomatic career that culminated two weeks ago when President Clinton made her the first female secretary of state.

Josef and Anna converted from Judaism to Catholicism in 1941. Marie Jana and her siblings were raised in the Roman Catholic faith. In 1997, Albright said her parents never told her or her two siblings about their Jewish ancestry and heritage.  I had always heard that her birth parents had died and she was adopted.  

However, such as person as the past Secretary of State, was Madeline Albright, who didn't know of her Jewish heritage until the Washington Post told her. She has decided to remain a Catholic.  So with her, it's all environment, she thinks, probably.  I think her skill comes from her genes, however. I'm a big proponent of genes having much to do with us. Environment,  in my opinion, can magnify or deter our skills. It can squash all the good that our genes can give us if bad enough, though many of us have risen out of the ashes of the Holocaust from baby to adulthood. 

I've been thinking a lot lately, and see squashing our religion as reflective of losing our values given to us through our genes, however.  I see Jews off track who have given into Hellenization.  Perhaps we were protected by our history of values found in our religion;  that fence around us like the kashrut laws keeping us in remembering that we have standards to live up to. Our job since the beginning has been to set a good example.  It's a heavy expectation considering all that has happened to us.         

Jewish Intelligence And Our DNA Y Haplogroups

Albert Einstein didn't learn to tie his shoes right away, but had a high IQ.                                              

"The geographic origins of the 14 different haplogroups were ascertained from the phylogenetic tree of mankind maintained by the International Society of Genetic Genealogy (ISOGG, 2016), and published sources. They are summarized in Table 4. Table 4. Ancient geographic origins of 14 Y-chromosome haplogroups."  The top-level haplogroups are expressed as letters (A, B, C, etc.). Their sub-haplogroups or subclades are expressed as letters and numbers (G2, R1b1, E3b1b, etc.)."

"The data revealed that 14 different haplogroups representing 14 different geographic origins were present in the 50 ethnic groups used in this study (Table 3), confirming multiple lines of ancestry and geographic origins. Every ethnic group had members that belonged to more than one haplogroup, indicating that they had different lines of ancestors. There was no ethnic group in these analyses that could trace the genetic ancestry of all its members to a single MRCA. For example, members of the large Brahmin ethnic group belonged to 11 different haplogroups, indicating 11 different lines of

ancestors. Similarly, the Malayali and Nair groups had members in 10 different haplogroups, indicating at least 10 different ancestral lines."  

The 14 were:  C,E, F, G, H, I J, K, L, O, P, Q, R and T.  Letters I've highlighted are known Jewish ones of the male line.  My father is a QBZ67 (Q-M378).  Others in my family are E-L117(E1b), J1e,  and  (R-M269)(R-L21) .   E and J have been the most prevalent that I've noticed.

Jews' history shows that we came from one source, the history before and after Moses, following his line of male ancestors.  The results of his brother, Aaron's line shows the haplogroup of J1 being the Cohen line. Other Jewish haplogroups fall under variations of J, such as J1, J2, and G, Q, R, E, I, and T.  That's 7 out of the basic 14 mentioned.  These are found in the era after the Holocaust where 6 million Jews were slaughtered, and some of them could have been carrying a different haplogroup, but we'll never know unless they left a descendant who has been tested today such as my 1st cousin.  However, in our case, the father died and left only daughters, and daughters do not carry the male haplogroups.  Sons carry both the male and female haplogroups.  He was a Jew from Germany, a long line probably going back to RASHI in 1000-1040 CE.  There are many of us who claim to have genealogy to Rashi, and we may come from a variety of haplogroups.  

R-M269 is a most interesting Haplogroup.  It is the sub-clade of human Y-chromosome haplogroup R1b that is defined by the SNP marker M269. According to ISOGG 2020 it is phylogenetically classified as R1b1a1b. It underwent intensive research and was previously classified as R1b1a2 (2003 to 2005), R1b1c (2005 to 2008), R1b1b2 (2008 to 2011) and R1b1a1a2 (2011 to 2020).R-M269 is of particular interest for the genetic history of Western Europe, being the most common European haplogroup. It increases in frequency on an east to west gradient (its prevalence in Poland estimated at 22.7%, compared to Wales at 92.3%). It is carried by approximately 110 million European men (2010 estimate). The age of the mutation M269 is estimated at 4,000 to 10,000 years ago. I believe even King Tut was found with this haplogroup.  It's carried by Gentiles of Europe and some Jews as well. They discovered that King Tut had a DNA profile that belongs to a group called haplogroup R1b1a2.

We are a religious group originating from a family, and were kept from proselytizing to others, so it's mostly genetically-based with a few exceptions.  Jews have been suffering from anti-Semitism for almost their total length of existence, and have become an endogamous people.  One person I've heard of has wanted to be a part of this group and that was Sammy Davis, Jr.  A few women have entered Judaism  through conversion, marrying a Jewish man.  

What happens is that we may have proof of a family being a branch from, let's say, King David, but not all the descendants carry segments from any of his 22 chromosomes or even the 23rd, the sex determiner chromosome.  So some of the siblings may have the gene inheritance and some don't.  Siblings in a family may not look alike, or act alike.  They may have different interests and outlooks in life.  That's because their parents have passed onto them a variety of their segments from many different ancestors.  

My father's DNA group of Qs had a leader at one time who made a survey and found its  Q members held a lot of writers.  They even included me, a female since I had published.  That seems to be one of our talents. I was astonished at how many, mostly all had published, including my own brother.

Albert Einstein is alleged to belong to Y Haplogroup E. Tested Einsteins from Germany belong to E1b1b1b2* (cluster SNP PF1952, formerly known as the E-Z830-B or "Jewish cluster").

      Einstein had a daughter and two sons.  Albert's three children were from his relationship with his first wife, Mileva Marić, his daughter Lieserl being born a year before they married. He had one grandson and 4 great grandsons and 1 great granddaughter.  

The Einstein family is the family of physicist Albert Einstein (1879–1955). Einstein's great-great-great-great-grandfather, Jakob Weil, was his oldest recorded relative, born in the late 17th century, and the family continues to this day. Albert Einstein's great-great-grandfather, Löb Moses Sontheimer (1745–1831), was also the grandfather of the tenor Heinrich Sontheim (1820–1912) of Stuttgart.

Albert Einstein's second wife was Elsa Einstein, whose mother Fanny Koch was the sister of Albert's mother, and whose father, Rudolf Einstein, was the son of Raphael Einstein, a brother of Albert's paternal grandfather. Albert and Elsa were thus first cousins through their mothers and second cousins through their fathers.  No children were from this marriage.                                 

As a Jewish group, we seem to still be pretty intelligent people, and very creative as we examine the talents in Israel.  They are always coming up with new ideas.  The Nazis tried to brainwash people into thinking we were the scum of the earth, but who has merited and holds  Nobel Prizes in many fields?  Jewish people. Nobel Prizes have been awarded to over 900 individuals, of whom at least 20% were Jews."  That's pretty good, considering we Jews make up only 0.02% of the world population."Jewish laureates Elie Wiesel and Imre Kertész survived the extermination camps during the Holocaust. François Englert survived by being hidden in orphanages and children's homes. Others, such as Walter Kohn, Otto Stern, Albert Einstein, Hans Krebs and Martin Karplus fled Nazi Germany to avoid persecution."

 There were many male Jewish immigrants who were most intelligent but couldn't get into Medical schools in the States because of the quota system;  of only a certain % of Jews being allowed in them.  The country's loss was hopefully the student's gain as they had to enter other areas, hopefully related to medicine.  

That's because for a long time in Shtetles, a man was looked upon as good husband material if he was active in the synagogue, reading Hebrew from the pulpit, etc., something all men who had had a bar-mitzvah at age 13 were expected to do, actually.  Rabbis were high on the list.  Many of us have followed their genealogy to a well-known rabbi.  A rabbi was known to have all the answers people in a community were looking for, spiritually, customs of worship, and worldly.  Women were attracted to the smarted kid on the block, not the brawniest.  It's nice when that comes in one package, though.                               

I would hope that this standard would be combined sometimes, like, wasn't Bar Kokhba, the general in 132 CE who re-took Jerusalem after 63 years of having lost it to the Romans, romantic material?  It's sad,  because he died 3 years later.   He had to be brainy and brawny.  He could have become the idol for many women looking for a mate.  

It is believed that the majority of contemporary Jews descended from the ancient Israelites that had lived in the historic land of Israel until ∼2000 years ago which takes us to 1023 CE. Many of the Jewish diaspora communities were separated from each other for hundreds of years. Therefore, some divergence due to genetic drift and/or admixture could be expected. However, although Ashkenazi Jews were found to differ slightly from Sephardic and Kurdish Jews, it is noteworthy that there is, overall, a high degree of genetic affinity among the three Jewish communities. Moreover, neither Ashkenazi nor Sephardic Jews cluster adjacent to their former host populations, a finding that argues against substantial admixture of males. These findings are in accordance with those described by Hammer et al. (2000).  In other words, there was no mixing of populations where they lived, no hanky panky going on causing pregnancies.   

Ashkenazi Jews 

Ashkenazi Jews consolidated into a distinct ethnicity in Germany during the Middle Ages and spread eastwards to Poland and Russia in the 13th century (Ben-Sasson 1976). Previous studies of Y chromosome polymorphisms reported a small European contribution to the Ashkenazi paternal gene pool (Santachiara-Benerecetti et al. 1993; Hammer et al. 2000). In our sample, this low-level gene flow may be reflected in the Eu 19 chromosomes, which are found at elevated frequency (12.7%) in Ashkenazi Jews and which are very frequent in Eastern Europeans (54%–60%; Semino et al. 2000). Alternatively, it is attractive to hypothesize that Ashkenazim with Eu 19 chromosomes represent descendents of the Khazars, originally a Turkic tribe from Central Asia, who settled in southern Russia and eastern Ukraine and converted en masse to Judaism in the ninth century of the present era, as described by Yehuda Ha-Levi in 1140 a.d. (Dunlop 1954).

Sephardic Jews 

Iraqi and North African Jews are both considered to belong to the ethnically heterogeneous group of Sephardim, although the two communities were probably separated for 1,000 years.

The Jewish community in Iraq was formed by deportees during the Assyrian and Babylonian exiles (723 and 586 b.c.)

and by waves of immigrants in subsequent centuries. Communities in various North African countries and in the Iberian Peninsula were established primarily in the course of the Muslim conquest in the seventh and eighth centuries. After their expulsion from Spain in 1492 a.d., Jews were dispersed in North Africa and Southern Europe (Ben-Sasson 1976).

The two Sephardic communities and Kurdish Jews are very closely related to each other.

Thus, these populations seem to have preserved, to a large extent, their original Y chromosome pools.

How Anti-Semitism Was Fed By Racism

The needful unity of all races in the story of Creation is found in the bible in Genesis.  We are told of the common origin of all men, coming from Adam and Eve and their sons, Cain and Abel.
                         
By our 19th century, the Western world  realized the existence of the Aryan and Semitic families of languages and this led to the theory of the existence of Aryan and Semitic races.  Later, the Teutons (Germanic or Celtic people) exemplified the Aryan group and the Jews the Semites.  At this time they believed in the theory that Jews were physically homogeneous and that there was a correlation between physical type and mental-cultural characteristic.  They then deduced that Jews and a few other groups were regarded as racially "inferior." The scientists have rejected this theory.  By the end of the 19th century, this became a basic conception of the revived anti-Jewish movement in Germany which, in the new era of tolerance, could no longer base itself exclusively on religion and, moreover was confronted with large numbers of Jews in whose lives Judaism played no part.  This happened mainly in Germany.

This unfounded theory got into the hands of E. Duhring, Wilhelm Marr, H.S. Chamberlain, A. Rosenburg, Hitler, etc. and became a deadly weapon.  It became a fundamental principle of the Nazi movement from the outset.

I have to interject here that it belies all facts, especially in Germany.  From the onset, Jewish rabbis, intellectuals of the highest caliber,  had emigrated to the Rhineland in the year 1,000 CE where they centered in Worms, Germany.  Worms became an intellectual center for Christians afterwards.  Jews have managed to take care of themselves very well when others couldn't find jobs.  This was no mark of inferiority of races but magnified their capabilities.  If anything, the common German could have been feeling jealousy, not thinking of Jews as inferiors.  One thing, they couldn't understand why Jews didn't believe in Jesus, as most Germans were Catholics.

Yet, this unscientific and damning theory became a part of the Nuremberg Laws in 1935, where intermarriage was absolutely forbidden between Jews and "Aryans".  New laws were laid down against all persons with 2 or more Jewish grandparents.  Even in Fascist Italy, Germany's partner in WWII, 1938 saw the Italians adopting these laws on its Jews. From 1939 to 1945 during the war, other countries adopted the same laws.  These laws became extermination laws that the Germans carried out against Jews.  They got so carried away exterminating Jews that they even exterminated Christian clergymen and priests who had only the vaguest Jewish connections.  6 million Jews were slaughtered in WWII.  We now have 6 million living in the USA and 6 million living in Israel with 2 million scattered in other countries.

These unscientific theories finally were laid to rest as evidences of racialism where they went by craniometry (cranial measurements).    And I say to anyone who still harbors such ill will towards Jews as being inferiors:  how about who wins all the scientific prizes in this world?  Jews do, showing that Jews are not lacking in brains.  I wonder what they would say if they realized that Neanderthals were covering Europe but none were in Africa?  Germany would have had many of them.

We have Jewish football players in National football (NFL) and I can guarantee you that when they took a class, they actually studied and passed it on their own.  We now have learned of so many whose university abetted players in cheating for their grades.  Andrew Kline of the St. Louis Rams is one from 2000 to 2003. We have a lot of coaches and executives, too.  We have Jews in other sports as well.Hank Greenberg (1911-1986) was a famous baseball player and played for the Detroit Tigers and Pittsburgh Pirates ball clubs.  Later he became the manager and owner.   My favorite was Mark Spitz, swimmer. 

 In boxing, my father's sport, we had  Max Baer ("Madcap Maxie"), USA, world champion heavyweight.  He wore a Star of David on his trunks, and was inducted into the International Jewish Sports Hall of Fame. Baer had to quit school in the 8th grade to help his father on their cattle ranch in Omaha, Nebraska.  He was born in 1909.  Working on the ranch is attributed to be the reason for Baer's strength.  He turned professional in 1929 and won 22 of his first 24 fights; 9 with first-round knockouts  Max died on November 21, 1959.  My father was a boxer.  Morris Goldfoot was called Billy Meshke in Portland, Oregon, USA where he boxed.  He was born in 1908 and died in 1967, boxing when he was in his 20's. Like Max, he had to quit school but in his Junior year of high school and had to give up baseball  in order to support his family.  He didn't like to be hit when boxing, though, so got out and into the meat business.

 Basketball finds playing for the Dallas Mavericks, was Gal Mekel from Israel, NBA's 6'3" point guard.  .So Jews are certainly not afraid of getting into sports.    
                                                                           

I wonder if the Arabs realized the unbelievable compact they had made with Hitler who was acting out of his Aryan superiority belief and the Semites of which they were a part whom the Germans thought were an inferior people.  It was an incongruous union.  

Jews have won many Nobel prizes which perplexes some people who still hang onto the theory of Jews being an inferior people. Richard Dawkins, biologist, author and atheist, was also perplexed.  He said it was " pure religion and culture.  Something about the cultural tradition of Jews is way, way more sympathetic to science and learning and intellectual pursuits than Islam. "   At least 194 Jews and people of half-or 3/4 Jewish ancestry have been awarded the Nobel Prize, accounting for 23% of all individual recipients worldwide between 1901 and 2014.  That's pretty good for a people who make up less than 0.2% of the total world  population.  This year 6 of 12 laureates were Jewish. That's 50%.  

I've just touched on 2 things; Athletics and Nobel prizes  which show that we are not an inferior race by any means, nor are we a pure race, though we started from Abraham's family group.  As it turned out, most people throughout the ages have been kept from intermarrying with us.  Despite that, we have had our own Romeo and Juliet stories through the ages,  especially in Germany and in Eastern Europe,  just like the early TV sitcom of Abie's Irish Rose happening in Brooklyn.  
                                                                         

Getting into Medical Schools has always been very hard.  Since the 20's there had been a rule of only taking in a small % of Jews. Yes, there was a quota on Jewish students.   The facts were that more Jews passed the qualifications than were allowed entrance.  If we could have, every Jewish family would have had a doctor in their family.  We do not have a lack of brains.  Our fathers have told us, "You can only carry away so much of your money if, G-d forbid-tragedy hits like the stock market falling, but you always have your knowledge in your head.  We've been encouraged to go for higher education since the beginning of time.  It's something we can take with us.  

Jews have waited for 2,000 years to return to their homeland, Israel and Judah.  They've  had to metamorphose from scholars into warriors again, but they gained their homeland and have held it for the past 66 years.  They have showed the world that they are no inferior people to be chastised and subjugated.  They're leading the world in many fields today.

Do You Really Want to Boycott Jewish Goods and Inventions?

A short time ago, Iran's Supreme Leader Grand Ayatollah Ali Khamenei urged the Muslim world to boycott anything and everything that originates with the Jewish people.
