Antisemitism Malcom X,
Malcolm X was an antisemite. His autobiography contains several "antisemitic charges and caricatures of Jews".
Alex Haley, my favorite genealogist, the autobiography's co-author, had to rewrite some of the book to eliminate a number of negative statements about Jews in the manuscript.
Malcolm X believed that the fabricated antisemitic text The Protocols of the Elders of Zion was authentic and introduced it to NOI members, while accusing the Jewish people of "perfecting the modern evil" of neo-colonialism. He helped change the Black community's image of The Holocaust, engaging in Holocaust trivialization and claiming that the Jews "brought it on themselves".
In 1961, Malcolm X spoke at a NOI rally alongside George Lincoln Rockwell, the head of the American Nazi Party. Rockwell claimed that there was overlap between Black nationalism and White supremacy. Malcolm X's negative statements about Jews continued even close to his death, referring to Jews as "bloodsucker[s]" in statements he made during the last months of his life.
In today's world, our president is trying to put an end to anti-Semitism, and
Malcolm X was one of those who were turning the Black community
against Jews.
Now an opera has been written in his name, glorifying Malcom x by doing
so. One of 'THE VIEW' members was advocating going to see this opera.
How much do you want to bet that they leave out his life of being an anti-
Semite? How much of our younger citizens have studied about this history?
Which reminds me that Oprah Winfrey produced a marvelous TV soap opera
of the Black Community's religious people which included fantastic music
which I adored. It was called Greenleaf, and Oprah also acted in it.
Greenleaf is an American drama television series created by Craig Wright, and executive produced by Oprah Winfrey and Lionsgate Television. Clement Virgo also serves as an executive producer and director. It stars Keith David, Lynn Whitfield, and Merle Dandridge. Greenleaf premiered on the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN) on June 21, 2016.[1]
On November 23, 2018, OWN renewed the series for a fourth season. The fourth season premiered on September 3, 2019. On November 15, 2019, OWN confirmed the renewal of a fifth and final season of the series, which premiered on June 23, 2020. A spinoff of Greenleaf is in the works at OWN, and will focus on Whitfield's character and her new role as senior pastor. The music was fantastic. That' s something to be glorified
; quite an accomplishment. Oprah could be glorified easily
instead of someone like Malcolm X.
