I just saw Daniel on the News I get on Youtube and thought he did a great job! Daniel Hagari (Hebrew: דניאל "דני" הגרי; born 1976) 47 years old, is an Israel Defense Forces Rear Admiral (Tat-Aluf) who currently serves as the head of the IDF Spokesperson's Unit. Hagari joined the Israel Defense Forces in March 1995, and volunteered to the naval special operations unit, Shayetet 13. Hagari is married and has four children. He has a bachelor’s degree in philosophy and a master’s degree in diplomacy and defense, both from Tel Aviv University. Former IDF Spokesperson, Ran Kochav, in an official undated portrait. Ran Kochav "RanKo" is an Israel Defense Forces brigadier general who was the IDF Spokesperson, as the commander of the Israeli Air & Missile Defense Forces and as the chief general officer of the Military Police Corps.Previously Daniel Hagari has served as the commander of the Israeli Navy's operations directorate, the Chief of Staff's assistant, Commander of Shayetet 13 and the office of the Chief of Staff.
He has seen battles during his 28 years of service. He was there during 11 battles with October 7th's called Operation Swords of Iron.

On March 29, 2023, he was appointed Chief of the IDF Spokesperson's Unit to succeed Ran Kochav. Hagari's appointment was the continuation of a recent policy to tap career military officials instead of civilian journalists as head of the Spokesperson's Unit.
It's a relief to hear the news from a serviceman in the know.
