The Prophesized In-Gathering Of Jews In Israel

 Nadene Goldfoot

Lots of people don't realize that the continuing immigration to  Israel had been prophesized long ago.  The prophecy of the ingathering of Jews (known in Hebrew as Kibbutz Galuyot) is a foundational tenet in Jewish eschatology, promising that God will gather the scattered Jewish people from the "four corners of the earth" and restore them to the Land of Israel in the end of days.  Well, it's been happening, right in our very own time;  hard to believe, isn't it?   This prophecy is primarily found in Isaiah 11:12, where God promises to assemble the outcasts of Israel and gather the dispersed of Judah from the "four corners of the earth."

Joshua entered Canaan with 601,730 Israelites (Jews).  They had been prisoners of Egypt for the past 400 years building storage buildings for the Egyptians.   Israel's Jewish population passed the 6 million mark for the first time in 2013. According to data released by the Central Bureau of Statistics that year, the milestone was considered symbolically significant as it was equivalent to the number of Jewish people killed in the Holocaust. Yes, we lost 6 million Jews in the Holocaust.

Ofra Haza (Hebrew: עפרה חזה; 19 November 1957 – 23 February 2000) was an Israeli singer, songwriter, and actress, commonly known in the Western world as "the Madonna of the East", or "the Israeli Madonna". Of Yemenite-Mizrahi descent, Haza performed music known as a mixture of traditional Middle Eastern and commercial singing styles, fusing elements of Eastern and Western instrumentation, orchestration and dance-beat, as well as lyrics from Mizrahi and Jewish folk tales and poetry.

Some Jews From Yemen, Ofra Haza's line

The largest waves of Jewish immigration (Aliyah) to Israel came from the former Soviet Union (mainly Russia and Ukraine), followed by mass exoduses from Middle Eastern and North African (MENA) countries.  When: The largest influx occurred following the collapse of the Soviet Union in the 1990s, with continued arrivals well into the 2000s, although when I made Aliyah in 1980, lot of Russians had already arrived in Haifa.  When: Following Israel's independence in 1948 and throughout the 1950s, large populations fled or were expelled from Arab nations. Major contributors include Morocco, Iraq, Yemen, Iran, and Tunisia.

Jews from Eastern and Central Europe can by the hundreds of thousands driven by the Holocaust.  They helped with the  founding of the state, and came as subsequent post-war waves from places like Romania, Poland, and Hungary in the late 1940s and 1950s.
A lawyer from Kenya was one of my pen pals..As I remember, he came to do his milueem and finally moved his family to Israel.  He's one I admired very much.

  • Gashau Ayale: one of many outstanding runners from Ethiopia Won gold for Israel's team at the 2025 European Athletics Championships and has been a top finisher in elite international races.  Ayale was born in the village of Gojam in Ethiopia to Tabak (his father) and Tesfia (his mother), and is Jewish. He was born into the Beta Israel ethno-religious community of Ethiopian Jews.
Ethiopians came by the 10s of thousands by different airlifts.
  •  Notable organized airlifts, such as Operation Moses (1984) and Operation Solomon (1991), brought significant communities from Ethiopia.
  • This divine promise of restoration is a major focal point across the Hebrew Bible, emphasizing the ultimate redemption and return of the exiles.
                                made aliyah from France
The rising tide of anti-Semitism and fear of terror attacks prompted the largest immigration of Jews to Israel from Western Europe in history during 2015. The Jewish Agency reported that 9,880 Western European Jews made aliyah to Israel in 2015, the largest annual number ever recorded. The vast majority of these immigrants (7,900) came from France, where there were two large national terror attacks as well as many individual violent attacks against Jews during the year. An estimated 800 of these individuals made aliyah from England. In total, 2015 saw 31,013 Jewish individuals from around the globe make Aliyah to Israel, a 12-year high.

Approximately 135,000 Jewish Americans have made Aliyah to Israel since the country's establishment in 1948. In recent years, an average of 3,500 to 4,000 North Americans immigrate to Israel annually. Driven by a surge in Zionist solidarity, 4,150 Jewish individuals relocated from North America to Israel, which marked a four-year high.

Mordechai Deluca never considered delaying his move to Israel from the United States because of the war with Iran. If anything, the opposite is true. “My worry was, how could I get there as fast as possible?” said Deluca, 39, who arrived in Israel on March 9, just eight days after the war with Iran began.  Deluca, who grew up in North Carolina, said that being physically present in Israel during such a crucial time was important to him. He spent last year’s war between Israel and Iran in Washington, D.C., and “being so far away made me feel so much more powerless,” he said. Deluca had first thought about making aliyah, or immigrating to Israel, after he went on a Birthright Israel trip 20 years ago. His desire intensified after Oct. 7, 2026 which he spent in Israel, and where he attended a funeral for a lone soldier who didn’t have immediate family in the country.

My mother's Bon Voyage party before leaving for Israel

I made aliyah in 1980 with my husband and a German shepherd.  I had to return by end of 1985 due to the illness of my son back home in Oregon.  Sometimes that can happen, especially with American Jews, I think. Then I was a Yored.   The English cannot do that as they lose their citizenship with England by accepting it from Israel.  That's why I started blogging by 2004;  trying to defend Israel.

Following their expulsion and after the fall of Jerusalem to the Romans in 70 CE, the majority of the Jews were dispersed throughout the world. The Jewish national idea, however, was never abandoned, nor was the longing to return to their homeland. Throughout the centuries, Jews have maintained a presence in the Land, in greater or lesser numbers; uninterrupted contact with Jews abroad has enriched the cultural, spiritual and intellectual life of both communities.

Lebanon; Center of Hezbollah Also Mentioned in Biblical Prophecy

Nadene Goldfoot

Philistines: Yes, the Philistines are mentioned in the Bible more than 250 times, and are one of the most prominent ancient peoples in the Bible.

The Bible mentions Lebanon 71 times in the Old Testament, but only in reference to its natural features. Lebanon is a sacred land that was part of the Promised Land. The name Lebanon comes from the Hebrew word laban, which means "white" and refers to the snow-capped mountains. The Bible mentions Lebanon's cedar trees, which were a valuable source of lumber for the Israelites. The Bible also mentions Lebanon in relation to the Theophany of the Lord.

The Philistines expanded into neighbouring areas and soon came into conflict with the Israelites, a struggle represented by the Samson saga (Judges 13–16) in the Hebrew Bible. Possessing superior arms and military organization, the Philistines were able (c. 1050 BCE) to occupy part of the Judaean hill country.

A mysterious prophecy found in Psalm 83 describes a confederacy formed to fight against Israel. “They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance. For they have consulted together with one consent: they are confederate against thee” (verses 4-5).  Psalms is said to have been written by King David (1010 BCE-970 BCE)

Which nations are to be part of this alliance? Verses 6-8 answer: “The tabernacles of Edom, and the Ishmaelites; of Moab, and the Hagarenes; Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalek; the Philistines with the inhabitants of Tyre; Even  Assyria  joined with them: they became the strong arm of Lot's sons, Selah (pause and listen). ”  The modern Middle Eastern nations included in this alliance are Turkey, the Gulf states, Jordan, Syria and Lebanon.

Psalm 83 is the historical enmity of the nations against Israel and is an outgrowth of hatred for that which Israel stands for:  the complete subordination of all human striving to G-d's will.  It was written after saying in 82  that a prerequisite for the continued existence of the world was the maintenance of equity and justice.

But we also know, based on another prophecy, in Daniel 11:40-43, that Lebanon will no longer be allied with Iran. This passage describes an epic clash between two great end-time powers: “And at the time of the End shall the king of the south will clash with him: and the king of the north will storm against him with chariot, horsemen and many ships;  he will invade countries, flood them and pass through.  Then he will invade the coveted land.  many will stumble, but these will be saved from his hand:  Edom, Moab and the choice parts of the Children of Ammon.  He will stretch forth his hand against land, and the land of Egypt will not be a survivor. Etc.

The book of Daniel seems to be referring to the 4 persecuting kingdoms of Babylonia, Media, Persia (Iran today) and Greece.  The historical events may be about Antiochus Epiphanes of Syria who was a wicked ruler.  This was the beginning of the Maccabean revolt c.165 BCE.  Daniel's chaps 2:4-7:28 are in Aramaic and exercised a profound influence on the following mysticism.

The only major nations missing from this list of Israel's persistent enemies are Egypt and Babylon. There may be several reasons for their omission. First, the context speaks of a particular historical "confederacy" against Israel, and Egypt and Babylon may not have been part of it. Second, as major powers in the region, Egypt and Babylon were generally unconcerned about Israel, or at least did not posses the visceral hatred of God's people that these other nations did. Third, the peoples that are mentioned were either ethnically related to Israel or lived in close proximity to her, while Egypt and Babylon are not related to Israel and inhabited distant realms.

Beirut is the capital of Lebanon.  A Jewish settlement is thought to be ancient, because the town received benefactions from Herod.  By the 12th century only 50 Jewish families lived there. Exiles from Spain then entered after 1492.  6,000 Jews lived here by 1940.  After 1948's birth of Israel, Jews fled from Syria and settled in Beirut first.  Then they left before the 1967 War. and in 1975 there were 1,000 left.  They then left during the Civil War.  by 1990 only about 100 Jews remained.

A year after Hamas’ Oct. 7 attack, Israel has opened a new front in Lebanon against Hezbollah, which has traded fire with Israel since the war in Gaza began.  The Iran-backed Shiite militia was considered the most powerful non-state group in the Middle East, but an Israeli military campaign against Hezbollah in 2024 has considerably weakened it.

DEIR AL-BALAH, Gaza Strip (AP) — A new round of airstrikes hit Beirut suburbs late Sunday as Israel intensified its bombardment of northern Gaza and southern Lebanon in a widening war with Iran-allied militant groups across the region. Palestinian officials said a strike on a mosque killed at least 19 people.  Beirut’s skyline lit up again late Sunday with new airstrikes, a day after Israel’s heaviest bombardment of the southern suburbs known as the Dahiyeh since it escalated its air campaign on Sept. 23. It was not immediately clear if there were casualties.

Hezbollah terrorists attack Israel from Lebanon and are financed by Iran. Israel’s military has stepped up strikes on southern Beirut in recent days. On Saturday, Israeli strikes hit Beirut’s southern suburbs, as Israel’s military issued evacuation notices to residents and said the strikes targeted Hezbollah’s “terrorist infrastructure.”

Israel’s military said it had intercepted four drones and 20 projectiles that had crossed from Lebanon into Israeli territory early Saturday, setting off sirens in the Western Galilee border area.

The driving distance from Damascus (DAM) to Beirut (BEY) is 84 miles / 135 kilometers, and travel time by car is about 1 hour 38 minutes.

We're in a time of change.  The change started on October 7th with the invasion of Hamas and their devastating attacks on kibbutzim so close to Gaza. This period is also a very technical period where one can have a little robot gobble up dirt on the floor for you, where a voice you install tells you when to take your meds, AI (artificial intelligence) spacecraft going past the moon, etc.  It's different from the 1950s.

Some people call this the END of TIMES, or the END OF DAYS,  though evidently our Israeli government wasn't quite aware of it. Those people happen to be Jews, Christians and Muslims)!   The government ignored a year ago warnings (Jericho Wall)  that came to them of what Hamas was up to and they didn't take it seriously.

Warnings during the End of Times!  Insane, especially since so many Orthodox Jews are now in the government.  It looks like all the up to date security installed didn't do a thing.  It was all disabled first by the enemy.  People didn't even have any German shepherds to warn them.

Well, it looks like our prophets talked a lot about the End of Times, and that was a good 3,000 years ago. Even 1,000 years ago, what was imagined for End of Days?  What was imagined for them so long ago when the End of Days would come?  Did they ever think we'd make it to the year 5783 (Hebrew calendar) ?

It looks to me like Isaiah spoke the most. He prophesied from (740-701 BCE) and was from a noble family connected with the royal court, put to death by King Manasseh of Judah (692-638 BCE) son of Hezekiah who succeeded him at the age of 12, one of the worst Jewish monarchs we've had. He had cancelled his father's reforms, reintroduced pagan practices.  he put to death those who opposed him. The traditional view is that all 66 chapters of the book of Isaiah were written by one man, Isaiah, possibly in two periods between 740 BC and c. 686 BC,.

According to the chart above, he spoke of dead bodies;  men being killed by fire (on Oct 7th it was everyone-during WWII, also everyone);  Earthquakes;  all nations gathered (UN forces?) to war;  a beast or anti-?( some false leader);   signs in the sky (UAPs-unidentified anomalous phenomena )  October 7th covers the dead bodies, death by fire, and UAPs clearly.  We've had earthquakes lately, and the UN is part of the problem aiding and abetting Hamas with their one unit of workers specifically created to help only the Palestinians since they have been on the dole the longest, staying in Refugee camps into the 3rd generation now;  signs in the sky-UFO/UAPs and false leaders galore.

Yet, all the other prophets also had something to warn about as well.  I notice we were warned by Ezekiel and Daniel  of the KINGS of the North, South and East but not any from the WEST.  Interesting.  That could mean that the USA of the West was okay-well, they are one who is backing Israel to a point with Gaza and with Iran.  They do not understand totally what or why but care for their own standing in the world first, but that's understandable-to a point.

Mostly, the prophecies are about the happening when the Jews were taken by Nebuchadnezzar to Babylonia.  Many see this as prophecy for NOW.  To think that the prophecies were made before that fatal time in 597 BCE is amazing in itself; let alone think it was also going to be replayed again now.  Let's hope it wasn't as gory a time as it was on October 7th.

Nebuchadnezzar, king from 605-562 BCE:  In 597 BCE he captured Jerusalem and exiled 8,000 of the local aristocracy  to Babylon. He had put 21 year old Zedekiah (597-586 BCE), son of Josiah,  in place of King Jehoiachin.  8 years later even Zedekiah rebelled, so Nebuchadnezzar invaded Jerusalem again in 586 BCE and this time destroyed the Temple and destroyed cities and exiling masses more of the population.  Zedekiah was taken to Riblah where they executed him.  His sons were killed before him on purpose and his eyes were put out before he was imprisoned in Babylon until his executed.   Daniel wrote a lot about Nebuchadnezzar.

Daniel wasn't a prophet but is listed above as such.  He wrote.  His "10 nations" above about King Nebuchadnezzar's dream  interpretation that he didn't like28-But there is a God in heaven who reveals secrets, and He has informed King Nebuchadnezzar what will be at the End of Days.  Your dream, and the visions in your head on your bed, are these:  Interestingly, the writing started in Hebrew but switched to Aramaic from 2:4 until the end of chapter 7.  It's an interesting but convoluted story.  This king wanted to be the best in all of history and was told that as the chest is lower than the head, so will the kingdom that follows you, that of the Persians and Medes, be inferior to yours.  That's the end of days that Nebuchadnezzar thought of.

US soldiers fire artillery in Afghanistan's Kandahar province in June 2011. Operation Enduring Freedom was launched in October 2001 to stop the Taliban regime from providing a safe haven to al Qaeda and to stop al Qaeda's use of Afghanistan as a base of operations for terrorist activities.

Notice what happened on October 7th in years earlier:  2001 War in Afghanistan begins:  American and British troops began air strikes against Al Qaeda and Taliban targets after the Taliban refused to hand over Osama bin-Laden, the mastermind of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, and other Al Qaeda operatives, to the United States.   Nicknamed Operation Enduring Freedom, the military strikes were part of the so-called Global War on Terror. The war on terror, officially the Global War on Terrorism, is a global military campaign initiated by the United States following the September 11, 2001 attacks and is the most recent global conflict spanning multiple wars. Perhaps 2001 was the countdown's beginning.

  • 1944 Auschwitz-Birkenau Sonderkommando Revolt

The short-lived rebellion was staged by prisoners who worked at a crematorium after they learned that the Nazis planned to execute most of the squad. The revolt was quickly put down, and over 450 people were killed.

  • Iran has replaced Nebuchadnezzar's power these days.  It seems that all the terrorist groups, Hamas, Hezbollah, etc, are backed by iran.  According to their Shi'a Muslim religion, "According to Shias, Mahdi will be looked upon to kill Dajjal to end the disintegration of the Muslim community, and to prepare for the reign of Isa (Jesus), who will rule for a time thereafter.
    "
Mahdi is a messianic figure in Islamic tradition who will "rid the world of bid'ah (innovation), reestablish Sunnah and teach religion...". The word Mahdi does not appear in the Quran (al-hadī, or "guide" appears twice), but is found in hadiths and is said to be the sign between Minor signs and Major signs of Day of Resurrection. Some Shia Muslims regard him as the first sign of the third period. Hadith reports state that he will be a descendant of Muhammad through Muhammad's daughter Fatimah and cousin Ali's son Hassan."  This must be saying it will be an Iranian, no doubt an Ayatollah.  What will he look like?  "He will be of Arab complexion, of average height, with a big forehead, large eyes, and a sharp nose. He will have a mole on his cheek, and be recognized by the Muslim community while he sits in his own home. As written by Abu Dawud, "Our Mahdi will have a broad forehead and a pointed (prominent) nose. He will fill the earth with justice as it is filled with injustice and tyranny. He will rule for seven years." Other sources say five or nine years."

  • Iran has not been the same since On January 16, 1979, the shah left the country, and Khomeini assumed control. He had been working with Israel.

Fashion in pre-revolutionary Iran: Pahlavi Era 1950s-1970s ...

  •  Although the shah did not abdicate, a referendum resulted in the declaration on April 1, 1979, of an Islamic republic in Iran ruled with an Ayatollah-Khomeini.  In December 1979, a new Iranian constitution was approved, naming Khomeini as Iran's political and religious leader for life. Under his rule, Iranian women were denied equal rights and required to wear a veil,

  • Western culture was banned, and traditional Islamic law and its often-brutal punishments were reinstated. Sunnis were all worked up now.

  • By 1979, The Palestine Islamic Jihad (PIJ) is a Sunni Islamist militant group seeking to establish an Islamist Palestinian state that is committed to the destruction of Israel. It is the second-largest militant group in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, founded in 1979 as an offshoot of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt. The group has drawn inspiration from the Iranian revolution and receives support from Iran, Syria, and Lebanese Hizballah. PIJ’s military wing, al-Quds Brigades, has been responsible for many attacks on Israeli targets since the 1990s. PIJ sometimes operates in coordination with HAMAS, although the groups have had a tense relationship because PIJ occasionally disagrees with HAMAS’s strategy for confronting Israel.
