The October 7th Massacre Lingers On

 Nadene Goldfoot

The aftermath, Israeli volunteer medics reveal never-before-told stories of battling Hamas, rushing to save lives on Oct. 7: ‘Like a scene out of the Walking Dead’

The October 7 attacks were a series of coordinated armed incursions from the blockaded Gaza Strip into the Gaza envelope of southern Israel, carried out by Hamas and several other Palestinian militant groups in 2023, during the Jewish holiday of Simchat Torah.

How an ultra-Orthodox Jew saved 50 Israelis on ‘Black Shabbat’ Here are people hiding under beds??The assault, which took place on Shabbat—the day of rest for the Jewish people—instantly became known among Israelis and the world as “Black Saturday.” On October 7Trey Yingst was on the ground along the Gaza border and witnessed firsthand the devastation, shock, and deep sorrow that whirled through Israel.

The attacks, which began the ongoing Gaza war, were the first large-scale invasion of Israeli territory since the 1948 Arab–Israeli War. In response, Israel launched a large-scale military operation in Gaza.  .There has been a backlash against Israel for doing so.

The 2023 attack was so vicious, so bloody, so gory and unbelievable that such things could happen in 2023, that Israel was left stunned.  They had thought that their electric fences had been enough protection and the atmosphere was good at the time.  Palestinians were coming into their homes to work, everything was kol b'seder.

According to an Israel Defense Forces (IDF) report that revised the estimate on the number of attackers, 6,000 Gazans breached the border in 119 locations into Israel, including 3,800 from the elite Nukhba forces and 2,200 civilians and other militants. Additionally, the IDF report estimated 1,000 Gazans fired rockets from the Gaza Strip, bringing the total number of participants on Hamas's side to 7,000.

In total, 1,195 people were killed by the attacksat least 828 civilians (including 36 children and 71 foreign nationals)and at least 367 members of the security forces.

364 civilians were killed while they were attending the Nova music festival and many more wounded. About 250 Israeli and non-Israeli civilians and soldiers were taken as hostages to the Gaza Strip. Dozens of cases of rape and sexual assault reportedly occurred, but Hamas officials denied the involvement of their fighters. As of January 26, 2026, all 251 hostages abducted from Israel on October 7, 2023, have been accounted for: 168 were returned alive to Israel throughout the conflict, while the remaining captives were either killed in captivity, rescued deceased, or died during the initial attack. The final body of a hostage was recovered by the IDF on January 26, 2026.

So, Yesterday, May 4th,  the IDF eliminated a Hamas Nukbah commander who had participated in the October 7 massacre, in northern Gaza. The IDF stressed that the terrorist posed an imminent threat to troops operating in the Gaza Strip and was eliminated in a precise aerial strike. The IDF also noted that before the strike, multiple measures were taken to mitigate the risk of harm to civilians, including the use of precise munitions and aerial surveillance. They always have done this before, trying to fight Terrorists and not civilians.  Now they try to pinpoint commanders, etc.  who are on their list.

The concept that those who attack Israel will face divine retribution, often described as "heavy stone" judgment or severe punishment, is a frequently cited theme in biblical prophecy, particularly in the Book of Zechariah. It highlights a promise of protection for Israel, with a warning that opposing them results in self-destructive consequences.

A BLIND-FOLDED WORLD GOVERNMENT

 Nadene Goldfoot

I am still reeling over the attack on Israelis and visitors in homes along the border of Gaza such as Kibbutz Re'im during their "Nova Festival", an idea brought from Europe,  when I think of the horror in how they were butchered, burnt, decapitated and disfigured in their death throes. There they were dancing, happy to be alive, celebrating a Jewish holiday of peace, Sukkot, a harvest festival, and they were suddenly out of the blue attacked while in a secure and safe outdoor field with no hint whatsoever that the people these kibbutzim had worked hard to make friends with, who had come almost every day to work in their homes and fields and other jobs would turn violently against them as an army and go crazy.

The Hamas-led attacks on October 7, 2023, occurred during the Jewish holiday of Simchat Torah. The assaults were a large-scale, coordinated operation that struck numerous Israeli communities in a short timeframe, making it difficult to pinpoint a single "first" kibbutz attacked.Multiple kibbutzim in the Gaza envelope were among the earliest targets of the coordinated raids, including:
The Jewish holiday of Simchat Torah follows Sukkot and celebrates the completion and immediate restart of the annual Torah reading cycle. In the Diaspora (outside of Israel), this is a two-day event called Shemini Atzeret and Simchat Torah, with Shemini Atzeret being the first day. In Israel and some other communities, these two holidays are combined into a single celebration, and though Re'im was not an orthodox community, the young people did like to dance.
  • Kibbutz Be'eri: Infiltrated by terrorists around 6:00 a.m., who shot at homes and killed and kidnapped residents.
  • Kibbutz Kfar Aza: Breached by terrorists around 6:29 a.m., who arrived on paragliders, motorcycles, and cars.
  • Kibbutz Re'im: Attacked by gunmen around the same time as the massacre at the nearby Nova Music Festival, which began around 6:22 a.m..
Evyatar David is 24 years old, born December 24,2000
  • TEL AVIV — When Hamas released a video of Evyatar David, he looked so frail and emaciated that his father did not recognize his voice, the Israeli hostage’s brother said Monday. David, now 24, was partying at the Nova music festival in southern Israel on Oct. 7, 2023, when militants kidnapped him and 250 others nationwide during their sweeping terrorist attack in which 1,200 were killed.

The October 7 attacks were a series of coordinated armed incursions from the Gaza Strip into the Gaza envelope of southern Israel, carried out by Hamas and several other Palestinian militant groups on October 7, 2023, during the Jewish holiday of Simchat Torah, which follows Sukkot. The attacks, which were the first large-scale invasion of Israeli territory since the 1948 Arab–Israeli War, initiated the ongoing Gaza war.

Technological vulnerabilities: Hamas exploited Israel's heavy reliance on technology for border security, a strategy they internally referred to as the "blinding plan". Using drones, they were able to neutralize key surveillance and communications infrastructure along the border, including cameras and remote-controlled weapons systems. This effectively blinded Israeli forces and prevented them from responding in a timely manner. I wonder if my German Shepherd idea wouldn't have worked better!  HOPE THEY LOOK TO THIS AS AN ASSESSORY TO OTHER MEANS. They're great at alerting people.

How can such people be on this earth on October 7, 2023?  They were so wild and violent!  What kind were they that the genie had let out of the bottle? Such mad bloodthirsty people !!!

Estimates suggest that approximately 3,000 to 6,000 individuals from Gaza, including militants from Hamas and other groups, along with some civilians, participated in the October 7, 2023, attacks on Israel.  This attack was found to have been planned for during the past 3 years by Hamas leadership !

  • Approximately 1,200 people were killed in Israel during the incursion.
  • Total IDF casualties: In late August and early September 2025, reports indicated that 900 to 904 IDF soldiers had been killed.
  • Killed on October 7: 329 soldiers were killed during the initial Hamas attack on October 7, 2023.

Hamas managed to take 251 people as hostages into the GazaStrip.  The captives included civilians, soldiers-both male and female, children including wee babies, and elderly people who were not only Israelis but visitors from other countries as well.

Today is the 709th day since this war started with the attackbeing the impetus .  That's almost 2 years short of 21 days.

As of late August and early September 2025, 148 of the original hostages taken on October 7, 2023, have been returned alive. This includes individuals who were released by Hamas during truce agreements and those rescued by the Israel Defense Forces.  That leaves 103 hostages.  Word is that barely 20 are still alive at this hour.  Israelis want their children returned, both dead and alive ones.

Israel, given the green light, flew the  1115 miles (1795 kilometers) to Qatar where the Hamas heads hang out in luxury hotels using email with their underlings,   and tried to do away with the HeadHamas leadership, but according to Hamas, missed a few ofthem.  I bet they won't sleep well from now on as most had justmoved to another room to say their prayers.

On Wednesday, September 11, perhaps in commemoration of 9/11 and the Twin Towers in New York, the evangelical CharlieKirk was assassinated, who was a staunch friend and defenderof Israel.  Because President Trump was a friend to him, he has become a martyr to many people;  never intending to be such.  He was only 30 years old and father of 2 small babies. Just this year  Kirk said that "No non-Jewish person my age has a longer or clearer record of support for Israel, sympathy with the Jewish people, or opposition to antisemitism than I do". In July 2025, Kirk warned his followers against hatred of Jews, calling it "evil" and "demonic". Some Jewish public figures have defended Kirk against accusations of antisemitism, citing his pro-Israel stance. It makes no difference of who he angered;  assassination of speakers and believers is wrong.  He hadn't killed thousands and thousands of people, not even one person. He believed in debate;  airing both sides of an issue.

Today, the UN tells us that they have voted for the 2 state solution allowing Palestine to be recognized as another of the 50 some Muslim majority states in the world. There were 12 abstentions.

September 12, 2025: Resolution on the Two-State Solution

On September 12, 2025, the UN General Assembly voted to endorse the "New York Declaration" to advance the two-state solution between Israel and Palestine.
  • Result: 142 in favor, 10 against, 12 abstentions.  those 10 against such a resolution that rewards the Palestinians for their cruelty in killing Jews :
  • Argentina, Hungary, United States, Tonga, Israel, Micronesia, Nauru, Palau, Papua New Guinea,  and Paraguay

Our world has become a blind-folded one who are on theopposing side of righteous beliefs.

Continue of Core of Jewish People Part VI

 Nadene Goldfoot

                             The old City of Jerusalem

October 7, 2023 was an attack by the Hamas-led Palestinian planned about 3 years earlier that was a complete surprise to the Jews living along the borders of Gaza.  They plunged in and slaughtered the population in such gross ways that it will be remembered within the soul of all Israelis forever and more.

  • Following the October 7th attacks, which killed approximately 1,200 people (mostly Israeli civilians) and resulted in the taking of around 250 hostages, Israel formally declared war against Hamas.  Israel initiated a "complete siege" of Gaza, cutting off essential supplies, followed by airstrikes and a ground invasion.  Over a million Palestinian civilians were ordered to evacuate northern Gaza ahead of the ground invasion.
  • The conflict has led to a severe humanitarian crisis in Gaza.  Hamas uses food as ammunition against Israel, stealing food from trucks brought in full of food, then selling it to its own people at high prices, made sure Hamas was fed, not citizens;  shooting own people to keep them away from trucks, use pictures of propaganda showing starving children or setting up actual scenes for photographers showing how people were hysterical, All the while Israel and USA were trying in different ways to fool them and bring in food.  Much has gone to waste due to their lies.  .
Ceasefires and negotiations
  • On November 2023, a temporary truce led to a limited exchange of hostages and prisoners and increased humanitarian aid, but hostilities resumed.        Lebanon's Hezbollah  army and Yemen's Houthi
  • The conflict has escalated regional tensions, with attacks and skirmishes between Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon, Houthi rebels in Yemen targeting shipping in the Red Sea, and other Iran-backed groups attacking US military positions.
  •                                              Attacking Iran
  • Israel and Iran have exchanged direct strikes.
  • By November 2024, a ceasefire agreement was announced between Israel and Hezbollah in . The International Court of Justice (ICJ) is hearing allegations of genocide against Israel brought by South Africa.
  • The International Criminal Court (ICC) prosecutor has applied for arrest warrants against top Israeli and Hamas leaders for alleged war crimes.  The UN Security Council has adopted resolutions calling for pauses in the fighting, the release of hostages, and increased aid.
  • By January 2025, a second ceasefire and hostage release deal were announced, but Israel renewed its offensive in March. Firing rockets: Hamas and other militant groups have repeatedly violated ceasefires by launching rockets and shells into Israel, according to Israel's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.Rejecting or violating humanitarian lulls: In some instances, Hamas rejected or violated humanitarian ceasefires or windows for aid delivery.Attacks on IDF forces: Hamas also violated a ceasefire by launching an attack on Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) soldiers.
  • Refusing to release hostages: Israel and the Trump administration have blamed Hamas for the resumption of hostilities by citing their refusal to release more hostages in exchange for continued talks on a lasting truce.
  •  As of August 8, 2025, and adding many to their count,  over 60,000 Palestinians have been killed, and more than 144,000 injured, according to OCHA (based on Gaza Ministry of Health statistics).  Over 90% of homes in Gaza have been damaged or destroyed, displacing most of the population, according to the IRC.  The UN reports that almost half of Gaza's 36 hospitals are partially functional, understaffed, lacking supplies, and overwhelmed.  More than two million Palestinians lack sufficient access to water, food, and medical care.  Reports of famine and disease outbreaks, including polio, have emerged.
  • The UN Human Rights Office has documented numerous attacks on schools, designated humanitarian zones, healthcare workers, and journalists.

  • Yes, the emblem of the tribe of Judah is a lionIn the Bible, particularly in Genesis, Jacob refers to his son Judah as a "young lion". This imagery became associated with the tribe of Judah and is a symbol of strength, royalty, and leadership. The Lion of Judah is a prominent symbol in Jewish tradition and culture, representing the tribe's significance and lineage, especially in relation to kings like David and Solomon.

June 13, 2025  and Operation Rising Lion of Israel was underway.  Operation Rising Lion was the name of a large-scale military operation launched by Israel against Iran, who are using Hamas like an octopus uses its arms.  The name "Rising Lion" (or "Am K'lavi" in Hebrew, which translates to "a people like a lion") evokes imagery of Israel as a powerful and determined force defending itself. The imagery also echoes the former emblem of Iran (a lion and sun that appeared on flags before 1979) and serves as a message directed at Iranian leadership. Some commentators also link the name to the biblical Book of Numbers, specifically a verse that describes the people of Israel rising up like a lion. , like Judah is pictured in our minds:  The tribe of Judah remained of the 12 tribes,

  • International Reactions: The strikes drew condemnation from some states and sparked debate among international legal experts regarding their legality under international law.Response: Iran responded by launching drones and missiles towards Israel, causing casualties and damage.Allied Support: The United States conducted supporting attacks on Iranian facilities following Israel's initial strikes.
  • The months of July and August 2025 have seen a dangerous escalation in the conflict between Israel and Hamas, marked by intensifying military action, a deepening humanitarian crisis in Gaza even though many speakers have explained to the world how Israel is feeding, not keeping food out of Gazans mouths, , and rising international condemnation of Israel's lied-about policies since they are swallowing it hook, line and sinker. They'd put their faith in the lying terrorists who started the war on October 7, 2023 and even took hostages they refuse to return but are aiming to take overall of Israel.
  • Israel’s Security Cabinet approved a plan to expand military operations and take control of Gaza City, a move opposed by Israel's military chief and deemed a "dangerous escalation" by the UN.  Prime Minister Netanyahu defended the plan as necessary to defeat Hamas and ensure Israeli security, despite warnings about its humanitarian consequences.  (For the 1st time in history, Israel is held responsible in feeding their enemy which would possibly allow the enemy to overtake them !!!)  No one wants to see that the responsibility lies in the Hamas governing power who were the leaders of Gaza.  The plan includes a phased evacuation of Gaza City residents by October 7th and the establishment of "humanitarian islands" to house them, according to CNN.  Netanyahu said, "“Contrary to false claims, this is the best way to end the war and the best way to end it speedily,” he said. “This is how we bring the war to an end.”  Also, Trump has added his pressure on Netanyahu's shoulders by telling him to end the war now.
  • In retrospect, our core is LIFE;  to believe in life, ours and others,  in our secular life as well as our religious life which has created our core.  Though one may not show it by attending synagogue, it's there, in one's core values, 99.9% of the time.  It will show up, somehow.
  • We are, it seems, always fighting people of other values, in this case, Islam which has an opposite idea of death by being rewarded for their fights with 72 virgins awaiting their favors.   They do not value life.  How can one create an environment of peace ?

United Nations Security Council: Determined to Make Jews Insecure, Part III

 Nadene Goldfoot

The Six Day War of 1967 , imagine;  a war over in 6 days!  Israelis danced for the first time in Jerusalem where they had been kept out by Jordan.

   UN Security Council

The UN discussed the problems with Israel over the Six-Day War of June 1967 until November when a resolution was passed calling on the Arabs to end their state of belligerency with Israel and for Israel to withdraw its troops.  During the following years, Israel-Arab relations were constantly before the UN Security Council with Israel having little faith in that body where an anti-Israel bloc of votes was a sure thing.

Arafat, Hillary's daughter and Hillary Clinton

The Arabs were able to have extreme anti-Israel resolutions automatically  passed in the General Assembly and in 1974, Yasser Arafat, chief of the Palestine Liberation Organization, was invited to address that body.

By 1975, an anti-Israel motion was put through describing Zionism as a form of racism.  This was annulled in 1991.  The definition is:  Zionism is a Jewish nationalist movement with the goal of the creation and support of a Jewish national state in Palestine, the ancient homeland of the Jews (Hebrew: Eretz Yisraʾel, “the Land of Israel”). Jews were known as wanderers, without a home.  They yearned for their own again, especially when treated as 2nd class citizens wherever they went.  They were suffering from Pogroms, anti-Semitism at its height, hated for being Jews !  How dare people say they were practicing racism !!!  Peoples were practicing racism on Jews !!!!!

Here are a few Ashkenazi Jews;  taken to Germany by the Romans after 70 CE.

And no, being Jewish is not like a race such as being Chinese, but it started with a particular family so most all share a few genes.  It's a belief that they share about G-d, a religion.  Jews have been found in all corners of the world and come in all colors; black, white, tan, brown, etc.  They can have all colors of hair and eyes.  There are varieties, and minds that are individual.

The Jerusalem question was repeatedly debated in the UN.  The 1947 Partition Resolution had proposed the establishment of an international regime for Jerusalem, to be administered by the UN Trusteeship Council.  The General Assembly's resolution on this subject in December 1948, and  again, later, were rejected by Israel.  The question was raised frequently since 1967.   Incidentally, King David built up Jerusalem.

The Arab refugee question was also frequently debated in the General Assembly.  The Arab states wanted full rights of repatriation while Israel insisted that the bulk of the refugees be resettled in the neighboring Arab states.  If passed, Israel would be no more; flooded with Arabs who came from neighboring countries, used as pawns by their leaders in their effort to destroy Israel.  They had come to Israel originally for their own needs of job-hunting.

Israel's cooperation in  UN regional projects was impeded by the Arab states' refusal to sit together with Israelis.

Apart from the Israel question, Jews, particularly in the Western Hemisphere, Western Europe, and Israel were concerned with the UN's activities in other fields, especially relating to the safeguarding and promoting of human rights.

They expressed their views on issues in these fields through membership in both national and international nongovernmental organizations.  Several Jewish international organizations have been granted consultative status, including the Agudat Israel World Organization, the Consultative Council of Jewish Organizations, the Coordinating Board of Jewish Organizations, the World Jewish Congress, the World Union of Progressive Judaism, and the World Union of Jewish Students.  Jewish organizations accredited to the UN organization meeting at San Francisco in 1945, urged successfully the inclusion of human rights clauses in the UN Charter.  Later, they made suggestions concerning the provisions of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.  Thereafter, they carried on a program intended to publicize and interpret the Declaration and the Genocide Convention, adopted by the UN Assembly in December 1949.  They have supported also the adoption of conventions on the rights of refugees and on the reduction and elimination of statelessness.

The World Jewish Congress was responsible for the The Kindertransport (German for 'Children Transport') that was a months-long secret mission to rescue Jewish children from Nazi-occupied Europe. The first group of children arrived in Harwich, England #OTD on December 2, 1938 (pictured).

Describing the situation in Gaza as “appalling and apocalyptic” the UN Deputy Secretary-General on Monday called on world leaders to act decisively to alleviate suffering and prevent the further devastation of the enclave says December 2024 news. "The nightmare in Gaza must stop," urges UN Deputy Chief.

A family photo hangs on the wall inside a burned-out house in Kibbutz Be'eri in the aftermath of the October 7, 2023 assault by Palestinian armed groups on southern Israel, October 14, 2023. © 2023 Marcus Yam / Los Angeles Times

It started with the Arab attack on young adult dancers living along the Gaza-Israel border on the last day of Sukkot, October 7, 2023.  They took over 200 hostages, with over 100 more still being held, most likely most of the number deceased by now.  They refuse to give the hostages up without wanting all of Israel in return.  Those slaughtered by the Arabs died in horrific ways, worse than any historic pogrom, images we can't ever forget, including ISIS type beheadings, marring of tiny children, etc.  horrific!

Now Israel is fighting in 7 fronts.  What good is the UN?  People steal the food from trucks that Israel brought in, sell it to their people at high prices.   The Palestinians and Hezbollah dig tunnels to hide in or travel in, bringing in ammunition.  UN's International Criminal Court  simply puts out an arrest warrant for Netanyahu and Gallant.  accusing THEM of war crimes !  Biden hasn't delivered the weaponry Israel was promised and needs to end the war.  Everyone is waiting to see how Trump will handle the problems.
