Hey Hey! Ukraine most recently struck Russia's largest oil refinery in Omsk on October 8, 2026. Their 2 drones killed 2 people. They hit the fuel hub; considered a big attack by this break-away from Russia's former country. Ukraine declared independence from the Soviet Union on August 24, 1991, and confirmed it with a nationwide referendum on December 1, 1991.
President Donald Trump stated that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy "wants to make problems for the world" and for American "farmers" and "ranchers" with high diesel fuel costs, adding that "it's time for Ukraine to get a new president."
The Context: Trump criticized Zelenskyy following Ukraine's ongoing strikes on Russian oil refineries and in the wake of a U.S.-Russia diesel supply deal. Do you want to make problems for our farmers in buying diesal fuel? an anguished Trump asks.
In late 2025 and early 2026, the Trump administration engaged in intense peace talks and proposed draft framework agreements, offering U.S. security guarantees. Zelenskyy initially stated that a document regarding post-war guarantees was finalized and awaiting official signatures.
Trump speaking to Farmers in WisconsinAccording to reports from Reuters and Yahoo News, Trump blamed Zelenskyy for contributing to soaring U.S. diesel fuel costs by ordering Ukrainian military strikes on Russian oil refineries and infrastructure. The remarks come amid an energy crisis that has driven U.S. diesel averages above $6.00 a gallon, creating heavy financial pressure for American farmers during harvest season.
Trump and Zelensky just recently in Ankara, Turkey Summit. The 2026 NATO Summit in Ankara, Turkey, took place on July 7–8, 2026, at the Presidential Complex (Beştepe Külliyesi).Trump is yelling for a change in Presidents in Ukraine over the higher cost per gallon of diesel gas for his followers of farmers, and they have been suffering from the attacks since February 20, 2014 (with the initial military operation and annexation of Crimea), which escalated into a full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022. Volodymyr Zelensky, a TV comedian, became President Zelenskyy on May 20, 2019.
In comments made to reporters at the White House, President Donald Trump criticized Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, stating, "He wants to make problems for the world. He wants to make problems for our farmers, our ranchers, with diesel fuel."
How crass! How disgusting he is, comparing our buying abilities of diesel fuel to the lives of Ukranians that Zelenskyy is trying to save.
To me, such a statement against a friend will only drive voters away from his name on the ballot.
An estimated several thousand American volunteers have served or are serving with the Armed Forces of Ukraine, according to estimates shared by museum curators and military officials. Now, they could be the voters who could tip the scales. This could be the sign needed to see how Americans feel about Ukraine.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has fought Russia's invasion through military defense, cross-border counter-offensives, long-range drone strikes on Russian energy infrastructure, and intensive global diplomacy. Ukrainian military fatalities since the 2022 Russian invasion are estimated between 125,000 and 150,000, according to studies by the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS).
The fall of Ukraine to Russia would fundamentally dismantle the post-Cold War European security architecture, bringing Russian military power directly to the borders of NATO member states and shifting the balance of power across the continent.
Direct Border Threats and Frontline Exposure: A Russian victory would push Moscow’s military and influence straight to the borders of Eastern European and Baltic states (such as Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, and Moldova), dramatically increasing the risk of direct border provocations or gray-zone hybrid attacks.
Massive Refugee Influxes: The collapse of Ukraine would likely trigger a catastrophic humanitarian wave, forcing European nations to manage and absorb an estimated 5 to 10 million additional refugees.
And talk about someone's expenses!!! Urging Defense Spending and Militarization: European powers would be forced into a permanent, heavy wartime economy, driving defense budgets up exponentially as nations rush to rearm against a emboldened Russian military.
EU is not alarmed yet, thinking that's it.- Erosion of Transatlantic Trust: If a Ukrainian defeat coincided with shifting U.S. political commitments or isolationist policies (such as those debated in Washington), European trust in American extended deterrence could fracture, leaving Europe scrambling for independent strategic autonomy. It seems Europe has already done this with France and Macron leading the European Countries today. Good Luck, Europe.
- Escalation of Hybrid and Sabotage Operations: European security services already brace for Russian sabotage, cyberattacks, and arson campaigns; a Russian triumph would likely intensify these covert destabilization efforts inside EU and NATO territory.
- Geopolitical Realignment: Neighboring post-Soviet states like Moldova and Georgia would face immediate existential pressure to bow to Kremlin dominance, while European economic recovery would continue to suffer under chronic geopolitical instability and fragmented energy/trade routes.
