Four on the Republican ticket not showing in picture are Nikki Haley, my favorite lady; Tim Scott; Francis Saurez, and Will Hurd from Texas.  Hutchinson bears my mother's genealogy ancestor's surname, having many Hutchinsons on her Robinson tree of New England, far enough from Arkansas.
Five of the 12 so far are or have been governors;  Florida, New Jersey, South Carolina, North Dakota and Arkansas.  a Senator, Representative and mayor.  Former President and V. President-Trump and Pence are on the Republican ticket; with  a wealthy man who rose to prominence in conservative circles as an "anti-woke" activist,  and also another who is a right-wing political commentator and conservative talk radio host.
Ramaswamy has centered his candidacy on criticizing what he calls "new secular religions" such as "woke-ism", "climate-ism", "covid-ism", and "gender ideology". He is also a critic of the environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) initiatives. In April 2023, Forbes estimated his net worth at $630 million; his wealth comes from biotech and financial businesses. He doesn't seem to realize that Zelensky comes from a Jewish home.   Vivek Ramaswamy, a long-shot Republican presidential candidate whose unorthodox views have drawn headlines, suggested without evidence on Thursday that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky had mistreated Jews and other religious minorities amid Russia’s invasion. How did he ever get such an idea?
Hurd joins a long list of Republicans who so far have launched their campaigns for the party's nomination, and the Democrat President Biden officially launched his reelection bid with a video released on April 25, exactly four years after he entered the race in 2020.
Former Texas Congressman, 45 year old  Will Hurd announced he's running for president on "CBS Mornings" Thursday.  The former Congressman was just on The View this morning and led a lively discussion with our ladies. He has an excellent background of working with the CIA as an undercover CIA officer.  “The son of a black salesman and white seamstress, in his 20s he served overseas in the CIA in dangerous places. In his 30s, he helped build a cybersecurity business and served three terms in Congress. In his 40s, he is now in business helping companies ensure America keeps its edge in technology,” his campaign website states.

Hurd has commented about Israel and Iran often on social media. “Let’s not overcomplicate the Iran situation. The Iranian regime wants to have nuclear weapons. It is in the best interests of the United States, Israel and the free world to stop that from happening,” he wrote last January. In April 2016, he posted a photo of himself alongside then Speaker of the House Paul Ryan at a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. “It’s a privilege to join Speaker Ryan as we seek to further strengthen our relationship with Israel,” he wrote, tagging the official Israel prime minister Twitter handle. In 2019, he wrote a column titled “Standing with Israel Against Terrorism.” “I am proud to stand behind our greatest ally in the Middle East,” he wrote. “I have made multiple trips to Israel and seen firsthand the threats they face every day.” In the piece, he also referred to “President Obama’s flawed nuclear deal with Iran.”

Nikki Haley (née Randhawa) b:  January 20, 1972 (age 51 years), Bamberg, SC and is 51 years old, former governor, also of Indian ancestors, was the UN speaker for Israel, defending her against a lot of anti-Israeli countries.  She did the best job I've ever seen.  The former US envoy to the UN, who is seeking the White House in 2024, has a history of lauding and defending Israel.

Tim Scott:  Timothy Eugene Scott (born September 19, 1965) 58 yrs old, is an American businessman and politician serving as the junior United States senator from South Carolina since 2013. He is running for President of the United StatesNikki Haley, who was then governor of South Carolina, appointed Scott to the U.S. Senate in 2013 to fill a vacancy. He retained his Senate seat after winning a special election in 2014, and was elected to a full term in 2016 and reelected in 2022. He became the first African-American senator to be elected from the Southern United States since the Reconstruction era. Scott advocated continued military presence in Afghanistan and believed early withdrawal would benefit al-Qaeda. He views Iran as the world's most dangerous country and believes the U.S. should aid pro-democracy groups there. Scott opposed the 2011 military intervention in Libya.

He signed a letter with others that said, "“The guidance does something America has never done before: unilaterally impose territorial restrictions on U.S. scientific research aid to Israel,” wrote the senators. “Decades ago, the U.S. and Israel bilaterally agreed to such limits against the backdrop of unique regional conditions, but in 2020, both sides rescinded and rejected them as discriminatory.  “The new guidance as written constitutes an antisemitic boycott of Israel. The American people and Congress broadly and deeply oppose boycott efforts against Israel, which have been repeatedly defined in U.S. law as efforts to limit commercial with persons doing business in any territories controlled by Israel… The State Department’s own Special Envoy To Monitor and Combat Antisemitism was excluded from deliberations over this guidance and did not clear it,” the senators continued. This guidance in particular puts Americans’ safety, security, and prosperity at risk because it politicizes and undermines cooperation on science and technology, including in areas such as defense and medicine where also our Israeli allies have proven themselves critical partners.”

Francis Xavier Suarez age 46,  born October 6, 1977) is an American lawyer and politician serving as the 43rd mayor of Miami since 2017.  The son of former mayor of Miami Xavier Suarez, Suarez served on the Miami City Commission from 2009 to 2017. He was first elected mayor of Miami in 2017 and re-elected in 2021There's no doubt that Miami should be full of Jews, Jews whose families moved there from New York.

The original developers of Miami did not want Greater Miami to become “a Jewish outfit.” It did not, but the Jews have left an indelible footprint on the area’s history. The Jewish population decreased, but stabilized at about 120,000 with a high percentage of retired and elderly persons. There are more than 60 congregations, 34 Jewish educational institutions and three Jewish Community Centers. The highest percentage and increase in Jewish population is in North Dade, especially in Aventura. Greater Miami hosts Florida’s third largest Jewish population and the nation’s tenth largest.

Suarez, who is married with two young children, is a corporate and real estate attorney who previously served as a city of Miami commissioner. He has also positioned himself as someone who can help the party further connect with Hispanics. In recent months, he has made visits to early GOP voting states as he weighed a possible 2024 campaign.  He is more moderate than DeSantis and Trump, but has threaded the needle carefully on cultural issues that have become popular among GOP politicians.

Suarez has been critical of DeSantis, dismissing some of the state laws he has signed on immigration as “headline grabbers” lacking in substance. He has said immigration is an issue that “screams for a national solution” at a time when many Republicans back hard-line policies.
