UFOs/UAPs Over Oregon

Pilots have reported several sightings of unexplained lights and objects in the skies over Oregon, particularly in late 2024. The incidents include reports of red, circular lights and multiple objects moving at high speeds and different altitudes. While the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has confirmed a pilot reported "unidentified lights," some experts suggest the objects were likely satellites or other conventional aircraft, though others are skeptical, especially given the reports of unusual maneuvers and speeds.

Here's a beautiful sunset with Haystack Rock near us.

While much of the country has been hearing the news, rumors and outcry about drones in the northeast, some unusual reports from the Oregon Coast have also come to light. An alleged recording of pilots communicating with control towers in Oregon and Washington disclosed reporting of fast moving flying objects, one of which was said to be directly over Florence on Dec. 7. The recording went public Dec. 8 on the Avocado Flight Youtube channel and has attracted the attention of media and others nationwide.

"Pilots have been reporting mysterious UFO sightings in Oregon. NBC News' Gadi Schwartz speaks to the co-founder of Americans for Safe Aerospace Ryan Graves about the sightings and how pilots are handling it. "

  • Pilot encounters: Multiple commercial and medical evacuation pilots reported seeing unusual, colorful lights in the sky over western Oregon.
  • At least four commercial airline pilots have encountered mysterious, colorful, circular lights “moving at extreme speeds” through the skies above Oregon this past weekend, according to local reports.  Pilots and nearby air traffic control dispatchers discussed the alarming sightings in air traffic control audio archives from Dec. 7, which were obtained by OregonLive.

Here's how it may have looked:  December 2025 is coming up.  Be on the lookout for more than Santa Claus.

  • Unusual behavior: Pilots described the lights as moving at "extreme speeds," shooting up to 50,000 feet, and making erratic, rapid direction changes. Air traffic control audio from the time captured pilots discussing the sightings.
  • Official stance then: The FAA confirmed that at least one pilot reported seeing the lights but did not provide further details. The FAA  (Federal Aviation Administration) shares well-documented cases with the Department of Defense's All-Domain Anomaly Resolution Office, which investigates such phenomena.
