Israelis from Northern Israel, especially like Kiryat Shimona,  are now homeless, having to move from their homes and the fire.

Vast swathes of the western Galilee in northern Israel were consumed by wildfires on Monday after rockets launched by Hezbollah set the area alight. Israeli media reported more than 10 villages threatened by fires, with over 2,500 acres of land burnt. Eleven people were hospitalised as a result of smoke inhalation.  As ofd this month,  June 2024, the city has been significantly damaged due to Hezoballah missile attacks, causing constant fires that have decimated the area and resulted in nearly all of its inhabitants displaced.

There was a department store we shopped in in Kiryat Shimona, where I bought a dress, as I remember.  It was a well-known city to those of us in Tzfat.  Kiryat Shmona Town of the Eight) is a city in the Northern District of Israel on the western slopes of the Hula Valley near the Lebanese border. In 2022 it had a population of 22,492, the majority of whom are Jews, particularly of Moroccan descent. Located near the Israel–Lebanon border, Kiryat Shmona is Israel's northernmost city.
