The official position of the Republican Party is now that the January
6th riot and insurrection at the capitol constituted “legitimate political discourse”. This is their official position because this is the narrative that their leader Donald Trump wants to convey. But judge with your own eyes. How do these scenes of violence towards police and property constitute anything but anarchy?

Even Mitch McConnell concedes the truth: “We saw what happened,” he
told reporters. “It was a violent insurrection for the purpose of trying to
prevent the peaceful transfer of power after a legitimately certified
election, from one administration to the next. That’s what it was.”
shown what it really is: lawless, corrupt, grasping at power no matter
what the cost, a foe of democracy, and a slave to an authoritarian,
narcissistic egomaniac. How can Republicans support such a repulsive
and abhorrent figure as Donald Trump, a Putin fan-boy who never met a
dictator he didn’t like, a friend to white supremacists and Proud Boys,
and so ignorant of science that he suggested ingesting bleach as a
treatment for corona virus. How can conservative Christians support a
man who personifies the opposite of every Christian value? Trump is truly
the father of lies. If anyone could be termed an antichrist, surely it is
him.
Religious conservatives, surely you can do better than this! Adultery,
lying, stealing, coercion, intimidation, publicly mocking war heroes and
disabled people (and anyone who crosses him)....what better candidate
for Christians to rally around and support! What an inspiring figure!
What a fine example for your children to emulate! Could any party or
individual have picked a less inspiring and more contemptible person to
vote for? Only if they wanted to burn everything to the ground….
