A 3rd Alarmist to Our Democracy Who's Anti-Israel: Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez

Another anti-Israel Democrat new to Congress is Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, daughter of Sergio Ocasio, of a Puerto Rican Catholic family.  Her dad became an architect, Bronx born.  First living in an apartment in the Parkchester neighborhood, then moved to a house in Yorktown Heights, a suburb in Westchester.  
                                                       

Ocasio was upset by Trump's disrespect when she won.
His remarks upset her.  How does she think he feels with her wanting to
impeach him?  The interviewer of her
said she was a new force to the Democratic Party.  

"On June 26, 2018, Ocasio-Cortez drew national recognition when she won the Democratic Party's primary election for New York's 14th congressional district, a district almost 50% Hispanic, defeating the ten-term incumbent Congressman, Democratic Caucus Chair Joe Crowley, in what was widely seen as the biggest upset victory in the 2018 midterm election primaries. She beat Republican opponent Anthony Pappas in the November 6, 2018 general election, and at age 29, became the youngest woman ever to serve in the United States Congress. Her major in college was INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS. 
                                                      

Like 2 others, she is a Democratic Socialist, even a card carrying one as a member of the Democratic Socialists of America.   A member of the Democratic Party, she has been the U.S. Representative for New York's 14th congressional district since January 3, 2019. The district includes the eastern part of The Bronx and portions of north-central Queens in New York City. 

The platform she is known for is: "She has advocated for a progressive platform that includes Medicare For All, a federal jobs guarantee, guaranteed family leave, establishing a Green New Deal, abolishing U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, free public college and trade school, infrastructure projects for renewable energy, and a 70% marginal tax rate for incomes above $10 million." That means that all very wealthy people have to stop working before they go over making $10 or they'll be in this tax zone and they'll be making a lot less.

As for Israel, in May 2018, Ocasio-Cortez criticized the Israel Defense Forces' use of deadly force against Palestinians participating in the 2018 Gaza border protests, calling it a "massacre" in a tweet. In a July 2018 interview with the PBS series Firing Line, Ocasio-Cortez said that she is "a proponent of a two-state solution" and called Israel's presence in the West Bank an "occupation of Palestine". Her use of the term "occupation" drew backlash from a number of pro-Israel groups and commentators. Others defended her remarks, citing the United Nations' designation of the territory in the West Bank as occupied." She shows off a mentality of anti-Semitism and pro-Palestine, which has not been the USA's sentiment.  She's backing something very sensitive to this country, already imbued with enough anti-Semitism today coursing through our world as it did in 1929.  

Both the UN, backed by Arab countries in this comment, and Cortez are ignoring facts in that Israel's birth was in the process back during WWI with the allies and that England was given the mandate to run Palestine for 30 years, then give the reigns to the Jews for a Jewish Homeland.  This was decided and voted for by the League of Nations and the United Nations.  Israel is not an occupier of Palestine but the citizens of Israel.  Such wording that Cortez uses has political connotations that are negative towards Jews and Israel.  

Isn't it enough that the UN is a slanted group against Israel but that our government includes people completely illiterate in the facts about Israel now, depending on the UN for information?  

Like the 2 others she's for impeachment of Trump.  "  Oh oh, did he accept a stick of gum from someone?  Now we have to worry about gifts?  Or his right hand man wearing a wire?  Article 25?  
                                                   

• Impeachment of President Trump: On June 28, 2018, Ocasio-Cortez told CNN she would support the impeachment of President Trump, citing Trump's alleged violations of the Emoluments Clause and stating that "we have to hold everyone accountable and that no person is above that law." "The emoluments clause, also called the foreign emoluments clause, is a provision of the U.S. Constitution (Article I, Section 9, Paragraph 8) that generally prohibits federal officeholders from receiving any gift, payment, or other thing of value from a foreign state or its rulers, officers, or representatives."

• Amazon HQ2: Ocasio-Cortez opposed a planned deal by New York City to give Amazon.com $3 billion in state and city subsidies and tax breaks to build secondary headquarters in an area near her congressional district.  She lost the chance for New York to make a lot of money, and people are up in arms about what she has cost them.

• Amazon made it official: It chose the Long Island City neighborhood of Queens to build a $2.5 billion campus that could house 25,000 workers, in addition to new offices planned for northern Virginia. Cuomo and New York Mayor Bill de Blasio, Democrats who have been political adversaries for years, trumpeted the decision as a major coup after edging out more than 230 other proposals.  She did not understand what the deal was all about and she nixed it.  "

 New York Mayor, Bill de Blasio, said that Cortez's comments about Amazon were  wrong.  She said the $3 billion in tax incentives for Amazon could not be used to fix subways and pay teachers.  The fact is that there is no money and that tax revenue from Amazon would have helped the city very much.  

Amazon canceled its plan to build a 25,000 job campus in Queens on Thursday.  The local opposition to tax incentives for the Seattle-based company was fierce.  De Blasio and New York Governor Andrew Como said that the deal would have brought $27 billion in tax revenues to the city and state.  

                                                         

"During the 2016 presidential season, she worked as an organizer for Sen. Bernie Sanders, who ran in the Democratic primary. In 2017, Ocasio-Cortez launched her campaign to unseat Crowley, the powerful Democrat who chairs the party in Queens County."  She calls herself an organizer.  She went to homes of people 

" that her campaign reached doors not usually "knocked on" by the Democratic establishment: "young people ... communities of color, people who speak English as a second language, working class people, people with two jobs that are usually too 'busy' to vote."                             

"Born to a working-class Puerto Rican family in the Bronx, New York, Ocasio-Cortez graduated from Boston University, majoring in economics and international relations, and worked for Senator Ted Kennedy's office where she focused on immigration issues while in college." She had to take restaurant jobs to keep her family afloat, like waitressing.  

Her plan of Green-is to be carbon neutral within 10 years.  

• upgrading all existing buildings" in the country for energy efficiency;
• working with farmers "to eliminate pollution and greenhouse gas emissions ... as much as is technologically feasible" (while supporting family farms and promoting "universal access to healthy food");
• "Overhauling transportation systems" to reduce emissions — including expanding electric car manufacturing, building "charging stations everywhere," 
• I guess she's not going to let business be the leaders but that the government will take over in all areas.  That's how she will vote, at any rate.  

So far, I see 3 young women, all Socialist Democrats, that are very much against our Republican Party-specifically against the President who are all ready to impeach him, and that they are very much against Israel.  What's happening to our women?  What's happening to our government?  How did New York think a Socialist would vote?
