Evidently David Duke said something nice about Trump causing people to think he is backing him. Donald said, when confronted about accepting such a positive vote, that he had never heard of him and said he would research and find out just who he is. Trump felt he couldn't comment about whether or not he was flattered to have his endorsement since he hadn't heard of him.
Who hasn't heard of David Duke! He's one of the evil elements of our society. He is "an American white nationalist, antisemitic conspiracy theorist, far-right politician and former Grand Wizard of the Ku Klux Klan.
David Duke is 65 years old. He graduated from Louisiana State U and attended the Interregional Academy of Personnel Management.
"In September 2005, Duke received a Candidate of Sciences degree in history from the Ukrainian Interregional Academy of Personnel Management (MAUP), an institution that has been described by the Anti-Defamation League as a "University of Hate". There were Ukrainians who actually helped the Nazis to hunt down and slaughter Jews, so I'm not surprised that such a school would be there. Duke's doctoral thesis was titled "Zionism as a Form of Ethnic Supremacism". Now he refers to himself as Dr. Duke and Dr. David Duke, PhD.
The Anti-Defamation League claims that MAUP is the main source of antisemitic activity and publishing in Ukraine, and its "anti-Semitic actions" were "strongly condemned" by Foreign Minister Borys Tarasyuk and various organizations. The Anti-Defamation League also reviewed a book Duke wrote called "My Awakening" The Anti-Defamation League book review refers to it as containing racist, antisemitic, sexist and homophobic views.

He says of himself that he is a racial realist and just wants to preserve his own white heritage. He tells people that the Jews control the Federal Reserve Banks, the US federal government and all the media. Wow! We make up only 2% of the USA population, 0.02% of the world's population and we sure are bad in his eyes. We also happen to belong to the white race, but of course in his eyes we do not garner favor because we are Jewish. This Duke only supports the preservation of his Western culture and of course, the traditionalist Christian family values. He has been rightly accused of supporting Holocaust denial, so probably is for Iran in this, since they also deny its history.

(How these Holocaust deniers can cry foul about the existence of this horror in our history behooves me. It is recorded in every country's history, especially in Germany's since they are great recorders of what they did during this period. It is recorded and documented in the USA, and our soldiers saw the results when they went into the crematoriums of Germany, Poland and Eastern Europe, etc. It really is a stupid claim except to people who have had no education and cannot read, I suppose. )
This man has been a one-term Republican Louisiana State Representative, and then he was a candidate in the Democratic presidential primaries in 1988, and tried it again in 1992. He has been unsuccessful running for the State Senate in Louisiana, the US Senate, the US House of Representatives and the Governor of Louisiana. Maybe it's because his record shows that he is a felon and has plead guilty to defrauding supporters. He had cried being broke and had a sob story to go with it of losing his home and having no money in order to garnish donations for his cause. He used the donations for his gambling habit.
He is for the Constitution, that is if he really knows what it says and implies, and is for the abolition of the IRS, is for voluntary racial segregation, is against Communism and is all for white separatism.
I hope Donald Trump understands that men like David Duke is an evil element in our USA's society. I had a taste of this while living in Ontario, Oregon, which lies on the Oregon side of the Idaho/Oregon border in a semi-desert. My husband was the president of Kiwanis, a service organization. They held a morning meeting every week at a lovely popular restaurant that accommodated them in a back room, as many restaurant have. One evening Danny received a frantic phone call from the restaurant manager, saying that a group wanted to reserve that room for their meeting, and at first they thought it was the LDS, Latter Day Saints, or Mormons, since their name was so similar, but they weren't. They were a branch of David Duke's group of Neo Nazis led by a follower of Richard Butler-founder of the Aryan Nations from across the border in Hayden Lake, Idaho.

Most likely their leader was "Shaun Patrick Winkler — who studied the Christian Identity message of hate under Richard Girnt Butler born 1918 until the iconic racist leader’s death in 2004 at age 86 in Hayden, Idaho — purchased 17.3 acres of timbered property last year in the Hoodoo Mountains of Bonner County, Idaho, not far from the former site of the Aryan Nations “world headquarters” in adjoining Kootenai County. "In the early 1970s, Butler moved with his family from Palmdale, California, to North Idaho, where he founded the Aryan Nations, also known as the Church of Jesus Christ–Christian, whose ideology is a mixture of Christian Identity and Nazism. The organization operated from a 20-acre (81,000 m2) compound in Hayden Lake, Idaho, a suburb of tourist town Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, which became the center of a U.S. neo-Nazi network with worldwide links."
He reportedly planned to open it up for families affiliated with the Klan or Aryan Nations to move in and build residences.
Luckily, this movement was finally stopped. "Aryan Nations badly damaged the fabric of local life as well as the region’s vital tourist economy in the 1980s and 1990s," so economically, if that's your only concern, it was a bad deal for business folks. You don't make money on hatred. They wanted it for Friday night. Luckily, we were observant Jews of Friday night being the start of Shabbat, and our custom was to have a lovely Shabbat dinner at home. Danny did not go down and confront the group, as he really would have liked to do, but the police did. They were called by the manager and these people had come in armed with guns! They were not peaceful nice people. They were looking for trouble. Even though Ontario was a cowboy town in my eyes with men wearing cowboy boots more than anything else, it was not prepared for something like this. The thing is that there was a town in Idaho where they had centered, and here they were, looking for trouble. We see that one horrid person like David Duke has spread his vile hate like a deadly flu, and others have branched off of it like ISIS has developed in the Middle East from other large terrorist groups like Al Qaeda.
