October 7th's attack on Israel brought on action from Israel.

November 15th:  Israeli air strikes flattened five buildings in the Lebanese capital Beirut’s southern suburbs.  The Israeli military said its fighter jets attacked munitions warehouses, a headquarters and other infrastructure used by the Lebanese group Hezbollah.

Reporting from Beirut, Al Jazeera’s Zeina Khodr said the Israeli military had issued two forced evacuation orders before the attacks.

1.  Hezbollah suffered major setbacks that degraded its capabilities  and killed many of its leadership, including the 17 and 18 September explosions of its handheld communication devices and the 20 September assassination of Ibrahim Aqil, commander of the elite Redwan Force. Airstrikes by the Israeli Air Force (IAF) also targeted Hezbollah's military bases, command centers, airstrips, and weapons caches across southern Lebanon.

2. These setbacks culminated in the 27 September assassination of Hassan Nasrallah-the secretary-general of Hezbollah and other senior commanders, including Ali Karaki, commander of Hezbollah in south Lebanon, in an airstrike that destroyed their underground headquarters in Beirut's Dahieh suburbs.

3. On 29 September, the New York Times reported that Iranian officials debated how to respond to Nasrallah's death.

The Days Repentance Operation was how Israel struck Iran's military targets of manufacturing sites of missiles adding up to about 20 sites spread across Iran, and Iran is keeping quiet about it.  It's nothing for them to brag about;  how little Israel could sneak up on them and hit what they thought was "child-proof."   This was in retaliation for what Iran had done to Israel.  Iran waited for Israel's reactions to their hits for an unbearable time to know what they would do.                                                       Nasrallah (below)

On 1 October 2024, Iran launched about 200 ballistic missiles at targets in Israel, in at least two waves, the largest attack during the ongoing Iran–Israel conflict. Iran's codename for the attack was Operation True Promise 2 (Persian: عملیات وعده صادق ۲). It was the second direct attack by Iran against Israel, the first being the April 2024 strikes.

Israel retaliated by executing limited strikes on Iran on 18 April 2024. The Israeli strike reportedly destroyed an air defense radar site guarding the Natanz nuclear facility, aiming to communicate Israel's capabilities to strike Iran without escalating tensions further.

On 31 July 2024, Ismail Haniyeh, the political leader of Hamas, was assassinated in the Iranian capital Tehran by an apparent Israeli attack.     Affairs of  Iran, condemned this assassination and said that Haniyeh's "blood will never be wasted".

Iran in turn claimed that this strike was an act of "self-defense" in retaliation for Israel's assassinations of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran, Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, and IRGC general Abbas.

In September 2024, a major escalation took It It was a place in the Hezbollah–Israel conflict that started after the Iranian-backed group and initiated attacks against Israel on 8 October 2023, a day after Hamas's 7 October attack on Israel.
